Are Ikea Detolf glass cabinets good for displaying mattel figures. They are 65 bucks I don't want to waste my time and money if the figs don't look good in them. Anyone have them, could someone post a pic of one with there figures? Any replies will be appreciated, thanks! Sorry if this is in wrong board, but i am not sure where else to put this

I currently have 3 of them! And yes, they are awesome! At the price, its actually pretty affordable and a good deal for a glass display. Its perfect to display anything and everything.. The Detolf's were made to display our collection! Here is mine as of 21st April 2013.. Hope to be getting a couple more Detolf's soon...

Keep in mind though that the weight limit for each of the glass shelve is 13lbs. Shouldn't be a problem to display our WWE action figures, but careful consideration must be taken if you want to display something heavy. My replica belts weigh 7.5lbs at most, so they should be fine as it hasn't exceeded the weight limit of the glass. But that 13lbs weight limit is just something to be noted so the glass and metal pillars holding the glass won't break.

Yeah, I have a couple. They are amazing. My only gripe is lighting. They sell lights for it, but they are halogen bulbs and the heat can screw up your figs. So I had to get creative with some led strips.

I would say majority of collectors on here use this display case. Great price too. I hear they're a real bitch to assemble.

Those look sick! I'd get them for my collection, but I would need about 15 of them at the moment to display everything and at $65 a pop, just not cost friendly.

I would say majority of collectors on here use this display case. Great price too. I hear they're a real bitch to assemble. Not really.. I thought the assembly is pretty straightorward. It was more of a bitch to carry it home..haha.. Damn heavy! The first one I bought, I had to squeeze it in the back of the cab with part of the package protruding out. And it was hell carrying and dragging it up to my apartment. Then a few months later I bought another two, this time around, learnt my lesson, so I had Ikea deliver them to my place..

I have two and I think they are awesome and worth every penny. I actually need a 3rd one that I have been putting off for a couple months now. Highly recommended and then check out the 3 tier spice racks/organizers at Kmart or on Amazon to display your figures. They fit perfectly on the shelves of the Detolf cabinet. I would agree that they are both A) a b*tch to assemble (at least the first time around) and B) heavy as (so get someone to help you). I loaded both in my jeep and carried them up our stairs by myself and while it was fine, it would have been much easier to just ask a buddy. Awkward and weirdly distributed weight.

Here's my thread with my collection using these. My shelves are a little crowded. But I love the look of these. I'm already planning on getting a couple more when I move and have more space. wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&post=5546140 They are extremely heavy so have someone help carry. And I'm usually the macho type that hates asking for help carrying stuff, I didn't mind asking for help with these as I live in a second story apartment. Also assembly really isn't that bad. It took me a bit to assemble the first one, but I didn't even use instructions the second time around and it went up a lot faster. Again, I would reccomend help as it makes it easier. I had my fiance help hold things in place while I connected them.

They are amazing! My sig is old, I need a 4th one now. Great price for what u get. Definitely get some help putting it together. It's definitely a 2 man job. Basic rings fit nicely on top. I also use the 3 tier spice racks from BedBathBdyond and they fit perfectly on each shelf

How are they at keeping dust out? Not fantastic. Dust gets in every cabinet u buy so long there is an opening (near the hinges).

The dust doesn't really get in too much.
