Thoughts?
Despite him playing for Man Utd always been a fan of his. One of the best players of our generation.
Seems like everyone is retiring at the end of this season. Owen, Carragher, Beckham, Scholes, Fergie, Possibly Phil Neville.

Definitely the end of an era in English football.

Gutted about this. One of my idols growing up.
Shame he left his career to stagnate by moving to the US and trying to do the unthinkable by making Football the biggest sport. Could easily have stayed in Madrid for many more years.

It's a bit of a strange one for me. I loved watching him play for United, but for the last 10 years or so he's been a bit off the radar, especially after his move to the US. If he'd been a mainstay in the BPL then it would be a bigger deal. But, it's still a shame that he's retiring, although I'm sure we'll see his sexy face strutting around.

Its a shame, wish he'd have come back for another spell in England.
