THE DOCTOR GETS A NEW SCREWDRIVER BY THE END OF THE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL sorry for the yelling. Just...excited. Love a new sonic. Actually he apparently gets his new Sonic by the end of the finale. Bit late to share my thoughts here, BUT OH MY GOD!! The finale looks so amazing! Both the TV and 'Next Time' trailers are epic! As for 'Heaven Sent', 9/10. A great episode! Though I did think the montage dragged on for too long. The 'This Time There's Three Of Us' variation for the "Breaking The Wall" montage was amazing! I can't stop listening to it over and over again. The episode's score was pretty great. Murray Gold continues to be a genius, even after 10 years. A couple of really nice 'A Good Man?' variations. Can't wait for the Series 9 soundtrack, though if last year is anything to go by, it won't be released until May.

Really good episode, reminded me what they would do as a theater piece. Yeah the final montage was a bit long, but other than that it continues to show us Capaldi's strengths.
He's really got me back in to watching Dr. Who properly since Tennant, even though I didn't mind Amy & Rory, I just hated Smith. Sorry I just never liked him.

Deep breath before you go in chaps. I'd line up the Kleenex. Be brave, we'll chat in the morning

I haven't watched any of the Doctor Who episodes since Peter Capaldi became the Doctor so I thought I'd ask before I sit down for a 12th Doctor marathon, how good is the show since he became the new Doctor?

Capaldi may be the biggest "matter of opinion" of any Doctor. He is one hell of an actor, but a lot of people don't like the direction Moffat took him...and yet the episode that aired last week is being heralded by lovers/haters, Classic/NuWho alike as one of the best episodes in Who's 52 year history. If you're a fan of the show, just watch them. At the very least you'll find a couple of gem episodes with some solid plot twists.

It just takes me a few episodes before I can get used to the new Doctor when he regenerates. Eccleston's Doctor was OK and got me back into the show Tennants was awesome as the Doctor(my opinion only) I didn't much care for Smiths Doctor but he did grow on me and I thought he played it very well. Now I'm interested to see how the new Doc stacks up,so I guess I have 2 seasons to catch up on.

I fell off in season 8, something about the writing didn't catch me. But I kept seeing BBC post spoilers to episodes so I caught up a few weeks back and I have to say, but these are the types of stories that made me a Who fan. Deep, gut wrenching stories about this man who just travels. Not many shows can get me to shed some tears and laugh hysterically. Season 9 was pretty brilliant. Looking forward to the Christmas special.

I watched Season 8 before I caught up on 9. I liked parts of the season, it just overall wasn't a strong one for me. It had good episodes. I liked "Listen" quite a bit actually.

I really didn't enjoy Season 8 all that much. The first episode was good, and there were a couple here and there but I felt like it just lacked a wow factor.
Season 9, however, is fantastic. Capaldi has found his Doctor and the chemistry between him and Clara this season has been nothing but awesome. Heaven Sent and Hell Bent (Hell Bent, specifically) might very well be my favorite Doctor Who episode ever. The classic Tardis, Clara and Me/Ashildr flying the Tardis, the Impossible Astronaut Diner, freaking Gallifrey!! Not to mention the new Sonic is beautiful, even though I liked the Sonic Sunglasses. They were neat.
All in all, Season 9 has been a fantastic season and definitely a must-watch for any Who fan, whether you're New-Who or Classic-Who.

This episode Fukun ruined me. Galifrey. The barn. Be dropped the spoon. Rassilon. Race/gender regeneration. She's alive. No she's not. He forgot her. All of my emotions are spent

Bit late to share my thoughts, I do tend to forget WF. ![:P](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/tongue.gif) Seriously, what was that? That was just a jumbled mess of an episode. It wasn't bad, but definitely the most disappointing series finale ever. Clara's exit was great, why tamper with it? Why have The Doctor forget Clara? That was just an awful decision. Gallifrey was just discarded and forgotten about, so why bother returning to it at all? Overall, I'll give it 7/10, even though it should have been 10/10. I haven't watched any of the Doctor Who episodes since Peter Capaldi became the Doctor so I thought I'd ask before I sit down for a 12th Doctor marathon, how good is the show since he became the new Doctor? Well the writing was generally lower in quality for Series 8, I feel. The characterisation of The Doctor was just wrong for the first half of Series 8, with The Doctor being cruel and cowardly and fundamentally unlikeable. However they fixed their mistakes in the second half of Series 8, and The Twelfth Doctor has been great since the Series 8 finale. In my opinion, Series 9 has been one of the best. Production values raised even higher than they were before (not that there was anything lacking beforehand), an excellent Doctor/companion pairing, great stories. That's all I'll say without giving anything away. Personally, it's probably my 3rd favourite series (behind Series 2 & 1) Hell of a finale. Considering Moffat thought this was his final episode, he did a hell of a job. Sorry to nitpick, but when Moffat said that, he was talking about this year's upcoming Christmas Special, 'The Husbands of River Song'.

Well the Christmas episode would be his last episode ever but very, very rarely are they associated with the main story. So "Hell Bent" would have been his last IMPORTANT episode unless he's, like, killing off Capaldi on Christmas. Which...well it IS Moffat. Who knows.
