even though it is speculation it opens up some genuinely frightening possibilities I hadn't considered.
for instance it never occurred to me for one second that Venom would be anyone else other than Brock.it seems to be that Webb has genuine respect for the material so hopefully he will stay traditional

Yeah, it seems like he just wants a role like that or the article is saying it because he was Flash in Raimi Spider-Man. They need to do Venom as Eddie, no other way, its the simplest thing to do if you dont mess around with the original. I would slowly introduce Eddie in ASM2 if they could or a bit quicker in ASM3 and then develop the character outside of being Venom, then have the collapse of his life which is linked to Spider-Man and continue a slow turn into Venom, have the audience gagging for it instead of a "heres Eddie, hes a reported, Parker/Spidey do something bad, Eddie mad, Eddie=Venom". It could be one of the greatest things ever if they really put all their effort and stock into making it that way.
Also saw Wolverine today, really liked it but was a little slow at times although it was that sort of film and story for the character so it wasnt so bad to me but I can see an average viewer being a bit more impatient with it unfortunately. I also sat next to some really smelly kid that was a nuisance but the movie distracted me from that mostly and thankfully. Love the build to DOFP to, so, so, so looking forward to that film its unbelievable. Would love if they squeezed in a Deadpool reference somewhere but thats more wishful thinking than something thats likely at all.

How incredible?! It's obvious Loki betrays Thor again as during the end of the trailer when Malekith and Kurse appear to be doing something to Jane, Loki is standing to the left.

I've just read a trailer break-down over on Empire magazines site and Alan Taylor really has some interesting stuff to say. Despite rumours that he was having differences with Marvel and his heart wasn't in it ect, he seems really proud of what he's done.
He also mentions that Heimdall has some really impressive scenes in the movie and while Malekith is the main threat, Algrim/Kurse is the real villain of the movie.

Looking back, I have no idea why. Not sure what to think of this rumor. I'm just picturing Batman Forever all over again. |

So there's footage of Guardians of the Galaxy and Days of Future Past from SDCC floating around on the web, I'm not going to post it but I have to say, although the clip of Guardians is only short...holy crap, does it look amazing! The final line of the trailer is great 'They call themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy...what a bunch of A-holes'.
DOFP looks incredible, aswel.
