I know not a lot of us are happy about UFC choosing Sonnen to fight Jones, but get over it already. The fight is happening and it goes down April 27 in Newark, NJ. Also on the card is a middleweight showdown between Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher and a fight between two heavyweights, Roy Nelson and Cheick Kongo. 12. Light Heavyweight Championship: Jon Jones (c) vs. Chael Sonnen
Jones loses the title by DQ after sticking his fingers in Sonnens eyes repetitively. Chael P Sonnen, new champ!
On a serious note, the only two fighters I ever saw having a chance against Jones was Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida.
People gave Shogun and Rampage a fair shot to beat Jones, welp honestly I'd say Sonnen is better and has more chance than both of those guys, should be a good scrap.
11. Middleweight bout: Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher
Hope Bisping can get his title shot eventually, I'm rooting for him, but for some reason have a bad feeling he is going to get finished again...

I don't think Bisping will get finished. Its always possible, but I don't think Alan Belcher is all that good. Hope he proves me wrong.

I'll watch Belcher in one fight, and be convinced he is awesome.
Then I'll watch him in another and go "wtf was that?"
Belcher on a good night steamrolls Bisping.

bisping takes care of the 'b' level fighters. its when he fights someone good that he gets taken care of. one could debate that he beat sonnen, fine... but aside from sonnen, he hasnt done the job when it truly counts.
that being said... i think alan belcher is a 'b' level fighter, i dont think hes in that upper tier. bisping by decision.
the entire main card looks lovely, and im looking forward to the womens fight and garcia/mckenzie too. two alternate styles, garcia throwing like a savage [hopefully] and mckenzie looking for the mckenzitine.
oh yea, erik perez is a beast too. him and erick silva are my two up and comers [im not sure if silva counts, but he did get smothered by fitch, so people may be forgetting about him again.]

I don't think he beat Sonnen, Rogans commentary made me think he beat Sonnen till I rewatched it.

i didnt think he won the fight either, but i know a handful of people did, so i threw it out there before someone brought it up.

I thought Bisping won the first 2 rounds, with the 2nd round being close. So it was a wash to me.

Catone vs. Head has been cancelled due to Catone being hospitalized from being dehydrated. He missed weight by 2lbs yesterday.
