I'll always be a fan and I'll never understand this board tbh.

Before his return, everyone on here spent years pining for his return and, when he came back, this place went absolutely bananas,
But, because he wasn't competing on RAW and only made sporadic appearances every now and then, we all got pretty annoyed with him. The reason being was that he said he wasn't going away and then spent all the time he was off telling everyone he was back and that WWE was his home again and tried to pretend he wasn't there for the pay and publicity.
It was unacceptable for someone to come back but not come back and tell the world he was back every five minutes, turn up and get the big matches and piss all over guys like Punk who has been representing the WWE 24/7 365.
Then you compare it to Brock Lesnar's situation who is openly not forcing himself into the product or telling anyone he's a WWE guy, and because he's not lying to anyone, we all love his sporadic appearances.

He's one of the best all-around talents the biz has ever seen and likely the biggest name ever in terms of mainstream recognition. We are all lucky to have witnessed his rare, brilliant career.

I love the Rock. My all time favorite.
I will not read another Rock thread, including this one, filled with dorks who bash and hate him because of rumors that lack substance and have cloudy information.

Brock Lesnar would never say "I'm a WWE guy." that's not his shtick. He was never the people's champion. He's a no rules following, ass kicking machine. Which isn't far cry from reality. Apples and oranges.

I used to think he was overrated. Especially in the ring. But he won me over year ago during the "Hollywood" Rock era. Since then I've been a fan. I can't lie and say I've enjoyed every moment of his return, but I'm still glad he came back.

I don't know why disliking The Rock has to have anything to do with his injury c-o-n-spiracy or anything coming from the dirtsheets. I just think he's been a shell of his former self. Which is fine because it's provided us with some fun moments, and for the most part I enjoyed his build with Cena leading up to Mania 28. However, everything the second time around with Cena was pretty bad and I don't think anything he did with CM Punk was very special.
I have zero problem with WWE making as much money off Rock as possible, but I just enjoy Rock the actor now, not so much Rock the wrestler anymore. I get why they made him WWE Champion, but I didn't care for the decision, and I feel like he cuts the same promo over-and-over again. Rock doesn't owe me anything and I got my fill of him from 97-03 personally. So it is what it is I guess. I don't have a problem with Rock coming back and doing super match-ups or whatever, but I don't think he's had a good match in 2013 yet.
I will say that seeing Rock live in 2013 was identical to seeing Hogan live in 2002 when he was champion. The crowd reaction was the same. It's sort of the, "we don't really care what version of you we are getting, we're getting you" type of reaction. Rock's a legend and he's earned that reaction from the crowd imo. The nostalgia setting in with the audience doesn't mean we are getting something great though.

Huge fan of his, always have been, always will. I'm not the kind to hold petty, political grudges on stuff I know nothing about.

He was great when a full time competitor..now he is a name on a marque.
I respect him but wish he would stay away.

He was my favorite wrestler growing up. Loved his promos, loved the rock bottom, loved the sunglasses, expensive shirts, the peoples elbow, everything. Now I respect him for everything he's done and it's been cool having him back but I feel like there's really no where else he can go.

I like him as The Rock. Not Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

some of the replies in here make me want to shoot my brain out and junp around on its remainings ... The Rock is probably the greatest of all time and I appreciate every minute of him on WWE TV. I will always be a member of TeamBringIt.
btw. can't wait for everybody kissing Austins ass if/when he returns for one last match ...
