I liked it. Thought it was effective, and it leaves a huge question mark for his eventual return.
Gonna be rather tough to stick through Raw without him around, quite honestly, but he deserves the break.

Will be interesting to see when and how he returns thats for sure, very wise move to take him off TV for the time being, gives him plenty of time to nurse his injuries and get refreshed. I wonder how long he'll be gone for? And if he'll go for the Undertaker when he comes back or get involved with someone else? I fully expect Punk to come back when WWE has a PPV in Chicago in a few months. I can't remember if it's Payback or MITB though... Having him come back in his hometown will guarantee a big pop. |

I think its a pretty safe bet that he will comeback as a face.He's leaving right now to "Find Himself" and will return in a few months.Heyman will be angry and turn on him with Brock Lesnar which in turn is going to set up the rumored Brock .Vs Punk match at SummerSlam.
Clearly the WWE need a #2 or arguably #1 face(sense Cena gets booed by more the half of the crowd) and that guy is Punk.He doesn't have to be a clean cut babyface but more along the lines of Austin/Triple H were he still has and edge to him.
Their to many heels right now and both Ryback and Ziggler are getting pushes towards the top in that catergory and then theirs still The Shield,Swagger,Show,Henry,Barrett....ect all as main eventers or mid card heels.

I was hoping for something a little more definitive to let everyone know for sure that he was leaving, but I get what they were going for. Like others said, he probably will take a hiatus with the reasoning being that he needed to find himself and regain his confidence. I also definitely see him returning as a babyface, BTW.

Does no one else see it. "I always looking for that next challenge..." They are (I am hoping) setting up SCSA vs CM Punk. Stone Cold has already stated that he would come back to feud with Punk or Cena and by next year he could definitely get in ring shape by the end of the year. I know it maybe a far-fetched but I could see it happen.

Same here. He's my favorite current wrestler hands down. I like others on the roster but no one is quite the same for me. It's going to be tough watching WWE without him around and I can't wait till he comes back. Face or heel, I don't even care. I just want him back on my tv as soon as possible. That being said, right now is the perfect time to break D-Bry away from Kane and put him back in the main event scene. For me personally he's the one who can somewhat fill the void that Punk will be leaving. Him or Ambrose and we all know Ambrose won't be going into single main event status yet. |

I loved it. He really made you believe that he was devastated by all that's happened lately, especially when he hugged Paul.
Cena may talk about how losing at Mania devastated him, but Punk made you feel it.

I liked it, like someone above said, goes out quietly, returns with an Impact when people have all but forgotten. Hopefully he'll be back in the summer.
