I hope she's not guilty. The guy seemed like a real d-bag. Not saying he deserved to die, but it seems like he really treated her poorly and drove her over the edge.

Eh no one really gets the Death Penalty anymore. Maybe people aren't getting it but there are still many dying from it. 18 still scheduled to die this year. In fact, one of them is a woman. |

It's possible she will get it but unlikely. There were only 78 last year which is the lowest it's ever been and this year I'm sure it'll be even less than that. As far as how many of people are actually put to death per year, I'd bet a majority of those were from sentences 10 or more years ago. This stuff takes forever to get done.

I know but it's still a travesty. I've been in contact over the years with a death row inmate's wife and the things they are going through (if true) are ridiculous. They have proof that several witnesses including the main police witness lied but the judge in the case won't even look at the evidence. She says officers have said they have videotape of them beating the defendant. The defendant was suing the prison board that the eventually chosen judge was serving on (He was suing before the judge was picked). I'm sure there is more but I can't remember everything she said. |

Very happy the jury convicted her.
I think she should get the death penalty.
I heard that the average time a death row inmate is on death row before their execution is 10-12 years in the state of Arizona.
Btw the state already has I think 3 women on death row so imo she should be the 4th..

I'd like to think if he was abusive and she killed him in self-defense then she could have just said "He attacked me and I defended myself." But as I said she changed her story. Since I wasn't there nor knew anybody involved, I choose not to speculate when went on that led to this murder trial. I'll await and follow what the judge decides to sentence her with. |
