As said above, I'm interested to see how the main event scene continues to unfold the rest of the summer and fall, you've got a lot of things going on with many different routes to go. Dug Canadian Stampede, Ken Shamrock continuing to prove to be legit is good. I'm curious to the follow up of the Buried Alive Match as seeing Taker actually win one is different (granted, he did technically win one but with Mankind in the first ever one, but y'know what happened) and I'm wondering where Vader goes from here. And, of course, putting The Hart Foundation over in their homeland, wouldn't have gone over well otherwise. Wild ending to the show that capped off a good event, man.

WWF RAW IS WAR - July 7, 1997
Clips are shown of Last Night's PPV with Team Canada finally gaining a win over Team USA and also the Buried Alive Match between The Undertaker and Vader for the WWF Championship. The Commentators plug that Bret Hart will kick off the show and will address the World Wrestling Federation fans about his match with The Undertaker at Summerslam, and plus there will be a special interview with The Undertaker discussing of what Paul Bearer did last week, and also tonight Vader will go one on one with Stone Cold Steve Austin in a rematch from last week. Vince McMahon is in the ring as he introduces Bret Hart, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler alongside Vince are your color commentators for tonight. And there is a big Canadian Pop for The Hitman, and what a big pop he had last night when he and his team defeated Team USA. Vince kicks off the interview and says that at Summerslam, Bret will attempt to become the four-time WWF Champion, the second man to become the WWF Champion four times on August 3, 1997 against The Undertaker, but first of all, considering last night, congratulations are in order. Bret says hello to the fans and says that he just wants to say thank the fans for letting Bret be still their hero and thanks for believing in him, Last March. He was told, America, love it or leave it. Well he traveled around the world and he's been in the United States of America and the one thing he's looked forward to is leaving it. Bret says that he wants everyone to understand that no one's proud of being Canadian than he is, and he's not really sure how things that have escalated, but the one thing is he's not Anti-American, he's Pro Canadian. Bret says that the Americans think they are always better, they think they're better than the Canadians, but look at Donovan Bailey, that they're not as great as they think they are. America, for Bret. Canada is where they take care of the sick and the old where they still have health care, they got gun control and they don't kill everyone around the street corner like all the inbred Americans do in Texas, California, New York City, Washington D.C. and the rest of the United States. Bret says that Canada isn't real with racial prejudice or hatred, they care for each other, Black or White, and he's proud to be Canadian and proud to be his hero. And he promises that at Summerslam, he will continue to live up to do his best and to keep his word and there's one promise that he wants to make, at Summerslam, in American Soil, when he fights The Undertaker that he will not let the Canadian Fans down and he will be the World Wrestling Federation Champion for the fourth time. He's done so much in his career, he's beaten all of the greats ever since being in a tag team, he beat them all, Mr. Perfect, Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, That pipsqueak Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, His own brother Owen, Lex Luger, Sycho Sid, Vader and even that foulmouth American Redneck Piece of Trash, Stone Cold Steve Austin. But there's one thing he hasn't done, and that is defeat The Undertaker and he wants to let it sink in, if he does not come to Canada with the World Wrestling Federation Title, then by hook or by crook The Undertaker defeats him, he will not wrestle in American Soil again and that is a promise, and also, not wrestle for the WWF ever again. Bret says that he wants to bring out the man who beat the American Scum in that very ring, and will be proud to do it again at Summerslam. The WWF Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart. So it looks like 2 big matchups have been signed for Summerslam, it will not only be Bret vs The Undertaker for the WWF Title, but it will be Owen vs Stone Cold for the Intercontinental Title. Owen enters the ring to a big ovation and hugs his brother, what a strong performance Owen had when he defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin in that tag team match last night. Bret says that he knows Owen will destroy Stone Cold Steve Austin at Summerslam, but he wants to invite the most powerful man in the WWF today, the man who took the Intercontinental Title from him at Summerslam 1992 like a man at Wembley Stadium, and that is The WWF European Champion, His Brother-in-law, The British Bulldog. Bulldog also gets a big reception even though he's from the UK. Ross announces that tonight there will be a fatal-four way match to determine who will face The British Bulldog for the European Title. Bret says that they all saw the strong performance of the British Bulldog and that whoever decides to face The British Bulldog at Summerslam for the European Title, then The Bulldog will anhilate that winner because he's more powerful and stronger. Bret says that in the past couple months, he's lived up with the fact that he sees everything true with American Television, the fans, commentators, wrestlers and the WWF is all American, so on behalf of all of them, he would like for them to look at the screen and listen to this, The screen shows a Canadian Flag, as it is the Canadian National Anthem. The fans pop big for it, And what a moment for the Hart Foundation who came off one hell of a victory against Team USA. But wait a minute here comes Stone Cold Steve Austin with steel chair in hand. Austin gets in the ring and attacks The Hart Foundation with chair shots and then exits the ring without a scratch as soon as Brian Pillman and Jim Neidhart enter the ring. (break) Match 1: Fatal-Four Way Match to determine who will face The British Bulldog for the European Championship at Summerslam. Goldust vs Mankind vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs Sycho Sid What a surprise we have as we not have seen Sycho Sid since King of The Ring, and this Fatal-Four Way Match is underway, all four men go at it with one another as this seems to be a paced match with Sid being the dominator of the match. Mankind is able to slow the big guy down by hitting a Double Arm DDT. The match goes on for a good portion of 7 to 8 minutes then as Mankind seems to have the upper hand, Vader comes to the ring and pulls Mankind outside and look at Mankind and Vader, they are pummeling each other. Vader and Mankind have no love lost for each other. Goldust almost gets the win by hitting Helmsley with the Curtain Call but Sid surprises Goldust and hits him with the jackknife powerbomb and covers him to get the three count, so at Summerslam, it will be Sycho Sid vs The British Bulldog for the WWF European Title. Winner: Sycho Sid (break) Backstage, Vader is upset as he tosses things around, he's scheduled to have a match later tonight against Stone Cold Steve Austin. Kevin Kelly interviews him and says that these issues between him and Mankind are only going to get worse, Vader says that Mankind has gotten in his business so many times and tonight, Vader had to repay him the favor. Vader says that he wants a match with Mankind at Summerslam, but not any kind of match. A Steel Cage Match, so that Vader can beat Mankind's ass. Match 2: Kurrgan w/Don Callis vs Bart Gunn Kurrgan has been dominant since coming to the WWF and he has been undefeated, but he takes on the south paw from Texas, Bart Gunn. Gunn hammers away at Kurrgan with right hands and none of them even the faze man and also hits a dropkick on Kurrgan but Kurrgan still won't go down. Gunn tries another charge but Kurrgan nails him with a clothesline and just pummels Gunn. Kurrgan gets the win by hitting an Iron-Claw Chokeslam to get the win, and that's the fourth win for Kurrgan since coming to the WWF. Kurrgan is now 4-0 in the World Wrestling Federation. Winner: Kurrgan Backstage, Stone Cold Steve Austin is in his locker room talking about his match with Vader. Austin says that last night he didn't care if the fans cheered or booed him, all he cared about is that he had all four of his partners whooping the hell out of Team Canada. Austin tells Bret that he whipped Bret's ass last night and even in Bret's sorry ass's head of his. He knows it. But now next week, before he heads to Summerslam. He wants to challenge Owen and The Bulldog for the Tag Team Titles, and he doesn't even want a partner. He can win the titles all by himself and as far as Owen Hart goes, he wants to add a stipulation just like Bret did earlier tonight, if Austin does not win the Intercontinental Title, then he will kiss Owen's ass right in the middle of the ring. Austin says that he doubts Owen will beat him because Austin as always is going to stomp a mudhole in his ass and walk it dry and moving on to Vader. Austin says that last night Vader got buried alive by The Undertaker, well that's all fine and good because Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the worms and the maggots to kick Vader's ass. And that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so.
(break)
Kevin Kelly interviews Ken Shamrock about his match with Hunter Hearst Helmsley last night. Shamrock says that he proved last night that he was the World's Most Dangerous Man over Hunter Hearst Helmsley, but tonight. He wants a match with Bret Hart, he asked Jesse Ventura to book a match between him and Bret Hart and that's what he wants to do. Shamrock says that the last time he and Bret fought, he beat him in the quarterfinals in the 1997 King of The Ring, now he knows he is stepping on Canadian Territory, but he doesn't give a damn. He thinks lightning is going to strike twice because he is going to beat Bret and make him tap out.
Match 3: 8-Ball and Skull w/Chainz and Crush vs Ahmed Johnson and Kama w/Faarooq and D' Lo Brown Last Night, Faarooq beat Crush and Ahmed and Kama look to continue the same dominance against the DOA as they take on 8-Ball and Skull in a Tag Team Match. Skull and 8-Ball get some offense in against Ahmed and Kama, but Ahmed and Kama are able to fight back against Skull by wearing him down until he makes the hot tag to 8-Ball. 8-Ball hits a double clothesline on both Ahmed and Kama. Ahmed and Kama are set to get the win with Ahmed attempting a pearl-river plunge on 8-Ball but 8-Ball ducks and shoves Ahmed into the ropes in where he hits a powerslam to get the victory and what a victory for the DOA. And they don't stick around for the Nation of Domination to beat them down. Winners: 8-Ball and Skull
Backstage, Vince McMahon takes us to the WWF Champion, The Undertaker who is ready for this special interview. McMahon asks about the secret that Paul Bearer revealed that The Undertaker killed his mother and father and learned that his little brother Kane was alive. Undertaker says that everything Paul Bearer said last week was true, he set that fire, but it wasn't on purpose. It's not that he wasn't a murderer. And it's not that he's standing in the cold dark walls of a chamber. It was just an accident, an accident that changed him forever. Taker says that he has it on good authority that Paul Bearer will reveal evidence next week to prove that Kane is alive. And if it is, well that's fine by him. But he wants to address Bret Hart, Taker says that what Bret said is the truth. Bret's never beaten him, he wanted Bret to remember four years ago at WrestleMania 9. He took the WWF Title from him. He had a lot of respect for Bret that night. But he does not have a lot of respect for him now of his constant attitude and how he's threatened to walk out of the World Wrestling Federation if he doesn't win the WWF Championship, well step in The Undertaker's shoes. Bret wouldn't be the one to set Stu, Helen or his little brothers and sisters on fire. Bret wouldn't have that dark cloud hanging over his head if he had done that. It just shows that Bret Hart is an American Traitor, and The Undertaker's not one to talk about his beliefs in America, but he will admit that he's damn proud to be an American. Even though he's from the Darkside, America is a place, so like they say, Bret. Love it or leave it, well at Summerslam. Undertaker will make sure Bret leaves it for good.
(break)
Match 4: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Vader There is no Paul Bearer with Vader at ringside tonight because Jesse Ventura has presumably banned Paul Bearer from the building knowing what Undertaker might do to Paul Bearer tonight, but this is a hard hitting match between these two and Vader although still covered in dirt still continues the fight against the Texas Rattlesnake. Vader and Austin have a back and forth exchange with both of them exchanging blows but Vader takes the momentum back in his favor by hitting Austin with a clothesline and a headbutt. Vader continues to wear down Austin and look at the intensity of Vader just pummeling the Rattlesnake, he is frustrated about what happened last night, he did not win the WWF Title for a third time, he's already cost Mankind the chance to become #1 Contender and now he's taking it to Stone Cold. Austin fights back and knocks the big man down with a flying clothesline. Austin waits for Vader to get up and hits him with a bodyslam. Austin runs off the ropes and takes the former WWF Champion down with a Lou Thesz Press and hits the diving elbow on Vader. Austin goes for the cover but Vader kicks out at 2. Vader fights back and almost looks to put Stone Cold away as he has a steel chair in hand but just as he sets up to hit Austin with the chair. Mankind shows up and Vader attempts to hit Austin with a steel chair but Austin ducks and hits Mankind with a steel chair and look what Mankind's wearing. He's wearing an Austin 3:16 Shirt. Vader sees Mankind down and laughs at him but there's Austin. Austin kicks Vader in the gut and nails him with the stunner. Austin has the cover and pins Vader to get the three count, and what a win for the Texas Rattlesnake with help from Mankind. Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin
Just as Austin is through winning the match. Austin grabs a microphone and stares down Mankind telling Mankind to get his ass in the ring, Austin says that he appreciates the help, but he doesn't like Mankind, but he'll damn sure be Mankind's partner if he wants to win the Tag Team Titles with Owen Hart and British Bulldog next week and he'll shake his hand. Austin asks for a handshake and Mankind wants a hug and there it is. Austin and Mankind have hugged it out but wait a minute, Austin grabs Mankind and hits him with the Stunner and tells Mankind DTA, he'll never be his partner cause he's a long haired freak and he sucks. Stone Cold can do whatever the hell he wants and wait a minute Mankind just got back up from the stunner. Mankind says that he was looking for a bit of respect, he was looking for a friend and Stone Cold ruined it all, so it's very apparent that drastic measures will be taken, because next week. He will do something he'd never thought he did again and that the WWF and Stone Cold will never be the same, and without a doubt. Mankind will never be the same, Mankind warns everyone to wait til next week. Because Stone Cold will respect him one way or the other.
(break)
Match 5: The Blackjacks vs The Public Enemy What a tag team matchup this is as The Blackjacks and The Public Enemy put on a good tag team match, The Public Enemy hammer away at the Blackjacks, but the Blackjacks fight back and win the match early with Bradshaw hitting Rocco with the clothesline from hell to get the victory. Winners: The Blackjacks
(break)
Back from Break and a Camera cuts backstage with the New Age Outlaws attacking the Blackjacks with trashcans, chair shots and Singapore canes. Apparently the war between these four has not been over yet. The Blackjacks begin to fight back against The Outlaws and referees and officials have to separate them. These four can't stand each other.
Match 6: Jim Neidhart vs Goldust w/Marlena Last night, these two were in the main event. But it should be a good match between these two. Neidhart gets the upper hand on Goldust to start the match but Goldust fights back in this contest and hammers away at him, Goldust almost gets the win by hitting the Curtain Call on Neidhart but Neidhart reverses it and hits a powerslam on Goldust to get the victory and what a win for The Anvil and the Canadian Fans love it. Winner: Jim Neidhart
Backstage, Bret Hart is warming up for his match against Ken Shamrock in what should be a good match between these two. And that's still to come later tonight.
Match 7: Taka Michinoku vs Brian Christopher This is a rematch from Canadian Stampede last night as Taka Michinoku takes on Brian Christopher again. Christopher and Michinoku once again put on a good contest. Christopher almost gets the win by hitting the Tennessee Jam on Michinoku but Michinoku fights back and hits the Michinoku Driver on Christopher to get the victory and Lawler is infuriated. Winner: Taka Michinoku
(break)
Before the Main Event begins, Sable comes to the ring as she is seen promoting the Austin 3:16 and Undertaker T-Shirts.
Match 8: Bret Hart vs Ken Shamrock And this should be a good match to end RAW is WAR here tonight as it's the World's Most Dangerous Man taking on The Hitman in a one on one match. Bret and Shamrock start the match off by locking up with Shamrock hitting a shoulder block on The Hitman. Bret battles back and the crowd cheer on Bret for the majority of the match, every move that Bret does, the fans go nuts for it. Shamrock fights back and hits a spinning heel kick on Bret and goes for the cover but Bret kicks out at 2. Bret battles back and hits Shamrock with a Russian leg sweep and also a backbreaker. Bret hammers away at Shamrock but Shamrock battles back and this match has been a back and forth contest between the two. Shamrock and Bret physically exchange blows with one another and try to exchange submission holds but Bret fights back and hits a piledriver on Shamrock and goes for the cover but Shamrock easily kicks out at 2. McMahon announces that next week Shawn Michaels will make his return and also has a huge announcement to make as well. Shamrock battles back and hits a German on Bret but Bret is able to kick out again at 2. Bret and Shamrock have been going hard at it. Bret fights back and hits a superplex on Shamrock. Bret attempts to use the Sharpshooter on Shamrock but Shamrock fights through and hits him with the Belly to Belly and it could be anklelock time. Shamrock goes for the anklelock and he connects with it but Bret fights through and makes it to the ropes. Bret gets to his feet and fights back against Shamrock but Shamrock tries to go for another Belly to Belly but Bret rakes the eyes and hits him with a DDT and now Bret locks in the Sharpshooter. Shamrock's got nowhere to go and Shamrock tries fighting out of it but there's no escape as he taps out. Bret has made Ken Shamrock tap out and is now looking to build momentum for Summerslam. Winner: Bret Hart
After the Match, the rest of the Hart Foundation come out to celebrate with Bret and just like Canadian Stampede, the entire Hart Family come out and congratulate Bret on his win. And then suddenly The Undertaker appears on the entryway staring down Bret Hart. Undertaker has the WWF Title with him too and raises it up staring The Hart Foundation down as RAW goes off the air.

WWF RAW IS WAR - July 14. 1997
Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your guest hosts for RAW IS WAR tonight, The commentators announce the show with Stone Cold Steve Austin assumingly going to take on Owen Hart and British Bulldog for the Tag Team Championships all by himself, and also The Brother Love Show will make it's first ever appearance on RAW is WAR with Paul Bearer being the first guest, and plus Shawn Michaels will be here tonight as well to make a huge announcement.
RAW kicks off with The Hart Foundation coming out to a chorus of boos, similar to the cheers they received in Canada, but here in San Antonio, it's a bit different. Bret says that in Alberta where he comes from is rat-free, but can't say the same thing about San Antonio, and that it's filled with rats. And most of the rats are back there in hiding because the Hart Foundation is a force that will be reckoned with, it's in his contract, written nice and pretty. Jesse Ventura has taken him at his word which is ine, that if he loses the WWF Title Match at Summerslam. He will never wrestle in American Soil. Bret says that it's fine with him cause there's one thing that the Canadians will always do their best and always keep their promises and after Summerslam ends. Bret will make The Undertaker fall just like he's already fallen because of Paul Bearer, Undertaker shouldn't be crying about the house he set on fire, he should be crying about losing the title. Owen takes the microphone next and says that he could really give a damn if it's Stone Cold Steve Austin or anybody else, but tonight, it will be him and Bulldog retaining the titles and he tells Austin to pucker up and get the blistex ready because Austin will kiss Owen's ass. Bulldog says that Sid claims to be the master and ruler of the world in the WWF but he is the strongest man in the WWF. So if Bulldog claims to lose the European Championship at Summerslam, he will eat a can of dog food if he loses. Pillman is the next to speak and says that he's issuing a challenge to Dusty's Boytoy Goldust at Summerslam. Pillman then talks about how of Goldust wearing a dress, but at Summerslam, he will rip Goldust's heart out and if he doesn't. He will wear a dress, but if he does win, he wants Marlena. Neidhart also speaks and says that if any of the Harts lose at Summerslam, He is going to shave his goatee the next night on RAW. The Hart Foundation seem confident, Bret says that what right there shows is commitment, the Canadian Women are prettier, money's tight and the sports and the men are tougher, their beer taste better and whether the americans like it or not, it will be a Canadian Summer. Stone Cold's music plays as he comes out. Austin looks at all the members of the Hart Foundation and we could be looking at the next Intercontinental Champion. Austin begins to take off his vest and suddenly Ken Shamrock walks by with Stone Cold, and then Goldust comes out too followed by Sycho Sid. are one of these three teaming up with Stone Cold tonight, then suddenly The Undertaker's music plays in the arena as he comes out to a big ovation. And look at all these Five Americans staring down the rest of the Hart Foundation as RAW takes a commercial break. (break) Match 1: Tag Team Match The Legion of Doom vs Ahmed Johnson & Faarooq What a way to kick off the first match of RAW with a Tag Team Match between The Legion of Doom against NOD's own Ahmed Johnson & Faarooq. Faarooq and Johnson start the match off with their powerhouse against The LOD. But The LOD are able to fight back against Faarooq and Johnson. And this is a catch as catch can tag team match here, Faarooq and Ahmed fight back by wearing down Animal, but Hawk makes the hot tag and comes in a house of fire against Ahmed and Faarooq, but Faarooq and Ahmed send Hawk to the outside and have Kama and D' Lo attack Hawk. Then suddenly the DOA's motorcycles are heard as they come out and a fight breaks out between The Nation and the DOA sensing a DQ win for The Nation. Winners by DQ: The Nation of Domination
After the match, The Nation and the DOA begin to brawl with The Legion of Doom aiding DOA in their fight against The Nation sending them in a retreat mode. Faarooq grabs a microphone and speaks saying that the DOA can't hide forever and that they need a match to settle the score, at Summerslam. Their 8-Man Tag Team Match will be a New Jersey Street Fight Match, No Disqualifactions, No Countouts and Falls Count Anywhere if the DOA have the guts. Crush picks up the microphone and says that they accept and that they will whip Faarooq's ass and send them back into Africa where they belong. The commentators say that coming up next, Shawn Michaels will be here for a special announcement. Shawn Michaels's music hits as he comes out to a loud ovation, we have not seen Shawn Michaels since the night after The King of The Ring when he was brutally mugged by The Hart Foundation. Vince McMahon is in the ring set to interview him. McMahon asks if Shawn is going to be Stone Cold's Tag Team Partner tonight, Michaels says will he be the partner of Stone Cold again and become WWF Tag Team Champions again in his hometown of San Antonio. It's no secret that he is not 100%, but the last time he and Steve Austin tagged up and became the WWF Tag Team Champions, they weren't 100%. But he's good enough to go right now, however, it's up for Steve to decide. Now, he has sat at home for the last few weeks up in the hills. He couldn't help but to notice his buddy Bret Hart tell everyone that if he did not win the WWF Championship at Summerslam. He would never wrestle again in the United States, he doesn't know about everyone else, but he's waited a long time for Bret to finally leave the United States of America. So with that said, he currently is not scheduled to wrestle at Summerslam, that's not his decision. So if he could appeal to the boss Vince McMahon if he gets down on his knees infront of his hometown and beg Vince to allow him to be a part of Summerslam, he'll set up the ring. The Souvenir Stand, he'll sell tickets at the front door or shine Vince's shoes if he lends him one ticket to Summerslam, because it's his guess that The Undertaker is going to bury Bret Hart and ship him in a bodybag from America to Canada, and alongside every single person in San Antonio, Michaels wants a first class ticket to see Bret get the hell out of here. Michaels begins to do a striptease for the fans but McMahon refuses to let him do it, Michaels is defying but McMahon won't let him do it as RAW takes a commercial break.
(break)
Match 2: Vader vs Flash Funk In 20 days time, Vader will meet Mankind in a Steel Cage Match at Summerslam, but tonight he goes head to head with Flash Funk in what should be a unique matchup because Flash has given up size to the former WWF Champion. Vader squashes Funk with Flash trying to get in some offenses in and putting Vader down with a missile dropkick and following it up with a Tornado DDT. But Vader fights back and hits a powerbomb on Flash and follows it up with the Vaderbomb to get the victory. The commentators begin to ask where Mankind has been recently. Ross says that he has seen Mankind earlier tonight, but Mankind said that last week was going to be a change for him and that the WWF would never be the same again, the words he told Stone Cold last week. Winner: Vader
Clips are shown of the Brother Love Show from 1988 and 1996 in Brother Love interviewing the greats like Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Mr. Perfect and the rest of the others, but tonight. He's going to interview the man who was brought to the WWF by him in 1991, Paul Bearer. And Paul Bearer will explain more of the story with The Undertaker and Kane.
(break)
The Brother Love Show is set up in the ring with Brother Love in all of his suit and tie. Love says that on a cold, crisp November night in 1990, he was told to do a job by Paul Bearer to manage The Undertaker while Bearer was trying to nurse The Undertaker's brother Kane into an insane asylum cause of what happened in the fire. Now Brother Love must admit, he watched The Undertaker all these years, but even he could not believe the words that came out of Paul Bearer's mouth when he called The Undertaker a murderer. Paul Bearer is right, The Undertaker is a murderer and a sinner. And he's so ashamed to manage The Undertaker in his early career like Undertaker shouldn't have been in the WWF at all. But right now, he would like to introduce The Undertaker's ex manager and now his worst nightmare of all time, Brother Paul Bearer. Bearer comes out to The Undertaker's old theme music as he gets in the ring as he and Brother share a hug together with the fans booing for them. Brother says that it's been a long time since he saw Paul Bearer years ago standing side by side with The Undertaker and he thought The Undertaker did an amazing job with Paul Bearer, but The Undertaker used him and played him like a fiddle. Bearer agrees with Love and says that he certainly did. The Undertaker whined and complained about winning the World Wrestling Federation Championship and that he used him like Paul was The Undertaker's slave. But we all know what happened, last year. He turned his back on The Undertaker, but what does The Undertaker do without him this year?. Win the World Wrestling Federation Championship at WrestleMania 13. And that made Paul Bearer think of a lot of few things, first. Try to reconcile with The Undertaker or destroy The Undertaker right before his own eyes. But he was smart to get back with The Undertaker and he did but The Undertaker betrayed him again and that's why he did what he had to do. Brother asks the status of The Undertaker's brother Kane. Bearer says that Kane has not been the same for all those 20 years, but he's ready to come to the WWF to fight his brother and look him square in the eye for what he did to their mother and father. Bearer then says that although he's an American, he is rooting for Bret Hart to beat The Undertaker at Summerslam. He wants Bret Hart to destroy The Undertaker and he wants Bret to crush the Creatures of The Night and The Undertaker's dreams forever, and then Deadman. There will be no one to blame but himself. Brother then says that if The Undertaker came out here to confront them face to face then he's such a coward to lay his hands on the both of them, then the lights go out in the arena as The Undertaker's gong sounds, then the lights come back on to reveal The Undertaker in the middle of the ring and look at this, Paul Bearer is in fear of his life. Bearer cowers out of the ring, but Brother Love is not lucky, Love picks up the microphone again shouting at the Undertaker saying that Undertaker's a coward for what he did to his mother, father and brother. He's ashamed to have managed The Undertaker for so long and he's ashamed to have let Paul Bearer manage him cause of all the times that The Undertaker was mistreating him. Love says that one day The Undertaker will hopefully find it in his heart to have forgiveness, but right now Brother Love doesn't see forgiveness in him, Love then slaps The Undertaker in the face. Big Mistake, Brother Love!. Big Mistake, Taker then grabs Love by the throat and chokeslams him to the mat. What a chokeslam by the WWF Champion. Undertaker then leaves the ring as he is furious with the words that were made by Paul Bearer and Brother Love, and Bret Hart may be watching this at all. But wait a minute, speaking of Bret. Bret comes from behind The Undertaker and hits him with a clubbing blow to the back and look at Bret hammering away at The Undertaker. Bret is just beating down The Undertaker here. Bret grabs a steel chair and hits The Undertaker in the face with it. And Undertaker goes down on the entryway. Bret put a huge dent on the WWF Champion and Bret grabs Undertaker's WWF Title Belt he had around his waist and raises it up and says something off-mic saying "He's the real Champion you can be proud of". Bret throws it on The Undertaker's chest and goes to leave but The Undertaker sits up and scares Bret as RAW takes another commercial break.
(break)
Match 3: Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/Chyna vs Goldust w/Marlena The two have battled this past 1997, but the two will go at it again here tonight as they square off one on one. Goldust and Helmsley have a slugfest to kick the match off with Goldust gaining the advantage and sending Helmsley out of the ring with a clothesline. Helmsley is able to fight back by hitting a high knee on Goldust. Helmsley is able to get the momentum back in his favor but Goldust is able to fight back and almost put down Helmsley with a DDT but Helmsley fights back and hits a spinebuster on Goldust and goes for the cover but Goldust kicks out at two. Goldust battles back and gets the win by hitting Helmsley with a powerslam to get the victory. Winner: Goldust
After the Match. Goldust picks up a microphone and says that he accepts Brian Pillman's challenge for Summerslam. Goldust says that when he wins, he will be used to seeing Brian Pillman wear that dress, but Pillman won't be wearing Marlena's dress either.
Backstage, Kevin Kelly interviews Ken Shamrock about his success in the WWF. Shamrock says that he's had a lot of fun in the World Wrestling Federation, plus winning the 1997 King of The Ring and then getting a title match with The Undertaker, but he does not have a match at Summerslam at all. Then suddenly someone from out of nowhere attacks Shamrock, it looks like Dan Severn. A man who's Shamrock had problems with in the UFC and look who is with Dan Severn, Jim Cornette. We haven't seen Cornette since the 1997 Royal Rumble. Cornette is instructing Severn to beat Shamrock up more. The beating stops and Cornette tells Shamrock that if he remembers Severn, well Severn remembers him well and this is the man that will face him one on one at Summerslam so that Severn can further embarrass him and humiliate him more.
(break)
Match 4: Tag Team Match The Blackjacks vs The Headbangers Again another Tag Team Match as the Blackjacks take on The Headbangers, the crowd is not into this match at all, the match goes quick for three minutes and why?. Is because The New Age Outlaws show up to attack The Blackjacks and The Headbangers. Winner: Draw
The Outlaws's focus is not on the Headbangers, but the Blackjacks. The Outlaws grab chairs and tables and they beat The Blackjacks with it. Billy and Road Dogg grab Windham and double powerbomb him through a table and do the same thing to Bradshaw as well. The Outlaws stand tall over the Blackjacks and this war is not yet being far from over.
Backstage, The commentators catch up with Mankind with Mankind saying that he promised the world that the WWF would never be the same, well it's about to never be the same later tonight. Because he's got a surprise for Stone Cold Steve Austin and the entire fans later tonight.
(break)
Match 5: Handicap Match Kurrgan w/The Jackal vs Jeff and Matt Hardy Kurrgan has dominated the WWF since debuting and he's had Jackal in his corner, but tonight he takes on The Hardy Boys in a Handicap Match in where he squashes both of them. Kurrgan gets the win by hitting a double chokeslam on The Hardys to get the victory. Winner: Kurrgan
(break)
Owen Hart and British Bulldog both make their way to the ring as they are set to defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against Stone Cold Steve Austin and a mystery partner, or Stone Cold himself. The commentators speculate that it may be Terry Funk, Shawn Michaels or somebody else. Stone Cold makes his way to the ring and could it be Stone Cold's night to win the Tag Team Titles on his own or will he have a partner?.
Match 6: WWF Tag Team Championship Match Stone Cold and ? vs Owen Hart and British Bulldog Austin wastes no time without his partner going right for Owen and Bulldog but Owen and Bulldog are too smart to overpower him and they wear Austin down until we see someone's shoes backstage as they make their way assumingly to the ring. Meanwhile, Austin tries to fight back against Owen and Bulldog but Owen and Bulldog are overpowering him. Austin eventually is able to fight back by sending Owen and Bulldog out of the ring with clotheslines, then suddenly the same music is heard and it's Mankind, but it's not the Mankind we're not used to seeing, he's wearing a hippie tie dye shirt with a bandana and sunglasses, Mankind says that Austin needs a little help, like a tag team partner. He doesn't blame Austin for teaming up with that multitated freak Mankind, but he never said nothing about the hippest cat in the land, Dude Love and he is coming to save the day, Owww, have mercy. What has gotten into Mick Foley or Mankind?. Dude enters the ring, it's Foley's alter ego and enters the ring with Austin, it seems like Dude is Austin's partner. Dude Love lives!. Dude then plays around to the fans and Owen and Bulldog go after Austin but Austin makes the tag to Dude. Dude gets a loud cheer and he hammers away at Owen but Dude still has his sunglasses on. Dude kicks Owen in the gut and hits a headbutt and nails him with a running knee in the corner. Dude grabs Owen but Owen rakes the eyes and tags in Bulldog and Bulldog hammers away at Dude knocking his sunglasses and bandana down and Bulldog sets up Dude for the Running Powerslam, But Dude's got the mandible claw and Owen hits Dude with a missile dropkick but here comes Austin. Austin clotheslines Owen over the top rope to the floor and hits Bulldog with a Stone Cold Stunner and that allows Dude to cover The Bulldog and we have new WWF Tag Team Champions. Dude Love and Stone Cold have captured the Tag Team Titles, but Ms. Foley's Baby Boy is a champion in the World Wrestling Federation. Winners and New WWF Tag Team Champions: Dude Love and Stone Cold Steve Austin
Dude and Austin celebrate their victory with Dude handing Austin the other Championship Belt and there are some Dude Love groupies, the two women come to the ring and hug Dude and Austin hands Dude the Tag Team Title Belt and they shake hands. Austin may not like it, but it seems like he will be used to teaming up with Mick Foley, RAW goes off the air with Dude Love doing a strut, Dude Love lives.

WWF SUMMERSLAM - August 3. 1997 2 Preshow Matches: Kurrgan D. Public Enemy in a Handicap Match The Legion of Doom D. Doug Furnas and Phillip Lafon in a Tag Team Match
Vince McMahon, Dok Hendrix and Jim Ross are your hosts for Summerslam. They talk about how wild it's going to be and the fact that it could be Bret Hart's last time wrestling in America.
Match 1: Goldust w/Marlena vs Brian Pillman And an interesting way to kick off Summerslam with this match, remember the stipulations are that if Pillman wins, Pillman gets Marlena for 30 days, however if Goldust wins, Pillman must be forced to wear a dress. And Pillman wastes no time going right for Goldust as Goldust helped Marlena out of the ring and gets the advantage in this match to kick off Summerslam. Pillman whips Goldust into the buckle but Goldust reverses into a handspring elbow and Goldust regains the advantage by punching away at Pillman 10 times but Pillman hits an atomic drop only for Goldust to give him a surprise liplock and Pillman rolls straight out of the ring to regroup. Pillman returns to the ring and goes for a test of strength but fools him with a kick and a chop. Pillman whips Goldust into the ropes and hits a back elbow. Pillman then begins to get out of the ring and starts to chase Marlena only for Goldust to behead him with a clothesline. Goldust is on fire here, Goldust has had a tremendous eventful Summerslam, He had his first PPV Match at Summerslam in 1995. Pillman fights back and hammers away at Goldust and nails a big-time snap suplex on Goldust. Goldust gets up and hits a uppercut and press tosses Pillman over the top rope. Marlena then smokes her cigar infront of Pillman and smokes it in Pillman's face but Pillman retaliates by using Marlena as a shield and hits Goldust with a DDT. Pillman heads to the top rope and hits a flying clothesline on Goldust as they return to the ring. Pillman goes for the cover again but Goldust kicks out at 2. Pillman grabs Goldust and hits a sleeper applied. Pillman continues to lock in that hold on Goldust but Goldust fights back and goes for a backslide and here we go, but Pillman kicks out at 2. Pillman then fights back and hits a clothesline and continues the momentum in this matchup. Pillman whips Goldust into the ropes but Goldust hits a diving clothesline knocking Pillman down and slaps him in the face but Pillman throws haymakers at Goldust and the two are going right at it with Goldust getting the upper hand. Goldust runs off the ropes and goes for the bulldog but Pillman throws him over the top rope. Marlena begins to check on Goldust and Goldust gets back on the apron and goes for the sunset flip but fails. Pillman tries reaching for the ropes but Marlena hits him with a loaded purse and that allows Goldust to use the sunset flip to get the victory and now Pillman must have to wear a dress. After, Marlena throws the mannequin shirt at him and Pillman is beside himself and he is destroying it. Pillman looks like he's rightfully angry. Winner: Goldust Todd Pettengill is on the interview platform outside the ring and introduces Mayor Whitman accompanied by The Headbangers and WWF President Jesse Ventura, Pettengill thinks Whitman for bringing the WWF back to New Jersey after eight years because the last time WWF held New Jersey at Summerslam was in 1989, Pettengill also thanks her for getting rid of the taxes. Whitman says that's what it's all about, they are ready to have fun. Pettengill mentions that it was eight years that the WWF had a PPV in this state and they want to thank, Whitman says that it's great to have everybody here in New Jersey, And Jersey's best are the Headbangers. Pettengill announces a special presentation and with that we have WWF owner Jesse Ventura, Ventura says that in honor of bringing New Jersey Back, She is now the honorary World Wrestling Federation Champion. Ventura gives her the belt and congratulates her. Whitman says that she will defend the title every day if she steps down as Mayor. Match 2: 6-Man Tag Team Match Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Jerry Lawler and Brian Christopher w/Chyna vs Tajiri, Jushin Thunder Liger and Taka Michinoku Should be an interesting 6-Man Tag between these 6 competitors, it's not much of a good match although the crowd are not unbyest in this match and even at one point, a fan enters the ring and picks up a microphone saying "Why bother seeing this crap when you can see the NwO on Monday Nitro?". The commentators are not happy at that and even Helmsley breaks kayfabe to try to take a swing at him until security run in to grab the guy while he escapes. But the match ends with Liger, Michinoku and Tajiri getting the win with Liger hitting an Asia Moonsault on Lawler to get the victory. Winners: Tajiri, Jushin Thunder Liger and Taka Michinoku
New WWF Backstage Interviewer Michael Cole is standing by with Dan Severn and Jim Cornette about Severn's first WWF PPV Match against Ken Shamrock. Cornette says that Shamrock's the only man Dan Severn has ever faced in the UFC, But Shamrock first had to beat out Severn to get to the World Wrestling Federation, that should've been Severn's spot first, not Shamrock. But now Shamrock is so popular that he earned himself the 1997 King of The Ring and earned a title match, but tonight all of his dreams and hopes are going to end because Severn is going to put Shamrock down to sleep and that Severn will be the real World's Most Dangerous Man. Match 3: Dan Severn w/Jim Cornette vs Ken Shamrock This should be an interesting contest as it's Shamrock and Severn reliving their UFC days and here we go. Shamrock wastes no time taking down Severn and throws punches at him but Severn reverses and throws punches back and this is a slugfest here. Severn throws Shamrock into the buckle and hits hard right hands on Shamrock. Severn takes the advantage in the match trying to wear down Shamrock with submission holds but Shamrock fights back and does the same thing to Severn trying to wear him down with submission holds as well. Severn fights back though and hits a powerslam on Shamrock. Severn goes for the cover but Shamrock kicks out again at 2. Severn continues to beat Shamrock down but Shamrock battles back and hits a belly to belly suplex on Severn and tries to go for the anklelock but Severn rolls through and surprises Shamrock with the dragon sleeper but Shamrock fights through of it and uses the turnbuckle to use his leverage putting Severn's shoulders to the mat and gets the victory over him, similar to what Bret did to Steve at the 1996 Survivor Series. What a surprising victory for the World's Most Dangerous Man. The man who has handed Severn his first ever WWF loss. Winner: Ken Shamrock
A clip is set to Mankind vs Vader and the history between the two starting at the start of 1997 with the two forming an alliance to try to get rid of The Undertaker, but it failed and in April, Vader returned and turned his back on Mankind with Mankind gaining the respect of the fans, Vader has scored two wins over Mankind, but tonight will he make it a third in the sadistic Steel Cage Match?. Michael Cole interviews Mankind about the Steel Cage Match with Vader. Mankind says that this is the first time he's been inside a Steel Cage, but he knows what the Steel Cage is all about, he hitchhiked to New York City at Madison Square Garden in 1983 and watched his childhood wrestler Jimmy Snuka fall untop of Don Muraco in the cage. But now, Vader does not know what he's gotten himself into. Vader may be the most dangerous man in the WWF, but when they lock the cage. Mankind can be the vicious and deranged SOB he's always been. So Mankind knows what he must do to slay the beast, He just has to beat him. And sure he will bleed but it's not going to be the first time or the last and it will be a nice day. Match 4: Steel Cage Match Vader vs Mankind Probably one of the biggest anticipated matchups of Summerslam is finally here and it is, before the match begins. Mankind checks under the ring for weapons and it looks like we may have some weapons in this match as there are No Disqualifactions and No Countouts. Mankind begins to pick up a chair and also a toolbox and follows it up with a sandbag, what is going to happen in this match?. Mankind enters the cage and the bell rings and both Mankind and Vader exchange blows with Mankind getting the better of them and Mankind tosses Vader straight into the cage, last year, Both men had success at Summerslam 1996. Mankind defeated The Undertaker in the first ever Boiler Room Brawl Match and Vader defeated Shawn Michaels to capture his second WWF Championship and you can bet after this match, one of these two could be in line for a future title match again. Mankind had the momentum going but Vader fights back and suplexes Mankind hard in the cage and Vader begins to rain on Mankind with right hands and toss him into the cage even further. Vader whips Mankind into the buckle and hits a clothesline, remember this match is no pinfalls or no submissions and the only way you can win this match is by climbing the cage or escaping through the door. Vader grabs Mankind and bodyslams him straight into the cage wall and Vader grabs the toolbox and hits Mankind in the back with it while he's down. Vader then opens up the toolbox and what is in that toolbox?. Vader gets one of the weapons and it's a screwdriver. Vader attempts to get Mankind with the screwdriver but Mankind fights back throwing punches and snatches the screwdriver away from Vader and Mankind kicks Vader in the gut and begins to jam the screwdriver to Vader's ribs with it, that screwdriver is sharp and that could very well puncture Vader and Mankind's still got the screwdriver and begins to jam it in his head as well and Mankind begins to rip Vader's mask off and Mankind just continues to jam that screwdriver in Vader's face and Vader has been busted open in this contest. The former WWF Champion has been lacerated by Mankind and now Mankind looks at the toolbox and uh-oh. He's got a pair of pliers. Mankind's got a pair of pliers, what is he going to do with the pliers?. Vader fights back though and hits a headbutt knocking down Mankind and Vader begins to get the pliers and attempts to grab Mankind's other right ear, but Mankind fights out of it and begins to throw right hands, the commentators mention that in Japan. Vader and Mankind fought three years ago and it was Vader that multilated Mankind's left ear, so it could be a possibility that Mankind could have been permanately earless again. Mankind runs off the ropes and hits a swinging neckbreaker and Mankind begins to climb the cage but Vader grabs Mankind and chokeslams him back in the ring. Vader then gets the advantage and throws Mankind straight into the cage wall and now Vader is going to do some damage, Vader begins to beat Mankind down sadistically and just pummels him and Vader takes off Mankind's mask and rakes his face into the cage wall and that may have busted open Mankind and indeed it has. Mankind and Vader have now worn the wounds of war. Vader begins to get out the door, but decides to take the ref's leather belt. Vader was almost close to winning this thing, but he just wants to beat Mankind down more. Vader reenters the cage and whips Mankind a few times with the referee's belt and Vader starts to choke Mankind out with it. Vader then grabs something else in the toolbox and there's handcuffs in there, Vader's got handcuffs and look at Vader. Vader is grabbing Mankind and begins to cuff him to the cage wall. This is very sadistic here folks. Vader then grabs something else in toolbox and it's skewers. Vader has got the skewers. Vader begins to put the skewers into Mankind's head and this has been one of the most if not barbaric Steel Cage Matches in WWF History and Mankind is in trouble. Mankind is somehow able to hit a low blow on Vader by his legs while being handcuffed. Mankind begins to break out of the cuffs and take the skewers out and Vader can't believe it. Vader charges at Mankind only for Mankind to sidestep and toss Vader into the cage wall. These two have beaten the hell out of each other and now Mankind has picked up the steel chair. Mankind waits for Vader to get up and Mankind hits him in the face with the chair. Mankind starts to climb the cage and he's almost there but here comes Vader. Vader headbutts Mankind and climbs the cage with him and Vader knocks Mankind off the cage with a fist and now Vader has a chance to win this match. Vader instead does not climb on the cage. He goes to the top rope and hits a splash on Mankind. Vader may have damaged Mankind's ribs there. Vader then picks Mankind up and attempts to hit a powerbomb but Mankind reverses it into a catapult tossing Vader into the cage again and Mankind and Vader have taken a lot out of each other here tonight. Mankind then gets to his feet and then grabs the sandbag and Vader gets to his feet only for Mankind to knock him down with it and Mankind begins to open the sandbag up as the commentators speculate what it is, and they are right. Thumbtacks!. The Thumbtacks have been brought out to Summerslam. Vader and Mankind get to their feet and both men exchange blows with Mankind gaining the better of them. Mankind runs off the ropes only for Vader to hit a German Suplex on Mankind through the tacks. And Mankind definitely looks like a human pin cushion. The pain has to be excrauating between these two, somehow, someway. There's gotta be an ending to this match. Mankind somehow gets to his feet and even though he's still tacked up begins to punch away at Vader and Mankind's got a lot of heart. Mankind whips Vader into the ropes but Vader reverses it and Vader goes for a backbody drop but Mankind reverses it and hits a piledriver and both men are down again. What a physical match between these two. Mankind and Vader somehow get to their feet. Vader gets the advantage and chokeslams Mankind to the mat. Vader heads to the cage and begins to climb it but Mankind gets to his feet and climbs the cage and rams Vader's head into the cage and Mankind grabs him and hits a Russian leg sweep taking both men down on the cage, what do these two have to do to each other?. Vader and Mankind get up and Mankind grabs Vader and hits a double arm DDT on the Steel Chair. Mankind begins to crawl all the way to the side of the cage but can he make it up and out. Mankind then climbs the cage and Mankind is going all the way, it looks like nothing will stop Mankind. But wait a minute?. What is Mankind doing?, he's going back up and the fans are beginning to chant "Superfly". Mankind then climbs to the top of the cage and hits the diving elbow off the top of the cage shades of what Jimmy Snuka did to Don Muraco back in 1983 and now can Mankind escape. Mankind then starts to climb the cage and Mankind's going down off the cage, Mankind gets out of the cage to a loud ovation as he wins the match. What a victory for the Deranged One!. Mankind has finally beaten Vader, Mankind's theme then plays, but then stops and suddenly Dude Love's music plays, it's what is left of Mankind. What a grueling cage match between Mankind and Vader. Mankind's foot finally stirs as he smiles and starts to get to his feet and it's not Mankind, it's Dude Love. Dude battered and bruised but still able to stand to get the victory in Mankind's clothing. Winner: Mankind The commentators show footage of the Million Dollar Challenge that happened between the first winner, 12-year old Ryan Chadick and Patrick Stevenson, a million dollar finalist. Both Chadick and Stevenson are at the platform with Sable, Sunny, Jesse Ventura and Todd Pettengill, Chadick's number is 54 while Stevenson is 13. And there's the casket full of money. There's also a telephone in which 2 winners will be called as well. The phone rings, but there's nobody home. They lost the chance at a million dollars, but here's the other call from someone else. But the line's been disconnected. And someone answers and Pettengill asks for Michael. Michael answers and says that he's not watching Summerslam and also says that the Cable Company is not carrying it, but they explain the rules to him and Michael picks 33 as the number. The drumroll begins and the key opens to the casket, but it's locked. And Pettengill calls another person on the line, The caller answers and Pettengill tells the lady Rebecca that they will give her a chance to win the million dollars. Rebecca says 14. The same thing happens with the key, but no dice. And now can Ryan open up the casket?. Ryan begins to open it, but it will not. And now it's Patrick's turn. Patrick tries opening it, but nope. Pettengill asks Jesse what the winning key is. Ventura says #3 was the key. The key is indeed works, but nobody was lucky to win a Million Dollars tonight. Match 5: Tag Team Texas Bullrope Match The New Age Outlaws vs The Blackjacks The crowd's not really into this match at all considering they saw the greatest Steel Cage Match between Mankind and Vader, but it's gotten silence although both teams have a back and forth encounter with each other, but in the end it's The New Age Outlaws that pick up the victory with Billy Gunn hitting the rocker dropper on Bradshaw to get the pinfall victory in this Tag Team Texas Bullrope Match. Winners: The New Age Outlaws A clip is shown of In Your House: Ground Zero for September 7, 1997 as the next PPV. Todd Pettengill interviews Shawn Michaels about the WWF Title Match and asks if he will put his career on the line to get even with Bret Hart. Michaels says that there is no tension between him and Bret, anything that was once there was at WrestleMania 12 when he defeated him for the title, he is here to be an impartial, unbyest and fair referee and he will call it right down the middle. Match 6: WWF European Championship Match The British Bulldog vs Sycho Sid What a match this should be between these two giants, remember Bulldog has stated that if he loses. Bulldog will eat a can of dog food. Bulldog and Sid go face to face with Sid hammering away at Bulldog and Bulldog fights back and these two big bulls go at it with one another with Sid gaining the upper hand and fighting back against The Bulldog. Sid hits a sidewalk slam on Bulldog but Bulldog kicks out at 2. Bulldog battles back and hits a clothesline on Sid and follows it up with a Military Press Slam on Sid. Bulldog continues to gain the momentum by working on Sid's legs. Bulldog then continues to dominate in this match but Sid makes a comeback by hitting a powerslam as Bulldog went to the top rope. Sid makes a comeback and hits a kick to the face and follows that up with a leg drop but Bulldog kicks out at 2. Sid could be calling for the chokeslam but Bulldog gets out of it and hits a vertical suplex knocking down Sid with his great power but Sid kicks out at 2. Bulldog punches away at Sid and whips him into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Sid rolls through and goes for the chokeslam in which he connects with it. Sid may win the European Title here and it's only a matter of time before The Bulldog eats dog food. Sid grabs Bulldog and attempts a powerbomb but wait a minute there's Jim Neidhart. Neidhart begins to distract the referee and Bulldog gets out of the powerbomb and Bulldog grabs the dog food can and hits Sid in the face with it and that fazes Sid for a bit and Bulldog lifts Sid and nails him with the running powerslam to get the victory. Bulldog has retained the European Title with help from Jim Neidhart. Winner and Still WWF European Champion: The British Bulldog Todd Pettengill interviews The Nation of Domination with their New Jersey Street Fight Match against The D.O.A. Faarooq says that this is finally time for Crush and The DOA to have learned their lesson because The DOA has made a name at their expense and it's going to be over tonight with Crush and the DOA flat on their backs. Match 7: New Jersey Street Fight Match The Nation of Domination vs The DOA This match is going to be brutal and downright dirty to say the least, there's no tags, no disqualifactions, no countouts and Falls Count Anywhere, the match goes good with everybody using everything but the kitchen sink. Faarooq and Crush brawl through the entryway and so are the rest of the DOA and the NOD, The fight spills out backstage with all hell breaking loose using the buffet table tray of food and others. They make their fight back in the ring with them fighting in the platform in where the 2 finalists lost that Money Challenge. Crush uses the Money Board and hits Faarooq with it, the brawl continues in the ring. 8-Ball puts Kama through a table with a powerslam but D' Lo breaks up the count. Skull gets busted open with a chain by Ahmed Johnson. The DOA are somehow able to fight back, but as they begin to put the match away with Crush hitting Faarooq with a backbreaker, Rocky Maivia surprisingly makes his way to the ring and smacks Chainz in the face with a steel chair and also Crush as well. What?. Has Rocky Maivia joined the Nation of Domination. Apparently so, Faarooq, D' Lo, Kama, Ahmed and Maivia all gang up on 8-Ball and powerbomb him through a table with Faarooq getting the victory over 8-Ball. The Nation of Domination have won the match, but It seems as if they have a new person and it's Rocky Maivia, Maivia grabs Skull and adds insult to injury by hitting the modified uranage he uses. Winners: The Nation of Domination A clip is shown of Stone Cold and Owen Hart set to "Come out and Play" by the Offspring. Match 8: WWF Intercontinental Championship Match Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Owen Hart Stone Cold has stated that if he loses the match against Owen, he must have to kiss Owen's ass. Michael Cole tries to get a comment from Stone Cold Steve Austin, but refuses to say a word. Austin makes his way to the ring to a loud ovation, it was last year, that he ended the WWF Legend of Roddy Piper at Summerslam in 1996. And he's looking to make another Summerslam Moment. Austin flips off Owen and that allows Owen to attack Austin behind his back to the knees and Owen begins to attack the knee of Austin. Owen kicks Austin but Austin fights back and Austin goes for an elbow but Austin hits him with the lou thesz press and Austin throws Owen sternum first into the buckle and grabs Owen by the hair and throws him down to the mat, not once, but twice. Austin runs off the ropes and goes for a knee strike but Owen dodges it but Austin surprises him with a clothesline as Owen is posing. Austin goes for the cover but Owen kicks out at 2. Austin then grabs Owen by the arm and hits a Greco-Roman knucklelock and Austin does it again as the fans begin to chant "USA". Austin drives the knee to the shoulder area and Austin goes for the cover but Owen kicks out at 2. Austin continues to go for the arm but Owen tries to reverse it but Austin reverses and Owen tries to go for a jawbreaker but look at Owen, trying to reverse it but Austin throws him down and Austin whips Owen into the ropes and hits a high back body drop and Austin goes for the arm again but Owen fights back and hits a reverse elbow on Austin, and Owen heads to the top rope and hits a cross body on Austin but only gets a 2 count. Owen runs off the ropes and nails Austin with a clothesline sending Austin over the top rope. Owen grabs Austin and tosses him into the steel steps and tosses him back in the ring going for the arm of Austin. Owen is trying to bite Stone Cold by trying to bite him in the head. Owen does not want to get disqualified, Owen tries to break Austin's middle finger and he's biting the middle finger. Owen then locks Austin in the ropes again and Owen is trying to break the fingers again. Owen runs off the ropes but Austin hits a stungun and now Austin is coming back in this match. Owen tries to go for a hurracarana but Austin counters it into a powerbomb and Austin tosses Owen over the top rope to the floor and Owen begins to beg for a timeout, But Austin will not be denied. Austin hits Owen with a clothesline to the head as Owen tried to get away. Austin then takes Owen into the Money Platform and tosses him back in the ring and Owen is trying to beg off. Austin stomps away at Owen and throws right hands at him but Owen reverses an Austin whip and hits a belly to belly and follows it up with a vicious neckbreaker. Owen then drops the leg on Austin and goes for the cover but Austin kicks out at 2. Owen scoops Austin up and slams him to the mat and Owen now heads to the top rope and drops the elbow but Austin kicks out at 2. Owen goes for the neck of Austin as we all know the history of Austin's neck problems. Owen then whips Austin into the buckle but Austin comes at him with a clothesline and Austin tries to go for a sharpshooter but Owen counters it and hits a clothesline of his own and drops the leg again to Austin's neck. Owen goes for the cover but Austin kicks out at 2. Owen whips Austin into the buckle and hits a headbutt and Austin counters Owen's reversal and hits a spinebuster. Austin goes for a bodyslam but Owen hits a German Suplex and goes for the cover but Austin kicks out. Owen locks in the Camel Clutch and he's got it synched in real tight. Can Austin give up here tonight, he didn't give up at WrestleMania 13. But will Summerslam be the real story?. Austin fights out of the camel clutch and whips Owen into the ropes but Owen reverses it and hits an underhook DDT but Austin kicks out again at 2. Owen then locks in the sleeper hold on Austin again but Austin fights out of it and Owen hits a shoulder block again but Austin and Owen exchange sleeper holds, but Austin counters Owen's sleeper hold into a jawbreaker. Austin heads to the top rope and goes for a flying clothesline but Owen hits him in the gut and Owen scoops up Austin and hits a Russian leg Sweep, this has been a back and forth match. But Austin kicks out at 2. Owen continues to go for the neck of Austin by locking in a sleeper hold. Owen tries to use advantage by using the ropes on Austin. The referee gets the ropes off of Owen's feet. And Owen begins to scream at the referee and Austin gets to his feet and hits a right hand on Owen and whips him into the ropes and goes for a slam but Owen counters it and drops Austin with a Tombstone Piledriver and now it may be over, but wait a minute. Austin is down. The referee is checking on Austin and it looks like Austin is hurt. Austin may have suffered a stinger. Owen continues to taunt to the crowd but Austin is out of it and wait a minute Austin is coming to and takes Owen down and rolls him up to win the Intercontinental Championship. But Austin is still hurt. Winner and New WWF Intercontinental Champion: Stone Cold Steve Austin Austin tries to get to his feet and barely does so with the help of referees, but he raises up the Intercontinental Championship, however he can barely stand. That Tombstone may have dropped Austin on his skull and he is very hurt badly. Austin has still won the match but with a price. A Video Clip is shown of Bret Hart and The Undertaker set to "We Don't Need Another Hero" by Tina Turner. Before the main event begins, the Commentators tell us that there's not an update on Stone Cold Steve Austin as of yet. But the commentators talk about the match between Bret Hart and The Undertaker. Bret Hart's music plays in the arena as he makes his way to the ring for what possibly could be his last match in the United States ever. This is also the 9th appearance for Bret Hart at Summerslam, he was there from 1988 through 1996 of last year. Hart has a Canadian Flag with him, Bret has waited since WrestleMania 12 to get the WWF Championship again. But everytime he came close, he claimed that he was screwed. Bret picks up the microphone and says that he would like everyone to stand back and listen to the Canadian National Anthem and he wants to dedicate this match to all the fellow Canadians, all of his fans and his family that feel the same way about America and all the Americans, the Canadian Flag begins to play to some massive boos. The fans stay silent at the Canadian Anthem as they should be, the Canadian Anthem then stops as Shawn Michaels's music then plays in the arena coming out as the referee, this is Shawn's eighth Summerslam Appearance, but he is not a wrestler tonight, last year at Summerslam, he dropped the WWF Title to Vader. But tonight, he gets the chance to award the WWF Title to either Bret Hart or The Undertaker here tonight. Then suddenly the lights go out as The Undertaker's music plays in the arena, A casket is being wheeled out by Undertaker's druids. The Druids then lift it upright and out of the casket steps The Undertaker in the casket. What a phenemonal entrance by the Man From The Darkside coming out in the Casket. Both Bret and Undertaker have not wrestled at a PPV since 1993 at WrestleMania 9 and that was when The Undertaker defeated Bret Hart to gain his second WWF Championship, but that was then and this is now. Bret has not held the WWF Title since WrestleMania 12, he wants it back in his possession if it means fighting for his career. Match 9: WWF Championship Match Special Guest Referee: Shawn Michaels Bret Hart vs The Undertaker Bret wastes no time going right after The Undertaker as The Undertaker takes off his trenchcoat, Bret's ready for this. Bret has been the WWF Champion three times, but no one has stopped The Undertaker in his title reign since winning it at WrestleMania 13, Vader, Mankind, Ken Shamrock, Sycho Sid, Faarooq, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and others tried, but they all failed to do so. And last year, The Undertaker lost at Summerslam to Mankind in the Boiler Room Brawl Match. Undertaker takes off his trenchcoat and fights back on Bret and look at The Deadman throw hands on the Hitman. Michaels tries to warn Undertaker but Undertaker gives him the glare. Taker whips Bret into the buckle and hits a clothesline and Undertaker hits another clothesline sending Bret over the top rope to the floor and look at the Phenom go to work on Bret. Undertaker whips Bret into the steel steps and Undertaker tosses Bret back in the ring and hits the signature apron leg drop on Bret and Taker gets in the ring and goes for the cover but Bret kicks out at 2. Bret fights back and dropkicks Undertaker over the top rope and Undertaker lands on his feet. Bret goes to the apron and goes for a forearm but Undertaker grabs him and rams his spine into the ringpost and Taker tosses Bret in the ring. Undertaker's been on a mean streak as of late since Paul Bearer announced that Undertaker was the one that set his brother, mother and father on fire at a Funeral Home killing his Mother and Father, but his brother Kane is somehow alive, the commentators announce that Stone Cold is in the hospital and he is suffering neck damage. Undertaker still continues to gain the momentum in this match and whips Bret into the ropes hitting a high back body drop and goes for a elbow drop but Bret counters and Bret heads to the top rope and hits a flying clothesline on The Undertaker but Undertaker is able to kick out at 2. Bret hammers away at Undertaker and Bret charges at Undertaker again but Undertaker hits him with another clothesline and Taker grabs Bret by the arm and sets up for the ropewalk but Bret hits an armdrag stopping The Undertaker's ropewalk and Bret hits a chopblock on The Undertaker and begins to go for the legs of The Undertaker. Bret methodically always likes to go for the big men's legs and The Undertaker is no exception. Bret continues to go for the leg of The Undertaker and Taker tries to fight back but Bret continues to go for the legs and Bret may go for the sharpshooter but instead drives his elbow right in The Undertaker's knee. Bret then kicks the leg of The Undertaker in the buckle and Bret hits a headbutt to the head of The Undertaker and it could be figure-four leg lock and Bret continues to go for the ankle of The Undertaker, but wait a minute somebody's coming as the fans begin to boo and it's Paul Bearer. Paul Bearer is here, Paul Bearer has claimed The Undertaker's brother Kane is still alive. Taker frustratingly spots Paul Bearer and Bret still locks the figure-four leg lock. Has Paul Bearer brought Kane here tonight?. The Phenom breaks out of the figure four leg lock and Taker and Bret get to their feet with Taker hitting another clothesline and begins to go after Paul Bearer on the outside with a big boot to the face and Undertaker gets back in the ring but Bret chopblocks the ankle again with Michaels telling Bearer to get his fat ass out of here. Bret then locks in the figure-four on the outside with Undertaker on the apron. Bret then threatens Shawn and gives Shawn the middle finger and there is tension between the two. Bret continues to focus on the legs of The Undertaker, but wait a minute here comes more company as Owen Hart and Brian Pillman all show up. And what a bad night this has been between them as Goldust and Stone Cold Steve Austin humiliated them. And speaking of Goldust, he makes his way to go at it with Pillman and here comes Dude Love with Goldust as well. Dude and Goldust begin to fight with Pillman and Owen on the outside, but Bret is still going for the legs of The Undertaker. No one has ever targeted The Undertaker's legs like that. Could The Undertaker pass out like Stone Cold did at WrestleMania 13?. Taker somehow tries to fight back and kicks the head of Bret Hart and Undertaker gets to his feet and hits a straight uppercut on Bret and Taker throws Bret into the buckle and hits a turnbuckle clothesline and follows it up with Snake Eyes and hits a boot to the face and scores with a big time leg drop. Taker goes for the cover but Bret kicks out at 2. Taker hits Bret again and whips him into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Bret hits a neckbreaker. Bret goes for the cover but Undertaker kicks out at 2 and this is a back and forth contest between these two. Bret clotheslines The Phenom over the top rope to the floor and Bret goes for a piledriver on the floor on The Undertaker but Taker backdrops Bret to the floor and Taker tosses Bret back in the ring and Undertaker grabs Bret by the throat and chokeslams him to the mat. Taker goes for the cover but Bret kicks out at 2. And Taker gets to his feet and looks for the Tombstone but Bret rolls up Undertaker and goes for the cover but Undertaker kicks out at 2. Taker then gets to his feet and misses a clothesline and that allows Bret to hit a DDT on The Undertaker. Bret then picks Undertaker up and hits a backbreaker and picks him up and hits a suplex and drops the elbow off the top rope and Bret shows the middle finger to the fans and goes for the cover again but Undertaker kicks out once more. Bret heads to the top rope and Undertaker gets to his feet and Bret hits a flying clothesline on The Phenom. Bret goes for the cover but Undertaker again kicks out at 2. Bret then hits a headbutt and hits another one but Undertaker grabs Bret and stunguns him into the buckle and Taker goes for the cover but Bret kicks out again. What a back and forth match between these two. Taker then hits Bret with a headbutt and a right hand but Bret fights back and the two exchange in a slugfest with Undertaker gaining the upper hand but Bret fights back and hits a Russian Leg Sweep on The Phenom. Bret runs off the ropes and hits a leg drop on Undertaker and does it again. Bret then locks in the sharpshooter again but Undertaker grabs Bret by the throat and Taker knees Bret in the ribs and throws a right hand and rocks Bret into the buckle. Taker whips Bret into the buckle and goes for another move but Bret knees him in the face and goes for a clothesline but Undertaker surprises him with a sidewalk slam. Taker goes for the cover again but Bret kicks out at 2. Taker makes another comeback and whips Bret into the ropes but Bret reverses it and that allows Undertaker to hit the Jumping Clothesline on Bret. Taker then grabs Bret and tosses him square into the buckle and Bret is able to kick out at 2. Undertaker whips Bret into the ropes and hits another boot to the face and nails another leg drop. Taker goes for the cover again but Bret kicks out once more. And what a seesaw battle here in this match. Taker grabs Bret by the throat and hits another chokeslam, what a powerful chokeslam by The Undertaker. Taker goes for the cover but Bret kicks out again. Two Chokeslams and somehow Bret kicks out of it. Taker then grabs Bret and goes for the ropewalk again but Bret counters it once more and Bret heads to the top rope and goes for the superplex but Undertaker collapses but Bret still has him underhooked and takes him down with a superplex. And this has been a back and forth match between these two WWF Veterans. Bret then sets up for the sharpshooter and he's got it locked in. Can The Undertaker tap?. The Undertaker's never tapped out in his WWF Career. This may be shades of WrestleMania 13. Undertaker fights out of the Sharpshooter and runs off the ropes hitting a Jumping DDT on The Challenger. And both men are down again. Bret and Taker both get to their feet and exchange blows and Undertaker whips Bret into the ropes and hits a clothesline and now Taker makes the cut-throat signal and it could be Tombstone time. Bret fights through and hits a sharpshooter on the apron using the ringpost. The referee is counting Bret and Taker throws Bret untop of Shawn. Bret then gets up and grabs a steel chair and gets in the ring with it and Bret clobbers Undertaker in the head with it. Bret tells Shawn to get up and he goes for the cover but Undertaker kicks out at 2. Bret and Shawn begin to argue and Bret hammers away at The Undertaker but Shawn notices the chair and confronts Bret with it. Michaels and Bret begin to argue and Bret spits in Shawn's face and that makes Michaels angry and Michaels ges for Bret's head but ducks and nails The Undertaker with it and Bret covers The Undertaker and Michaels has no choice but to count The Undertaker's shoulders to the mat and we have a new WWF Champion. Winner and New WWF Champion: Bret Hart Shawn is upset and walks out of the ring while The Undertaker gets to his feet and begins to stalk Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker's 5-month reign as WWF Champion has come to an end here tonight. Bret Hart is now the second man to become the 4-time World Wrestling Federation Champion. The second man since Hulk Hogan did in 1991. Bret is now the four-time WWF Champion, the rest of the Hart Foundation come in to celebrate with Bret, it took Bret 17 months to get the belt back, but finally. Bret is now the WWF Champion for the fourth time and it happened in East Rutherford, NJ. But why did Shawn do this to The Undertaker?. It was an accident, Shawn had no choice and just walked away after the pinfall. Shawn was objective in this match, The Hart Foundation celebrate Bret's victory as Summerslam goes off the air.

Shamrock went over and honestly was kind of shocked by such. But, Glad we keep stronger and more dominant Shamrock in this world. Really hope he goes far in the near future. That Steel Cage was beautifully done, and love the introduction of Dude Love. He left the rage in the cage, and he's all about love. Really hopeful to see where Dude Love moves in this world. Love the history dating back to Bret and Taker's first engagement. Honestly, I wanna read back on the past of this diary. Shawn takes the same action, and I take it Taker will roll the same way. Great stuff, and great way to wrap up the summer of stories as we head into fall with new dynamics rising.

WWF RAW IS WAR - August 4. 1997
A clip is shown of Summerslam 1997 starting off with Mankind's tremendous dive to the top of the cage on Vader, and also Stone Cold being injured by Owen Hart, and the impossible happening with Bret Hart defeating The Undertaker with help from Shawn Michaels becoming a four-time WWF Champion.
Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for tonight as they talk about a match that has been booked for Ground Zero, as it will be The Undertaker taking on Shawn Michaels for the first time ever, and also the condition of Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the new president of the WWF will be here tonight. The rest of the Hart Foundation come out sans Brian Pillman, and where is Pillman tonight?. Bret did the impossible at Summerslam and is now the second man tied to be a 4-time WWF Champion. The last time anyone did that was Hulk Hogan in 1991. It was somewhat of a good night for the Hart Foundation, despite Bret winning the WWF Title, Owen dropped the Intercontinental Title to Stone Cold Steve Austin, we don't know what the status is of Stone Cold tonight. Bret says that don't it make the fans smile, they're supposed to suffer for their crimes, if the fans aren't suffering, it's not a crime. He told the fans that he would defeat The Undertaker to win the WWF Title, even if he didn't need Shawn Michaels's help and he proved it against all odds, against the Man From The Darkside that is the devil, and also proved it that was against him and he favored the other guy throughout the entire match. Bret says that he stuck to the letter of the word "agreement". He stuck to his word, but the WWF didn't stick to their word. They said if Shawn showed any kind of favoritism, then he would not wrestle in the United States again. Bret says that all his fans around the world knows that Shawn Michaels favored The Undertaker all the way through that match to the end of the match. Bret says that he would proudly defend the title against anyone whether the United States liked it or not, Bret says that he wants Shawn out of the World Wrestling Federation and out of America. Bret says that he's supposed to have a meeting with the new president of the WWF that should be here right now. But everyone wants to know why Brian Pillman ain't here, last night at Summerslam, Brian Pillman is out of the Hart Foundation and is now looking for a job in the streets and as far as his brother-in-law goes, he defeated Sycho Sid and he did it proud. But what happened in the Intercontinental Title Match between Owen Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin, And Owen wants to say this right now. Owen says that last night he showed compassion, he's angry and how mad he really is. Owen showed weakness to Stone Cold Steve Austin and he beat himself, but in doing that. He made Austin a crippled man, he's paralyzed and in the hospital in New Jersey, but he ended Austin's career. He may have stole Owen's title. But he'll never wrestle again and the only thing Austin should do is forfeit his title or either come out and fight Owen again and the only way to solve it is to get the title back. Then suddenly Sgt. Slaughter's old music hits in the arena as he comes down to a loud pop and the announcers announce him as the new WWF President with full authority. Slaughter was the WWF President once from 1993 through 1995. Slaughter first says that Bret isn't the new sheriff in town, he is. And he makes the rules, not Bret. So his first decision as WWF President, that Bret will defend the title at Ground Zero against the winner tonight of the RAW Royal Rumble. What?. A RAW Royal Rumble tonight, that is impossible. There's never been a RAW Royal Rumble Match in the history of RAW. Slaughter says that the winner of that Royal Rumble will face Bret Hart for the WWF Title at Ground Zero. Bret says he doesn't care who wins, he doesn't give a damn. Slaughter then turns it over to Bulldog and says that he will have a European Championship Match with Sycho Sid. Slaughter also says that he doesn't see Pillman here, so Pillman is fired as the Hart Foundation puts it. Slaughter says that Owen will also have another rematch with Stone Cold Steve Austin when the doctor gives him approval or when Stone Cold says so, then Stone Cold's music hits as he comes out with a neckbrace in hand. He is not supposed to be here. Austin has checked out of the Hospital Bed. Austin says that he says so right now, Owen Hart. He doesn't need no Doctor's Approval. The fact is that Owen dumped him on his head don't mean a damn thing. Owen was too stupid to pin him when he had the chance. The Bottom line is that Owen's a loser not because he says he is, but it runs through his viens because his Mom and Dad gave it to him. Austin says that whether it's tonight, next week, or next month. Austin 3:16 will give Owen the rematch of a lifetime and that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so. It seems like Stone Cold is ok from Last Night, but will Slaughter clear him?.
McMahon takes us to fans who were at Summerslam's show talking about the WWF Title Match. The fans say that Shawn Michaels is a traitor and that Undertaker should have won the match and Shawn Michaels will get a royal-ass-kicking. (break) Match 1: Taka Michinoku vs Flash Funk This should be an entertaining match between these two high flyers as Flash Funk takes on Taka Michinoku with Michinoku having the advantage against Funk but Funk battles back and hits a dropkick on Michinoku. The match goes on for a solid 5 to 10 minutes. Funk attempts to hit Michinoku with the Wild Thing but Michinoku reverses it and hits a Michinoku Driver on Funk to pick up the victory in this back and forth battle. After the Match, both men shake hands as McMahon announces that both will enter the RAW Rumble. Winner: Taka Michinoku
Backstage, Sgt. Slaughter is with the doctor who treated Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Doctor says that Austin has a condition called Spinal Shock Syndrome which has affected his neck and his upper back muscles and arms which is recommended strongly that he doesn't do any wrestling at all tonight.
(break) Back from break, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Sgt. Slaughter are arguing with Austin not being able to wrestle tonight. Austin says that just because he has Spinal Shock Syndrome doesn't mean he can wrestle tonight. Slaughter explains that the doctors want Austin to take it easy tonight, not risk being hurt tonight. And plus, he might be out of action for as long as they know, all Austin needs to do is go home and get some rest, he's hired Security to take him to his truck and leave the building tonight that means he is also out of the RAW Rumble Match. Austin says that Slaughter may not be president for long because once he's done with Owen and if he gets injured again, it's his ass and that's the bottom line. Match 2: Kurrgan w/Don Callis vs Jeff Hardy The Dominant Kurrgan is here again on Monday Night RAW as he takes on Jeff Hardy. Hardy never gets in any offense as Kurrgan just squashes him like a bug and hits the Iron-Claw Chokeslam to get the victory. McMahon announces that Kurrgan will also be a part of the RAW Rumble as well. Winner: Kurrgan Backstage, Hunter Hearst Helmsley is by the tumbler ready to pick his number, he picks it up and is in shock. Slaughter walks in the room as Helmsley tells him that he needs a different number. Slaughter says that the's number he chose tonight. Either take it or not end up being in the match. Helmsley says he doesn't care what number he drew, he's going to go back to the top because last year, he was made a joke out of, but tonight. It all ends, then Dude Love appears out of nowhere and says that the Dudester's feeling lucky tonight. Slaughter says that Dude's friend Mankind is in the match, not Dude. Helmsley begins to laugh at Dude. Dude says that he just came to pick Mankind's number. Helmsley interrupts and says that him and Mankind are just the same. Dude tells Helmsley that Helmsley's been having a lot of bad luck lately. Helmsley replies by saying so is Dude because his partner Stone Cold Steve Austin is injured and may not wrestle again. Dude says that Helmsley's bad luck may continue tonight, Helmsley gets upset by this and gives Dude a sucker punch to the chin. Helmsley just punched Dude Love!. Helmsley tells Chyna to go, Helmsley and Chyna leave with Dude standing up and Dude saying that Helmsley's getting his tonight. (break) Kevin Kelly interviews Sycho Sid about his appearance in the RAW Rumble. Sid says that at the Royal Rumble last January, he didn't win it, but he admits, this past year, he's done some things he's not proud to admit like costing Shawn Michaels the WWF Championship at the Royal Rumble and even making Shawn lose his smile, but he's a changed man and that's why Bret Hart has claimed that America sucks. Well there is nothing wrong with America and now that Bret's WWF Champion again, it means everybody is gunning for him including Sycho Sid. Sid says that he's chased 6 years for the WWF Championship and he can't get it. Sid says that it doesn't matter whether it's friend or foe, he is going to become the WWF Champion and win the whole thing, why, is because he is the master and the ruler of the world. Backstage, The Hart Foundation are talking about the RAW Rumble when Slaughter comes in and says that tonight, Stone Cold and Owen Hart's match is not happening, so that means the rest of the Hart Foundation can take the night off, And that both Owen, Bulldog and Neidhart will not be in the Rumble Match, nor be a part of it to ruin this match. Bret says that's fine because they're going to watch the match directly in the locker room and he doesn't give a damn who wins because at Ground Zero, they are going to tap out.
Match 3: The Headbangers vs Public Enemy What a Tag Team Match this is going to be as The Headbangers take on The Public Enemy in this match, The Headbangers and Public Enemy fight for a good 2 minutes when suddenly Dan Severn enters the ring and begins to attack both teams. Severn continues his all out attack after the bell rings. Winner: Draw Cornette grabs a mic as Severn tosses the teams out. Cornette says that if it's the best the WWF has to offer. At Summerslam, Cornette and Severn were jobbed, but they're not going to let that get away from them and Severn will not be competing in the RAW Rumble either, because Severn is not here to talk, he's here to fight and this is why the WWF decided that Cornette's job of managing Vader at the Royal Rumble was over. Cornette says that he's mad at management that they screwed him for not being with Vader. Cornette says that since he came to the WWF in 1993, he's managed the greatest wrestlers. Owen Hart, British Bulldog, Vader, Yokozuna, not to mention Ric Flair who is still wrestling like he's 30 years old but still the Greatest of All Time. Cornette says that if he wants to shoot, he's going to go ahead and shoot at the WWF. Cornette says that the WWF Superstars have all been treated, Mankind. Stone Cold Steve Austin, and all the others, but who gets the attention in wrestling, the nWo. Cornette says that all the fans wanna come to the WWF shows and flaunt WCW fans and saying that WCW is more better than the WWF and then ECW as well. He then goes on saying that a guy like Kevin Nash was saying that he wasn't going to leave the WWF but now he's in WCW and wrestles in his 40s, when obviously he's a teenager. Because he's a liar, And a guy like Scott Hall, who was a big star winning the Intercontinental Championship and the WWF Championship, a man who carried the WWF Title Division in 1995. But what does he do, he straight walks out and leaves. And The 123 Kid, naming Sean Waltman. The only reason Sean is employed is he throws up on himself. Why they're all employed in WCW is because of the jackass Eric Bischoff. The Idiot's name is on it and he and Ted Turner are pushing the strings in WCW. Eric Bischoff's a guy who's a big fan of riding Harleys and throws it around like water. And that's why the wrestling fans started recognizing Ric Flair, Mankind, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and all the others. The WWF has been treated like crap and that's why Dan Severn is not getting the same opportunities, Cornette says that change is going to come to the World Wrestling Federation, it may not be when or where. But it's going to come soon. Cornette and Severn leave the arena as the fans are stunned at what they just heard. Backstage. Ken Shamrock is getting his tumbler as he doesn't look too thrilled about it, but still doesn't care as he says he is going to get in the zone and win the WWF Championship. Then the Nation of Domination come in while Shamrock stares them down. Faarooq and Ahmed both pick up their numbers and it doesn't seem like D-Lo, Kama and Maivia will not be participating. Faarooq and Ahmed both smile at their numbers with Faarooq telling Shamrock that Shamrock may not make it when Faarooq gets in there because he's going to Ground Zero and the WWF Championship will finally be around the waist of a black man. Faarooq and Shamrock get face to face as RAW takes a commercial break. (break) A clip is shown again of what happened between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker at Summerslam, Shawn Michaels is up next, but backstage, Vader and Paul Bearer pick up Vader's number for the RAW Rumble as Vader seems a lot pleased at it. Bearer says that tonight's the night for Vader and that WWF Title is coming home around his waist. Shawn Michaels is on his way to the ring by a mixed reaction as Vince McMahon is in the ring with him. The fans begin to boo Michaels as McMahon calls this a crowd reaction and says that if it hadn't been for Michaels, The Undertaker may still be WWF Champion. Michaels says that Vince, The Undertaker, Bret Hart and the best of the World Wrestling Federation fans are dumping this on him. McMahon then tries to respond but Michaels tells him to stop and says that it's just like him, The Undertaker, the fans and Bret Hart. He does not give a damn what anyone thinks of him. McMahon tries speaking again, but Michaels shuts him up and says that for the first time in his career, he put on a referee shirt and did one hell of a job. He called it down the middle, Right or Wrong?. Exactly, McMahon says that is Michaels in cahoots with Bret Hart?. Michaels says that he's always known he was a nimrod, but now. He's been convinced that he's the dumbest son of a bitch that Michaels has ever met in his life. McMahon says that Michaels might be shuddering when he takes on The Undertaker at Ground Zero. Michaels tells McMahon to get out of here and he can move it or lose it. Michaels says that he's not in any way in cahoots with Bret Hart, it's no secret that Bret and Shawn are friends, nor never will be friends, nor exchange Christmas or Thanksgiving Cards, but Bret Hart needs him because he is the only man in the WWF that has beat him, at WrestleMania 12, he beat his ass in Anaheim and goes on to The Undertaker saying that as long as him and Shawn have been in the WWF has never crossed paths, except for now. The WWF Championship can wait, but it's damn sure personal. Shawn says that he lays down for absolutely no one, he doesn't do it for Bret Hart, nor The Undertaker, nor the fans, nor anyone. Michaels says that the next time Undertaker sees The Heartbreak Kid is that when his dead carcass feels Sweet Chin Music down his throat, 10 years he's given the fans respect, but all the fans can go to hell. Then suddenly Undertaker's music plays in the arena as he walks to the ring with a purpose. Shawn suddenly disappears out of the ring as Undertaker picks up the mic Shawn dropped. Taker says that he's not coming out here to tell the world how mad he is or how bad he is, he lost the WWF Championship at Summerslam. But that can wait, however, he's done way too much talking and now it's time to get back to what he does best whether what people tell him to do, whether if people blackmail him, or whether if people betray him, he's back from doing what he does best and that is taking souls and making people Rest In Peace, and at Ground Zero, Shawn Michaels will look him in his eyes and pay for his crimes and he will rest in peace. Then as Undertaker leaves, Paul Bearer's voice fills the titantron. Bearer says that speaking of paying crimes, The Undertaker's the criminal of what happened 20 years ago. He is the one that killed his parents and look at him now, not only lost the WWF Championship but he's lost a bit of weight. Bearer tells Undertaker to call him a name and make fun of the scammer, Bearer says that last night he was with Kane and he is ready to come and that he's waited 20 years to face his brother eye to eye. Bearer says to call Undertaker a liar but Kane is coming and when Kane comes, The Undertaker will not be resting in peace, but he will be resting in eternal hell. Taker then leaves the ring but as he does so, a strange red light fills the titantron, is it the mind games of Paul Bearer and Kane?. Is Kane here tonight?. RAW takes a break with The Undertaker looking for his brother Kane.

Helmsley tries to hit Mero with a pedigree but Mero hits a back body drop and nails Helmsley with a dropkick and goes to work on Shamrock. He's still gotta pick him. And he is on his way right now.
#30. Vader
Arguably the best draw of the night as Vader is the last entrant of the first RAW Rumble, he is a 2-time WWF Champion, and he may just clear everyone over the top rope. Helmsley tries going right for him but Vader headbutts him to the mat and The Outlaws try going after him but Vader throws them down as well. Crush then punches away at Vader but Vader grabs him by the throat and chokeslams him to the mat. Liger heads to the top rope and tries to hit Vader with a cross body but Vader grabs Liger and tosses him out of the ring.
JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Vader has cleaned house in this match. But there's Mankind, Mankind and Vader battled at Summerslam last night in the gruesome Steel Cage Match. But this is a shot at the WWF Title here tonight. 11 men are left as we have The Outlaws, Flash Funk, Vader, Goldust, Mankind, The Legion of Doom, Crush, Shamrock and Helmsley. Mankind and Vader exchange blows with one another with Mankind getting the upper hand. Mankind tries to hit Vader with a Double Arm DDT and successfully he does. Flash comes charging at Helmsley but Helmsley ducks and tosses Funk over the top rope but Funk hangs on the apron and Helmsley gives him a right hand knocking Flash over the top rope to the floor. 10 Men are left.
FLASH FUNK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
The Outlaws and The Legion of Doom keep resuming their feud while Goldust and Crush try to eliminate each other but here comes Vader, he gets to his feet and takes both Goldust and Crush over the top rope together.
GOLDUST AND CRUSH HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED.
It is now down to 8, The Outlaws, The Legion of Doom, Vader, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Shamrock and Mankind. Hawk and Animal set up Gunn for the Doomsday Device but Dogg shoves Hawk over the top rope and now it is down to 7. Animal tries to go after Road Dogg but Billy Gunn surprises Animal and shoves Animal over the top rope and there go the Legion of Doom.
THE LEGION OF DOOM HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED
We are down to 6, Helmsley directs The Outlaws to go after Shamrock. The 3 double team Shamrock while Vader and Mankind go at it with one another. Mankind eventually fights back against Vader and is able to aid Shamrock against The Outlaws and Helmsley. Shamrock grabs Billy and suplexes him down to the mat. Mankind also takes Helmsley out with a clothesline and Mankind sees Helmsley up to his feet and Mankind takes Helmsley and himself over the top rope to the floor, so both men have been eliminated. Mankind and Helmsley are out, Helmsley lasted for 53 minutes.
HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY AND MANKIND HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED
Both men begin to brawl on the outside with Chyna and Helmsley both ganging up on Mankind but they both have to be separated by officials as Mankind and Helmsley continue to go at it. And now we are down to the final four. The Outlaws, Vader and Shamrock. The Outlaws gang up on Shamrock but Vader doesn't know what to do, help The Outlaws against Shamrock. Vader eventually begins to go after The Outlaws, Vader grabs them both by the throat and tosses them over the top rope to the floor.
THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED
Vader has eliminated 7 men in this RAW Rumble, and look at this we have #30 and #1. Vader and Ken Shamrock are the final two in this match, this has never happened at a Royal Rumble Match, but it is for the first time. Vader and Shamrock wrestled the last time at the 1997 King of The Ring, but this is for the WWF Championship, this is earning a shot at Ground Zero. Vader and Shamrock go at it with one another with Shamrock getting the upper hand and trying to take Vader down but Vader brings him down with a clothesline and now it's Vader getting the upper hand. Vader tries a move but Shamrock rolls out of the way and the move sends Vader through the ropes but not over the top rope. Shamrock sees Vader through the ropes and Shamrock goes through as well and Shamrock fights Vader on the outside. Shamrock and Vader have not been eliminated. Shamrock tries to toss Vader into the steel steps but Vader reverses it and throws Shamrock into the steel steps. The camera goes to the Hart Foundation watching Shamrock and Vader go at it. Vader tosses Shamrock back in the ring and Vader gets back in and Shamrock takes the fight to him again. Shamrock tries to go for a hurracarana but Vader counters and tries a powerbomb but Shamrock eventually takes the former 2-time WWF Champion with a hurracarana. Shamrock lifts Vader up and attempts a Belly to Belly but Vader headbutts him to the mat and Vader attempts a splash but Shamrock rolls out of the way and Shamrock heads to the top rope and hits a cross body taking down Vader and both men are down, but who will get to their feet first?. Vader gets up and both begin to exchange blows with one another and also have a chopfest with one another. Shamrock goes to hit Vader with a right hand but Vader knocks him down with a right hand and that had to take a lot out of Shamrock. Vader may have just knocked Shamrock out. Vader picks Shamrock and tries to toss him over the top rope but unbelievably Shamrock hangs on and counters the elimination by hitting a German Suplex on Vader. And again both men are down. Shamrock entered at #1 and Vader entered at #30, so fatigue is definitely setting in this match. Vader gets to his feet and goes for a chokeslam and throws Shamrock over the top but Shamrock lands on the apron. Vader thinks he's won but Shamrock is back up to the ring now. Vader charges at Shamrock but Shamrock surprises him with a superkick and Vader gets to his feet only for Shamrock to run off the ropes and clothesline Vader over the top rope to the floor and Vader's out. SHAMROCK HAS WON IT AT #1. Winner: Ken Shamrock Ken Shamrock will face Bret Hart at Ground Zero for the WWF Championship and he deservingly deserves it, he fought through hell and lasted over an hour to win the first RAW Rumble in history as the #1 entrant, Shamrock starts to celebrate but as he does, The Hart Foundation begin to enter the ring to go after Shamrock. Shamrock tries fighting them off but the numbers are too much. Vader sees what's going on and looks like he doesn't want to help, but instead has second thoughts and starts to tear the Canadian Flag in half that was brought outside of the ring as well and look at Vader go to work on The Hart Foundation. Vader starts holding his own, but it's a four on two attack. Shamrock and Vader are outmatched here, but suddenly, Stone Cold Steve Austin enters the ring and he may be walking to an ambush but he doesn't give a damn. Austin gets in the ring and charges at Owen taking him down. The Hart Foundation try to intervene but Vader and Shamrock go after them. Bret leaves the ring while Vader, Shamrock and Austin are fighting all three members of the Hart Foundation. Vader and Shamrock take Bulldog and Neidhart out of the ring and it's down to Austin and Owen. Owen hammers away at Austin and whips him into the ropes and goes for the same move he did at Summerslam but Austin rolls out of it and hits the Stone Cold Stunner on Owen and Austin stands tall over Owen getting in Owen's face giving him the middle fingers. Security rush in and even Sgt. Slaughter come in to try to restrain Austin and look at Austin, he doesn't care if he's injured, he wants to get his hands on the man who injured him at Summerslam. Bret tries to help Owen up but here comes Shamrock. Shamrock gets to his feet and takes Bret down with the anklelock but Bret eventually rolls out of the ring. Shamrock grabs the WWF Title Belt Bret brought and looks at it and raises it up, it could be his on September 7. 1997. But Vader may have turned a new leaf and you gotta hand it to him, he did his best. But it wasn't enough tonight. He had a strong performance tonight at the RAW Rumble, Vader and Shamrock then shake hands while Austin is being escorted by Security as RAW goes off the air.

Wrestling News and Notes - August 4. 1997
PILLMAN LEFT SUMMERSLAM EARLY, WWF STATUS UNKNOWN? - After losing a match to Goldust, we are told that Brian Pillman left the PPV really early, Reporters on the scene said that Pillman packed his bags and left in a rent-a-car in his wrestling gear, and did not appear on Monday Night RAW tonight as well. It seems like Pillman is not happy with his push of what happened with him and Goldust. It does seem like Pillman leaving the WWF might lead to Pillman going back to WCW or debuting in the land of Extreme, also Pillman boarded a plane and went home to Walton, KY. Rumours are stemming that Pillman is having marital issues and there are reports saying that he blames Vince McMahon and Jim Ross for the marital problems, also phone records have indicated that Pillman was talking to Eric Bischoff on the phone the night before Summerslam. We have no intention on what words were said, but all we know is that Pillman is certainly not happy with the Company's direction. More news will break on this story.
PUBLIC ENEMY'S LAST WWF APPEARANCE - As seen on Monday Night RAW. Public Enemy wrestled their last match, although one of them did come back to wrestle the RAW Royal Rumble, but Public Enemy were released by Vince McMahon after the show went off the air, it seems as if Public Enemy could be heading back either to WCW or ECW. But this is another huge blow to another Tag Team.
HBK TO JOIN FORCES WITH HELMSLEY? - It seems like Shawn Michaels and Hunter Hearst Helmsley have been behind the scenes lately and talking about forming an alliance with one another, the two have been close friends in real life, and that showed on May 19, 1996, when they alongside Kevin Nash and Scott Hall all broke kayfabe, Helmsley of course was punished for it, but Michaels wasn't as he was the World Champion at the time. It does seem as if Vince has given Michaels and Helmsley the go-ahead to form an alliance, more on that soon.
RICK RUDE RETURNING WITH THE WWF? - Another news broke out in New Jersey, that Rick Rude was backstage at Summerslam and is set to make a surprise return to the World Wrestling Federation, Rude has retired to wrestling since injuring his back against Sting in 1994 at a WCW event. Rude has not made a WWF Appearance since 1990, his last feud in the WWF was against The Big Bossman who is now Ray Traylor in WCW. But there are talks of Rude coming back as a manager or a consultant. But it seems to be a done deal with Rude and the WWF.

Hart sure has got mouth for regaining the WWF title, but he did settle a score with Taker. However, he can thank Shawn for that. Slaughter also lays down some of the law and we have Royal Rumble going down tonight. I wonder how this Pillman situation is going to go down, if were gonna see him jump ship. Or come back in some wild way. Cool to see Jeff get killed by Kurgan, as well as seeing Shawn cross some sacred lines. Calling Taker out for his crimes, and heel Shawn Michaels is damn well in full effect. Awesome to see Shamrock win and kick ass, with chaos erupting to end Raw and Vader face turn in the air. Great stuff going on.

To whom it may concern, I haven't posted in this diary in 3 months. 1. I've been busy and 2. Cause of the overhyped virus that's been going on around the world. And that's why I haven't seriously paid attention to this diary. But I will say this. I will never leave this group. I am not giving up on this diary. I am coming back and later I will be posting the Rapid Nitro and Road Wild results before going to the August 11 edition of RAW.

WWF RAW IS WAR - August 11. 1997
Clips are shown of last week's RAW with Stone Cold Steve Austin returning after having his neck injured and almost paralyzed by Owen Hart at Summerslam stating that he wanted Owen Hart, but tonight, we will talk with Stone Cold Steve Austin and also clips are shown of the rivalry between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker in where the commentators announce that Shawn Michaels will meet Mankind later tonight, and the RAW Rumble as well in where we saw Ken Shamrock enter at #1 and win the entire thing, the World's Most Dangerous Man is here tonight and he will kick off the show to talk about his title match at Ground Zero.
Vince McMahon and Kevin Kelly are your hosts, McMahon and Kelly announce that both Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross aren't here tonight cause Lawler is in Florida prepping for an upcoming match and Jim Ross was with Stone Cold Steve Austin earlier today. And they announce that Shawn Michaels will take on Mankind, but Mankind has requested that the match between him and Shawn be a No Disqualifaction Match. And plus, Michaels says that he has a huge surprise tonight.
Ken Shamrock's music plays in the arena as he makes his way to the ring and we could be looking at the next World Wrestling Federation Champion as the commentators say. Michael Cole is standing in the ring waiting for him, Cole asks the questions saying that last week Shamrock won a 30-Man Over The Top Rope Royal Rumble Challenge, an entrant that no one in the actual Rumble had ever won. The #1 entrant. Cole asks Shamrock how did it feel to him. Shamrock says that he's been in the WWF for 5 months and he's never thought that he could get a lot of stuff quicker, at WrestleMania 13, he refereed a match between two of the toughest WWF Superstars the business had to offer. And flash forward, three months later, he wins the 1997 King of The Ring and a few weeks later, he faces The Undertaker. But did not win the WWF Championship!. Shamrock says that at Ground Zero, he's got another chance. He's got another chance to be the champion. Shamrock says that it wasn't easy last week when he won the entire Rumble on his own because he fought tougher in UFC and even won Championships there, but this could be his first championship he's ever touched in the WWF and what better way to do it is to beat perhaps the greatest legend of all time, Bret Hart!. Shamrock says that the last time he and Bret fought was at the 1997 King of The Ring and if everybody recalls, he made Bret's ass tap out in the center of the ring. And at Ground Zero, he can damn sure do it again. Because unlike what Bret did at Summerslam when he won the WWF Title, he won't need any accidental help. Shamrock says that he will admit Bret's a hell of a wrestler, a hell of a great athlete. But month after month, he had to idly stand by and threaten America saying how Canada is the greatest thing since sliced bread. There's an old adage that states the fact, if you don't like America, you can leave it. Shamrock says that if Bret thinks he's going to have his buddies come and help him. Well lucky for him, he's brought in the reinforcements. Vader's music plays in the arena as he makes his way to the ring, everybody saw what Vader did last week when he helped Ken Shamrock fight off the Hart Foundation. Vader and Shamrock shake hands, it looks like Vader will be in Shamrock's side at Ground Zero if the Hart Foundation do anything crazy at the PPV. Vader says that for the past two years when he came to the World Wrestling Federation, his purpose was hurting and destroying people. That's what his beliefs were, but when he saw Bret Hart and the rest of his family run around talking about how Canada was so great and Canada was the best, but the rest they said were bullshit. Vader says that he was a two-time WWF Champion and he never said that he hated America, in April, he almost betrayed his country when he attacked that reporter. But when he did that, he looked in the mirror and saw what he was really doing to himself. Cole tells Vader if what Paul Bearer thinks of Vader siding with, the fans. Vader says that everything Paul Bearer wanted, Vader did, but at WrestleMania, he failed to beat The Undertaker. He failed Paul Bearer and that's what Vader did, he left that fat piece of trash because Paul Bearer was more concerned about The Undertaker's brother Kane being alive. Vader says that he will not need Paul Bearer anymore, all he'll need is the fans's support and if that day comes when Shamrock wins the title at Ground Zero. Vader will be the first man to challenge him. Vader says that he believes in Shamrock at Ground Zero. He believes that Shamrock is going to shut Bret Hart's mouth, then suddenly The Hart Foundation come out to the ring and start to attack Shamrock and Vader, but Bret Hart is outside looking on. It is a 3 on 2. Bulldog, Owen and Neidhart shove Vader over the top rope while their focus is on Shamrock. Shamrock tries battling back but the odds are too much, then Vader gets back to the ring and starts to clear house by hitting Neidhart with a chokeslam and Owen with a military press slam sending him over the top rope to the floor and Shamrock sends Bulldog out of the ring with a clothesline. Then suddenly Sgt. Slaughter's music plays in the arena as Sgt. Slaughter comes out. Slaughter says that he sees what this is boiling down to, he sees Shamrock and Vader in the ring and Owen and Bulldog on the outside, but they ain't going to fight right now. Because later tonight, it will be the team of Ken Shamrock & Vader taking on Owen Hart and The British Bulldog and no Jim Neidhart and Bret Hart at ringside. The Hart Foundation are upset but Shamrock and Vader don't care. They will take on Owen Hart and British Bulldog later tonight on RAW.
Backstage, the cameras catch up with Shawn Michaels who talks about his match with Mankind and also his match with The Undertaker at Ground Zero. Michaels says that the WWF is still blaming him for The Undertaker's WWF Title Loss at Summerslam and also he's mad that he's gotta take on that deranged psychopath who climbed off a steel cage at Summerslam. Mankind, Michaels says that he'll take the match against Mankind and he will beat Mankind's ass, but tonight. Shawn has a surprise for everyone, he likes to call it an insurance policy. Match 1: Tag Team Match The New Age Outlaws vs The Blackjacks A rematch of sorts for Summerslam, but this time it's not a bullrope Tag Team Match. The Blackjacks and The Outlaws waste no time going at it with each other with The Outlaws getting the early advantage but the Blackjacks are able to fight back, the end of the match comes when Bradshaw attempts a clothesline on Billy but Billy ducks it and hits a modified rocker dropper on Bradshaw to get the victory, and what another victory for the New Age Outlaws. Winners: The New Age Outlaws A clip is shown of last week with The Nation of Domination having their new member at Summerslam and that new member was Rocky Maivia, and then they show clips of last week with Ahmed Johnson and Faarooq in the RAW Rumble with Faarooq eliminating Ahmed only for Ahmed to get one over on Faarooq, but coming up next, the newest member of the Nation of Domination, Rocky Maivia is back in action. Match 2: Rocky Maivia w/The NOD vs Bob Holly This is Rocky's first match in a long time since 4 months, his last match was at Backlash when he dropped the Intercontinental Title to Owen Hart. Holly has some tough momentum against Maivia but Maivia is able to fight back and put this match away by hitting the modified urange followed by an elbow drop to get the victory. Winner: Rocky Maivia
After the Match, Rock tosses Holly out of the ring with Faarooq picking up a microphone saying that now The Nation is more stronger than ever because D-Lo, Kama and Rocky have all proven their worthy to be the Nation. Ahmed gets upset and asks what about him. Faarooq says that he'll get to Ahmed in a minute. Faarooq then gives The Rock the mic. Rock says that he has three words for everyone, Die Rocky Die, this is the thanks he gets from the pieces of crap. For his blood, sweat and tears. This isn't about the color of his skin, it's about respect. He became the Youngest Intercontinental Champion in history and where did it get him, he had arenas across the country saying Rocky Sucks. Well Rocky Maivia's a lot of things, but sucks isn't one of them. Maivia says that the DOA are racist and optimizes racism, the hell with the DOA. He wants to make a point to the jackass fans, Rocky Maivia and the New Nation will live, breathe and die respect and they will earn respect by any means necessary, Then Faarooq picks up the mic and says that this is the resurgence of the Nation of Domination. But there's someone in this group that has to go and he's looking at Ahmed Johnson. Faarooq stares Ahmed down with anger in his eyes. Faarooq says that Ahmed's the reason Faarooq is not going to Ground Zero to face Bret Hart for the title. When he brought Ahmed up in May. He gave Ahmed waves of freedom, but where did it get Ahmed. He screwed Faarooq out of his opportunity last week and if anyone that deserves to have his pink slip in the Nation of Domination, it is definitely him, so from here on out. Ahmed Johnson is fired and never to be a part of the Family anymore. Ahmed snatches the mic and tells Faarooq that he can't fire Ahmed cause as a matter of fact he quits. Ahmed begins to punch Faarooq in the face and Ahmed is holding his own for a bit, but Maivia sneaks in a low blow on Ahmed and now the numbers are too much. Maivia grabs Ahmed and hits him with the uranage and D'Lo follows it up with a big splash from the top rope. Kama gets Ahmed up and hits a death valley driver as well and Faarooq is the last one to pick up the pieces by hitting Ahmed with the Dominator as referees and officials come to plead with The Nation to stop the beating. Faarooq picks up the mic again and tells Ahmed to let that be a lesson to him because Ahmed was never nothing in the Nation of Domination. Faarooq then spits in Ahmed's face as they leave the ring. Backstage, the cameras catch up to Paul Bearer who is told about what Vader had to say about him. Bearer says that all the stuff Vader said was a damn lie, because he led Vader to the World Wrestling Federation Championship just like he did The Undertaker and this is the thanks Paul Bearer gets, well Vader can go ahead and go side by side with the fans and Ken Shamrock, it really doesn't matter to him. But what matters most is he told The Undertaker last week that Kane was going to come to the WWF and he's promised it. Kane's not here tonight, but it will be sooner down the line when The Undertaker realizes it, Bearer tells The Undertaker that when his brother Kane arrives. He is going to destroy The Undertaker and take everyone out in the World Wrestling Federation. So it will be a matter of time. (break) Backstage, Shawn Michaels is shown talking to the mystery man. Michaels notices the Cameraman seeing them talk with Michaels telling the cameraman to get lost and take a hike. Match 3: Kurrgan w/The Jackyl vs Aaron Ferguson Kurrgan has been impressively dominant since the last 2 months that he came to the World Wrestling Federation and he does not let Ferguson have any offense in as Kurrgan just demolishes him and picks up the victory by hitting the Iron Claw Chokeslam to get the victory. Winner: Kurrgan (break) Match 4: Tag Team Match Ken Shamrock and Vader vs Owen Hart and British Bulldog It should be an entertaining tag team match between the four competitors between Shamrock and Vader against the team of Owen and Bulldog. Owen and Shamrock start the match off for their respective teams with Shamrock getting the momentum on Owen but Owen fights back, everytime Owen has the upper hand, the fans begin an "Austin" chant which gets Owen hot that he tags in the Bulldog at one point. Vader gets in the match and shows off his dominance against The Bulldog but the Bulldog gets the upper hand and hits a clothesline on Vader and follows it up by whipping Vader into the ropes hitting a powerslam but the former 2-time WWF Champion is able to kick out at 2. Bulldog kicks Vader in the gut and goes for a piledriver but Vader backdrops out of it but Vader's momentum gets snuffed with Owen hitting a missile dropkick on Vader. Owen and Bulldog are able to wear down Vader for a good 3 minutes but Vader hits a double clothesline knocking both men and makes the hot tag to Shamrock. Shamrock gets on a roll hitting suplexes after suplexes. And Shamrock is in the zone here. Shamrock whips Owen into the ropes and goes for a backbody drop but Owen kicks him in the gut and look at this, he's going to hit the Tombstone on Shamrock. Just like he did Austin. Shamrock is able to roll out of the way and hit a German Suplex on Owen. Bulldog gets tagged in and whips Shamrock into the ropes but look at this, Vader got the blind tag. Bulldog goes for a clothesline but Shamrock ducks and hits the belly to belly suplex and Vader is on the top rope and Vader connects with the Vaderbomb on The Bulldog. Vader gets the cover, 1. 2. 3. and Vader has pinned the WWF European Champion. And what a Tag Team Match that was. Winners: Ken Shamrock and Vader Just as Shamrock and Vader begin to celebrate their victory. Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart come in and they begin to take it to Shamrock and Vader. Shamrock and Vader are able to hold their own against the four just like earlier tonight, but Bret is not so lucky. Bret tries to go for the sharpshooter on Shamrock but Shamrock fights out of it and takes Bret down and look at this, he's got the anklelock on Bret, but Owen, Bulldog and Jim pull Bret to safety. Bret came close to tapping out again just like he did at King of The Ring. Bret screams at Shamrock saying that he's never taking the WWF Title at Ground Zero. And that he's never going to beat Bret Hart. (break) Match 5: Goldust w/Marlena vs Tiger Ali Singh w/The Iron Sheik and Bob Backlund Goldust has been getting a wave of momentum since defeating Brian Pillman at Summerslam and although he didn't win the RAW Rumble, he could potentially be a contender to the World Wrestling Federation Title much sooner than later. Goldust in no surprise gets the victory over Singh by hitting the curtain call as the commentators announce that after the match, Jim Ross and Stone Cold will have their interview after this match. Winner: Goldust A clip is shown of what happened at Summerslam 1997 with Owen dropping Austin on his head with the tombstone, but Austin was able to get to his feet and roll Owen up to win the Intercontinental Title. Austin was temporarily paralyzed from spinal shock syndrome. Jim Ross was with Stone Cold earlier today about his status in Austin's room and the language is very graphic. Ross and Austin are in the room together with Ross saying that Austin's had a very 24 hours in Philadelphia because Austin is going to see a specialist tomorrow about his neck. Austin welcomes Ross for the time but says that he will throw Ross out the window or start asking questions and to come to a hotel room, this isn't a hotel room he would stay at. When he got hurt at Summerslam, nobody called him or sent a card, not that would he expect it but at least a call to see what was going on, but he got nothing, so the WWF put him in a room with a fruit tray. Austin then upends the fruit tray and tells JR to ask the questions. Ross asks 3 things, Summerslam. His Paralysis, What the doctors told him and what his future will be in the WWF. Austin says that he's the Intercontinental Champion, he beat Owen at Summerslam. But at the end of the match, Owen dropped him on the mat and that craphappens when he couldn't move his arms or his legs, it was pretty scary. He's watched that on tape, but it still sucks and he's over it, but Owen Hart will have hell to pay. When you're dumped on your head. He gets in a position, it ain't worth a damn, but he's a whole lot pissed off, but it's better to be pissed off than pissed on. And Owen will have hell to pay when he returns. JR talks about the Doctors. The Doctors told Austin that he should do something else, but no. Austin loves to wrestle and he's the best wrestler in the world. So he's supposed to see the top spine guy in Philadelphia. It doesn't matter what he has to say, the end result is Austin's. And the bottom line, he's the one that makes the decisions, he will rethink things and go from there, regardless of what happens. Owen's going to pay. If it's his last step of life, Owen will get the hell kicked out of him, when, where or how. But as far as his future goes in the WWF. He will listen, the future for Steve Austin is to put on his black boots and trunks and show up. He'll take days and weeks off. Austin says that when you watch a film at home, you get depressed. So he'll drink a few beers and drive a four wheeler. But he'll be in the Doctor's office, but the only way he sees his future is Stone Cold coming back to the ring, it's been eight years to get to where he's been right now. If a piledriver ain't going to stop Stone Cold, it won't. Austin says that at Ground Zero, he will be there. Whether he defends the Intercontinental Title or the Tag Team Titles, or if he hands the belts over. It's not going to happen. But Stone Cold will be in a black pair of boots and trunks at Ground Zero. And he's at a new level and he's more madder now than he ever was. Austin asks Ross if he has one more question. Austin then tells Ross to get the hell out. (break) Michael Cole interviews Sgt. Slaughter about the condition and status of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Slaughter says that next week he will be on Monday Night RAW to talk about the status of Stone Cold Steve Austin, whether he lets Austin wrestle at Ground Zero or if he wants Stone Cold to vacate the Intercontinental and the Tag Team Titles. It ain't going to be an easy decision but he has to do what is best for the fans's safety and what's best for Stone Cold's safety. Match 6: The Headbangers vs Doug Furnas and Phillip Lafon This should be an interesting tag team match between The Headbangers and Furnas and Lafon. It's a good back and forth match, The Headbangers have gotten well over with the fans lately. Lafon and Furnas get some good momentum in this match but The Headbangers are able to fight back and get the victory over Furnas and Lafon. Winners: The Headbangers Backstage. Mankind is prepared for his match with Shawn Michaels as the commentators ask about his match with Michaels. Mankind says that at Summerslam, he beat the mastodon called Vader. But tonight, Shawn Michaels has now betrayed everybody and Mankind now has to stop him. Mankind says that if Shawn thinks that he pissed The Undertaker off, then think again because Mankind has been in the ring with him and it takes a mean man that has beaten The Undertaker on numerous occasions to piss him off even more. Mankind then states that he hopes Sgt. Slaughter makes the right decision of his friend Dude Love and Stone Cold defending the Tag Team Titles at Ground Zero and that he sure hopes Steve is okay. And if Hunter Hearst Helmsley thinks about interefering. Then Mankind will have a surprise for him as well, so as far as he's concerned, Shawn Michaels, have a nice day.
(break) Match 7: No Disqualifaction Match Mankind vs Shawn Michaels This is the first match for Shawn Michaels on RAW since June of 1997 and will he lose some ring rust here tonight?. Michaels appears not to have lost a step as he gains the early advantage in this match wearing Mankind down, and remember this match is No Disqualifactions. Michaels picks up a steel chair and hits Mankind in the back with it and Michaels goes for it again but Mankind kicks the chair right in Shawn's face and begins to fight back and whips Shawn into the ropes and hits a high back body drop and clotheslines Shawn and himself over the top rope. Mankind takes the advantage and grabs the steel steps and goes to hit him with it but Shawn counters it into a drop toe hold on the Deranged One. And here comes Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna, are they Shawn Michaels's insurance policies?. Shawn then gets the momentum back in his favor and hammers away at Mankind but Mankind fights back and hits a clothesline on Shawn and goes for a cover but Shawn kicks out at 2. Shawn battles back and hits a dropkick knocking Mankind down and runs off the ropes and hits a flying forearm followed by a nipup and Shawn poses for the fans but Mankind gets to his feet and makes a comeback against Shawn but Shawn stops Mankind's flurries of offense by hitting a neckbreaker. Michaels goes for the cover again but Mankind kicks out at 2. Michaels grabs Mankind and sets up for the piledriver but Mankind hits a backdrop on Michaels. And both men are down and wait a minute it's RICK RUDE!. We haven't seen Rick Rude since 1990. The last time he was in the WWF was when he wrestled The Ultimate Warrior at Summerslam, but what is he doing out here?. Mankind and Michaels exchange blows with one another with Michaels gaining the upper hand and hitting a bodyslam on Mankind and Michaels connects with the diving elbow on Mankind and it looks like Michaels is setting up for the superkick and Michaels tunes it up but Mankind counters and hits the Double Arm DDT on Michaels and it could be Mandible Claw time. Mankind gets set for the Mandible Claw and he's got it locked in, but wait a minute here comes Helmsley. Mankind then sees Helmsley and begins to hammer away at him but wait there's Rick Rude in the ring and Rude hits Mankind in the back with a steel chair and Mankind receives the Sweet Chin Music. Helmsley then grabs Mankind and hits the pedigree and wait a minute, Michaels has gained not one, not two, but three insurance policies. Michaels picks up Mankind and pins him to get the win. Winner: Shawn Michaels Michaels is in the ring being celebrated with Helmsley and Rude. Helmsley begins to attack Mankind as Michaels is posing with Rude as Rude raises his hands, then suddenly the lights go out in the arena as The Undertaker's music plays in the arena and he makes his way down to ringside and it looks like Ground Zero has come early. But before he does, the lights go from purple to red and Paul Bearer appears on the titantron telling The Undertaker that the time has drawn near for The Undertaker's demise. The Undertaker's days are numbered because his brother Kane is coming and that he promises that The Undertaker will burn in hell. Then suddenly a wall of fire is in the arena as The Undertaker sees the Wall of Fire with RAW going off the air. But before it does, Michaels sneaks up from behind Undertaker and hits the Sweet Chin Music on him. Michaels just laid Undertaker out with Sweet Chin Music. Michaels, Helmsley, Chyna and Rude begin to walk away and they raise each other's hands on the entryway as The Undertaker gets to his feet and begins to chase them both as RAW goes off the air.

WCW MONDAY NITRO QUICK RESULTS (8/11/97) Nitro kicked off with a promo between J.J. Dillon, Mean Gene Okerlund and Sting with Dillon asking Sting to sign a WCW Contract again. Sting came out with Dillon demanding that Sting face Syxx, but Sting refused to sign it and grabbed a microphone and spoke for the first time telling Dillon that he didn't want not only members of the New World Order, but Hollywood Hulk Hogan and he wanted him one on one for the WCW Title, anywhere, anytime, anyplace. And then after he was through with Hogan, he would not waste any time not only eliminating Hogan from WCW, but the rest of the New World Order to the ground. Dillon agreed with Sting, Dillon said that he made the matches, but the Sting/Hogan WCW Title will not be at Fall Brawl, because he booked The New World Order (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx and Randy Savage) against The Horsemen (consisting of Chris Benoit, Jeff Jarrett, Ric Flair, Steve McMichael and Arn Anderson). But Dillon requested that their match be on December 29, 1997 at Starrcade. Sting smiled and said that he can wait four months to kick Hogan's ass and expose him for the scumbag he is. Sting then told Hogan that his reign as WCW Champion is coming to an end. The Eliminators D. Arn Anderson and Ric Flair at 9:21 in a Tag Team Match with The Eliminators hitting Anderson with a spike piledriver, after the match. Anderson felt numbness and feeling in his neck and back. Ray Traylor D. Alex Wright at 1:50 with the Sidewalk Slam. Featured a promo with Raven saying why he and his Flock should be in the Fall Brawl Match with the nWo and The Four Horsemen. But then said he was going to do something impactful and that he had a surprise for everyone. Raven D. Dean Malenko at 5:13 with the Raven Effect, after the match. Raven announced that Brian Pillman was now the newest member of the Flock. Pillman came out with a microphone and told the crowd that he's back home to WCW and that The Flock was unstoppable and the nWo and The Four Horsemen and everyone in WCW could not do anything about it. Curt Hennig D. Scott Norton at 11:23 with the Hennig Plex. Chris Jericho D. Prince Iaukea at 5:11 to retain the WCW Cruiserweight Title, after the match. Jericho made fun of and insulted Eddie Guerrero's heritage saying that Eddie couldn't beat him at Road Wild and that he's nothing. The Giant and Lex Luger D. The Dungeon of Doom at 7:10 in a Tag Team Match Nitro ended with Hulk Hogan celebrating his 44th Birthday and then took shots at Sting saying that Sting will not take Hogan's title at Starrcade, the rest of the nWo came out and also presented Hogan with presents and birthday cake. Then suddenly the lights went out and in an iconic moment in Nitro History. Sting appeared on the rafters with a crow with the Crow's voice talking for Sting, the lights then cut out again with Sting disappearing and the crow in the ring. The Crow had a standoff with the nWo as Nitro went off the air.

WRESTLING NEWS - August 12. 1997
PILLMAN RETURNS TO WCW, WHAT HAPPENED AT SUMMERSLAM BETWEEN PILLMAN AND MCMAHON? - In a shocking twist and turn of events, after a one-year appearance with the WWF. Brian Pillman walked out of Summerslam after having a heated disagreement with Vince McMahon on his drug use and other stuff. Pillman walked out and took his bag and left the Continental Airlines Arena in where he called Eric Bischoff the next night, he flew a plane to Denver after Road Wild in where Nitro was held, and Pillman was brought back. Rumours stated that he was going to be a part of the nWo but instead he was asked to join Raven's flock. The relationship between Pillman and Bischoff went sour in early 1996 with Pillman leaving WCW. But it seems like Pillman and Bischoff are on good terms, but Bischoff will be keeping a close eye on Brian Pillman and his drug use.
ARN ANDERSON'S IN RING CAREER OVER? - There are reports now saying that Arn Anderson's in ring career is about to wind down and he might be expected to make an announcement on his future next week on Monday Nitro, he and his teammates Ric Flair, Chris Benoit, Jeff Jarrett and Steve McMichael were scheduled to face off with the New World Order at Fall Brawl at WarGames, but Arn Anderson's body has taken a toll on him and there are reports that he will discuss his in ring future on Monday Nitro next week.
STONE COLD TO VACATE THE INTERCONTINENTAL AND TAG TEAM TITLES - In a WWF fax from Sgt. Slaughter, Stone Cold will be forced to vacate the Intercontinental Championship and the Tag Team Championship at Ground Zero. Austin saw a specialist in Philadelphia, a specialist told Austin that he needed to take the rest of August through early October off. Austin is expected to return to the ring in Mid October to wrestle on House Shows, so don't expect him to wrestle anytime soon on TV before the 1997 Survivor Series.
RICK RUDE BACK IN THE WWF - Last Night, another shocker took place in the Wrestling World with Rick Rude making his return to the WWF, This was Rude's first appearance since 1990. His last TV Match was in September of 1990. Rude was scheduled to feud with The Big Bossman, but was released from his contract. Rude wrestled post WWF in WCW and in NJPW. I really like the Shamrock push and how it's been handled! I question having him win with #1 in the Rumble. Like, does that count to Rumble stats? Or is this something separate? It made him look great, no doubt! I just question what it means for actual Royal Rumble stats, if it counts or not. I know Bret just won it, but I would not be against Shamrock winning at Ground Zero, though I could see Shamrock winning by DQ so Bret retains. I like the Kurrgan push. I was hoping he'd make final four of the Rumble.
I really enjoyed reading this and catching up on it tonight! My only gripe is the font size is hard to read for that long. But that's just a me thing. lol My bad eyes can't take that. Other than that it's a fun read! I'm not really familiar with this era, I've never seen 97 so it may take me a little longer to fully get into it and feel something for certain wrestlers but I had a blast reading it!
