SAF confirmed it, greatest interview ever. Rumour is that Jones decked him in training too but I doubt that, Rooney would slaughter him, could probably take anyone at the club bar Vidic. If Rooney stays I'll support him, but it hasn't been the same with him since his first request. If he leaves and is replaced I'll be fine (and I expect him to leave), but I won't like him, especially if he goes to an English club (although I doubt he would). SAF summed it up (paraphrasing) - "He's asked for a transfer request. He was upset he got subbed off a few times. If he was playing well, he wouldn't have been subbed."
It was seriously an awesome interview, even Geoff said well done at the end :')

Wouldn't surprise me for him to swap the red half of Manchester to the blue side. He was threatening to do it after his last transfer request wasn't he?
Certainly can't see him moving abroad, just doesn't seem to be that kind of person.

Don't think he's that much of a c*nt. Chelsea maybe, even that would piss me off to no end.

Comes across as if he wouldn't give a crap. I know you can't really reject a move to Old Trafford but I don't think he cared much leaving Everton, and obviously he's still hated there to this day.

Can't blame him for wanting to leave, he's not the main man now RVP is there, but a player of his quality should be really. I'd take him at Spurs as our striker.

Rooney & £60m for Bale. Plus we get a sell-on clause.

No. Rooney Bale straight swap, then Ronaldo Bale straight swap. Rooney could work well behind an in form Defoe.
I dunno what he's complaining about tbh. SAF said he's not the main man because he wasn't playing like one, so he cries about it and asks for a transfer? Any player with a good attitude would try and improve their performances and work with RVP. He just asks to leave so he can be spoilt somewhere else.
I do wonder if its a contract tactic - after all, his last request was made so he'd get a better deal.
Also ironic how his request in 2010 was because of our "lack of ambition", whereas in 2013 his request is because he's not good enough to play every game.

To respond to the comment that he could come and play for City:
I'm not sure what sort of position he'd take other than third striker. He's not Sergio Aguero and Tevez has been in much better form than Rooney for a good while now. The only person he'd be consistently out-doing would be Dzeko, but that's like being the smartest kid in the down syndrome class.

Tevez would probably leave if Rooney went to City.

I reckon he'll stay. I reckon Moyes will give him the assurances that he wants, so that he will be in the team consistantly.

If Mourinho goes to Chelsea I see him going there. Mourinho seems to be a big fan.

I know I saw something the other day saying Chelsea were keen on trying to bring him in if they got the chance, PSG would splash the cash for him and he would get a good wage and CL football etc. Don't see him gong to Man city tbh.... don't see him going anywhere like Spain, Italy etc.
