I know spam has the most selection by far but how do you get yours? The ones on spam are very expensive so do you custom your own or buy them from somewhere else? Hope this is in the right section.
The figure clothing store is what I'm talking about that starts with an R, sorry I didn't know it was spam.

Is there a tutorial on that somewhere around here? I'm not sure, but I think the best way to learn is to reverse engineer an existing piece of figure clothing that you want to make. Observe how it's stitched together and then use a seam ripper to take it apart. Make cardboard templates by tracing the separate pieces and then attempt to make your own. Like anything else, it takes a fair amount of practice and patience. The advantage of making everything yourself is that you can really tailor it to the exact figure you're working on. A one-size-fits-all pair of tights may have, say, a crotch that sits 1/4 inch too low on your particular figure, but at Mattel-scale, that's actually pretty significant and can throw off the entire appearance. I'd rather alter and re-alter a pair of tights (and sculpt down waists, boots, etc.) to achieve a perfect fit rather than throw on a pair of tights that weren't made for the exact figure and consequently look like cargo pants. But I am, admittedly, very obsessive .

There are quite a few people who make awesome figure gear. Ra lph just is the best hands down. I've bought gear from PWSPhil who is a member here. Also I've bought quite a few items from a friend of mine who sells a lot on ebay, Emming Custom Figure Clothing all top notch.

I never thought R's gear was excessively priced so much as I don't care for how some things are out of scale. T-shirts can look like ponchos and tights like Hammer pants. Often little touches like chains and accents on gear are also much bigger compared to their real-life counterparts. Not hating but when something is oversized it just looks like a kid wearing his dad's clothes to me. People seem to really like his gear though, he offers a wide variety, and I certainly can't pump it out as fast right now, so he's clearly doing something right. Also, I think it's bad form when I see auctions where the bulk of the work is gear but the seller doesn't give credit to R. If ppl are dumb enough to pay $300 for a figure with basically no customizations plus $15 worth of gear, I guess that's on them but I'm not comfortable doing that.

Never had those problems, then again you may have ordered Jakks stuff and didn't mention it was for Mattel figures, otherwise everything has always fit perfectly, but things like chains and those accents, can only be so small, you know?

No, not a case of ordering Jakks stuff for Mattel because we make all of our own gear. I'm going strictly by photos on his site. I see plenty of shirts that are not to scale. Here's an example: Note that IRL, the shirt sleeves are tight on his arms and end just above his biceps. R's version's sleeves are loose around his arms and end at the elbow. The neck hole is also wider and the entire thing is big enough that if you were to scale it up to human size, it would look like he's wearing some kind of short sleeve sweater. Again, I'm not ragging on him and I AM admittedly nitpicking. I know to a lot of people none of these are valid criticisms and may not even be noticeable. But I notice

Can someone tell me whether this is Mattel or Jakks? Not sure but I would guess Jakks. Not that you asked, but that mask looks too loose to me, like an executioner's hood There was a guy on this board (I think) that made beautiful tight-fitting luchador masks that were sewn using the classic 3-piece pattern. They really were miniature versions of the real thing and in a class by themselves.

Thanks, I figured it's Jakks just because of the figures boots and how big it looks but I wasn't sure. I want a Suicide figure but I thought that would be easier.
Who was the guy who made the masks if you know?
