ahhh, The Attitude Era. Brings back a lot of memories from this year. WWF finally going after WCW in the ratings. Mankind as WWF Champion and The Ministry of Darkness. Great Era from that year, Now it will be interesting to see how you do in this BTB. I'm also new here myself. I've already started my BTB. So let's hope this BTB of yours has potential, I will be watching and keeping an eye on this.

Interesting. I don't think I've seen you do a diary before, so this will be very intriguing to see, looking forward to more.
P.S. Val Venis as an upper midcarder? I disagree with that. Apart from that, cool.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback and I hope I deliver. I had to make the roster without EWR last night because it wouldn't load, but he is labeled as a midcarder actually so I will change that. My bad. I'm starting with the January 11th episode of RAW because if I started the week before the show would've looked so similar with Foley winning, I didn't feel like boring everybody with what would've been a rewrite of the actual events more or less.
And Heyman, expect some feedback from me soon, I was checking your earlier shows in your diary and was very impressed.

WWF RAW is WAR - January 11, 1999 - Houston, TX.
A video package recaps last week, where WWF Commissioner, Shawn Michaels revealed to Mr. McMahon that he would enter the Royal Rumble at #2 to begin with Stone Cold Steve Austin. McMahon later in the night set Mankind against Triple H in a Royal Rumble Qualifying Match and appointing his son, Shane McMahon as the Special Guest Referee. Shane ended up fast counting Mankind down, screwing him out of the Rumble. Mankind would get his revenge holding Shane hostage until Vince gave into his orders for a WWF Title shot in the Main Event in a No DQ match. McMahon at the last minute added a Lumberjack stipulation having The Corporation circle the ring, however D-Generation X would even things up for Mankind. The Rock almost had his championship retained until Stone Cold Steve Austin came out wielding a steel chair and bashed Rock over the skull with it, giving Mankind his first WWF Championship win.
- Pyro goes off as Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcome you to the broadcast. They mention that tonight we will hear from the brand new WWF Champion, Mankind for the very first time since winning the gold last week from The Rock. Also, Ken Shamrock will be defending his WWF Intercontinental Championship against Goldust in one on one action!
The Corporation Arrive Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon come down to the ring leading The Corporation consisting of former WWF Champion, The Rock, WWF Tag Team Champions, The Big Bossman and WWF Intercontinental Champion, Ken Shamrock, and their Corporate Bodyguard, Test. Round off the pact is the stooges, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson shoving Kane to the ring as they make fun of him. Mr. McMahon calls last week the darkest day in the World Wrestling Federation, calling Mankind the most undeserving WWF Champion in history. A pissed off Rock takes the microphone and says that last week Mankind didn't win the WWF Title, Mankind AND Stone Cold won the WWF Title. He tells Mankind that his title reign is going to be pathetic just like, because he's laying down the challenge for a rematch at the Royal Rumble. The Rock promises the kick Mankind's ass all over God's green earth and take back HIS WWF Championship. Shane McMahon takes the microphone and says that Austin isn't the only one to blame saying that those filthy degenerates, DX are to blame as well. Shane tells them that due to an unfortunate accident last week, the WWF Commissioner, Shawn Michaels is unable to be here tonight leaving them in charge and promising that punishment will be delivered to D-Generation X. Shane announces that tonight Triple H will face The Big Bossman in a No Disqualifications Match, Road Dogg will defend his WWF Hardcore Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson, Billy Gunn will face the Corporate Bodyguard, Test, and in tonight's Main Event, X-Pac will face KANE! Shane sarcastically wishes D-Generation X luck tonight before dismissing the group.

Gunn then fires off the ropes with a leg lariat, and goes for the Fame Asser but runs right into a Boot to the face! Test covers Gunn once again but only gets a two count for his trouble. Test goes for his Pump Handle Slam but Gunn fights out of it and takes down the big man with a sleeper hold slam. Gunn goes for the Fame Asser once again, but the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Ken Shamrock trips Gunn up coming off the ropes. Billy argues with Shamrock and turns around into another Boot to the face giving Test the victory in 4 minutes. After the match, Ken Shamrock and Test celebrate his victory as Billy Gunn is laid out cold from the boot.
- Backstage, “Sexual Chocolate” Mark Henry is with his tag team partner, D-Lo Brown. Brown is getting Henry psyched for their match with Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. However, Henry gets distracted off screen and walks over to four women talking to one another. Henry tries flirting with them, and they seem to be digging the big man. However, he’s cut off by The Godfather who asks Henry if he likes what he see’s and Henry agrees. Godfather says for a price Henry can have all he wants, and Henry accepts handing Godfather a stack of cash and walks off with the ladies.

Brown quickly plants him into the mat with the Sky High for a two count after JJ broke up the pin. Mark Henry finally tags himself in, and hits a corner splash on Hart, then plants Jarrett with a body slam. Henry then goes for one on Hart, but gets distracted by Debra on the apron, which allows Jarrett to plant Henry into the mat with the Stroke to score the win for his team in 6 minutes. He says that Terri is his lead actress, and tells Val Venis to go find his own star because she belongs to him. New WWF Champion, Mankind Speaks! The hot Houston crowd explodes as the WWF Champion, Mankind makes his way down to the ring The crowd chants “FOLEY” almost blowing the roof off the building. Mankind thanks the crowd, and thanks D-Generation X for having his back last week. And finally gives thanks to Stone Cold for helping him realize his childhood dream. Foley promises to not be a corporate sell-out champion, promising to defend the belt with honor calling himself a champion for the people. Michael Cole debates saying he’s a champion by the people as well. Mankind says that he’s living his boyhood dream saying that all of his blood, sweat, and tears he’s spilled was all made worth it last week when he became the brand new WWF Champion.
Suddenly the music of “The Corporate Champion” hits as the former WWF Champion, The Rock came out from the back to a loud “ROCKY SUCKS” chant. The Rock tells the crowd to know their roll and to shut their mouths, because the real WWF Champion is speaking. The Rock tells Mankind that he’s not living his boyhood dream, he’s just plain dreaming if he thinks he actually beat “The Great One” for the belt last week on RAW. The Rock says that both he and Mankind know that if it wasn’t for Austin the WWF Title would still be around his waist. The Rock tells Mankind that if he got to work on time, he’d know that The Rock laid down the challenge to a rematch at the Royal Rumble. Mankind tells The Rock that he was informed of the challenge, but hasn’t made up his mind. Mankind tells The Rock that he doesn’t know if he deserves the WWF Title, let alone a title shot. Mankind says that he doesn’t remember seeing The Rock bleed, sweat, or cry when he defended the belt because The Corporation was always there to save his cocky ass.
The Rock tells Mankind that he promises on his mothers future grave that The Corporation will not interfere in the match at the Royal Rumble, saying that Mankind has his word. Mankind says that no interference is close but still not good enough for a rematch. Mankind says that if The Rock wants his rematch, he’s going to have to promise Mankind blood, sweat, and tears at the Royal Rumble. The Rock looks confused at the unusual request, asking Mankind what he means. Mankind says that at the Rumble he wants to hurt Rock and make him bleed but doesn’t want to worry about disqualifications. Mankind challenges The Rock one on one, no interference in a Non-Sanction Street Fight. Because when he does with The Rock, his Hollywood good looks are going to be gone, promising he’s going disfigure The Rock and doesn’t want to worry about lawyers afterward. The Rock reluctantly accepts the challenge, promising that he is going to make sure that after the Royal Rumble that everybody is going to forget about Mankind and his fifteen minutes of fame as the WWF Champion.

HHH then goes for the Pedigree early but Bossman counters with a big back body drop sending Hunter over the top rope and to the floor. HHH gets the better of the exchange and takes down Bossman with a flying knee finally. HHH then sets Bossman up for his Pedigree but the Corporation’s Bodyguard, Test comes running out from the back, and distracts HHH from the apron. Bossman regroups and plants Hunter into the mat with the Bossman Slam for a near fall. Test gets back up on the apron, and argues with the referee as Bossman tries to take advantage of the distraction by grabbing his police baton but Chyna stops him with a low blow. HHH follows up with the Pedigree to score the hard fought win in 9 minutes.
- After the match, HHH celebrates his victory but its short lived as Test attacks him from behind. Test stomps away at the already fatigued Triple H as Chyna cuts him off.
