Goldust takes a solid win, to send a message to HHH. But, HHH even in 1997 already is a solid threat. So we will only have to wait and see! Bradshaw and Fatu had to have a hard hitting slug fest. Sounds like a real ugly one. Glad to see Bradshaw get the win though. I loved Shawn's promo. I like how does give credit to Vader. We also get some teasers on Austin and Bret in this. This was a real solid promo and I am looking forward to seeing this. Great main event to give a go home to the Rumble. Undertaker is a great threat to the Rumble, But I feel like Brett is going to pull through. Also I am going to have go back in time to your sim to see Taker win that title at WM 9.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I feel like Bret Hart may just may win the Rumble. Possibly Taker? Taker and HBK at Mania only 12 years earlier? HBK vs. Bret the WM rematch. HBK will for sure beat Vader or something dramatic will happen out of it. I for sure feel like Farooq's gonna get Ahmend Owen and Davey boy boy are gonna win and HHH and Goldust is a tossup. But I must feel like HHH will walk away.

WWF ROYAL RUMBLE - January 19. 1997 - The Alamodome
Free For All: Public Enemy D. Bam Bam Bigelow & Skip
Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for the Royal Rumble in the Alamodome in Houston, TX. McMahon says that there are a lot of fans on hand here tonight here in possibly, the star-studded Royal Rumble Event ever.
Before the first match starts, a video clip is shown between Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Goldust in where Goldust got more reaction from the fans, at In Your House while Helmsley was defending the title against Goldust and Marc Mero in a Triple Threat Match, A Mysterious Woman aided Helmsley in retaining the Intercontinental Title, We would find out the woman's name was an amazon woman named Chyna, and the night after that. Chyna would put Marlena out of action, but on Saturday Night's Main Event. Goldust and Marlena had the last laugh with Goldust winning the Intercontinental Title for the second time over Hunter Hearst Helmsley, but tonight is the rematch between Helmsley and Goldust at the 1997 Royal Rumble.
Match 1: WWF Intercontinental Championship Match Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/Chyna vs Goldust w/Marlena For the third time this year at the Royal Rumble, The Intercontinental Championship has kicked off again at the Royal Rumble and it's the reigning champion Goldust battling Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the Intercontinental Title who desperately wants his title back and Goldust wastes no time going right for Helmsley before the bell starts. Goldust then gets in the face of Chyna who stares him down. Goldust begins to dominate the match and tosses Helmsley in the ring while the bell rings. Goldust then tosses Helmsley out of the ring again and slams him into the ringpost. Goldust doesn't care about winning tonight, Goldust can lose the match by DQ or Countout, but he can't lose the championship on that. Helmsley somehow makes a comeback by hitting an atomic drop followed up by a clothesline on Goldust. Both Helmsley and Goldust will be in the 1997 Royal Rumble Match later on tonight as well. Helmsley grabs Goldust and attempts a pedigree but Goldust sends him over the top rope with a back body drop. Goldust continues to dominate Helmsley and tosses him back in the ring. Helmsley eventually rakes the eyes of Goldust and hits a DDT on Goldust. Helmsley goes for the cover but Goldust kicks out at 2. Helmsley continues to dominate the match but Goldust makes a comeback and hits a clothesline on the challenger. Helmsley eventually fights back and knocks Goldust out of the ring with a clothesline. Helmsley goes to the top rope and hits a double axe handle on the outside. Helmsley grabs Goldust and tosses him into the steel steps. Helmsley then tosses Goldust in the ring in where he continues to dominate the match. Helmsley almost gets the win by hitting a spinebuster but Goldust kicks out at 2. Goldust and Helmsley continue to trade momentum and Goldust hits a cross body off the top rope but Helmsley kicks out again at 2. Goldust grabs Helmsley and attempts a suplex but Helmsley hits him with a neckbreaker. Helmsley goes for the cover again but Goldust kicks out at 2. In the middle of the match. Todd Pettengill is standing by with Collin Raye in attendance. Raye tells Pettengill that he is glad the Royal Rumble is here in Texas, his homestate and he doesn't have to be in the East Coast to see it. Pettengill asks Raye who is going to win the Royal Rumble, Raye says he's very associated with The Hart Family, but he thinks his good friend Bret Hart is going to win the match. Pettengill asks Raye if he could sing "Little Rock" for him. Raye does that, but instead changes the lyrics. Back to the match. Helmsley is still in control but Goldust somehow battles back and hits a bulldog on Helmsley. Goldust goes for the coover again but Helmsley kicks out at 2. This has been a back and forth matchup between these two. Goldust heads to the top rope but Helmsley shoves the referee out the way and Goldust is hurt on that top rope. Helmsley goes for the superplex but Goldust headbutts him and Helmsley goes down and Goldust goes to the top rope to attempt an elbow drop but Helmsley rolls out of the way. Chyna then gives Helmsley the Intercontinental Title Belt and then she distracts the referee, but wait there's Marlena. She begs Helmsley not to hit Goldust with the Intercontinental Title. Helmsley doesn't care and plants a kiss on Marlena. Helmsley just forced himself on Marlena. The referee is still distracted with Chyna and Helmsley tries to hit Goldust with the belt but Goldust ducks and Goldust nails him with the title. Goldust goes for the cover, but here comes Chyna. She grabbed Helmsley's foot on the outside and the referee distracts Chyna again and wait Marlena just grabbed Chyna by the legs and Chyna reacts to this and just attacks Marlena. Chyna picks Marlena up and bodyslams her to the concrete meanwhile as Goldust is looking on. Helmsley grabs Goldust and pedigrees him to the mat, Helmsley covers Goldust and gets the win and Helmsley has set a record. He is the first-ever three-time WWF Intercontinental Champion in the history of World Wrestling Federation, but he didn't do it without controversy. He had the help of Chyna with him. But Helmsley can smile now because he is the first-ever three-time WWF Intercontinental Champion, but will he also win the 1997 Royal Rumble as well?. He's not only going to have to go through 28 wrestlers, but Goldust himself. Winner and New WWF Intercontinental Champion: Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Kevin Kelly is standing by with Jesse Ventura who says that there has been controversy all around to kick off the Royal Rumble. Ventura says that no matter what, the win still stands and he has to congratulate Helmsley on winning the WWF Intercontinental Title for the third time. Now, speaking of a title, He has given thought to the WWF Championship Match. Since this is Shawn Michaels's hometown. He has decided to give Shawn a huge advantage in his championship match and that is why Ventura has banned Jim Cornette from ringside, and also. Shawn and Vader's match for the WWF Championship has been changed to a No Disqualifaction, No Countout Match. No stopping the match for blood loss, there's gotta be a winner by pinfall or submission. Cornette then comes in and starts to scream at Ventura for banning him from ringside. Cornette says that Vader doesn't care what the rules are, he's going to destroy Shawn Michaels's hopes and dreams of being the WWF Champion again just like he did at Summerslam & Buried Alive. So Vader doesn't care what type of match the WWF commissioner can throw at him, the only thing that matters is that Vader will walk in and out of the Royal Rumble as the WWF Champion and will do the exact same thing at WrestleMania. Ventura says that not only Cornette is being a loudmouth, but he has decided to bar Cornette from the building just in case he intereferes in the match. Ventura asks security's finest to take Cornette out of the Alamodome and they do. It looks like Jim Cornette is leaving the Alamodome early and the Royal Rumble just got started.
Match 2: WWF Tag Team Championship Match The Legion of Doom vs Owen Hart and British Bulldog The Legion of Doom returned at the 1996 Survivor Series and their goal was the WWF Tag Team Championship and that's what they are looking for here tonight, Owen and Bulldog haven't gotten on the same page so that could come in as a huge advantage for the Legion of Doom. Animal starts the match off with Owen and just tosses Owen around like a ragdoll giving The Legion of Doom a huge advantage in the matchup, and while The Legion of Doom are dominating the match, we see Mosh and Thrasher in the stands, The Headbangers. They are set to debut here in the WWF real soon. Owen and Bulldog take the match back in their favor but a miscommunicated dropkick causes them to have more problems, but they get back on the same page and that gives The Legion of Doom to make a huge comeback in this match, but as they set to hit the Doomsday Device on Owen. Bulldog lets Owen free and Hawk gets out of the top rope but Owen surprises him with an enziguri and Bulldog nails Animal with the Running Powerslam to get the victory and retain the WWF Tag Team Championship again. Despite the miscommunication, you have to admit. Owen and Bulldog have worked well as a team. Winners and Still WWF Tag Team Champions: Owen Hart and British Bulldog
A video package is shown between Ahmed Johnson and Faarooq that has gone all the way through 10 months, it all started at WrestleMania 12 when Ahmed Johnson won the Intercontinental Championship and Faarooq making his debut and also winding up putting Ahmed on the shelf and thus Ahmed was forced to vacate the Intercontinental Championship due to an injury by The Nation of Domination but at Season's Beatings II. Ahmed won a gauntlet match to get this match against Faarooq at the 1997 Royal Rumble.
Match 3: Ahmed Johnson vs Faarooq w/The Nation of Domination It looks like Ahmed may need a miracle here tonight as Faarooq has brought the Public Enemy, Crush, Slick, Mabel and some others associated with The Nation of Domination. Ahmed gets in the ring and starts to attack Faarooq and Ahmed wants redemption for what Faarooq has done to him for the past ten months. Ahmed dominates Faarooq and knocks him over the top rope with a clothesline and Ahmed hits a plancha taking Faarooq down. Ahmed tosses Faarooq in the ring. Faarooq rakes the eyes and goes for a clothesline but Ahmed hits a clothesline of his own and tosses Faarooq out of the ring in where he throws him into the steel steps not once, but twice and look at this. Faarooq is closer to the Nation of Domination. Faarooq grabs one member into Ahmed and shoves him into Ahmed and that allows Faarooq to nail Ahmed with a clothesline and Faarooq tosses Ahmed in the ring and begins to go to work on the kidneys of Ahmed and Faarooq grabs a steel chair and look at this, the referee is distracted by Slick and Faarooq hits Ahmed in the kidneys with that steel chair and that has gotta be it. That has to be it for good this time. Faarooq goes for the cover but Ahmed kicks out at 2. Faarooq then goes for the kidneys again of Ahmed but Ahmed begins to fight back and nails Faarooq with a DDT. But can Ahmed capitalize?. Ahmed heads to the top rope and hits a diving clothesline on Faarooq. Ahmed goes for the cover again but Faarooq kicks out again. Ahmed whips Faarooq into the ropes and hits a back body drop. Faarooq then fights back and goes to the top rope but Ahmed catches him with a powerslam and it looks like he could be going for the Pearl River Plunge, Ahmed whips Faarooq into the ropes but Faarooq reverses it and hits a spinebuster on Ahmed. Faarooq goes for the cover again but Ahmed kicks out at 2. Faarooq then taunts and thinks he's won but then Ahmed gets up and hits Faarooq with a spinebuster and wait a minute, here comes Mabel. Ahmed then hits him with right hands and The Public Enemy are here as well and the referee has to call for the bell. Winner By DQ: Ahmed Johnson
Faarooq's merceneries have hit the ring but Ahmed is fighting them off one by one and Ahmed is standing tall. Another mercenary of the Nation of Domination tries to come in but Ahmed hits him with a spinebuster. Ahmed tosses him out of the ring and look at this, Faarooq has taken some of his Nation of Domination crew out of the ring and that mercenarie from The Nation of Domination better be praying for his life. Ahmed picks him up and tosses him into the steel steps and Ahmed grabs him and hits the Pearl River Plunge on the Steel Steps. Ahmed may have not gotten his redemption here tonight, but he may have got a bit of it, but you can bet this rivalry between Ahmed and Faarooq is not over.
Dok Hendrix interviews Bret Hart about the Royal Rumble Match. Bret says that he's been a legend in this Royal Rumble Match, the last time he was in the Royal Rumble was in 1994, Last Year, he won the WWF Championship from Vader and this year he plans on winning the Royal Rumble, Bret says that there's a lot of people are talking about that he's a marked man in this match, he's always been a marked man and there is no turning back, he's already taken too many steps and there will be no stopping the excellence of execution. Bret says that he doesn't care that Stone Cold enters #1. And doesn't care that if Mankind enters #30. All he is doing is planning on going to WrestleMania and beat whoever the WWF Champion is and that's the bottom line.
Todd Pettengill stands by with Faarooq and just as Slick begins to tell Pettengill that the war isn't over. Faarooq cuts him off and says that it's the beginning and says that he's going to throw Ahmed Johnson over the Royal Rumble and he's going down just like Faarooq planned for him and he's going on to WrestleMania 13 to become the first-ever african american World Wrestling Federation Champion and then calls Ahmed uncle Tom.

Kevin Kelly first interviews Shawn Michaels. Kelly asks Michaels with this no disqualifaction stipulation intact, does that give him a huge advantage in his hometown. Michaels says that it certainly does, Vader's the toughest son of a gun in the World Wrestling Federation and he proved that at Summerslam and Buried Alive, but tonight. There's no stopping the match, just as Jesse Ventura said. There will be No Disqualifactions and No Countouts, and a winner has to be won and that man is the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. Just before Shawn makes his entrance. Sycho Sid bumps into him and these two haven't seen eye to eye lately. Sid and Michaels then stare at each other and shake hands and hug with Sid telling Shawn good luck.
Match 4: World Wrestling Federation Championship Match Shawn Michaels vs Vader Shawn Michaels has waited 5 long months to get the World Wrestling Federation Championship back in his waist, he earned the right to win an elimination match at the 1996 Survivor Series, and now with No Jim Cornette, Vader's all alone, and this match is No Disqualifaction and No Countouts meaning there must be a winner. Shawn begins to hammer away at Vader just as soon as the bell rang. Shawn whips Vader into the ropes but Vader reverses it and Shawn hits a flying forearm taking the champion down and Shawn runs off the ropes and hits a clothesline knocking Vader over the rope. Shawn then runs off the ropes and hits a beautiful diving somersault taking the champion down. Shawn wants the World Wrestling Federation Championship back again. Shawn begins to punch away at Vader while he's down. Shawn's friends and family even his mother and father are here tonight in attendance. Shawn takes Vader and shows him his family and Shawn's Family begin to yell at Vader and look at this, all the family are beating up on Vader. Lawler screams that this is unfair. Michaels tosses Vader back in the ring and Michaels heads to the top rope and hits a double axe handle knocking the champion down. Michaels goes for the cover but Vader kicks out at 2. Michaels then throws Vader into the buckle and Michaels climbs untop of Vader and starts to punch him ten times but Vader throws him down and Vader charges at Shawn with a huge clothesline knocking the challenger down. Vader picks up Shawn and goes to press slam him to the mat but Shawn gets out of it and attempts a sunset flip but Vader grabs him by the throat and lifts him up for a lifting chokehold and Shawn goes down hard by that. Vader begins to beat on Shawn and then looks under the ring and Vader's got a steel chair and Vader attempts to hit Shawn in the head with the chair, but Shawn ducks and the chair hits the ropes and it even hits Vader in the face. Shawn runs off the ropes and hits a cross body and a few punches taking down Vader. Shawn is not giving Vader any kind of offense. Nornally it would be Vader dominating the match, but this is Shawn's hometown and he isn't backing down here. Vader eventually fights back and surprises Shawn with a chokeslam. Vader goes for the cover but Shawn kicks out at 2. Vader begins to dominate the match and takes a leather strap that he had in his pocket and begins to whip Shwan a few times with it. Vader then takes the strap and tosses Shawn over the top rope and look Vader has that belt and just drags Shawn as if he was a dog. Vader then chokes Shawn with the belt and Shawn uses a jawbreaker to stop the momentum but Shawn gets knocked down again with another clothesline. Vader runs off the ropes and hits a leg drop on Shawn. Vader goes for the cover but Shawn once again kicks out at 2. Vader whips Shawn into the buckle and throws several body shots at Shawn. Shawn is doing some smart strategy to cover up against Vader. Shawn blocks another body shot and hits Vader with a few right hands and Shawn runs off the ropes only for Vader to hit him with a powerslam. Vader then punches away at Shawn and also begins to choke him out. Vader whips Shawn into the buckle with so much force that Vader knocks him back down again with another clothesline. Vader tosses Shawn out of the ring. Vader begins to beat on Shawn and grabs him by the hair as he begins to scream at Shawn's family. Shawn's family try to lunge at Vader but Vader ducks and laughs at them. Vader scoops up Shawn and slams him into the barricade right infront of his family. Vader also grabs Shawn and takes him into the ringpost and tosses him back in the ring. Vader then gets in the ring and picks up Shawn telling Shawn he's nothing and Vader continues to slap Shawn around and Vader kicks Shawn in the gut and goes for a powerbomb but Shawn fights out of it and runs off the ropes and hits a dropkick and Vader does not go down. Shawn runs off the ropes again and hits another dropkick and Vader won't go down. Shawn heads to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick and finally Vader is knocked off his feet. Shawn then picks up the leather belt Vader used and Shawn begins to whip him a lot of times with it. Shawn then whips Vader into the ropes and hits him in the face with the leather belt. Shawn then begins to choke Vader with the belt and this is what similar to what Vader did. Shawn then grabs Vader by the leg and look at this Shawn is going for the figure-four leg lock, Shawn is using desperate moves to become the WWF Champion here for the second time here tonight. Vader eventually fights out of it and Shawn chops away at Vader. Michaels then whips Vader off the ropes again but Vader reverses it and Michaels nails another flying forearm and kips up again. Michaels then grabs the steel chair Vader attempted to use and Michaels immediately hits him in the head with it and the champion goes down. Michaels begins to rip the mask off of Vader and punches away at him and look at this Vader has been busted open here by The Heartbreak Kid. Michaels then knocks Vader out of the ring with a clothesline and Shawn goes back to the top rope and hits an outstanding moonsault on Vader. Shawn is just getting his second wind, but can he become the World Wrestling Federation Champion for the second time here tonight?. Shawn then takes Vader into the steel steps with so much intensity that Vader had to break his hip. Shawn then takes off the padding on the concrete and Shawn kicks Vader in the gut and goes for a piledriver or powerbomb but Vader backdrops Shawn on the concrete. Vader then grabs Shawn and puts him back in the ring and Vader whips Shawn into the ropes and goes for a back body drop but Shawn knees him in the face and Shawn punches away at Vader and whips him into the buckle but Vader reverses it and Shawn does a headstand on the top rope and connects with a diving moonsault taking the champion down. Shawn goes for the cover but Vader kicks out at 2. Shawn chops away at Vader and whips him into the ropes again and goes for a back body drop but Vader kicks him in the face and Vader goes for a clothesline but Shawn ducks it and hits a clothesline knocking the champ down. Shawn grabs Vader and hits him with a bodyslam and Vader's gotta be 450 pounds but the way Shawn picked him up was unbelievable. Shawn then places the steel chair right on Vader's face and what is Shawn going to do here?. Shawn then hits a diving elbow drop on the chair into Vader's face. Shawn goes for the cover again and Shawn gets the chair off and it could be Sweet Chin Music time. Shawn begins to tune up the band and just as he goes for Sweet Chin Music. Vader hits him with a right hand knocking the challenger and it may have knocked some of his teeth out. Vader scoops up Michaels and slams him to the mat and Vader goes to the top rope and hits a beautiful moonsault on the downed challenger. Vader goes for the cover but shockingly Michaels kicks out, I thought Michaels was gone. Vader then goes outside the ring and starts to upend the steel steps. Shawn then suddenly gets to his feet and surprises Vader with another suicide dive and that suicide dive knocked off the French Announce Table. Shawn and Vader are pulling out all the stops here in Shawn's hometown. Shawn and Vader get back to their feet and Vader goes for a right hand but Shawn ducks and hits the champion with Sweet Chin Music. But Shawn's gotta get the champion in the ring, so he can cover him and win the title. Shawn drags Vader's lifeless body and this has gotta be it. One way or the other. Shawn's going to win the Championship here at the Royal Rumble in his hometown. Shawn starts to cover Vader but Vader kicks out at 2. Vader kicks out once again at 2. Vader kicks out of the first Sweet Chin Music. Shawn then gets Vader up and Shawn hits a right hand and look Vader hits another right hand and both men are exchanging bombs, it looks like Gunshots are going off in San Antonio again. Shawn runs off the ropes only to meet a big kick by Vader and Vader picks up Shawn and powerbombs him to the mat. Vader goes for the cover but Shawn kicks out at 2 again. How are these two still doing this?. Vader gets out of the ring and picks up the steel steps and is Vader going to use them on Shawn?. Vader then tosses the steps back in the ring and attempts to hit Shawn with the stairs but Shawn hits him with a drop toe hold and Vader falls into the stairs. Shawn then grabs the steel chair and hits Vader in the head with it, Shawn may have decapitated the champion here. Shawn then tunes up the band once again and can he go for Sweet Chin Music again?. And just as Shawn hits it, Someone grabs Shawn by the legs, who did that?. The camera pans to reveal Sycho Sid!. What?. Sycho Sid enters the ring and Shawn starts to wonder why Sid would do that. Sid begins to laugh and starts to attack Shawn. Sid then picks him up and nails Shawn with the jackknife powerbomb, the fans begin to boo and pelt trash at Sycho Sid. Sid then leaves the ring and Vader is still on his feet. Vader then goes to the top rope and hits the knocked out challenger with the Vader Bomb and Vader covers Shawn to get the win and with help from Sycho Sid. Vader has left San Antonio with a bad taste in their mouth as he has broken the hearts of not only Shawn Michaels, but for San Antonio Fans by retaining the WWF Title. Winner and Still WWF Champion: Vader
The referee starts to hand Vader the belt and Sycho Sid is still outside laughing, last year. Vader didn't walk out the Royal Rumble with the WWF Championship, but this year. Vader has remained the WWF Champion at the Royal Rumble and now he has until WrestleMania 13 to see whoever he faces. Vader begins to stare down Sid and Sid continues to do his business and Sid enters the ring and many think he's going to hit Shawn again, but instead he spits in his face and grabs him by the hair telling him they were never friends and Shawn's the only one obsessed with the spotlight, not Sycho Sid. Sid then picks up Shawn and powerbombs him again to the mat. The Commentators but Lawler are upset at the actions of Sycho Sid. Why has Sycho Sid done this?. Why has Sycho Sid turned on Shawn Michaels?. Sid begins to leave the ring and starts laughing and even laughs at Shawn's family as well and then looks at the cameraman saying it's his time, not Shawn's time. Shawn then gets to his feet as the referee helps him up and Shawn begins to sit on one of the corner turnbuckles and holds his head high, Shawn was this close on becoming a 2-time WWF Champion, but a friendship screwed him over, and now with Vader as Champion. Shawn can never wrestle for the WWF Championship again. The Boyhood Dream that began last year with Shawn winning the 1996 Royal Rumble has now faded away. Shawn then leaves the ring with the San Antonio Fans cheering him on.
A promo is shown of another In Your House Called: No Way Out on February 16, 1997.
The Commentators talk about what just happened between the WWF Championship Match and Sycho Sid's shocking betrayal of Shawn Michaels. Lawler says that he's changed his pick and he has it on good authority that Sid is going to win the Royal Rumble. And speaking of the Royal Rumble, the commentators take us to the superstars.

Before the Royal Rumble starts, Howard Finkel gives us an announcement, he goes on to say that WrestleMania 3 set an attendance record of 93,173, but tonight. The Royal Rumble's Attendance at the Alamodome is 60,477. Finkel then talks about the Royal Rumble Match and goes over the rules as usual.
Match 5: 30-Man Royal Rumble Match
#1. Steve Austin
Well we all knew who drew #1 and he said that he was going to go all the way to defeat 29 superstars at this spot, the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin in his homestate of Texas. San Antonio is 2 hours away from Austin's hometown, and no doubt The Rattlesnake will make history by becoming the first man to go all the way to win the Royal Rumble as the #1 entrant. British Bulldog came close in 1994, but can Stone Cold win it all?. #2. Rocky Maivia
Now this is very interesting, the Royal Rumble is kicking off in a big way with Rocky Maivia making his first ever Royal Rumble Debut but not the number he wanted to draw as he drew #2, Who knows Rocky could go all the way too. And this is the first member of the Maivia Family that has entered the Royal Rumble Match. Austin wastes no time going after Maivia as the bell rings, and this is one on one, Austin and Maivia, the first two men have started out the match, and in 2 minutes, another competitor will enter the match. Austin whips Maivia into the ropes but Maivia reverses it and hits an armdrag takedown followed by a dropkick and Maivia whips Austin into the buckle and nails a high back body drop. Maivia grabs Austin and has him on the ropes, he may eliminate Austin early but Austin hangs on and Austin hits Maivia with a few right hands and tosses him over the top but Maivia puts on the brakes and thrusts his shoulders into Austin's chest and goes to the top rope nailing him with a cross body and it is time for our third entrant. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#3. Hayabusa
And it's Hayabusa, the face of FMW making his one-time WWF appearance, from Japanese. Hayabusa begins to attack Maivia and Austin. Hayabusa made his wrestling debut in 1987. Hayabusa whips Maivia into the ropes and hits a dropkick and Hayabusa kicks away at Austin and Austin fights off Hayabusa and whips him into the ropes but Hayabusa reverses it and delivers a hurricanrana to Austin. Hayabusa also nails Maivia with a jumping back kick. Hayabusa then nails a springboard moonsault on Austin as well. Maivia gets up and hammers away at Hayabusa and whips him into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Hayabusa ducks and hits a full nelson slam on Maivia. And now the countdown is on, 10. 9..8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#4. British Bulldog
It's The British Bulldog entering at #4. The last time Bulldog entered a Rumble this early was in 1994 when he almost went all the way as the #1 entrant. Bulldog begins to go to work on Austin and these two have had personal issues with one another while Maivia and Hayabusa are going at it. Bulldog tries to eliminate Austin but Austin hangs on. Austin then nails Bulldog with a few right hands and tries to charge at Bulldog with a clothesline but Bulldog hits a clothesline of his own. Bulldog then begins to attack Hayabusa and Bulldog and Hayabusa exchange right hands with Bulldog getting the better of them and Bulldog nails Hayabusa with a big clothesline, what a knock down by Bulldog. Bulldog whips Hayabusa into the ropes and Bulldog hits a military press slam dropping Hayabusa down to the canvas. Austin sneaks up behind Bulldog and tries to eliminate him but Bulldog elbows him in the face. Bulldog then attempts a running powerslam on Austin but Austin chop blocks the leg of Bulldog and that will slow The Bulldog down, and here comes another entrant. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#5. Bradshaw
Here comes another big, bad texan making his Royal Rumble Debut as well. Bradshaw enters the ring and goes to work on everybody. He is a house of fire. Bradshaw whips Hayabusa into the ropes and nails him with a big boot and does the same thing to Austin. Hayabusa gets to his feet and chops away at Bradshaw and Hayabusa charges at Bradshaw with a clothesline but Bradshaw ducks and sends Hayabusa over the top rope with a clothesline and Hayabusa is the first man eliminated by Bradshaw, but wait a minute Maivia sneaks up behind Bradshaw and eliminates him. So Hayabusa and Bradshaw are the first two men eliminated.

It is now back down to three as Austin, Bulldog and Rocky battle it out for now. Bulldog begins to go to work on Rocky in the corner while Austin just sits back and waits for the next competitor to enter and he won't have to wait long, 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#6. Goldust
Just moments after losing the Intercontinental Championship, Goldust looks to get things back on track and Austin spots him and goes to work on him but Goldust nails Austin with an atomic drop and whips him into the ropes and hits a clothesline. Goldust then hammers away at Bulldog and whips him into the ropes and hits a back elbow. Goldust made his Royal Rumble debut last year, his father Dusty wrestled in the Royal Rumble Match in 1990. Austin gets back up and gets in a slugfest with Maivia, Austin and Maivia are still in this thing and this is anyone's ballgame here, we have 3 more superstars left here in the first thirds away in the Royal Rumble. Bulldog then tries to eliminate Goldust but Goldust is still hanging in there. Another participant is on it's way next. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#7. Crush
The newest member of the Nation of Domination, Crush entering the Royal Rumble at #7, in all these previous Rumbles, he's had a higher number, but tonight his number is low as he enters at #7. Crush then goes to work on Goldust and tries to eliminate him. Bulldog then hammers away at Maivia and Austin gets involved in the action hammering away at Crush but Crush nails him with a kick to the face and Crush tries to eliminate Austin but Austin hangs on. Crush has been in the final four three times. 1993, 1994 and 1995. But he wasn't in the final four last year. Maivia and Goldust team up to hammer away at Crush and whip Crush into the ropes but Crush nails a double clothesline on both men. This Crush is one individual you do not need to mess with. #8. Tajiri
Making his WWF Debut is Tajiri from Japan and let's see what he can do. Tajiri hits an apron cross body on Maivia and that's a really impressive way making your debut here in the Royal Rumble. Bulldog charges at Tajiri and whips him into the ropes but Tajiri hits a handspring apron elbow on Bulldog. Lawler predicts that Tajiri may win this thing. Austin hammers away at Tajiri and goes for a right hand but Tajiri ducks and hits a superkick on Austin. Crush then surprises Tajiri with a right hand and goes for a press slam but Tajiri rolls out of it and nails a dropkick taking the big man off his feet. Tajiri then chops away at Goldust and Tajiri is on a roll here. Austin then sneaks up behind Tajiri and hammers away at him and whips him into the ropes but Tajiri hits a spinning heel kick knocking Austin down. Maivia and Bulldog are still fighting as well. #9. Fatu
Entering at #9 is Fatu, Last Year, he was attacked by Vader and took his Rumble Spot, but this year. Fatu is officially in this match and he wastes no time going right for everyone in this match. The Ring is starting to fill up. Fatu hits a superkick on Austin and does the same thing to Bulldog. Fatu picks up Maivia and tries to eliminate him but Maivia hangs on. We know the story that Fatu and Maivia are relatives, but it's every man for himself. Do not forget about it, there are no friends in this match and there shouldn't. Tajiri attempts a move on Austin but Austin ducks and sends Tajiri flying out of the ring with a clothesline, what an impressive performance by Tajiri, but Tajiri will not be winning the Royal Rumble in his first WWF Match.

Another texan making his way to the Rumble and it's Billy Gunn alongside with him is the Honky Tonk Man. Billy wastes no time going right to work on Bulldog. The ring is filled back up with seven men in the ring. Austin hammers away at Goldust and tries to eliminate him but Goldust hangs on. These guys want it very badly, We have seen three men already been eliminated, but this ring continues to fill right back up. Billy tries to eliminate Maivia but Maivia hangs on. Austin also hammers away at Fatu but Fatu fights back and nails him with a headbutt and Billy surprises Fatu with a big, running clothesline. #11. Hunter Hearst Helmsley
It's the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Hunter Hearst Helmsley entering at #11. Last year he entered at #30, and tonight. He made history by becoming the first man to become the first-ever three-time WWF Intercontinental Champion. Helmsley wastes no time going right for Goldust. 8 Men are now in the ring. This is getting crazy here. Helmsley and Goldust exchange blows with one another and if you thought their encounter earlier tonight was bad. Then think again. Helmsley whips Goldust into the ropes and hits a high knee on Goldust. Helmsley tries to eliminate Goldust but Maivia helps Goldust and Maivia and Goldust go to work on Helmsley at the same time. But Goldust turns on Maivia and punches away at him. Helmsley then goes to work on Fatu and tries to eliminate him but Fatu hangs on, and here comes the next entrant. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#12. Jake Roberts
Here comes another veteran, Jake "The Snake" Roberts entering at #12, he didn't bring the snake and that's a good thing. Roberts goes to work on Austin, remember what happened at the 1996 King of The Ring. Roberts hits a clothesline knocking Austin down and hammers away at Helmsley as well. Austin and Maivia have been in the Rumble for 13 minutes. Roberts tries to eliminate Helmsley but Helmsley hangs on. We have 9 men in the ring right now. Austin is just watching the chaos unfold and there is a lot of chaos. Crush tries to eliminate Fatu but Fatu hangs on again and #13 is on his way, 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#13. Hawk
One half of the Legion of Doom. Hawk, Hawk enters the ring and goes to work on Bulldog. Hawk hasn't forgotten about the Tag Team Title Match earlier on tonight. Roberts and Maivia team up to go after Crush. We had 3 men eliminated, but so far nobody has been eliminated. This is the longest the ring has filled up. Austin grabs Fatu and tosses him over the top rope to the floor cleanly.

Austin then goes right to work on Goldust who is still occupied on Helmsley. Helmsley and Austin team up against Goldust but Austin begins to turn on Helmsley and hammers away at him. #14. Tiger Ali Singh
Here comes another debuter and it's Tiger Ali Singh. Tiger Ali Singh wastes no time going after Bulldog. Tiger's managers, Iron Sheik and Bob Backlund were former WWF Champions. Backlund entered the 1994 Royal Rumble Matchup as well, but this is Tiger's first appearance, he is the fifth man that is debuting this Rumble Match tonight, but he doesn't last long as Bulldog immediately tosses him out with ease.

And that is the fifth man eliminated in the Royal Rumble Match here tonight. But look at this. Goldust has suddenly eliminated Hunter Hearst Helmsley, revenge for earlier tonight. But Austin sneaks up behind Goldust and eliminates him. So both Hunter and Goldust have been eliminated But they begin to brawl on the outside.

Last year, he was in the final 2 as the #7 entrant, in 1994, he entered at #2 for 50 minutes, so he is the Royal Rumble Ironman. Owen gets in the ring and helps Bulldog go to work on Crush. Owen and Bulldog go to work on everyone in this match. Owen and Bulldog grab Hawk and toss him over the top rope to the floor.

Ahmed hammers away at everyone except for The Snake. Ahmed whips Owen into the ropes and hits a spinebuster and hits a press slam on Bulldog and exchanges blows with Austin. We are back down to six. Ahmed tries to eliminate Bulldog but Owen saves Bulldog from Ahmed and both men team up on Ahmed. Owen and Bulldog whip Ahmed into the ropes but Ahmed hits a double clothesline knocking both men down. Ahmed is on a roll here, but another competitor is on it's own. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#17. Faarooq
Well this comes as a surprise, Ahmed who just entered at #16 and his opponent just earlier tonight has entered at #17, but where is Faarooq?. Just as Ahmed waits for Faarooq, look Faarooq sneaks up from behind Ahmed and suddenly eliminates him. Faarooq just put in a sneak elimination and Ahmed gets to his feet and stares down Faarooq screaming at him but just as Faarooq continues to talk trash to Ahmed. Maivia sneaks up from behind Faarooq and eliminates him.

And now it's back down to 5. Roberts, Austin. Hart. Bulldog and Owen, Roberts tries to set up for a DDT on Austin but Austin ducks and knocks Roberts out of the ring with a clothesline.

Bulldog starts to come over on Austin and tries to eliminate him but wait a minute, Owen grabs Bulldog and eliminates him. Owen just blindsided his own-brother-in-law. Owen tells Bulldog that he's sorry, but look at this. Austin grabs Owen and tosses him over the top rope to the floor.

It's Bart Gunn entering the Rumble at #18. Another Texan. Gunn goes to work on Austin and Maivia. Gunn whips Austin into the ropes but Austin reverses it and Gunn hits a modified rocker dropper on Austin and does the same thing to Maivia. Gunn charges at Austin but Austin eliminates Bart. Austin is cleaning house here tonight, This is Austin's sixth elimination here tonight.

Maivia hammers away at Austin and throws hard right hands at him and whips him into the ropes but Austin reverses it and hits a back elbow on Maivia. Austin tries to eliminate Maivia but Maivia again hangs on, Austin and Maivia have both been in the match for 30 minutes. This is similar to what Bulldog and Owen did in 1994. #19. Yokozuna
And entering his fourth Royal Rumble is the former WWF Champion Yokozuna entering at #19. Yokozuna's partner Fatu was eliminated by Austin. So Yokozuna wastes no time in going after Austin. Yoko whips Austin into the ropes and hits a big clothesline. And Yoko goes to work on Maivia and Yoko whips Maivia into the ropes and tries for a clothesline but Maivia ducks and hammers away at Yokozuna but Yokozuna blocks a right hand and grabs Maivia and hits him with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Yoko then hits a leg drop on Maivia and now Austin hammers away at Yokozuna and Austin tries to eliminate Yokozuna but Yokozuna is too big, you might need a forklift to get him over the top rope. Yoko shoves Austin down to the mat and here comes Rocky in to help Austin. Rocky & Austin both simulteanously team up on Yokozuna and look at this, they can't get Yokozuna over the top rope. #20. Sycho Sid
And the fans begin to boo big time for Sycho Sid because of what happened earlier tonight when he cost Shawn Michaels the WWF Championship. Sid then goes to work on Yokozuna and look at Sid he's got Yokozuna by the throat and he has him by the legs and eliminates him with ease. Sid just eliminated Yokozuna and he didn't have nobody's help. You may not like what he did to Shawn Michaels earlier tonight, but you gotta admit that was impressive to what he did to Yokozuna.

Sid goes to work on both Maivia and Austin and Austin hammers away at Sid but Sid blocks it and chokeslams Austin to the mat and does the same thing to Maivia. Sid begins to taunt at the crowd as they are beginning to boo. #21. Animal
It's another member of The Legion of Doom, Animal. Animal gets in the ring and attacks Austin. Animal whips Austin into the ropes and hits a shoulder block taking Austin down. Animal hammers away at Austin and whips him into the ropes nailing him with a powerslam and Animal charges at Austin but Austin tosses him over the top rope to the floor and Animal got eliminated very quickly before he entered the ring.

#22. Mil Mascaras
Mil Mascaras, a Texas Legend making his one-time WWF Appearance, he made his debut in 1965, but could he win the Royal Rumble at the age of 55?. Mascaras begins to hammer away at Austin, but you gotta hand it to Maivia and Austin, they have both been in the match longer than anybody. Austin has dominated the Royal Rumble eliminating 7 men. Austin whips Mascaras into the ropes but Mascaras hits him with a chop and Sid charges at Mascaras only for Mascaras to nail him with right hands. Mascaras takes down Sid with a dropkick and heads to the top rope and nails him with a cross body taking him down. What a beautiful manuever on the part of Mil Mascaras. Maivia then goes at it with Mascaras and Mascaras hits a tigerplex on Maivia. And now it's time for another entrant. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#23. Bret Hart
It is Austin's worst nightmare now as Bret Hart is here as the #23 entrant. Bret and Austin begin to exchange blows with one another and JR says "It's like Hell Fire and Brimstone when these two are together" And That's a different agreement. Bret gets the better of the blows and knocks down Austin and hits Rocky with a right hand as well and does the same thing to Mascaras as well and hits Sid with a few right hands. Bret then grabs Mascaras and nails him with an atomic drop followed up with a clothesline. Austin then sneaks up from behind Bret and tries to go for a Stunner but Bret counters it and attempts the sharpshooter on Austin and he has it locked in but Austin gets out of it and Bret nails him with a clothesline. #24. Marc Mero
A Former WWF Intercontinental Champion making his Royal Rumble Debut as well. Marc Mero, he wastes no time going right for Sycho Sid. Mero hammers away at Sid and the ring is filling right back up again. Bret and Austin continue to exchange blows with one another, we have 6 more entries left. Mero and Maivia team up against Sid and hit a double dropkick in which they successfully do so. Mero then turns on Maivia and both men get into a slugfest. Maivia and Austin have both been in the ring for 45 minutes. You have to hand it to Maivia, he debuted 2 months ago at Survivor Series, but for him to last 45 minutes is impressive. Austin and Bret are still exchanging blows with one another. Bret tries to eliminate Austin but Austin hangs on again. And we got another competitor on the way. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#25. Brian Christopher
Brian Christopher also is making his Royal Rumble Debut as he enters at #25 and he begins to go to work on his old rival Rocky Maivia, the Royal Rumble has filled up very intently here, what a Rumble this has been, and it's not close to being over, 5 entries are left, we have Flash Funk, Terry Funk, Mankind, The Undertaker and Jushin Thunder Liger left. And we know Mankind is the #30 entrant. Maivia and Bret then begin to go at it. Bret picks up Maivia and tries to eliminate Maivia but Maivia hangs on. Sid then breaks up and goes right for Bret. Sid whips Bret into the ropes and goes for a big boot but Bret gets a break from the ropes. Sid charges at Bret only for The Hitman to surprise him with a clothesline knocking Sid over the top rope to the floor, that gets a huge response from the crowd.

#26. Flash Funk
And the debuts keep on coming as Flash Funk enters at #26. Flash wastes no time going right to work on Austin, the ring is filling up once more. We have 4 men to go. Austin and Maivia have continued to stay on for the longest amount of time and if they make it to #30. Then they will have made history by lasting #1 and #2 in the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match. #27. The Undertaker
Obviously, the odds on favorite. The Undertaker drawing a huge number, #27. He won the 1993 Royal Rumble, but can he be the second man to win it at #27. The last time anyone won the Royal Rumble at #27 was Big John Studd in 1989. Undertaker enters the ring and goes to work on everyone. Taker grabs Mero and tosses him over the top rope to the floor.
MARC MERO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Christopher tries to hammer away at Undertaker but Undertaker grabs Christopher by the throat and chokeslams him to the mat. Undertaker then picks him up and tosses him over the top rope with ease. The Deadman is cleaning house right away.
BRIAN CHRISTOPHER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Maivia comes at Undertaker and hammers away at him with right hands but Undertaker kicks him in the face and grabs Bret and punches away at him, remember the storied history between these two. Mascaras then goes to work on Undertaker but Undertaker hits him with a uppercut. Undertaker making complete dominance, last year he entered the Rumble at #1 and lasted 40 minutes until being eliminated by Vader. Austin slows Undertaker's momentum down by nailing him with a stunner. And here comes another entrant, 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
#28. Terry Funk
It's Terry Funk entering at #28. Funk who made his Royal Rumble Debut last year at #4 could possibly win it in his homestate. Funk begins to hammer away at Austin. And aids Flash in fighting The Undertaker. The Funks go to work on The Undertaker and whip Taker into the ropes and nail him with a double clothesline. 7 men are still remaining, Mil Mascaras is still in there as well. So you gotta hand it to him too, hanging in there with the new and current WWF Superstars. Austin then gets up and fights with Mascaras in the corner. #29. Jushin Thunder Liger
What a late draw he got as Jushin Thunder Liger is entrant #29. Liger begins to hammer away at Mascaras, there's 8 men remaining left. Liger and Mascaras exchange blows with one another, Austin and Rocky may have set a record here tonight, they are now lasting 50 minutes in this match. Give your hat off to both these men. Liger hits a cross body on Mascaras on the top rope. Bret then hammers away at Terry in the corner and picks Terry up and nails a backbreaker taking him down. #30. Mankind
He won the #30 spot Last Monday Night on RAW. Mankind and he wastes no time going after his old rival The Undertaker, if you recall Saturday Night's Main Event, both Mankind and Undertaker competed in the Last Man Standing Match. Undertaker fights back against Mankind and whips him into the ropes and goes for a back body drop but Mankind piledrives him to the mat, 9 men are left. Which one of these 9 are headed to WrestleMania 13?. Mankind then hammers away at Terry Funk, the man who Mankind put through a barbedwire board & thumbtacks as well. Liger tries to eliminate Mascaras but Mascaras grabs Liger and both men try to eliminate each other but here comes Mankind. He gets both Liger and Mascaras out at the same time.
JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER AND MIL MASCARAS HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED
7 men are left, Flash Funk, Terry Funk, Stone Cold, Rocky Maivia, The Undertaker, Bret Hart and Mankind, and Austin and Maivia have made history lasting #1 and #2 together at the same time. Flash charges at Bret only for Bret to toss him out of the ring with a back body drop. What an effort by Flash Funk, but he is out.
FLASH FUNK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
And we got six men left, Maivia. Undertaker. Funk. Bret. Mankind and Austin. The six men go at it for a good four minutes. Funk charges at Mankind but Mankind ducks and sends him out of the ring with a hiptoss and Terry Funk has been eliminated.
TERRY FUNK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
And now we are down to 5, but not for long as Undertaker knocks Mankind out of the ring with a big boot and Bret also eliminates Maivia, a great effort for Maivia tonight, but he is gone.
MANKIND AND ROCKY MAIVIA HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED
And now it is down to three, Austin, Bret and Undertaker, but wait a minute the referees are distracted by Terry Funk and Mankind fighting. Bret then grabs Austin and tosses him over the top rope, but the referees never saw it. Bret hammers away at The Undertaker and he thinks that he and The Undertaker are the final 2 men. But wait a minute, here comes Austin. Austin is back in, Austin grabs Bret and tosses him over the top rope to the floor, and 3 referees who are still breaking up the fight between Mankind and Terry Funk don't see it either. Austin hammers away at Undertaker and tries to eliminate him but Bret gets back in and hammers away at Austin and Bret tosses him over the top rope again but Austin is holding on to the apron and Austin grabs Bret by the hair and the referees stop the fight between Mankind and Funk and Austin grabs Bret with intent and tosses him over the top rope and Bret is irate over this.
BRET HART HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
And Austin begins to celebrate as if he's won the Royal Rumble, The Undertaker was down but he gets back to his feet and Austin tries to back off and tries a right hand but Undertaker blocks it and throws right hands at Austin and whips him into the ropes and goes for a back body drop but Austin kicks him in the face and goes for a piledriver and he connects with it. And Austin goes to the top rope and hits a diving elbow on Undertaker. Austin could go all the way here. Can he do it here tonight?. Austin tries to eliminate Undertaker but Undertaker fights back with an elbow and goes for a chokeslam but Austin kicks him low and Austin then cuts the throat saying this is it. But wait a minute Bret Hart is on the apron, the referees begin to get Bret out and Austin takes a swipe at Bret but Bret gets out of the way and Undertaker gets up and hits a chokeslam on Austin. Taker grabs Austin and tosses him over the top rope to the floor ending Austin's night, and The Undertaker has won The Royal Rumble for the second time in WWF History. Winner: The Undertaker
What a win from the Man From The Darkside, in 1993. He won the Royal Rumble, but tonight in 1997. He is now a 2-time Royal Rumble winner. And he is the second man to win the Royal Rumble at #27. We have seen everything here tonight at the Royal Rumble. We saw Stone Cold & Rocky Maivia almost go all the way, and we saw Stone Cold almost got all the way, but tonight, it's The Undertaker's night and The Undertaker is now going to WrestleMania 13 to face the WWF Champion whomever that may be. Undertaker does his pose, but will he posing with the World Wrestling Federation Championship at WrestleMania 13?. Royal Rumble goes off the air with Undertaker rolling his eyes, he is now a two-time Royal Rumble Winner.

Good to see a up and coming HHH get that IC title. These two had a solid back and forth encounter. What I am really curious is to see, is will HHH go to WM 13 with the title. I feel like a feud with a Brian Pillman or a premature one with Rocky Mavia would be a lot of fun leading into WrestleMania 13. Glad to see Ventura leveling out the playing field for the sake of fairness. Owen and Davey go out and prove why they are two of the most elite performers in the WWF. Hopefully in this diary both men go farther in the company. Johnson and Farooq's rival going to a good flow. Johnson makes a huge strike back at the Nation. Will Johnson employ the aide of L.O.D to help fight this threat? Vader and Shawn put me on a thrill ride of hoping for Shawn's win. I am really shocked to see Vader get the win. Sidd cost Shawn the title and Vader has broken the hearts of everyone in the building. Shawn and Sidd and a WrestleMania clash. I feel like Shawn will get back the title someway some how. I don't care what anyone says. The Rumble was a really fun one and it made the 97 Rumble far better then what it was in reality. I am really happy to see Taker win the Rumble, but who will step up to the deadman at Mania. I am really excited to see what the next few months in the WWF will be like. Quality stuff man, really getting a gittery feeling of what's next for everyone. Great cliff hanger to start WM season.

- Been a damn long time since I've been on here with my sabbatical from this site but just let me get right into the nitty gritty here by reviewing the 1997 Royal Rumble PPV
- Hunter Hearst Helmsley winning the WWF Intercontinental Championship for the 3rd time beating Goldust to become a 3-time WWF Intercontinental Champion is history in itself right there. All be it Hunter had help from Chyna who pays dividends once again taking out Marlena and Goldust getting distracted was enough for Hunter to take advantage.
- WWF President Jesse The Body Ventura with a fair ruling he bans Cornette from ringside as the WWF Champion Vader has to defend his WWF Championship against Shawn Michaels tonight in Michaels' hometown here at the Royal Rumble and adding stipulations No DQ...no Count out there must be a winner no stopping the match for blood loss I think that's a great way to settle things once and for all. However, who does that favor? Vader or HBK? The last times Vader and Michaels were ever in the ring together Vader beat Michaels and the last time Vader beat Michaels by TKO via match stoppage so what do you think Vader will do to Michaels in front of his hometown fans? His friends and family who are in attendance? Vader may not even need Cornette
- Bulldog and Owen retaining their WWF Tag Team Championships beating LOD just goes to show us that these 2 can legit beat any tag team in the WWF right now. They have taken on all comers and they have beaten them one by one. So who's next?
- Ahmed Johnson beating Faarooq by DQ...I figured the Nation would get involved in this match and low & behold I was right because Faarooq was well on his way to losing this match but Ahmed gets his retribution post match on The Nation. However, this rivalry is far from over.
- I knew Vader would walk out still WWF Champion and he did beating Shawn Michaels. He didn't just beat Shawn but beat him in his hometown in front of everyone and he didn't even need Cornette's help to do it. However, Vader did have shocking help from Sycho Sid of all people. Sid turns heel on Shawn basically beating the holy hell out of him and Vader basically takes advantage to get the win in a controversial fashion. I mean Michaels had it won and then Sid screws him. I wonder if we will get an explanation from Sid as to why he turned on Shawn. Sid post match basically beats up on Shawn some more and then spits on him for good measure. Surely there is something personal here. I can see this leading to Shawn/Sid in a match that happens at the next PPV.
- Main event Royal Rumble Match...Taker wins the Royal Rumble Match for the 2nd time in this diary joining an exclusive club with Hogan as the only men to win it twice. Taker won it in 93 in this diary and he wins it again 4 years later in 97. We are officially in the Attitude Era. Bret got screwed out of the Rumble by Austin but Bret pays Austin back by costing him the Rumble as well. Taker is on his way to Mania and Taker is undefeated at WrestleMania he is 5-0 at Mania and he gets a WWF Championship match against whoever the champion is. Will Vader still be champion by the time Mania rolls around?

WWF RAW - January 20. 1997
Clips are shown of the Royal Rumble from the controversial WWF Championship Match between Vader and Shawn Michaels with Sycho Sid turning on Shawn Michaels and another controversial Royal Rumble Finish with Bret allegedly eliminating Austin, but the referees were able to break up a fight between Mankind and Terry Funk allowing Austin to return and eliminate Bret only for The Undertaker to win the 1997 Royal Rumble eliminating Austin. The Undertaker is here tonight and Jesse Ventura will have some major announcements tonight as well.
Vince McMahon. Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for Monday Night RAW. They announce that Terry Funk will battle Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the WWF Intercontinental Championship tonight.
But before the commentators go on to talk more, Bret Hart's music plays in the arena as he makes a beeline to the ring and as he enters the ring. He snatches the mic from Howard Finkel and then immediately says that he's got something to say to the fans and even Vince McMahon. Bret says when he decided to return to the World Wrestling Federation. McMahon promised him an opportunity to fight for the World Wrestling Federation Title. So what did Vince do to Bret?. Vince put Bret in the ring with Stone Cold Steve Austin at Survivor Series and said that if he could beat Stone Cold, then he could be the #1 Contender for the WWF Championship. Bret says that it's just a little bit convenient that for some stupid reason Shawn Michaels announces his World Championship Match against Vader. Bret thinks it wasn't kind of a coindence what so ever and Shawn sticks his nose in his business and costs him the WWF Championship and then Vince tells Bret that's fine. Don't worry about it, cause he can go in the 1997 Royal Rumble and he can only fight 29 guys and he can get his opportunity to go to WrestleMania 13 to get back what was once his. So he gets back in the ring and it's very clear to him that The Undertaker didn't win the Royal Rumble, it should've been Bret Hart and he should be the one going to WrestleMania to become WWF Champion. Where is Bret's opportunity. The way he looks at things right now. He has been screwed by Shawn Michaels. He has been screwed by Vader. He has been screwed by Stone Cold Steve Austin. He has been screwed by The Undertaker, He has been screwed by the World Wrestling Federation and he has been screwed by Vince McMahon himself. Bret says that he's not one to make idle threats, but the way he sees things. He's not going to get his opportunity of becoming the four-time WWF Champion anymore. Because he quits. Bret then throws the mic down and starts to leave as Vince tries to talk to him, Stone Cold comes out and it seems like he's talking, but his mic is not working. Austin finally gets the mic and threatens the soundguy and then says that Bret can complain just like the rest of them because ever since Bret came back, he ain't done nothing but cry. Bret sits there and talks about how everybody like Stone Cold screwed him, the bottom line is when the going gets tough. The Harts gets going back home. Austin tells Bret to go on back to Canada and he can ring up the old man in his little old basement. Austin says that he's been jerked around for the last 7 years and he was jerked around himself. He should've been the one triumphant in the 1997 Royal Rumble, but no. The Undertaker is now the 1997 Royal Rumble Winner. Austin says that last night, he was robbed too. He could've went on to WrestleMania 13 in the main event and become the World Wrestling Federation Champion, as far as the World Wrestling Federation Championship goes. He is going to get it. Austin says that now the WWF is without Bret Hart. He can move on to bigger and better things, he wants to be the one to go to WrestleMania 13 with the WWF Title around his waist, and he went on to almost win the entire thing last night at the 1997 Royal Rumble, so with that feat. He should be the #1 Contender for the World Wrestling Federation Championship, so he wants Jesse Ventura out here right now to proclaim him the #1 Contender and Ventura has til one hour to proclaim him the #1 Contender and if he doesn't proclaim him the #1 Contender. He is going to whip Ventura's ass and that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so. (break) Match 1: Tag Team Match Owen Hart & British Bulldog vs Yokozuna & Fatu This should be a good Tag Team Match to kick off RAW. This match was scheduled to happen right now, but due to Bret Hart's big announcement. The match had to be pushed back. Yokozuna and Fatu get a good amount of offense against the Tag Team Champions. Owen and Bulldog had a great successful title defense at the Royal Rumble last night against The Legion of Doom but there is still a lot of tension between Owen and Bulldog because Owen eliminated Bulldog from the Royal Rumble last night. Owen and Bulldog seem to be working well, but Yokozuna and Fatu fight back, the end of the match comes when Yokozuna attempts to nail Bulldog with the Banzai Drop but Owen moves Bulldog out of the way and Owen tags himself in and Owen goes to the top rope and nails Yokozuna with a flying elbow drop off the top rope to get the pinfall win, and what a victory for the WWF Tag Team Champions. Owen starts celebrating right in Bulldog's face, they may be the Tag Team Champions, but it seems like there's dissention still between the two. Winners: Owen Hart and British Bulldog
(break) Match 2: Tajiri vs Scott Taylor At the Royal Rumble. Tajiri made his debut, but tonight he's making his RAW debut as he's taking on Scott Taylor. Tajiri gets in a lot of offense and goes to work straight on Taylor and gets the win by hitting a buzzsaw kick to get the victory. It looks like Tajiri is going to be one of the premier stars in the World Wrestling Federation. Winner: Tajiri
After Tajiri's match. The Commentators show us clips of the Royal Rumble again with the Commentators thanking the sold-out fans. (break) Vince McMahon is back in the ring with Jesse Ventura as Ventura is ready to make his big announcements. Ross thanks Ventura for being in the ring with him as the fans are pondering what's on his mind. Ventura says that the Royal Rumble was a huge success at the Alamodome and he thanks the fans for being a part of history. First of all, his congratulations are to The Undertaker winning the Royal Rumble and The Undertaker will have the right to face the World Wrestling Federation Champion at WrestleMania, and the reason he says World Wrestling Federation Champion, well he will get to that. But first, there's a few things that he wants to get off his chest. Ventura begins to say that change is about to come to the World Wrestling Federation because there is some new changes heading to the directions of Monday Night RAW. In 2 weeks time at the Skydome in Toronto, CN starting from now. RAW will be two hours long now. Since 1993, RAW has been on for one hour, but now on February 3. 1997, there is a new change for Monday Night RAW. A new change that will bring the World Wrestling Federation fans on the edge of their seats as RAW will start 2 hours late. Now after that, USA has a show every Monday before Valentine's Day. The Dog Show, well on February 13, 1997. They will have Thursday RAW Thursday. And also, February 24, 1997. RAW will be held at the very same place that RAW debuted in on. The Manhattan Center, and then March 3. 1997, and this is another big announcement, this is going to be history in the making and with that he is unveiling a new WWF Championship. Ventura then picks up a reveal cover and then says that this championship is going to be open to anyone, and he is announcing that this new Championship is going to be called the European Championship. Ventura takes it out and reveals it. Ventura says that starting February 17. 1997, there will be a 8-Man Tournament for this new European Title and the final 2 will battle it out in Germany to determine the new WWF European Champion, and then after. RAW will undergo a new change on March 10, 1997. No longer will it be Monday Night RAW. It will be Monday Night RAW IS WAR!. The fans begin to go nuts at that announcement. Ventura then says that RAW will have a new stage, a new ramp, it will be the same Monday Night RAW as it ever was, but with a different change. Ventura says moving on to the World Wrestling Federation Championship. Ventura says that Stone Cold is right, he did enter the Royal Rumble at #1 and he is deserving of a title shot at No Way Out, but he just hopes that Bret Hart is listening. Because if he thinks that feat Stone Cold pulled at the Royal Rumble, he's got another thing coming. So if Bret decides to accept the challenge, then at No Way Out, for the World Wrestling Federation Championship, it will be a Triple Threat Match for the WWF Title, No Disqualifactions, No Countouts, And it will be Vader defending the WWF Title against Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret Hart in a Triple Threat Match, but he's not done yet. He's added a guest referee that can make sure law and order can be handled, And he's talking about the 1997 Royal Rumble Winner, The Undertaker. The fans go nuts at the big announcements Ventura has made. Austin then suddenly comes back as he is not happy with the big news. Austin says that he doesn't think what Ventura heard the news. Bret Hart's ass quit. And it should be Austin vs Vader for the WWF Title one on one. Ventura looks back, but Austin tells Ventura to look at him when he talks to him. There is no way that it should be a Triple Threat Match, because he's the #1 Contender, not Bret Hart. But if that's what it takes. Then he will be in and he will go to WrestleMania to face The Undertaker for the title. The bottom line is, when he gets through with Bret and Vader. He is going to walk in to WrestleMania as the World Wrestling Federation Champion and whip The Undertaker's ass. Suddenly Bret appears on the RAW Stage as Austin and Ventura are badmouthing each other. Bret picks up the mic and says that he accepts the challenge, and at No Way Out. He is going to have the chance to become a four-time WWF Champion and there is nothing anyone like Vader, Austin or Undertaker can do about it. Because he is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Bret stares down Austin, it looks like The Hitman will not be leaving the WWF anytime soon. But he has another chance to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion once more.
(break) Match 3: WWF Intercontinental Championship Match Terry Funk vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/Chyna Helmsley made history last night by becoming the first-ever three-time WWF Intercontinental Champion at the Royal Rumble and tonight he will defend the Intercontinental Title against Terry Funk. Funk gets going with the match by attacking Helmsley and whips him into the ropes nailing a high back body drop on Helmsley and follows it up with a running knee. Funk's been having issues lately with Mankind. Funk tosses Helmsley out of the ring and heads to the top rope nailing a moonsault on Helmsley on the outside. Helmsley eventually battles back with help from Chyna as Helmsley has the referee distracted. Chyna then surprises Funk with a bodyslam, how does Chyna do this. She's a woman, but she ain't afraid to fight any man. Chyna tosses Funk back in the ring allowing Helmsley to get the momentum back on Funk. Helmsley almost gets the win by hitting a DDT on Funk but Funk is able to kick out at 2. Funk fights back and almost gets the win by hitting a cross body off the top rope but Helmsley kicks out at 2. Terry grabs Helmsley and whips him into the ropes and goes for a back body drop but Helmsley nails him with a facebuster and kicks Funk in the gut and goes for a pedigree but Funk fights out of it and hits a piledriver on Helmsley, but wait a minute here comes Mankind with a steel chair in hand and Mankind nails Funk in the head with a steel chair. Winner by DQ: Terry Funk Mankind begins to attack Funk and look who is back with Mankind, it looks like Paul Bearer is back. We haven't seen Paul Bearer since Survivor Series. Mankind continues to beat down Funk. Helmsley starts to join in on the beatdown and he aids Mankind to beat on Funk until suddenly Goldust runs in to make the save. Goldust fights both Mankind and Helmsley and hits a running double flying clothesline on both men. Goldust sends Helmsley over the top rope with a clothesline while Mankind leaves the ring. Goldust leaves the ring to go right after Helmsley and Funk is also in pursuit of Mankind, and we are expected to have The Undertaker up next. (break) The Undertaker's music plays in the arena as Kevin Kelly introduces him and Undertaker makes his way out to the arena. The Phenom made history last night by tying Hulk Hogan's 1990 and 1991 record by winning the Royal Rumble twice and also becoming the second man in WWF History to win the WWF Royal Rumble at #27. Taker brings up the lights in the arena and Kelly starts interviewing The Undertaker. Kelly tells Undertaker congratulations on winning the Royal Rumble and entering at #27 and becoming the second man to win it twice and also becoming the second man to win at #27. Undertaker says that at the Royal Rumble, he told everyone that there would be a mass burial, he told everyone that the 29 superstars would fight like warriors and they would go down like warriors. And now that he is standing as the 1997 Royal Rumble Winner, His destiny is now WrestleMania 13. Taker then says that 1996 was a tough year for The Undertaker, but now 1997. He's back to take souls and dig up holes. And now he's back at the top of the World Wrestling Federation Championship. The Championship that had alluded him for the past four years and he never got his fair rematch for. Because everytime he got a little closer. Somebody would snatch it away from him, but this time, not anymore. He's going onto WrestleMania and he promises to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion, not for himself but for all his creatures of the night. He will not let his creatures of the night down at WrestleMania. The ones that have stood by The Undertaker and the ones that have supported him. And the ones that will support The Undertaker in longetivity. Kelly then says that Ventura had chosen The Undertaker as the guest referee for the Triple Threat Match at No Way Out between Vader, Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Kelly asks if The Undertaker will be an impartial referee in that match. Taker says that he's never done anything impartial, it's always been his way. But if he wants to protect his WrestleMania Title Shot and not get it snatched away, then he guesses he's going to have to do the right thing and call the match down the middle, But as for Vader, Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin, they need to know that whoever walks out with that belt at WrestleMania. They better be praying on Sunday, March 23. 1997 the morning before WrestleMania. And they better give their soul to the lord because that title will belong to The Undertaker. Taker then tells them that his only objective to these three is to count the pinfall and protect his WrestleMania title shot. Then suddenly Paul Bearer comes down and look who is with Paul Bearer, the WWF Champion Vader. Bearer says that he bets The Undertaker doesn't remember Paul Bearer. The last time The Undertaker saw Paul Bearer at Survivor Series was when Undertaker beat him around just like Undertaker did for the past few years, but now he is back. He is back and he is back to represent the new dangerous monster of the company. The man who took Shawn Michaels's boyhood dream, the man that broke the hearts of all the fans of Bret Hart, the man that will break the hearts again of Bret Hart and the man that will skin the snake of Stone Cold Steve Austin and also the man that will finally kill The Undertaker and that's Vader. Bearer says that just this morning, he made an exchange with Jim Cornette and Cornette gave Paul Bearer an offer he couldn't refuse and that is to manage Vader all the way to WrestleMania to make The Undertaker's life miserable. Bearer says the last time Undertaker and Vader wrestled at WrestleMania together was last year when The Undertaker beat him because Paul Bearer was on The Undertaker's side and now, Paul Bearer will not be in The Undertaker's side. He is now in the form corner of the World Wrestling Federation Champion, the man who has dominated WWF for the past 2 years. Bearer says that at No Way Out, all The Undertaker has to do is make sure Vader retains the WWF Title, that's the only thing Paul Bearer asks of The Undertaker and then at WrestleMania. Vader will finally kill the legend of The Undertaker and cement his legacy as the greatest WWF Superstar of all time and Paul Bearer will be laughing his way to the bank about that. Taker then picks up the microphone and tells Bearer to shut his fat ass up. Him being in Vader's side, well that's okay. Because he is going to be impartial at No Way Out, but all Vader has to do is get through to Stone Cold and Bret Hart, and then at WrestleMania, he's going to have to bring his championship to the Darkside. Taker says that the creatures of the night have waited for four long years for The Undertaker to become champion again and he intends to become WWF Champion and come hell or high water, he will get that championship. So he doesn't give a damn what kind of bond Vader and Paul Bearer have, the only thing he gives a damn is WrestleMania when The Undertaker severs that bond at the head and then after he severs the bond at the head. He is going to take the WWF Championship and there will be nothing Vader can do, but rest in peace. Undertaker stares down Vader and Paul Bearer with his eyes rolled back in his head. McMahon announces that next week the fans will be hearing from Sycho Sid, and also. Ahmed Johnson will take on Crush as well. And plus, The Headbangers will be making their RAW Debut.

- Undertaker is 5-0 at WrestleMania he is undefeated and he wins his 2nd Royal Rumble Match in this diary. Taker is going back to the main event of Mania but who will he face in the main event of WrestleMania 13?
- A Triple Threat Match No DQ No Countout with Vader defending his WWF Championship against Bret The Hitman Hart and against Stone Cold Steve Austin...I wonder who that favors more? I mean Vader he has been WWF Champion for months now he has virtually been unbeatable well unstoppable but then again Vader has a new manager now...pairing him up with Paul Bearer makes sense because of The Undertaker...Bearer more or less wants to stop Taker from becoming WWF Champion again so what does he do? Aligns himself with the champion...such a slimy thing to do
- I just have a feeling that WrestleMania 13 we will get Taker/Vader II The Rematch considering we got it last year in this diary at WrestleMania 12 so I can see us getting the same match a year later but this time for the WWF Championship...I also think we get Hart/Austin in the Submission Match with the infamous double turn with Hart turning heel and Austin turning babyface all in the same match but as for Shawn...I think we will get Shawn Michaels vs Sycho Sid at WrestleMania 13
- Other Mania matches for Mania 13 I think we get are Mankind vs Terry Funk in some kind of specialty match but as for the WWF Intercontinental Championship I think we get Hunter defending his title against Goldust or he ends up defending it against Rocky Maivia

WCW NITRO QUICK RESULTS (1-20-97) (3-hour show) The show kicked off with The Giant making his WCW Return and grabbing a microphone and demanded a match with Hollywood Hogan tonight, and he didn't want this match to be non-title. He wanted this match to be for the WCW Championship. Eric Bischoff came out and told The Giant that Hollywood Hogan will be here and when he does. Hogan will respond to The Giant's challenge. The French Canadian Males w/Cpl. Parker D. Harlem Heat w/Sherri in a Tag Team Match when Cpl. Parker hit Booker with the Canadian Flagpole while the referee was distracted by Sherri. WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chris Jericho D. La Parka in a Non-Title Match. Chris Benoit D. Lord Steven Regal, after the contest. Lex Luger came out to save Chris Benoit from an attack by Regal and Eaton, After that. Luger and Benoit stared each other down with Benoit signaling for the Television Championship. Hour 2 kicked off with Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff by theirselves. Hogan talked about his match with DDP at Souled Out saying that DDP can't lace up his boots and that Page will never be the WCW Champion as long as he's breathing in and out and as far as The Giant's challenge goes, yes he accepts the challenge. The Steiner Brothers D. 2 Locals in a Tag Team Match, After the Match. The Steiners talked about how they were overlooked and that they demanded some competition at Souled Out, Then out came two familiar men attacking The Steiner Brothers, they were known to be ECW's Eliminators. Yes, The Eliminators came in to attack The Steiners as the commentators were shocked that they were in WCW. Mean Gene Okerlund caught up with the Eliminators. Saturn was the first to speak stating that they left ECW last December and Ted Turner made them an offer they couldn't refuse. Kronus spoke next and said that they weren't here to join the NWO. They were here to take WCW by force and that's going to start at Souled Out when they beat The Steiner Brothers in their first official WCW Match. Eddie Guerrero D. Syxx in a Non-Title Match. Later on the show. J.J. Dillon announced that Eddie Guerrero would challenge Syxx for the United States Title at Souled Out. Big Bubba D. Barbarian with a Sideslam. Hour 3 kicked off with Diamond Dallas Page being interviewed by Mean Gene Okerlund. DDP said that at World War III. He earned the shot at the WCW Championship to face Hulk Hogan and now his championship match could be him vs The Giant at Souled Out. Page says that if The Giant does win the WCW Title that would be good to him, but whoever is the champion come Souled Out. The Giant or Hogan are going to feel the bang. Rey Mysterio D. Ultimo Dragon with a Seated Senton. Kevin Nash D. Jeff Jarrett with a jackknife powerbomb. After the Match. The Outsiders attacked Flair and Jarrett leaving them laying and spraypainting "NWO" on their backs. The Giant D. Hollywood Hogan by DQ when the rest of the NWO came out to save Hogan. The NWO had the numbers game over The Giant, but The Giant surprisingly fought them off one by one. Hogan backed away from the ring as The Giant was clearing the ring of the NWO. Then DDP showed up to put Hogan back in the ring. Hogan begged for his life but The Giant grabbed him by the throat and chokeslammed Hogan, after. Sting was looking on and alongside Sting was Randy Savage as Nitro went off the air.

WHY DID THE ELIMINATORS LEAVE ECW FOR WCW? - Last Monday Night, two former ECW superstars and popular Tag Team in ECW. Perry Saturn and John Kronus both arrived in ECW to attack The Steiner Brothers. But the question is why did they come to WCW?. On January 4, 1997. Saturn and Kronus were made an offer by WCW owner Eric Bischoff that they couldn't refuse. The next day, when they told Paul Heyman. Heyman took the news well and granted them their release. Their Final ECW Match was at a live event on January 7. 1997. Both "Thank You" chants were directed at both men. On January 18, 1997. They were signed to WCW on a Saturday Night, and their surprise was being kept private when they attacked The Steiner Brothers.
A MAJOR STORYLINE SET TO EVOLVE BETWEEN PAUL BEARER AND UNDERTAKER? - Paul Bearer turned his back on The Undertaker at Summerslam 1996, but at Survivor Series. The Undertaker got his hands on Paul Bearer, on the RAW after the Rumble. Paul Bearer returned and is now managing the WWF Champion Vader to try to attempt to stop The Undertaker from becoming the World Wrestling Federation Champion. It looks like Undertaker is scheduled to win the belt at WrestleMania, and there are rumours going around that there could be a major storyline in the works real soon.
SOME ROOKIES TO LOOK OUT FOR BEFORE HEADING TO THE WWF - There are some Rookies you should watch out for soon in Canada, obviously. Adam Copeland, Jay Reno and Sean Morley have all been looked at by the World Wrestling Federation. Don't expect them to debut this year, hopefully next year. If WWF officials are still impressed with that, they could start their WWF career by early or mid 1998. But plans could change
RAW TO BE HELD IN MADISON SQUARE GARDEN ON SEPTEMBER 22 - According to Dave Meltzer, WWF and Vince McMahon have announced that Monday Night RAW will be heading to New York City again on September 22, 1997. But this time in the World's Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden, This will have been the second time the WWF hosted Monday Night RAW at Madison Square Garden. The last time it hosted RAW was last January of 1996. Tickets are scheduled to be on sale on March 16, 1997 as the WWF heads to MSG once again at a live event just 7 days before WrestleMania.

- I see The Undertaker's brother Kane (Glen Jacobs) making his debut with Paul Bearer telling Undertaker and the world that Kane is alive. Paul will tell the world about the fire saying Taker killed his parents and disfigured his own brother. Of course Taker will think Paul is lying and there will be signs. I can see Masked Kane debuting the way he did at Bad Blood inside the first ever Hell in a Cell Match because that debut was so perfect.
- No I think Edge, Christian and Val Venis will all debut next year in this diary in 1998. Edge & Christian will show up with Gangrel as The Brood and Val Venis with his porn star gimmick will also debut next year as well.
- Saturn and Kronus in WCW makes sense
- MSG before Mania I can't wait

I also see Yokozuna leaving the WWF because of health related issues but also because Yoko does die in real life in 2000 so there is no way around that. Yokozuna will probably end up on the Indy scene in 1998 and 1999 before retiring.
Fatu I see him out the door as well and him being repackaged and redebuting as Rikishi. I don't think we get a Rikishi debut until 1999 and he forms Too Cool with Brian Christopher who becomes Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty.
Jake The Snake I don't see him lasting all that much longer either in the WWF because of alcoholism issues creeping up again. So I see Jake on his way out as well.
Sycho Sid I think he too is also done and he will end up in WCW once again as Sid Vicious but as for when he leaves...I see him being gone by Summer 1997.
As for Shawn Michaels I see him turning heel soon to form D-Generation X (DX) with Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna and Rick Rude. With Shawn becoming more of a degenerate basically being an bunghole.
With Bret Hart however I see The Screwjob still happening in this diary at Survivor Series 1997 in Montreal and the Mr. McMahon character being born truly ushering in the Attitude Era in this Monday Night War and Shawn more or less becoming the most hated man in wrestling.
As for The Rock Rocky Maivia I see him becoming The Rock when he joins The Nation of Domination. I see the new Nation consisting of Faarooq, D'Lo Brown who will show up, Kama Mustafa and Rock becoming the newest member. Tatanka is out of the WWF and so will be Crush because by this time they are in WCW.

Chris Jericho D. Dean Malenko to retain the WCW Cruiserweight Championship The Giant D. Scott Norton Meng and Barbarian D. Big Bubba and Konnan in a Tag Team Match. After the Match. The NWO attacked Big Bubba and turned their back on him after he took the pinfall. Syxx D. Eddie Guerrero to retain the WCW United States Championship in a match that was considered by many fans the best match of the night, this match went on for a total 25-30 minutes, and Syxx won cleanly without any intereference from the New World Order after kicking out of 2 frog splashes. The Eliminators D. The Steiner Brothers in a Tag Team Match. Lex Luger D. Chris Benoit to retain the WCW Television Championship, after the match. Both men shook hands on a good match. Kevin Nash & Scott Hall D. Ric Flair & Jeff Jarrett to retain the WCW Tag Team Titles after Nash hit Jarrett with the jackknife powerbomb. WCW World Champion Hulk Hogan D. Diamond Dallas Page to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Title via intereference from Randy Savage, in the final moments of the match. The referee was taken out and Hogan attempted to hit Page with the WCW Title Belt, but Page ducked and nailed him with the Diamond Cutter. Page went to pin Hogan, but the referee was down. Then the rest of the NWO came out to attack Page, but Page fought them off one by one and then Savage came in and many thought he was going to help Page but instead he turned his back on Page by hitting him with the WCW Title Belt. Savage then took off his jacket to reveal a NWO T-Shirt. Savage picked up Page and piledrived him to the mat and hit the elbow drop on Page as well. Savage then woke Hogan up and both men hugged and shook hands. Savage then hugged Miss Elizabeth as well. Hogan then hit the leg drop on Page and got the victory with the referee getting up to his feet. After the Match. The NWO celebrated and then Piper's music hit with Roddy Piper coming out and announcing that his match with Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Title would be at Superbrawl 1997 and that the War to settle the score would happen once again and this time it's going to be like Starrcade, but this time it will be Piper becoming the WCW World Heavyweight Champion and bringing the WCW Title back home to where it belongs. Piper stared down the rest of the NWO as Hogan and Piper threatened one another.

WWF RAW - January 27. 1997
Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for Monday Night RAW as Sycho Sid's music plays in the arena as he gets set for one on one action.[/div} Match 1: Sycho Sid vs Yokozuna w/Fatu The crowd are not happy with Sid's change in attitude as he turned his back on Shawn Michaels, but tonight he goes one on one with Yokozuna, the man that he eliminated at the 1997 Royal Rumble. Yoko and Sid engage in a slugfest to start the match. Yokozuna gets the advantage over Sid but Sid fights back and surprises Yokozuna with a clothesline knocking him off his feet. Yoko however is able to fight back by hitting a belly to belly suplex and follows it up by hitting a leg drop. Yoko heads to the top rope and attempts the banzai drop but Sid rolls out of the way and Yokozuna fell hard. Yoko gets back to his feet only for Sid to knock him back down again with a big boot to the face. Sid runs off the ropes and drops a leg on the former WWF Champion and Sid pins Yokozuna to get the win. Winner: Sycho Sid
After The Match. Fatu goes to check on Yokozuna but Sid attacks him as well and hits him with a chokeslam. Sid then picks up the microphone and we heard that he was going to speak after this match and he is right now. Sid says that everyone wants to know why he cost his former buddy Shawn Michaels the World Wrestling Federation Championship again. Well it's because at Survivor Series, Shawn turned his back on Sid and it's because Sid was trying to help Shawn win the match and go on to the Royal Rumble to face Vader. Sid says that Shawn didn't want his help and that's why he had to take matters into his own hands. Sid says that Shawn stabbed him in the back not once, not twice but three times. 2 years ago, he stuck a knife in his back and at the Royal Rumble, the same thing happened, The only reason why it happened is because he's tired of Shawn getting the WWF Championship time after time after time. And it makes him sick, he should be the 1997 Royal Rumble Winner, not The Undertaker, but he's not. He should be going to WrestleMania 13 to be the WWF Champion. He should be the one representing the face of the WWF. But no, it's always gotta be Shawn Michaels. Sid says that he wants to take the face of the WWF that is Shawn Michaels and he wants to destroy him and send him out of the World Wrestling Federation. Sid says that he also has it on good authority that no one has heard from Shawn Michaels since the Royal Rumble and he believes that Shawn's career is over. Sid says that Shawn should come to No Way Out and face him in the ring one on one and he will show Shawn Michaels that he is the master and the ruler of the world. Sid then leaves the ring laughing but will Shawn Michaels return at No Way Out to face Sycho Sid?. We haven't seen Shawn since The Royal Rumble. (break) Match 2: The Headbangers vs Tony Roy and Jake Steele A debut match for The Headbangers as they are looking to be the potential tag team to beat in the WWF. They show off some good moves as Roy and Steele never get any offense in, but The Headbangers win their RAW debut by hitting the stage dive on Steele to get the victory. Lawler predicts that this team are going to be the future WWF Tag Team Champions. Winners: The Headbangers (break) Vince McMahon is in the ring ready to announce the World Wrestling Federation Champion Vader and his new manager Paul Bearer as they are scheduled for an interview, Vader and Bearer make their way to the ring for the first time since their partnership last week. McMahon gets down to the questions and first asks Paul Bearer why he joined Vader. Bearer says that when he heard The Undertaker win the Royal Rumble, he had to make a call to Jim Cornette, and Cornette gave him a full-time job to make sure that Vader stays the World Wrestling Federation Champion. Bearer says that he watched The Undertaker become the World Wrestling Federation Champion, but he was the weakest champion ever. Bearer says that now he is managing a real champion, a champion that is a monster, a champion who has dominated the World Wrestling Federation ever since he debuted in 1995, The list is endless. Razor Ramon, The Undertaker, Jake Roberts, Shawn Michaels, Terry Funk, Sycho Sid and Bret Hart, everyone that has stepped in the ring with his new man Vader. And now The Undertaker wants to get his hands again on Vader and he's desperate to get back at the World Wrestling Federation Championship. McMahon then tells Bearer and Vader that Vader might not become the WWF Champion til then. Bearer gets in McMahon's face and tells McMahon what did he say. McMahon says that there could be a chance that Vader might not go to WrestleMania 13 and might not get his chance to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania because Stone Cold Steve Austin or Bret Hart could take his championship at No Way Out. Bearer says that there is no way in hell that ain't going to happen. Stone Cold and Bret Hart have their personal issues with one another. Bearer first goes to Stone Cold saying that Stone Cold likes to run his mouth and use vulgar language to get what he wants around here and sure he is the toughest SOB in the World Wrestling Federation, but his Vader is the real toughest SOB that walks the face of the planet. And Bret Hart, the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be, well. Vader already beat Bret Hart and embarrassed him infront of the world last December. And even humiliated him in the best way. At No Way Out, it's going to be all over for Stone Cold and Bret Hart, because by the time Stone Cold and Bret Hart are both looking at the lights, they will know that Vader will be the greatest thing going in the World Wrestling Federation today and as far as The Undertaker being the guest referee is concerned. The Undertaker better make sure Vader gets the win, and then at WrestleMania. Vader will kill the legacy of The Undertaker. As for Vince making predictions, well let's just say Vader makes a prediction for Vince McMahon, how would Vince like the taste of a Vader Bomb. Vader corners Vince in the corner, then suddenly Bret Hart enters the ring and begins to slug it out with Vader. Bearer attempts to hit Bret with the urn but Bret knocks him down with a right hand to a loud cheer, Bret is taking it to Vader, but wait a minute there's Mankind. Mankind enters the ring to attack Bret. Mankind and Vader are now all over Bret. Bret does his best to fight both of them off, but he's outnumbered and here comes Stone Cold, it looks like Stone Cold is going to join in this beatdown, but wait a second. Stone Cold hits Mankind with a clothesline. And now Austin is hammering away at Vader, why did Stone Cold help Bret Hart?. Why is Stone Cold helping Bret Hart. Hart gets to his feet and look at Hart and Austin, they're both teaming up against Vader. Austin and Hart send Vader out of the ring with a double clothesline. And now look. Austin grabs Hart and attempts the Stone Cold Stunner but Hart rolls out of the way and tries to take Austin down with the sharpshooter, but Austin rolls out of the way and now these two are going at it with refs and officials trying to hold them back, this animosity between Hart and Austin has gotten just a little personal.
(break) Match 3: Tajiri vs Savio Vega Last week Tajiri made a strong debut on RAW defeating Scott Taylor, but tonight he's in action again as he takes on a veteran in Savio Vega who's only been in the WWF for 2 years. Tajiri and Vega put on a great match for a good 7 minutes with Vega getting offense in but Tajiri battles back and hits the buzzsaw kick on Vega to get the victory. Winner: Tajiri
The Commentators talk about the European Title 8-Man Tournament which will happen on February 17, 1997 through March 3, 1997. And here are the competitors that have just been announced, Owen Hart, British Bulldog, Tajiri, Marc Mero, Bradshaw, Flash Funk, Crush and Jake "The Snake" Roberts. 1 of these 8 will become the WWF European Champion, the quarterfinals will start on February 17, 1997 and the semifinals will be on February 24, 1997 and the finals will be in Berlin on March 3, 1997. (break) Match 4: Ahmed Johnson vs Crush w/The Nation of Domination This rivalry between Ahmed and The Nation of Domination might end tonight if Ahmed gets a huge win over Crush, at the Royal Rumble. Ahmed Johnson wastes no time at all going straight for Crush. Ahmed looks set to end this match quickly by trying to hit the Pearl River Plunge, but wait a minute here come The Public Enemy, Mabel and Faarooq, The rest of the Nation of Domination have swarmed the ring to attack Ahmed. Winner by DQ: Ahmed Johnson Ahmed tries to fight them off one by one, but a clothesline by Mabel takes Ahmed down. Faarooq then takes off his leather strap and begins to whip Ahmed in the back with it. Slick then pulls out a string rope and what are they fixing to do with Ahmed?. They begin to tie Ahmed to the ropes with that string rope and Faarooq beats Ahmed up with it, Faarooq then instructs the rest of the Nation of Domination members to whip Ahmed. And they all do, Ahmed has been beaten down and humiliated. Ahmed can't even defend himself. Ahmed makes one ditch effort to fight back by spitting in the face of Faarooq but it's not enough as The Nation of Domination continue to pummel Ahmed with the leather belt. Referees and officials suddenly come out to stop the beatdown. The Nation leave the ring as officials and refs check on Ahmed, they unlock him in the ropes, but wait Faarooq is not done. Faarooq gets the officials out of the way and look at this he's whipping Ahmed with that belt again, but this time on his kidney. The kidney that was surgically repaired last summer. What has possessed Faarooq?. Refs and officials finally stop Faarooq from doing more damage, but it's obvious that Ahmed's kidney may be rehurt again. (break) Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross begin to sign us off but announce next week that RAW will be going 2 hours and there will be some huge matches, as Bret Hart and Stone Cold team up to take on the team of Mankind and Vader. Lawler says that Hart and Austin can't get along tonight, also a #1 Contendership Match between Rocky Maivia and Goldust and the winner faces Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the Intercontinental Championship at No Way Out, And also we will get the condition of Ahmed Johnson, but just announced by Jesse Ventura that at No Way Out after the beating that occurred just moments ago, Ahmed Johnson and Faarooq will face off in a leather strap match at No Way Out. RAW goes off the air with Vince, Ross and Lawler signing off.

- Sid's explanation for why he turned heel on Shawn Michaels was classic heel gold right there. I mean how could you argue with Sid in his rationale? Shawn has always overshadowed Sid but also has overshadowed everyone that he ever associated with.
- Sid beating Yokozuna doesn't come as a surprise because Yoko is on his last legs with the company so he is done but seeing Sid attack Fatu post match as well just puts Sid over as a monster heel. Sid is a psycho he is a lunatic so he should be acting more psychotic and him doing that just proves it.
- Loved seeing Bret and Austin teaming up to attack the WWF Champion Vader...who would have expected that? Then seeing Austin and Bret turn on each other right after was to be expected
- However, Taker is undefeated at Mania he has never lost he is 5-0 at Mania and he faces whoever the WWF Champion is...but Taker I am sure out of the 3 guys there is someone who he wants to face but someone who he doesn't want to face

WCW NITRO QUICK RESULTS (1/27/97)
The Show kicked off with Diamond Dallas Page confronting The New World Order and demanded that Randy Savage come out to face him one-on-one. Then Eric Bischoff showed up and told Page that Savage would not be here until later on to explain his actions, but the rest of the NWO were here right now. Then Bischoff tried to convince Page to try to become a member of the New World Order, but Page wouldn't have none of it and hit Bischoff with the Diamond Cutter. After, the rest of the NWO appeared, but Page was able to make a get quick getaway. Hogan shouted threats at Page telling Page that he will pay.
Rey Mysterio D. Chris Jericho in a non-title match at 10:00 with Mysterio hitting a seated senton.
The Eliminators D. Hacksaw "Jim Duggan" and Renegade in a tag team match at 5:54, after the match. The Eliminators demanded that the Outsiders bring the WCW Tag Team Title Belts to them at Superbrawl because right now they are issuing an open challenge to them at Superbrawl.
The Giant D. Big Bubba at 3:29 with a chokeslam, after the match. The NWO attacked Big Bubba, but not The Giant. Hogan then whipped Bubba and expelled him from the group.
Hulk Hogan was in the ring by himself proclaiming himself to be the greatest WCW World Champion of all time winning this championship three times and becoming a 7-time World Heavyweight Champion and that he was unstoppable from the days of WWF and WCW. He was the best in the 1980s, and he was the best in the 1990s, and he will even become the best in the 2000s, and that nobody could beat him. Then Roddy Piper's music hit and told Hogan that he has a few days til Superbrawl to be the man, because Piper is going to take the WCW Championship. Then Hogan said that he wanted to add a match stipulation, there will be no disqualifactions and no countouts, but he wanted this match to be a Steel Cage Match. Piper said that he's been in many steel cage matches before and he'll be glad to wrestle in a cage again.
WCW Television Champion Lex Luger D. Mortis at 5:13 in a Non Title Match.
Jeff Jarrett D. Prince Iaukea at 4:49 by using the figure-four leg lock.
Syxx D. Eddie Guerrero at 18:53 to retain the WCW United States Championship in another good match, but as Eddie was closing in on winning the United States Championship with the referee down. Randy Savage came out and hit an elbow drop on Eddie Guerrero off the top rope. Savage then placed Syxx on Guerrero and the referee counted 3 awarding the title retained to Syxx.
After the United States Championship Match. Randy Savage picked up a microphone and demanded the reason why he joined the New World Order is because Eric Bischoff gave Savage an offer he couldn't refuse. Now with Macho Man in the NWO. The NWO is much more powerful and stronger than as it's ever been. And he thanks his best friend Hollywood Hogan for letting Savage see the light. Because what has WCW done for the Macho Man for 2 years, nothing. He's been held back, he's won the WWF Championship two times. But now, he's going to join the New World Order because he doesn't care about WCW, He doesn't care about Diamond Dallas Page, Lex Luger, The Giant, Ric Flair and all of the others. The fans can stick it just like Hollywood Hogan said, because there is no one that will hold the NWO down. Then Savage left the arena, but as soon as he left the parking lot. Diamond Dallas Page snuck up from behind and attacked him. A Brawl broke out between the two, the fight then spilled to the ring with Savage gaining the momentum and hitting Page a few times in the back with a steel chair. Savage headed to the top rope and attempted the elbow drop but Page pulled the ropes down and made a brief comeback and gave The Macho Man a few chair shots and attempted to use the Diamond Cutter on Savage but as he was setting it up, Vincent came down to save Savage only to receive a Diamond Cutter for his efforts, but he was too outnumbered by the New World Order who all came down. The Giant came down to try to even the odds, but he was outnumbered as well. Lex Luger, The Steiners, Benoit, Flair, Anderson, Eddie Guerrero, Malenko, Jarrett and Piper all came down and fought off with the rest of the NWO. And then Sting appeared and watched the whole brawl unfold in the rafters. Team WCW would send NWO into retreat, Page then picked up a microphone and demanded a match with Savage at Superbrawl too. Savage picked up his own microphone and told Page that if it's a fight Page wanted, it's a fight Page got. WCW stared down NWO as Nitro went off the air.

WWF RAW - February 3. 1997 - The Skydome
Clips are shown of last week between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret Hart fighting off an attack against Mankind and Vader, but then they turned on one another, so tonight. Jesse Ventura has forced Austin and Bret to put aside their differences and work together as a unit to take on the team of Mankind and the World Wrestling Federation Champion Vader for the first ever 2-hour edition of Monday Night RAW and plus Rocky Maivia and Goldust will square off one on one to determine who faces Hunter Hearst Helmsley at No Way Out for the Intercontinental Championship. Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are your hosts for RAW as they welcome us to the 2-hour edition of Monday Night RAW. McMahon says that from now on every two hours, RAW will be broadcasted live on USA from two hours and they are live from the Skydome tonight in Toronto, CN. The home of WrestleMania 6. Match 1: The Undertaker vs Bradshaw And what a way to kick off the 2-hour RAW edition than a mammoth matchup between the man who will be headlining WrestleMania 13, The Undertaker taking on the Big Texan Bradshaw, and what a matchup this should be. Bradshaw wastes no time after he takes off his coat and hat going to work on The Undertaker with big right hands. Bradshaw whips Taker into the ropes and goes for a backbody drop but Taker pulls him by the hair and shoves him to the mat. Taker then throws punches at Bradshaw and whips him into the buckle and goes for a move in the corner but Bradshaw kicks him in the face and runs off the ropes and hits a diving shoulder block knocking Undertaker down to the mat. Bradshaw goes for a quick cover but Undertaker kicks out. Bradshaw pummels away at Undertaker and whips him into the buckle but Undertaker hits a hard clothesline knocking Bradshaw down to the mat and Taker runs off the ropes and goes for an elbow drop but Bradshaw rolls out of the way and Bradshaw clotheslines Undertaker over the top rope to the floor, but Undertaker lands on his feet and drags Bradshaw back to the outside of the ring. And Undertaker and Bradshaw are exchanging blows with Bradshaw getting the better of them. Bradshaw tries to toss Undertaker into the steel steps but Undertaker reverses it and throws Bradshaw straight into the steel steps. Taker then tosses Bradshaw back on the apron and Taker jumps off the apron to hit a big leg drop on Bradshaw. Taker returns to the ring and grabs the arm of Bradshaw and it looks like we might be seeing Undertaker walking the top rope. But as soon as Taker almost connects with it. Bradshaw grabs him and hip tosses him to the mat, and what tremendous athlete by the Texan Native. Bradshaw gains control of the match and tries to wear down Undertaker by hitting a fallaway slam and two neckbreakers but Undertaker gets back to his feet and takes the fight to Bradshaw but Bradshaw nails him with a boot to the face knocking Undertaker down. Undertaker sits up and then hammers away at Bradshaw and whips him into the ropes but Bradshaw reverses it and Undertaker hits a diving clothesline on Bradshaw, what a back and forth matchup between these two. Taker grabs Bradshaw by the arm and finally connects with the ropewalk knocking Bradshaw down. Taker then whips Bradshaw into the buckle and Bradshaw charges back at Undertaker only for The Phenom to scoop him up and it looks like we may see the Tombstone Piledriver, but Bradshaw fights out of it and goes for the clothesline from hell on Undertaker but Undertaker grabs him by the throat and goes for the chokeslam only for Bradshaw to knee him in the face and Bradshaw runs off the ropes and nails The Deadman with the clothesline from hell. This could be a huge upset if Bradshaw can defeat The Undertaker. Bradshaw looks set to cover but Undertaker rises up. Bradshaw runs off the ropes and looks for a second clothesline from hell but Taker grabs him by the throat again and nails a big-time chokeslam on the Texas Native. Taker gets the cover, 1. 2. 3. The Undertaker wins the match against Bradshaw, what a victory for the Deadman, the man who could become the next World Wrestling Federation Champion at WrestleMania, and the man who has promised to call the match down the middle at No Way Out in the Triple Threat Match for the WWF Championship. Winner: The Undertaker (break) Backstage. Kevin Kelly is standing by with The Headbangers talking about their debut and that tonight they will take on the former WWF Tag Team Champions Bam Bam Bigelow and Skip, Mosh is the first to speak saying that Owen Hart & British Bulldog have been avoiding them for too long, The Headbangers don't care about their issues, all they care about is becoming the Tag Team Champions. Thrasher says that they didn't come to the World Wrestling Federation to be the greatest, they came here to dance and have fun, and that they are going to thrash on Owen Hart and British Bulldog's Tag Team Title Reign and it starts with Bam Bam Bigelow and Skip and they better hope Owen Hart & Bulldog are watching, because at No Way Out, they want the WWF Tag Team Championship now. Match 2: Doug Furnas & Phillip Lafon vs The Public Enemy w/The Nation of Domination The Public Enemy were instrumental in the attack last week against Ahmed Johnson when Faarooq whipped him with a belt, so the match is sanctioned for No Way Out as it will be Faarooq battling Ahmed Johnson in a leather strap match, hopefully. There will be a proverbial end to the feud. As soon as the match gets going. Ahmed Johnson comes out to nail Faarooq with a surprise attack and look at this, he's got the leather belt and he whips Faarooq with it, the match is still going on whie this is happening, Ahmed and Faarooq have disappeared out of sight, but wait a minute, look who's headed down the entry way. Sycho Sid, What is he doing here?. Crush begins to confront Sid telling Sid that there's more problems going on here. And Sid punches Crush in the face. Sid then shoves down Slick and enters the ring and hits Lafon with a big boot to the face and that's a DQ victory for Furnas & Lafon. Winner By DQ: Furnas and Lafon Rocco and Rock confront Sid but Sid knocks them all down and Furnas gets in the ring to attack Sid but Sid throws him down. Sid grabs Rocco by the throat and chokeslams him to the mat. Sid picks up Grunge and also does the same thing to him. Sid then grabs Lafon and nails him with a powerbomb, Sid has snapped ever since he cost Shawn Michaels the World Wrestling Federation Championship at the 1997 Royal Rumble. Furnas also gets hit with the powerbomb as well and just as Sid clears the ring of Public Enemy and Furnas & Lafon, he asks for a microphone. Sid says that Shawn Michaels was supposed to be here to answer Sid's challenge at No Way Out, but the way Sid sees it, is Shawn is just too chicken crap to show up, the censors are able to catch the "S" word on USA. Sid says that he's going to keep destroying everybody until Shawn Michaels answers his challenge at No Way Out, Sid tells Shawn that Shawn and Sid were never best friends because Shawn has stabbed him in the back and has kept Sid away from the World Wrestling Federation Championship, well he is not going to ask anymore. It doesn't matter what Sid does to anyone, all he cares about is ending the legacy of The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, Sid says that he is still going to let Shawn Michaels slide for now, but he has until Thursday RAW Thursday, February 13, 1997 to answer Sycho Sid's challenge or else he's going to have to go to San Antonio to find Shawn Michaels and beat an answer out of him. But for now, he's hungry for some competition, so who wants to step up to face the master and the ruler of the world. The Commentators then go to break. (break) Back in The Ring. Sid is still waiting as he continues to speak saying that he's not leaving here until he gets what he wants tonight. Then suddenly Marc Mero's music hits as he shows up with Sable, it looks like The Former Intercontinental Champion is going to accept Sid's challenge. Match 3: Sycho Sid vs Marc Mero w/Sable Sycho Sid requested this match and Marc Mero has taken the call to face Sid. Sid shoves Mero to start the match off, but Mero seems like he's not going to back down at all and he just takes it to Sid. Mero runs off the ropes and hits a flying forearm taking down the big man and Sid rolls out of the ring but look at Mero, Mero heads to the top rope and hits a cross body taking down Sid and it looks like Mero came down hard on that leg. Mero continues to fight despite being injured and tosses Sid back in the ring in where Sid gains the momentum and begins to taunt Shawn Michaels. Mero somehow makes a comeback and almost gets the win by hitting a Tornado DDT but Sid is able to kick out at 2. Mero heads to the top rope and nails Sid with a missile dropkick but that does not take Sid down. Mero runs off the ropes only for Sid to grab him by the throat and nail a thunderous chokeslam on Mero. Sid then grabs Mero and nails him with a powerful jackknife to get the victory. What a great effort by Marc Mero, but in the end Sycho Sid proved to be too dominant. Winner: Sycho Sid But Sid's not done just yet. Sid then goes to attack the leg of Marc Mero. Sid gets out of the ring and he grabs Mero's leg to the center of the apron and Sid picks up Mero's leg and rams it into the apron again and again and again, what has gotten into Sycho Sid?. Sid's totally a changed man, he's snapped ever since the Royal Rumble and he's been trying to get a match with Shawn Michaels at No Way Out. But Michaels has not accepted. The Commentators announce that Rocky Maivia vs Goldust is up next, and the winner of this faces Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the Intercontinental Title at No Way Out.
(break) Match 4: #1 Contenders Match to determine who faces Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the Intercontinental Title at No Way Out Rocky Maivia vs Goldust w/Marlena Hunter Hearst Helmsley is on commentary watching this matchup between Rocky Maivia and Goldust. Maivia gets the early advantage by hitting Goldust with a few armdrags but Goldust is able to fight back and go for the arm of Maivia. Goldust whips Maivia into the ropes and Goldust hits a shoulder block and Goldust poses on Maivia and Maivia looks very frightened. Rocky fights back and hammers away at Goldust and runs off the ropes and takes down the former Intercontinental Champion with a clothesline. Maivia goes for the cover but Goldust kicks out. Maivia had a heck of a performance at the 1997 Royal Rumble entering at #2 and being one of the final four competitors until being eliminated by Bret Hart. Goldust somehow is able to fight back and takes the momentum back on his side with Helmsley acknowledging the commentators that he doesn't care who he faces at No Way Out as long as he walks out still the Intercontinental Champion. Maivia is able to fight back and hits a cross body on Goldust. Maivia goes for the cover but Goldust kicks out at 2. Maivia whips Goldust into the ropes but Goldust reverses it and hits a powerslam on Maivia. Goldust then sets up for the curtain call but Helmsley takes off his headset and begins to make a beeline towards the ring. Helmsley gets in only for Goldust to knock him down with a right hand. Goldust gets out of the ring and hammers away at Helmsley, it looks like Goldust wants a little bit of redemption against Helmsley. Goldust eventually gets back in the ring at the count of 9. Maivia gets up and punches away at Goldust and goes for the uranage move but Goldust shoves him off and goes for a clothesline and Maivia comes back with a samoan drop on Goldust. Maivia goes for the cover again but Goldust kicks out at 2. Maivia whips Goldust into the buckle but Goldust kicks him in the face and nails him with an atomic drop followed up by a clothesline. And as the referee checks on Maivia. Helmsley grabs Goldust by the knees and hits him with the Intercontinental Championship on the outside of the ring while the referee checks on Maivia. Helmsley then gets out of the ring and the ref begins to count Goldust out, and Goldust tries to make it to his feet with assistance from Marlena and he does, but it's too late as the referee counts 10 and awards the victory to Rocky Maivia. Maivia will face Helmsley at No Way Out for the Intercontinental Championship and look at Helmsley and Chyna on the RAW stage smirking at Goldust. Winner by Countout: Rocky Maivia Goldust then stares down Helmsley but gets back in the ring and confronts Maivia and Goldust reaches hishand out to shake and Maivia accepts the handshake, Goldust tells him that if Maivia wins the Intercontinental Title, Goldust Wants the first shot at the belt. It seems like Maivia and Helmsley will go at it for the Intercontinental Title at No Way Out.
(break) Match 5: Billy Gunn w/The Honky Tonk Man vs Ahmed Johnson Ahmed Johnson got a little bit of redemption tonight against Faarooq, but tonight he is going to go one on one with Billy Gunn. Gunn gets a little bit of offense in against Ahmed and that just makes Ahmed angry. Ahmed grabs Gunn and just tosses him into the buckle attacking him, Gunn however fights back and tries to go for the Rocker Dropper but Ahmed counters and nails Gunn with the Pearl River Plunge to get the victory, and what a victory for Ahmed Johnson. Winner: Ahmed Johnson Kevin Kelly interviews Stone Cold about his tag team match with Bret Hart against Vader & Mankind. Austin says that everyone knows the history between him and Bret Hart, he does not like Bret Hart, and he doesn't trust anyone, he doesn't give a rats ass who his partner is, Jesse Ventura can make all the matchmaking that he wants, but the bottom line is, come No Way Out, he's going to whoop Bret Hart and Vader's ass, and if The Undertaker gets in his way, he's going to beat his dead ass too. Because all he cares about right now is become the WWF Champion, Austin says that he's made a lot of changes ever since he became the 1996 King of The Ring and the bottom line is nobody can stop Stone Cold Steve Austin, so Bret better follow his lead tonight so they can put their differences aside to beat Mankind and Vader and that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so. (break) Match 6: The Headbangers vs Bam Bam Bigelow and Skip The Headbangers made their RAW Debut, but tonight it's their huge test as they take on Bam Bam Bigelow and Skip. Bigelow and Skip get a little bit of offense against the Headbangers, but The Headbangers fight back and this match is nothing short of quick as they hit Skip with the Mosh Pit to get the victory. Winners: The Headbangers After The Match. Owen Hart and British Bulldog come in with Owen picking up the microphone saying that The Headbangers's challenge at No Way Out for the WWF Tag Team Championship has been accepted. So it looks like The Headbangers's Tag Team Championship Match will happen at No Way Out.
(break) Kevin Kelly interviews Bret Hart about the Tag Team Match with him and Austin against the team of Mankind and Vader. Hart speaks saying that he's heard the comments Austin has said and it doesn't change the fact. Stone Cold's right. They're not going to get along tonight, but they do share one common bond and that is be in a partnership and that's all that needs to happen, At No Way Out, Bret is wanting to become a four-time WWF Champion again, Bret says that he knows The Undertaker is the referee for the match, so he better call this match down the middle, because we all know what happened at WrestleMania 9, and he wants to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 13 again, but before he gets through that, he needs to beat Stone Cold and Vader and he will tie his name in history by becoming the second ever 4-time World Wrestling Federation Champion, he's had the prestigious honor in wearing that title three times in his career, And ever since he left, he's been thinking about winning that Championship back, and he's headlined WrestleMania 3 times with that Championship and he's walked out of WrestleMania without it, but this year if he becomes Champion and walks with the belt at WrestleMania, they can rest assured that he is going to leave WrestleMania with that belt, but he and Stone Cold need to share a common bond tonight and if Stone Cold gets in his way tonight, he's going to take him out and that's the bottom line cause Bret Hart said so.
Vince, Ross and Lawler talk about what may happen come No Way Out. Lawler predicts that Stone Cold is going to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion, then suddenly the lights go out in the arena as The Undertaker's music plays and it looks like we might have an appearance by The Undertaker, we know the tag team match is next. But what is The Undertaker's business here?. Match 7: Tag Team Match Mankind and Vader w/Paul Bearer vs Stone Cold and Bret Hart Stone Cold and Bret Hart must co-exist as a tag team tonight for one night only as they take on the deadly duo of Mankind and Vader, And we now know that The Undertaker is at the commentary table with the commentators. But Lawler makes a dumb remark asking who asked The Undertaker to show up on commentary. Taker tells Lawler that he's just here to see Bret, Stone Cold and Vader, not anyone else. Austin and Mankind start the match off with Austin taking it to Mankind. Austin whips Mankind into the ropes and Mankind ducks a clothesline only for Austin to hit the lou thesz press on Mankind and Austin drops an elbow on Mankind. Austin goes for the cover but Mankind kicks out at 2. Mankind fights back and whips Austin into the ropes and hits a back elbow and Mankind tags in Vader. Vader begins to attack Austin and nails him with punches, Vader whips Austin into the buckle but Austin comes out with a thunderous clothesline and makes a hard tag to Bret and Bret hammers away at Vader and Bret runs off the ropes nailing a flying forearm on the WWF Champion. Bret goes for the cover but Vader is able to kick out at 2. Vader and Mankind finally gain momentum with Mankind kicking Bret in the ribs and it allows Vader to hit a hard clothesline on Bret. Vader then makes the tag to Mankind and Bret gets pummeled by Mankind but Bret somehow is able to fight back and nail Mankind with a russian leg sweep and a clothesline knocking Mankind down. Bret then grabs Mankind by the arm and makes another hard tag to Austin. Austin and Bret are able to work together so well here. Mankind fights back and nails Austin with a Double Arm DDT and Mankind goes for the cover but Bret breaks up the count just in time. Vader gets in and goes right for Bret. Bret somehow is able to fight off Vader and both men go over the top rope to the floor. Austin and Mankind are the remaining two left. Mankind whips Austin into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Austin counters and goes for the stunner but Mankind gets out of it and hits the mandible claw on Austin. Will Austin pass out here. Austin breaks the mandible claw and hits a spinebuster taking down Mankind. Paul Bearer gets on the apron to try to distract the referee but Austin gives him a right hand knocking Bearer off the apron. Vader gets in and hammers away at Austin and now here comes Bret. Bret is taking it to Vader and just as Bret attempts another right hand. Vader ducks and Bret accidentally hits Austin. And Vader grabs Bret and goes for a powerbomb but Bret chops the legs of Vader and goes for the sharpshooter, and these two are not legal in this match, the only two are Mankind and Austin. Mankind gets to his feet and nails Bret with a piledriver. And then Mankind and Vader begin to double team Austin. They both whip Austin into the ropes and Austin hits a double flying clothesline knocking both men down. Austin then picks up Mankind and nails him with the Stone Cold Stunner. Austin covers Mankind and gets the 3 count for his team. Winners: Stone Cold Steve Austin & Bret Hart
After the Match. Austin gets his hand raised but Bret gets to his feet and he is not happy about Austin winning the match. Austin then yells at Bret telling him that it's Bret's fault he hit him and that he carried the entire match himself. And Austin and Bret begin to hammer away at each other, these two can beat the hell out of each other even though they've already won the match, but wait a minute Vader's back in. Vader then hits Austin with a headbutt and gives Bret a right hand. And Terry Funk is on his way out and he's got a score to settle with Mankind. Funk and Mankind exchange blows on the entryway, these two can't stand each other, The Commentators inform the fans that Funk & Mankind will battle at No Way Out. But meanwhile back in the ring, Vader is still on Austin and Bret, Vader then taunts The Undertaker who is watching this. Undertaker gets in the ring and begins to stare down Vader, we know The Undertaker is going to be the special guest referee at No Way Out, And it must be Undertaker is scouting his competition here. Vader then grabs his title and raises it in The Undertaker's face and The Phenom grabs Vader by the throat and chokeslams him to the mat with authority. Taker then picks up the championship and raises it up, that may be his at WrestleMania 13. But wait a minute, Austin is back up and he nails Undertaker with the Stone Cold Stunner. Austin then snatches the belt off of Taker's hands and raises the championship up as well. Austin sees Bret get up and Austin nails Bret with the Stone Cold Stunner as well. Paul Bearer then checks on Vader who got chokeslammed, but Austin grabs Bearer and stuns him as well. Austin is on a stunner rampage. Austin then grabs the championship and he's leaving with it. Austin is leaving with the WWF Championship, That is Vader's property and the Rattlesnake has taken the Mastadon's Championship. Vader gets to his feet and shouts at Austin to give him his belt back, as the commentators sign us off for the 2-hour episode of RAW. They announce that Jesse Ventura has made a huge match for the show, and it will be Stone Cold vs Vader next week in a non-title match. And also, Shawn Michaels for the first time since The Royal Rumble will be here and he has a shocking announcement for the WWF fans, what will it be?. The Commentators sign us off with Stone Cold still holding Vader's WWF Championship Belt.

- Undertaker gains even more momentum by beating Bradshaw here on RAW heading not only into In Your House but into Mania 13 considering he did win the 1997 Royal Rumble Match in this diary and he is now the Special Guest Referee in the Triple Threat Match between the WWF Champion Vader, Bret "The Hitman" Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The winner of that match faces Taker at WrestleMania 13 and remember Taker is undefeated at WrestleMania. The man is 5-0 at WrestleMania. He has never lost at Mania so it begs the question of who wins that Triple Threat Match but I don't think Taker cares one way or the other who he faces at Mania so I know he will call it down the middle as a referee
- It seems here in this Attitude Era right off the bat The Headbangers are more or less getting a push here with Thrasher and Mosh going after the WWF Tag Team Championships specifically challenging the champions Owen Hart and The British Bulldog
- Furnas & LaFon going over Public Enemy by DQ because of Sycho Sid showing up and completely cleaning house destroying everybody as he destroys both teams single handedly all by himself...Sid is not only a monster but he is a damn lunatic on top of it he is psychotic which is what I love about Sid and the fact that he challenged Shawn and Michaels has still yet to answer his challenge it tells me that Sid is gonna continue his reign of terror tonight but who will be next?
- Sid's challenge gets answered not by Michaels but by Marc Mero...Mero may have a lot of guts trying to go up against Sid and he surprisingly took it to him but Sid going over just shows how much of a monster heel he is or has been but then after winning the match he completely destroys Marc Mero...well if that is gonna be the psychotic side of Sid we keep seeing then I love it...Michaels is gonna have to answer Sid's challenge for a match
- Rocky Maivia continues his push because not only did he last 50 minutes in the 1997 Royal Rumble Match here in this diary as the #2 entrant but Rocky now becomes the new #1 Contender for the WWF Intercontinental Championship beating Goldust all be it by countout but still Rocky he has to face Hunter Hearst Helmsley the reigning WWF Intercontinental Champion...so it looks like we get our first time ever match between Rock/HHH
- Ahmed Johnson going over Billy Gunn doesn't come as a surprise but I would have expected Billy Gunn to turn on Honky Tonk Man because ever since Billy has aligned himself with Honky...his losing streak has continued to grow and grow
- Austin and Bret going over the WWF Champion Vader and Mankind in the main event surprised me for the simple fact that I would have expected Austin to turn on Bret or vice versa with Bret turning on him and Vader and Mankind taking advantage but then seeing them turn on each other post match was to be expected and then it turning into an all out brawl with Funk coming out to get to Mankind and then Vader beating the holy hell out of both Austin and Bret and then Taker getting in on it and standing tall only to have Austin stun Taker...I couldn't believe it
- Austin then all of a sudden nailing Bret with a Stunner and then hitting Bearer with it and he actually takes Vader's WWF Championship and walks off with it...just for that I can see Vader destroying Austin softening him up before In Your House
- I can only imagine what Shawn Michaels' announcement will be

WCW NITRO RESULTS (2-3 and 2-10)
(2-3) Diamond Dallas Page D. Meng with the Diamond Cutter at 8:55. After the match. The NWO watched on with Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth announcing that they will have a surprise for Diamond Dallas Page after Randy's match with Eddie Guerrero. WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chris Jericho D. Chris Adams in a Non-Title Match at 9:19, after the match. Jericho said that Mysterio's victory last week over him was a fluke and Jericho told Mysterio that he will give Mysterio an opportunity to beat him next week and if Mysterio can beat him. Mysterio gains a Cruiserweight Championship Match with Jericho at Superbrawl. Featured an interview backstage with Lex Luger and The Giant who were announcing that they were teaming up to gain the WCW Tag Team Championship at Superbrawl against Nash and Hall and their first match as a tag team will be against The Harlem Heat. Scott Norton D. Jeff Jarrett at 6:30 with a DDT thanks to a distraction by Konnan. Lex Luger and The Giant D. Harlem Heat by DQ at 8:13 when The Eliminators interefered and attacked Luger and The Giant, The Eliminators then announced that they were the ones that demanded a WCW Tag Team Title Match last week, and they want to take on Lex Luger and The Giant for it at Superbrawl. Featured an interview with Roddy Piper saying that this rivalry between him and Hulk Hogan for the past 13 years had never really been settled, but at Starrcade. Piper proved he was more of a man than Hogan ever was, and February 24, 1997. Hogan will have no retreat and no surrender because Piper is going to bring prestigious back to the WCW Championship when he takes the WCW Title away from the NWO and he's not only taking the championship from Hogan, he's going to take Hogan's soul. Ric Flair D. Lord Steven Regal at 11:05 with a figure-four leg lock. After the Match. Syxx ran out and attacked Flair with the WCW United States Title Belt but as Syxx attempted another shot at the belt. Flair chopped away at Syxx and sent him flying from the ring. Glacier D. Prince Iaukea at 2:50 with a superkick. Randy Savage D. Eddie Guerrero at 11:36 with a flying elbow drop in another good match after Guerrero attempted a frog splash but Savage rolled out of the way in time and hit the elbow drop. After The Match. Savage brought Elizabeth to the ring with Elizabeth having a microphone in hand revealing the truth about Diamond Dallas Page as Elizabeth announced that DDP and Kimberly, which we know by now is Diamond Doll are really a couple and that they've been married for six years, Page then showed up and attacked Savage and then grabbed Elizabeth by the hair and threatened to piledrive her, but the NWO came out and attacked Page, Page did much as he could to fight the group off, but he was too outnumbered, then Roddy Piper came out with a steel chair in hand and was able to hit some NWO members with the chair but Hogan kicked the chair right in his face and Hogan continued to beat on Piper while Savage exposed the concrete floor and gave Page a piledriver on the concrete. Guerrero suddenly recovered and tried valiantly to take it to the NWO. But the NWO were all over Guerrero and Syxx nailed him with the U.S. Title Belt as well followed up with Hogan getting in Piper's face telling Piper at Superbrawl that Piper's wrestling career will be dead and then they spraypainted NWO on Piper's back as Nitro went off the air as the fans chanted for Sting but there was no sign of him.
(2-10) Nitro kicked off with a frustrated Diamond Dallas Page and Roddy Piper coming to the ring. Page was the first to speak saying that Savage went too far bringing up his personal life and saying that yes, him and Kimberly are a couple, and they were married six years ago. But Savage and Elizabeth did not have the right to bring up their relationship, This time Savage crossed a line, a line he couldn't cross and that he was going to kick Savage's ass at Superbrawl. Piper then spoke next saying that Hogan and the NWO had the balls to attack him and Page again last week and Hogan said that Piper wasn't going to make it to Superbrawl, well he is. Come hell or high water, and he was going to take the WCW Championship, but tonight. He and Page want to have a tag team match with Hogan and Savage tonight, without any NWO intereference. Only if Hogan and Savage accept. Rey Mysterio D. WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chris Jericho at 9:54 with a Seated Senton to earn a shot against Jericho at Superbrawl for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. WCW United States Champion Syxx D. Renegade at 5:35 with a Jumping Leg Drop off the top rope. Mean Gene Okerlund caught up backstage with Ric Flair and Okerlund told Flair that Flair was receiving a United States Championship Match against Syxx. Flair said that it's what he wanted, For too long, he hasn't had a WCW Singles Title since 1994, But at Superbrawl. He's going to become a champion again and that is winning the WCW United States Title. Lex Luger and The Giant and The Eliminators fought to a double countout at 11:10 when both men brawled outside of the ring. After The Match. The Outsiders came out and declared that they both lost so that means they aren't going to face them at Superbrawl until J.J. Dillon appeared and told Nash and Hall that they will defend the WCW Tag Team Titles against Lex Luger and The Giant and The Eliminators in a Triple Threat Match. Also featured an in-ring interview with Hogan and Savage saying that Savage had no choice but to exploit the secret he had against Page and as far as the challenge that Page and Piper put out, they accept tonight without any NWO intereference. Chris Benoit D. Lord Steven Regal at 10:13 with the Crippler Crossface Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero D. Atsushi Onita & Ultimo Dragon at 7:50 when Guerrero pinned Dragon with the frog splash. Ric Flair D. Mr. Wallstreet at 5:21 with the figure-four leg lock. Randy Savage and Hollywood Hogan D. Roddy Piper and Diamond Dallas Page in a tag team match at 12:29 with Hogan hitting Piper with the WCW World Heavyweight Title Belt, after the match. Sting showed up and appeared on the rafters chasing off Hogan and Savage with Savage whispering in Hogan's ear with Hogan replying and grabbing a microphone telling Sting that he has two weeks to decide whether he is with the New World Order or if he's not NWO. The choice is his. Sting looked on as Page and Piper looked shocked convincing Sting that Sting is on WCW's side and that the NWO are just playing him. Sting then walked away as Nitro went off the air.
