WrestleMania is upon and it shows with the count out and dq finishes in a couple of matches but that's acceptable because its the go home show to Mania and everyone involved needs to be booked as strong as possible.
The only thing I didn't really like was how in back to back matches we heard Ultimate Warriors voice and then in the next match we heard Mankind's voice same angle for both matches wasn't needed.
Highlight of the post was the video package looking back at the history between Owen, Bret & HBK. My opinion on this match hasn't really changed where it will undoubtedly be a great match I think you should have gone with Bret and Shawn as I have mentioned before. I hope Bret retains in this scenario.
But overall I am looking forward to WrestleMania not agreeing with your choice of Main Event aside I still rate you as one of the better bookers on the board and I am looking forward to see where you take this at Mania and beyond.

WWF WrestleMania XII - March 31, 1996 Arrowhead Pond - Anaheim, CA [Promotional Poster A | Promotional Poster B] [Sponsored by Tyco R/C: Maximum Heat!]

| WWF Free 4-All - "The Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Elizabeth Hilden) vs "Make A Difference" Fatu [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Over the last year of being a part of the World Wrestling Federation, the high society snob known as Hunter Hearst Helmsley has targeted many WWF superstars for their culture, their appearance, and the lack of thought put into their appearance - but after weeks of trying to civilise former Headshrinker Fatu, "Make A Difference" has made a stand against the Greenwich resident. The Samoan was here to fight and put the "Blue Blood" in his place. Hunter Hearst Helmsley brought his valet Elizabeth Hilden out to ringside, but as soon as the music of "Make A Difference" Fatu hit, he came out to the ring with a head of storm, not even giving Helmsley enough time to get his jacket off, quickly ripping it from the back of Helmsley with a snapmare across the ring. Fatu followed up with a big splash in the corner, Helmsley rolled out to the ring quickly, as Elizabeth looked quite concerned for Helmsley's well-being - not that Fatu gave Helmsley that opportunity. Fatu delivered several uppercuts to Helmsley and rolled him back into the ring to continue the attack, but Helmsley quickly cut him off, delivering several well-rounded punches to the upper body of the Samoan. Helmsley and Fatu got into a fightfight, culminating with a vicious slap from "Make A Difference"! Fatu chopped away at Helmsley and sent him off into the ropes for a sidewalk slam, but the eagerness of Fatu might have gotten the better of him, as sixteen thousands fans in the Arrowhead Pond quickly got to their seats to witness the first match of the evening on the WWF Free 4-All. Fatu soon took his eye off of the ball, as Hunter got in an eye rake on Fatu, before punching quite low on the body of the husky Samoan. Helmsley gained momentum as he sent Fatu off the ropes into a high knee, and Helmsley mockingly curtsied for the disapproving fans. Hunter slowed down the pace of the match by stomping away at Fatu and keeping the larger opponent down for as long as possible, as Helmsley soon locked in a tight sleeper hold before continuing to shout abuse at the hecklers in the busy crowd. The fans in Anaheim were behind Fatu, as "Make A Difference" soon battled back, picking Helmsley up in a display of raw power, Fatu dropping Hunter with a big Samoan drop! Fatu covered for a near fall, as the fans rallied behind the Samoan for more. Helmsley stumbled into numerous clotheslines and chops, as the next-generation Samoan set up for the Samoan Shuffle Kick - just for Helmsley to slip through the middle rope onto the apron! Fatu tried to grab Helmsley and pull him back into the ring, but Helmsley grabbed Fatu and caught him over the top rope with the ring rope! Fatu was taken out of focus, and Helmsley capitalised eagerly, delivering a devastating Pedigree to give the "Blue Blood" the first win of the night! "The Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley def. "Make A Difference" Fatu [06:56]
The crowd in Anaheim, California were disapproving to loud boos, as the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley's hand was raised in victory after a competitive match against "Make A Difference" Fatu moments ago. Helmsley invited Elizabeth Hilden into the ring to raise his hand by the Greenwich native's side, when suddenly "Make A Difference" turned Helmsley around and began to strike him several more times! Jerry Lawler commented on how Fatu was such a savage and didn't deserve to share a ring with Hunter or Hilden, as Fatu delivered the Samoan Shuffle Kick to a great response from the Anaheim crowd! Fatu stood tall over Helmsley as Hilden aided to Helmsley. |
| 1 | The opening signature aired, promoting the World Wrestling Federation. Following this, childhood photos of various WWF superstars were shown, as Todd Pettingill opened the show with a voiceover documenting how many WWF superstars have grown up with the World Wrestling Federation, have all strived for nights like tonight, where they get a chance to prove themselves, and tonight they get to do it, before things became turbulent along the way. Bret "Hitman" Hart, the fighting champion in the WWF, the man on top of the mountain has some serious competition when it comes to his younger brother "the King of Harts" - a man poised to fulfil his destiny and become the WWF Champion on the biggest stage of them all, by defeating his older brother - and the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, a man that has gone through injury upon career-threatening injury, and a series of all-time lows in the past year - but tonight is finally his chance to fulfil his boyhood dream, to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion at last. Tonight, three of the best stars in the WWF will collide in the Triple Threat - one fall to end it all, three men that are free to brawl. Tonight, we can expect to see heroes made, and dreams made...or lost! The opening video graphic aired, introducing WWF WrestleMania XII, before we cut to the packed-out Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California - where pyrotechnics were going off all over the arena. Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler introduced us to the show, welcoming us to the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania XII! They talked about how big a night this is, each of the commentators talking about the WWF Championship match and the unpredictability of it, as well as the battles to be seen between the Undertaker and Mankind - and the return of the Ultimate Warrior as he is ready to do battle with "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel. What a night ahead, in the sold-out Arrowhead Pond.
| 00:03 | 2 | The British Bulldog (w/James E. Cornette) vs "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] After weeks of disrespect shown by Camp Cornette, Ahmed Johnson was finally in a position to take down the strongest member of the illustrious faction of James E. Cornette, as Cornette had a lot riding on his clients tonight, with a match between the "Mastodon" Vader and his former client Yokozuna still to come - a bout where if Yokozuna wins, Cornette would have to get in the ring with him. Here however, Cornette seemed to be confident by the side of the Bulldog, and the two tough men stared each other down in the opening moments, the newcomer Ahmed being talked trash to by Bulldog before Johnson got into it, the two big men trading blows as the fans began to cheer for Ahmed and boo for Bulldog! Ahmed kept the pace quick, as he caught Bulldog with a quick and rapid shoulder block, followed up by a second one before Johnson caught Bulldog again with a dropkick out of nowhere! Bulldog kept in the corner, as the fans in Anaheim began to eat up what the "Pearl River Powerhouse" was making. Bulldog and Ahmed hooked up once again, this time with Bulldog inviting Ahmed out for a test of strength, and the battle seemed to be extremely even, but just as Ahmed began to gain some momentum against the fellow bodybuilder, Bulldog kicked Ahmed in the knee and laid in several hard rights all of the way from Manchester, England, into the head of Ahmed! The crowd booed as Bulldog the narcissist flexed for the Anaheim crowd. Jim Ross commented on how the veteran was taking his eye off of the ball here, and Ahmed tried to fight back on his knees, delivering several stomach punches to Bulldog before he cut Johnson off with a big elbow over the dome! Bulldog then went to work on that knee he kicked out from underneath Ahmed previously, dropping several elbows over the side of it, and trying to pull away at it, as fans in the arena tried to bring Ahmed to life, but just as Ahmed trying to force Bulldog out of the hold, the more experience superstar slipped out of it and continued to go to work on Johnson by stomping away at the raised knee! Bulldog viciously picked the weakened leg of Ahmed up and slammed it knee-first into the canvas, before gloating for the fans to boo him one more time. Bulldog soon tried to go for what seemed to be a figure-four leglock, but Ahmed rolled Bulldog up for a very close near fall! Ahmed slowly got back to his feet and attempted to storm into Bulldog with a clothesline, but Bulldog didn't go down! Bulldog shoved Ahmed back and clothesline Ahmed himself, but Ahmed then didn't go down! The two exchanged clotheslines to no reaction before Bulldog suddenly ducked one and gave Ahmed a bridging German suplex for a near fall! Ahmed was running low on stamina, as Bulldog decided to go after the knee once again, applying the figure-four leglock successfully this time! Ahmed was riving in pain, but after much cheering from the capacity crowd in Anaheim, Ahmed managed to turn it over, much to the shock of Jim Cornette! Bulldog was the one in pain this time, as Ahmed applied more and more pressure to the Englishman! But luckily, Bulldog tagged onto the bottom rope. Ahmed timidly got to his feet before signalling for the Pearl River Plunge, but not before Jim Cornette got onto the apron! Ahmed was distracted and Bulldog connected with a northern lights suplex, to which Ahmed kicked out. Bulldog went for the Running Powerslam on Ahmed, but Johnson slipped out and went for the gorilla press slam on the Bulldog! Bulldog managed to somehow slip out of it, before connecting with a chop block to that weakened knee! Bulldog then rolled Ahmed up with the tights, giving Bulldog the cheap win! The British Bulldog def. "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson [08:41] **1/4
The crowd booed as the British Bulldog's hand was raised in victory, as the Englishman had defeated Ahmed Johnson and beaten the newcomer's undefeated streak! The Bulldog taunted for the fans in Anaheim, as James E. Cornette got into the ring to raise Bulldog's hand in victory before leaving: Cornette being one for one out of three so far on this illustrious four event pay-per-view. As they left, the "Pearl River Powerhouse" received a positive reaction from the Arrowhead Pond for his efforts. | 00:14 | 3 | In the backstage area, Todd Pettingill was standing by with the WWF Tag Team Champions "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas, as Pettingill asked Jarrett and Douglas about the odds of them leaving the Arrowhead Pond as WWF Tag Team Champions. Jarrett put his arm around Pettingill and told him that he knew they made it when they released two very successful singles, "With My Baby Tonight" and "Hearts of Gold". They won the WWF Tag Team Championships, and have successfully defended them on multiple occasions - but winning a Slammy for the Worst Dressed is an insult to everything "Double J" stands for. Jarrett and Douglas talked about how angry it made them to be nominated for such a prize, calling themselves future legends to grace the World Wrestling Federation - as opposed to his opponents, the Godwinns. Jarrett talked about how they represented true country spirit, and tonight, they were going to make Henry, Phineous, Hillbilly Jim and even their little piggy kick the bucket! | 00:15 | 4 | WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman, "Sycho" Sid & "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (w/Ted Dibiase) vs Jake "the Snake" Roberts, "the Native American" Tatanka & "the Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega (w/Revelations) [+00:03 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase has definitely assembled a masterpiece of a faction, after recruiting the former 1-2-3 Kid, and leading him to the WWF Intercontinental Championship; after reintroducing "Sycho" Sid, the fierce giant of the World Wrestling Federation; and after unveiling the highly intimidating man of ice cold stares and fiery displays of brutality, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. However in recent weeks, they have had three rivals, by the names of Savio Vega - the former friend of Sean Waltman before he sided with the Million Dollar Corporation; the legendary Jake "the Snake" Roberts; and a former member of the Million Dollar Corporation himself, Tatanka. The fans were ready for a barnburner tonight, as Steve Austin started things off with the "Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega, Austin cockily talking trash to Vega in the opening moments, but Savio fired away with several right hands before taking Austin down with an armdrag! Vega got the quick tag to Tatanka, as we saw a very quick display of athleticism and teamwork by the opposers of the Corporation, Tatanka continuing to pound away at Austin and stretch and bend away at the arm of "Stone Cold" as Ted Dibiase watched on intently. As Tatanka applied several wristlocks on Austin, Austin managed to break out with a rather arrogant right hand to the temple, dazing Tatanka. Austin ran the "Native American" into the ropes before catching him with a big knee to the stomach of Tatanka! Austin continued to stomp away at the former Corporation member, before tagging in "Sycho" Sid to loud boos, who got in the ring and continued to kick away at the head of Tatanka, not allowing the "Native American" to get up and escape the punishment. Sid grabbed Tatanka by the hair and delivered a big headbutt to Tatanka - but the "Native American" tried to escape with a big double-handed chop - just for Sid to pick him up and body slam him almost half way across the ring! Sid tagged in Sean Waltman, who delivered several sharp kicks to the abdomen of Tatanka in the corner before quickly tagging in Sid again! The Million Dollar Corporation were vying to corner Tatanka and keep him away from his allies before putting him away, and all three members of the Corporation worked efficiently to batter away at Tatanka, Austin taking Tatanka down to the mat with the Million Dollar Dream, before the WWF Intercontinental Champion clocked the "Native American" with a super kick! Dibiase laughed it up at ringside as Jake Roberts and Savio Vega were vying to get the tag! Jerry Lawler meanwhile continued to insult the legend Jake Roberts from ringside, after beer bottling Roberts in the head last Monday night. The fans chanted for Jake "the Snake", as Tatanka finally broke free of a chokehold by "Sycho" Sid in the corner, and kicked him in the gut, slamming him with the Native American Slam! Tatanka slowly got to his corner, as did Sid - but as Sean Waltman dashed into the ring, Savio Vega got the tag! Vega dashed in and straight away caught the Kid with a clothesline, and another one! Vega ran Waltman into the ropes and went for the Caribbean Kick, but Waltman got the tag to "Stone Cold"! Waltman was nailed with the Caribbean Kick, but as Vega went to cover, Austin dropped a forearm over the head of Vega! Austin stomped away at Vega, and locked in that Million Dollar Dream again, Sid soon getting the tag - this match back into square one with the Million Dollar Corporation working away at Vega! Sid seemed in the position to put Vega away with the Powerbomb - but Vega jumped out of it and caught Sid with another Caribbean Kick! Sid was dazed, and he turned around to receive a huge right hand from Tatanka, followed up by one by Jake Roberts, and Vega caught him on the bridge of the nose with a second Caribbean Kick! Sid was finally down, and Vega slowly reached over, getting the tag to Jake "the Snake" Roberts for the first time in this match! Roberts met Steve Austin in the middle of the ring, the two trading blows, but Roberts got the better of him using his experience - Roberts delivering a powerslam to Steve Austin! Roberts then met Sean Waltman in the ring with several jabs to the jaw of the WWF Intercontinental Champion, until "Sycho" Sid regained consciousness and tried to gang up on Waltman, when Tatanka and Vega got in there and evened the odds! Sid and Tatanka brawled out to ringside as did Waltman and Vega - but meanwhile Steve Austin went for the Million Dollar Dream one more time, just for Roberts to somehow slip out, connecting with the DDT out of nowhere, giving Roberts the perfect return to the World Wrestling Federation! Jake "the Snake" Roberts, "the Native American" Tatanka & "the Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega def. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, "Sycho" Sid & WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman [12:23] **
The crowd cheered loudly as Jerry "the King" Lawler was beside himself at ringside! Lawler was upset about Jake Roberts scoring the win, nonetheless the Million Dollar Corporation falling to defeat! Sean Waltman and "Sycho" Sid knelt at ringside, not believing that they had suffered defeat at the hands of their opponents! "Stone Cold" Steve Austin rolled out of the ring, whilst Jake "the Snake" Roberts had unleashed Revelations to let go on Steve Austin! Roberts' hand was raised in victory alongside Savio Vega and Tatanka, Roberts in the centre of attention whilst Lawler was still beside himself, ranting about how Roberts did not deserve this. | 00:31 | 5 | A video package aired, reviewing the recent events that have taken place at the WrestleMania Fan Fest this past week, from celebrity Softball featuring the stars of the World Wrestling Federation, to public appearances in the Anaheim Marriot, to the WWF 1996 Slammy Awards that emanated last night, WrestleMania so far has been a weekend to remember. | 00:32 | 6 | A video package aired, narrated by Todd Pettingill, highlighting the rivalry between the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon and the "Bizarre One" Goldust. Ramon was a successful WWF Intercontinental Champion, defeating the so-called bad guys of the World Wrestling Federation, left, right and centre. But Razor soon became getting distracted and frustrated by letters and gifts presented to him on his way to the ring every night - signed from a secret admirer. On January 29, 1996, it was revealed that Goldust was the man behind the creepy messages, and Goldust cost Ramon his WWF Intercontinental Championship, ending Razor's reign. Goldust continued to play mind games with Ramon, seducting him and attacking him at every corner. The two even collided at last month's In Your House event, where Goldust managed to defeat Ramon with assistance from Marlena. But after all of the mind games, causing Razor to lose it all - his motivation, his machismo, and his gold, Ramon has a chance to regain it tonight in this falls count anywhere match - and Ramon wants to make a man out of the "Bizarre One"! | 00:34 | 7 | In the backstage area, Dok Hendrix was standing by with the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon, as Hendrix wanted to get some pre-match comments from the former WWF Intercontinental Champion before his encounter with the "Bizarre One" Goldust. Razor cut Hendrix off, talking about how he has waited since January 28th for this night - the night he lost the WWF Intercontinental title to Sean Waltman because of Goldust. After weeks of being stalked and sent love letters by Goldust, for him to come out and cost him his title like that was insulting - and admittedly the "Bad Guy" lost his cool. Ramon talked about how he lost his oozing machismo, but after everything that has happened, he is certain that tonight is the night. Tonight is the night for revenge against the "Bizarre One". It's no holds barred, it's falls count anywhere - this fight is one that the Arrowhead Pond will remember, because tonight is the night where Goldust finally founds his longlost manhood. Ramon aggressively threw his toothpick at the camera before leaving, a motivated man.
| 00:35 | 8 | Falls Count Anywhere - "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon vs "The Bizarre One" Goldust (w/Marlena) [+00:03 for entrances; +00:03 for pre-match; +00:01 for aftermath] "The Bad Guy" has waited so long for this opportunity - to let loose on Goldust without anything stopping him. "The Bizarre One" has gotten inside of the head of the "Bad Guy", and Razor Ramon has had enough of it. Goldust's mind games seemed to not matter at all to Razor tonight, in this no holds barred environment, as Razor hit the ring first with a head full of steam, ready for competition tonight on the grandest stage of them all. However as Goldust slowly approached the ring in his sepia lighting, and his wig and his robe - sided with Marlena on his arm a cigar in mouth, Goldust suddenly got the shakes, and attempted to stall the match from happening to even more boos. Razor seemed patient initially, as Goldust slowly walked around the ringside area, but Razor soon had enough, slipping out of the ring as Goldust taunted to the capacity crowd, and Ramon turned Goldust around and laid into him with several hard right hands to the face of Goldust! Goldust attempted to break away from it with an eye rake, attempting to climb over the guard railings into the crowd, but Ramon caught him, pulling him back inside right onto the floor! Razor buried Goldust in a series of right hands, the "Bad Guy" not allowing Goldust any let up in this brawl as Marlena watched on almost praying, hoping for Goldust to be alright. Razor picked Goldust up to receive a body shot, and Goldust began to make a comeback, delivering a hard slap across the face of Ramon before attempting to send him head-first into the ring post - but it backfired, and Ramon sent Goldust into the ring post! Ramon taunted for the fans before pursuing Goldust further - but Goldust used Marlena as a shield, launching Marlena at Razor! Goldust then rushed at Ramon with a clothesline, sending Ramon down and almost knocking his own wife, Marlena down as well! Goldust stroked his chest as Ramon remained down on the floor before getting down to his knees and choking the "Bad Guy"! Goldust soon carted Ramon to his feet and propped him into the ring for the first time in this match, as the bell officially sounded starting the match. Goldust continued to choke Razor further, before covering Ramon trying to go for a very quick three-count for a near fall. Goldust argued with the referee, before Ramon suddenly fought back, sitting up and delivering several lefts and rights before getting up and sending Goldust into the ropes for a big clothesline! Goldust immediately rolled out of the ring, as Razor taunted Goldust and Marlena; Marlena attempted to help Goldust to his feet just for Razor to get in the way, pounding on Goldust's upper body. Goldust fought back as they fought near the aisle way, Razor attempted to send Goldust reeling into the ring steps, but Goldust reversed it and the "Bizarre One" sent him right into the steel steps! Goldust tried to regain air, unorthodoxly rubbing his chest as he did it. Goldust then continued to beat on Razor, slamming his head right into the ring steps behind his head, and Goldust was now all about manipulating the "Bad Guy". Goldust tried to choke out Razor further, but Ramon poked Goldust in the eye, Razor shoving Goldust away from him before picking him up, and delivering a big fallaway slam on the aisleway! Goldust went sailing up the aisleway, as Razor slowly got to his feet, choosing not to go for the cover but to instead bury the "Bizarre One" in even more lefts and rights. Razor soon picked Goldust up and sent him spine-first into the guard railings, Razor continuing to attack Goldust but the "Bizarre One" kicked Ramon down south! Razor cupping his genitals, Goldust climbed over the guard rail, but Razor was in hot pursuit as Razor caught up to Goldust in the aisleway. Goldust kicked Razor in the gut and sent him into a wall, before taking a steel chair from a fan and connecting with a chair shot over the spine of the former WWF Intercontinental Champion! Goldust then found a television cable and wrapped it around the throat of the "Bad Guy", choking Ramon even more! The fans cheered for Razor, and Ramon fought back an eye rake for Goldust - anything goes in this match! Goldust tried to run from Ramon, but Razor caught him once again, picking him up and tossing him over the guard rail into the personnel area near the entrance way! Goldust quickly but timidly crawled for the tunnel leading backstage, but as always Razor went after him, wanting more of Goldust! As Goldust reached the backstage area, he found a nearby pipe against a wall and sluggishly slammed it into the gut of the Miami resident, delivering an uppercut out of desperation. Goldust called Razor a "son of a b*tch" before holding him up against a wall and slapping Ramon insultingly across the face! Goldust was in control, as he went to grab the long lead pipe, but Razor saw it coming and clothesline Goldust down! Razor shouted at the "Bizarre One" as he picked up the lead pipe, going to use it on Goldust just for Goldust to kick him in the head from the floor! Goldust then got to his feet and brought Razor over to a nearby equipment-filled table, slamming him face-first into it; but Razor responded with one of his own. The two traded shots from the table before Razor low blowed Goldust this time! Ramon placed Goldust onto the table and buried him in lefts and rights, Ramon then choking Goldust out! Goldust then grabbed a nearby television monitor and slammed Razor with it, knocking Ramon out as he collapsed from the table and onto the concrete floor. Goldust quickly covered, but Razor managed to kick out! Goldust nailed Razor with more right hands as Razor had a tiny cut on his forehead from the monitor combined with the punches from his opponent, as Goldust picked Razor up and attempted the Curtain Call right there on the concrete, but Razor broke out and managed to suplex Goldust onto the concrete! Razor covered for a near fall, before picking Goldust up without giving the "Bizarre One" time to breathe. Razor dragged Goldust back through the tunnel, as the fans cheered upon seeing the two brawlers returning to the Arrowhead Pond, as Razor pushed Goldust down before rolling him down the aisleway. Razor and Goldust traded lefts and rights midway down the aisle, as Goldust picked Razor up for the inverted atomic drop, Razor blocking it and sending Goldust into the ring apron gut-first. Razor went to attack Goldust further, but Goldust had a fire entinguisher hidden underneath the ring, shooting foam into the face of Ramon! Goldust covered, but Ramon kicked out at two. Goldust picked Razor up and got him into the ring before slowly slipping into the ring behind him. Razor went for the bulldog from the second rope, but as soon as he jumped off the second rope, Goldust caught him with the inverted atomic drop, before planting a lipbite on him! Razor clutched his bottom lip before slapping Goldust to the canvas! Razor delivered a bulldog to Goldust before setting up for the Razor's Edge! Goldust managed to slip out and kick Ramon in the crotch one more time, before going for the Curtain Call, but Razor reversed it, slamming Goldust! Goldust managed to regain momentum with help from a distraction from Marlena on the apron, allowing Goldust to send Razor into the corner. The "Bizarre One" went to the second turnbuckle and mockingly rubbed his "lower abdomen" near the face of Ramon going for the punches in the corner, but Razor ducked Goldust's legs, and delivered the Razor's Edge! Ramon covered, one-two-three! "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon def. "the Bizarre One" Goldust in a Falls Count Anywhere match [16:25] ***
The fans in Anaheim cheered loudly as the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon had finally defeated the "Bizarre One" Goldust tonight at WrestleMania XII! Marlena quickly slid into the ring to aid to Goldust, as Razor wiped blood from his forehead, celebrating for the fans in the Arrowhead Pond! The "Bad Guy" was victorious, as he stood tall over Goldust, the "Bad Guy"s oozing machismo having been restored! | 00:58 | 9 | An advertisement aired, reviewing the history of WrestleMania. After eleven years of historic events and dreams made or shattered forever, tonight is the night for three men - it's time for a new chapter in this New Generation. | 00:59 | 10 | In the backstage area Todd Pettingill was standing by in the locker room of the "Mighty" Yokozuna, once again reunited with his mentor and manager, Mr Fuji. Pettingill wanted to get a few comments from Yokozuna, who was sat bandaging his previously broken ankle, after weeks of Yokozuna not being present on Monday Night RAW or Superstars. Fuji started off, speaking in broken English that tonight he would crush Jim Cornette tonight. Yokozuna then spoke in his tough, deep voice about how he has been ordered not to speak for so long, ordered to be the puppet to James E. Cornette for so long - and after two years of that, he decided that he had finally been enough. He's seen what Cornette has done, and taken him out of the equation to allow Vader to get into the equation, and the "Mastodon" is a big, big man. But he's no match for the former two-time World Wrestling Federation Champion! Yokozuna vowed that tonight he would prove that the WWF is not big enough for the both of them, and that when he gets his hands on Cornette, and 600+ pounds crashes down on his chest with the Banzai, we won't be hearing James E. Cornette's nagging, stupid voice anymore either! Yokozuna and Fuji left the room, motivated for the upcoming match. | 01:00 | 11 | A video package aired, reviewing Bret "Hitman" Hart's rise to glory in the World Wrestling Federation, starting off as a student of the sport under tutelage of his father, Stu Hart up in Stampede Wrestling, tortured for hours in the infamous Calgary Dungeon. Hart then started off in the World Wrestling Federation in 1986, teaming with Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart in the Hart Foundation, rising through the ranks and becoming the WWF Tag Team Champions on two occasions - one of the greatest tag teams in the history of sports entertainment. Bret then broke out into singles action, becoming a two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion; and then one of the leaders of the New Generation, a three-time World Wrestling Federation Champion, and one of the greatest fighting champions in the WWF. Bret has proven himself worthy of the title the "Best There Is, the Best There Is and the Best There Ever Will Be", and tonight, Bret plans to add another chapter to his already illustrious career by retaining the WWF Championship in his second WrestleMania main event appearance. | 01:03 | 12 | WWF Tag Team Championship - "Double J" Jeff Jarrett & Agent Dean Douglas (c) vs The Godwinns (w/Hillbilly Jim) [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The Godwinns have previously defeated the WWF Tag Team Champions, but tonight was the chance for "Double J" and his Agent, the former educator, Dean Douglas to take back their dignity against the hog farmers from Arkansas and retain the gold on the biggest stage of the WWF calendar year. Henry O. Godwinn and Phineas I. Godwinn were acompanied to the ring by their manager and mentor, Hillbilly Jim, and having a hoedown in anticipation of this match, seemingly prepared and full of life for this upcoming match with the so-called "true country boys" in the World Wrestling Federation. Jeff Jarrett confidently strutted down to the ring, and did so in the ring as well, when about to square up with Phineas, but that's when Phineas got bored and decided to start clobbering the country music star instead, sending him down with several haymakers, Phineas showing off his fiery attitude in this one. Phineas was restrained by the referee, as Jarrett quickly tagged in his Agent. Dean Douglas then started strutting as well, having picked up another mannerism of "Double J"s arsenal. Douglas tried to matwrestle with the big Southerner, which made for a big mistake, as Phineas went on the offense once again, giving Douglas a big back elbow coming off the ropes! Douglas rolled out of the ring, and Jarrett went after him to try and get a strategy going, the two huddling on the aisleway - but Hillbilly Jim and his pet pig wouldn't allow that to happen, the pig chasing after the WWF Tag Team Champions! Jarrett and Douglas got back into the ring, settling themselves up for a big double flapjack from Phineas! Phineas went back after Douglas, delivering the ten punches in the corner and tagging in Henry, who continued to fire away at the Agent with several fierce body shots. Henry continued to go on the offense on Dean before Douglas wisely dropkicked Henry in the knee of the near-300 pounder, quickly going to work on it by stomping away at him and trying to keep him down and off of his feet. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett soon got the tag, and he began dropping knees and elbow on it, occasionally returning to strutting for the booing fans in attendance and mocking Phineas and Hillbilly Jim, who watched on in discontent. Jarrett and the Agent continued to double-team the knee and make consistent tags, Jim Ross crediting them for the work that made them the WWF Tag Team Champions, despite not liking their methods. Jarrett soon went to lock in the Figure-Four Leglock, but Hillbilly Jim got on the apron with his pig in his arms; and with the referee distracted, Phineas slipped into the ring and clocked Jarrett with what appeared to be the shoe of Hillbilly Jim! Sole in face, Jarrett went down, as Phineas slipped back out of the ring and got on the apron, and Henry began moving, allowing the tag to be made! Phineas went in a house on fire, clearing the ring of Dean Douglas and clobbering Jeff Jarrett with some sluggish lefts and rights! Phineas and Henry soon double-teamed Jarrett preparing the Slop Drop, but that's when Dean Douglas slipped into the ring and slammed the acoustic guitar of Jeff Jarrett's into the bad knee of Henry O. Godwinn! The fans booed, as the referee had no choice but to call for the bell. The Godwinns def. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett & Agent Dean Douglas by disqualification; Jarrett and Douglas retain the WWF Tag Team Championship [07:49] *3/4
The crowd booed as Phineas I. Godwinn scared Dean Douglas off, before picking Jeff Jarrett up and tossing him over the top rope! "Double J" and the Agent cowered up the aisleway with the WWF Tag Team Championship belts and the broken acoustic guitar, as Henry O. Godwinn seemed to be in a bad way with his knee, as Hillbilly Jim aided him in the ring. The Godwinns had won, but Jarrett and Douglas had unfairly gotten away with the gold! | 01:14 | 13 | An advertisement aired, promoting the next WWF pay-per-view extravaganza, WWF In Your House, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, April 28, 1996. | 01:15 | 14 | A video package as narrated by Vince McMahon aired, reviewing the past between Yokozuna and James E. Cornette - starting back in 1993 when the dominant World Wrestling Federation Champion Yokozuna and his mentor Mr Fuji teamed with Cornette to make Yokozuna even bigger than before, guiding him to the WWF Tag Team Championships with Owen Hart, and leading to the formation of the ever-dominant Camp Cornette. However over time, the attitude of Jim Cornette, Owen Hart and the British Bulldog led to Yokozuna being the scapegoat, blaming him for losing the WWF Tag Team Championships, losing to Bret "Hitman" Hart, ruining the invincible prestige of Camp Cornette as a faction. And soon enough, the "Mighty" Yokozuna branched out, clearing out Camp Cornette. Yokozuna began to talk in English on television, being a free man with his own agenda and not another one of Cornette's clones. But Camp Cornette overpowered the 600-pounder, shattering his ankle - with the aid of Cornette's newest acquisition - the 450-pound "Mastodon" Vader. Being on a streak since his debut in January, Vader has gone undefeated, tearing through everyone in his way; including WWF President Gorilla Monsoon. Vader was placed under house arrest, but recently got let off by interim President, Mr Perfect. Tonight at WrestleMania, one tonnes overall will collide in the ring, and in the end, one man will prevail. Is the WWF big enough for the both of them? Will Vader prove himself worthy as the toughest, biggest man in the company - or will Yokozuna prevail victorious, earning himself one more match, one sweet reward in going one-on-one with James E. Cornette? | 01:17 | 15 | If Yokozuna wins, he faces James E. Cornette - "The Mastodon" Vader (w/James E. Cornette) vs "Mighty" Yokozuna (w/Mr Fuji) [+00:03 for entrances; +00:02 for aftermath] This match was two months in the making, as their first encounter was what drove Yokozuna to grow apart from James E. Cornette's faction, the "Mighty" Yokozuna and the "Mastodon" Vader first coming face-to-face back at the Royal Rumble, getting each other eliminated at the same time in the process. Yokozuna came out to the ring with a more serious face than he usually does, and the intensity on the face of Vader equalled that. Jim Cornette's night had already started off well, as the British Bulldog reigned victorious over Ahmed Johnson, but this was only his second of three matches featuring his clients tonight. And if his man Vader wasn't victorious in this one, Cornette would have a forth match to worry about, no less against the 600-pound mammoth, Yokozuna. Yokozuna and Vader faced off in the ring, as the fans in Anaheim, California were on their feet at the pure sight of this, with one tonne already in the ring PLUS the weight of the referee. In the background, James E. Cornette and Mr Fuji stood at opposite corners, Cornette opening his big mouth and telling Vader to punish Yokozuna, and Jerry Lawler talked about how much of a bad idea it was for the "Mighty" Yokozuna to wear that big white bullseye on his foot, sporting that incompletely healed broken ankle. Vader and Yokozuna soon got themselves in a fist fight, as Jim Ross talked about how Yokozuna may be from the Land of the Rising Sun, but Vader trained in the Land of the Rising Sun, so he knows all about Yokozuna's fighting spirit, and all about the Japanese style. The two delivered many lefts and rights, before resorting to headbutts, both men not feigning any impact from anything and simply continuing to trade big blows! Cornette knelt onto the apron, and it caught Yokozuna's eye leading to Vader chopping him in the head, and getting the better of Yokozuna with the bear paw punches, as Vader had Yokozuna up against the ropes, almost getting himself disqualified, as Cornette pleaded with the "Mastodon" to calm down with the rights and lefts. Vader shoved the referee away as he got in his face, allowing Yokozuna to fight back, giving Vader three or four haymakers, followed up with a clothesline which stunned Vader! Yokozuna continued with a big chop across the chest, shoving him right into the ropes before responding with another clothesline to Vader! Yokozuna nailed Vader with a third clothesline, and a forth one! The former WWF Champion decided to bounce off of the ropes at that moment and came back with a fifth clothesline, sending Vader to one knee! Yokozuna decided to capitalize on it, delivering a sixth clothesline sending Vader down to the canvas, flat on his back! Cornette was freaking out as the "Mighty" one fell into the ropes and prepared the Leg Drop, connecting with it! Yokozuna covered Vader, but Vader kicked out at one! The "Mastodon" just kicked out of the legdrop that won Yokozuna his first WWF Championship against Hulk Hogan back in 1993 - at the count of one no less! Yokozuna continued to pound away at Vader, but Vader slugged back, proving himself before giving Yokozuna a big headbutt! The two men back on their feet, Yokozuna was stunned, as Vader just planted Yoko with a big spinning backfist, sending Yokozuna into the ropes, Vader following up with a shoulder block, as both men went down. Vader continued to pound away at Yokozuna before targeting that previously broken ankle of the big man, delivering several stiff forearms across the bad ankle, Yokozuna screaming in agony; whilst Mr Fuji attempted to cheer his man on. Vader attempted to keep Yokozuna contained in a bear hug as he was at his knees, but as Yokozuna regained momentum and returned to his feet, Yokozuna delivered a belly-to-back suplex! Yokozuna covered, but Vader kicked out at two! Vader was proving his worth, kicking out of the cover attempt of the 600-pounder, a man one-quarter more of his size! Yokozuna and Vader continued to slug it out, before further distraction from Cornette led to Vader getting the better of Yokozuna, as Vader got Yokozuna in the corner and was ready to avalanche him - but Yokozuna moved, and he avalanched Vader in the corner! Vader fell to the canvas, as Yokozuna went up to the second rope for the Banzai Drop - but James E. Cornette got up onto the apron once again! Yokozuna tried to grab Cornette from the second rope, but that's when Mr Fuji came from behind Cornette, using his classic cane to trip Cornette from the apron, and down to the floor! Meanwhile, Vader was back up, as he somehow managed to powerbomb all 600 pounds of Yokozuna to the canvas, hard! Vader cradled Yokozuna's legs, and stole the win! "The Mastodon" Vader def. "Mighty" Yokozuna [10:42] *1/2
The crowd booed loudly, as James E. Cornette crawled into the ring into the waiting arms of the "Mastodon", who had stolen this victory against Yokozuna with help from the man Jim Cornette himself! Yokozuna sat up in the ring, as Mr Fuji shook his head at ringside; Yokozuna being screwed out of a match with his former manager, Jim Cornette, whom he would have loved to get his hands on. Vader decided to further his assault on Yokozuna, delivering a big stomp to the 600-pounder, continuing to pound away on Yokozuna to even louder boos, as Cornette rooted for him: Mr Fuji watching on defenseless, when suddenly "Make A Difference" Fatu hit the ring! Fatu traded blows with Vader, as Yokozuna tried to roll out of the way, Fatu nailing Vader with several chops and a shoulder block, but Vader picked him up and powerbombed him! Vader and Cornette left the scene, as Mr Fuji got into the ring to attend to the fallen Fatu and Yokozuna, the fans booing loudly. James E. Cornette's luck was going great tonight, two for two. | 01:32 | 16 | We abruptly cut to the dark, shady boiler room, where the camera closed in on Mankind, who was manically crawling through the smoky room. As unsettling piano music began to play, Mankind screeched, talking about how for months he has warned the Undertaker not to play with his old toys, not to revitalise what was a thought from the past before. Mankind described himself as a nightmare from the past as opposed to a memory, talking about how he's the one that the "Deadman" decided not to talk about. Mankind talked about how tonight he was going to end the Undertaker, how he was going to make the "Deadman" beg at his very mortal feet - the immortal versus the mortal. But the mortal will win tonight, because he's got even more vicious, dark, deadly secrets that will make the Undertaker seem all the more real! | 01:33 | 17 | A video package aired, narrated by Todd Pettingill, bringing us up to speed on the rivalry between the Undertaker and the mysterious, manic depressive Mankind. It all started back at the Royal Rumble, where the "Deadman" challenged for the WWF Championship against Bret "Hitman" Hart, when suddenly the man in the leather mask assaulted the Undertaker, costing him the WWF Championship, leaving him beaten and bruised, and also striking Paul Bearer! Over time, the Undertaker continued to pursue Mankind, seeking revenge, but in an ironic twist, it was Mankind who was playing games with the "Phenom"! Mankind freaked Paul Bearer out, making the fearsome manager fear him, as Mankind told the world about how the Undertaker burned down his parents' home as a child, how he and Mankind used to be friends - but now they are nothing, all thanks to the "Deadman". Undertaker even went down to the boiler room to find his old friend turned enemy - just to get assaulted. Mankind has been a thorn in the side of the Undertaker for long enough, mentally and now physically, but will tonight's chance for the Undertaker to reign supreme against Mankind? Or will the maniacal man ruined by the "Deadman" get his untimely revenge? Mortal vs Immortal takes place tonight. | 01:35 | 18 | The Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer) vs Mankind [+00:04 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Mankind walked to the ring a determined man, disabled by the crooked walk as he set out to expose the Undertaker and expose the dark history that the "Deadman" has covered up over the past five years in his tenure in the World Wrestling Federation. He rocked himself in the corner of the ring in anticipation for the arrival of the man of the dark, as a gong suddenly hit, and the lights faded to black. Only thunder was heard, as the Arrowhead Pond lit up to disguise itself as lightning. The theme of the Undertaker then picked up, as Paul Bearer emerged to the arena under a spotlight, emanating from his urn! The fans in Anaheim went wild, as an icy chill came over the Pond. The Undertaker then emerged before us, coming from underneath the floor! The "Deadman" was bowing to the urn, as he turned to the ring and began to menacingly march down to the ring slowly but adamantly of ending the mystery of Mankind tonight with a three count. The Undertaker got into the ring as Mankind seemed almost unphased by this, continuing to rock himself in the corner and squeal loud enough for the cameras to pick it up. Finally, Mankind pulled himself to his feet, and continued to screech as the "Deadman" approached him for a staredown. Paul Bearer got out of the ring, as the two continued to face off. Jim Ross noted on commentary that the Undertaker was yet to be defeated at WrestleMania, and how he had put so many outcasts under the ground with his mind games and his Tombstone Piledriver - but Mankind was proving to be unlike them. Just like that, Mankind began to strike, pounding away at the upper chest and jaw of the Undertaker, sending him off of the ropes just for 'Taker to come back with a big boot sending Mankind to the canvas! Mankind quickly rolled back onto his knees, attempting to regroup, and Mankind just like that got onto his feet and dove at the Undertaker, hammering down on him as the "Phenom" shrugged him off, delivering several lefts and rights of his own, but Mankind would not relent, instead kicking the knee of the Undertaker and delivering a big DDT! Mankind covered, but 'Taker easily kicked out, Mankind pulling at his hair out of insanity. Mankind tried to follow up, but 'Taker grabbed Mankind by the throat and got to his feet, Mankind however managed to break out of it by headbutting the chest of the Undertaker! The deranged man behind the mask was making a name for himself in his first sanctioned match in the World Wrestling Federation, and he followed up by delivering a big clothesline to the Undertaker, causing his former friend to stumble. Mankind then went for another one, but 'Taker big-back body dropped him! The Undertaker then picked Mankind up and scoop slammed him, connecting with an elbow drop for further effect. The Undertaker covered, but Mankind managed to worm himself free. The "Deadman" at that moment knew that he was in for a tough fight, as Mankind quickly got back up and clotheslined the Undertaker to the canvas! Mankind relented with further lefts and rights, pounding away at the "Deadman" until the referee broke Mankind and 'Taker apart because of being under the ropes. Mankind got to his feet in motivation, allowing the "Deadman" to breathe. Mankind continued to limp around the ring and pull at his hair, whilst the Undertaker slowly got to his feet. This time, the two men locked up, Mortal vs Immortal, the larger of the two was winning, until Mankind inexplicitly kicked the Undertaker down low and went for a neckbreaker, but the Undertaker reversed it, delivering a big sidewalk slam to the deranged mad man! The Undertaker got up and bounced off of the ropes, attempting a leg drop, but Mankind moved and 'Taker ate the canvas! Mankind slowly got up and kicked the "Phenom" right in the jaw, covering for yet another two count, 'Taker pressing Mankind off of him onto the canvas! 'Taker sat up, as Mankind saw him and ran back at him, slapping on a chin lock and pounding the "Deadman" with many lefts and rights, having watched and researched the Undertaker inside and out in the weeks building up to this match-up. The Undertaker slowly but defiantly got to his feet and picked Mankind up, backing Mankind into the corner with him on his back, and Undertaker fired away with numerous fiery uppercuts to Mankind in the corner, without a desire to stop striking away at the deranged one! Mankind soon blocked a few and reversed it, firing away at Undertaker in the corner, but 'Taker once again reversed it and fired away at Mankind, but from the corner in an act of desperation, Mankind suddenly raked the eyes of the "Phenom"! Mankind got up to the second rope and came off with an axe handle, catching the six-ten Undertaker and sending him crashing to the canvas! Mankind covered once more, getting frustrated however, as 'Taker continued to kick out with ease. Mankind however was trying to soften the "Deadman" and wear him out, as the two men rose to their feet and Mankind ducked a right hand from the Undertaker and kicked him in the gut before sending him off of the ropes, Mankind bouncing off of the opposite side of the ropes. The Undertaker fired back with a big flying clothesline, but Mankind ducked it, and the "Phenom" fell out to the floor! Mankind saw what he had done and slipped out of the ring the opposite side, before literally crawling around the ring as the "Deadman" began to rise once again, Mankind catching him with a big clothesline! Paul Bearer watched on grasping his urn tightly, as Mankind was trying to annihilate the Undertaker, picking him up and draping him over the announce table, before carelessly pounding away at his adversary's upper hand and head! Mankind then sent 'Taker back to the floor, slamming him head-first! Mankind covered 'Taker and fired away at him, before getting off of him and rolling into the ring. The deranged man got into the face of referee Mike Chioda, threatening him not to count either man out! Mankind returned to ringside, jumping off of the apron just to eat a big boot from the "Deadman", the crowd on their feet! The action got back into the ring, as the Undertaker and Mankind slugged it out once more, with Mankind connecting with a swinging neckbreaker out of nowhere! Mankind covered, this time for two, but Mankind seemed more and more adamant about putting the "Deadman" away. Mankind got 'Taker to his feet and went for a discus clothesline, but 'Taker ducked it, and caught Mankind with the Chokeslam! Undertaker covered, but Mankind managed to kick out at two, proving his worth as Undertaker's rival. Undertaker decided that enough was enough, and decided to set up for the Tombstone Piledriver, motioning for it, but Mankind suddenly made a comeback, rolling Undertaker up out of desperation for a two count! Mankind and 'Taker got to their feet again, but Undertaker caught Mankind by the throat and got the masked man up, dropping him with the Tombstone Piledriver! Undertaker covered, but Mankind stormed out of it at two! Undertaker looked shocked, as nobody had kicked out of the Tombstone before! 'Taker shook his head and mouthed "oh Mick", before picking Mankind up again, just for Mankind to cradle 'Taker this time! 'Taker kicked out at two, as Mankind was grasping at any straw he could to beat the "Deadman"! The Undertaker caught Mankind by the throat again, and went for the Tombstone, but Mankind slipped out onto his feet, sending 'Taker into the corner, hard. Mankind then shoved his fist in the mouth of the Undertaker, the claw that he once rendered the Undertaker unconscious with before! The Undertaker began to fade, as the fans cheered to try and support the man of the darkside, but he dropped to a knee, and then to both knees. Paul Bearer tried to rise his urn up to the heavens, as Undertaker then began to come back to life! Mankind was relentless, as Undertaker grew to one knee, and then to his feet! Mankind tried to force him back down, but Undertaker caught Mankind by the throat with his hand! Undertaker choked Mankind until he let go of the claw, before getting him up and delivering another brain shattering Tombstone Piledriver! Undertaker draped the arms of Mankind, and that was it! The Undertaker def. Mankind [19:18] ***1/2
The crowd cheered loudly, as immortality had prevailed over mortality, the Undertaker's hand being raised in victory. The "Deadman" celebrated his win in the ring with Paul Bearer, who for the first time in weeks did not look scared, as Mankind remained down in the ring. Undertaker bowed beside Mankind and saluted to the urn held high above the head of Paul Bearer, Mankind still not moving. However the deranged one tonight had broken himself to be a fearsome enemy of the Undertaker, and proved his worth kicking out of one Tombstone Piledriver and seriously bringing the fight to the former World Wrestling Federation Champion! | 01:59 | 19 | In the backstage area, Vince McMahon introduced us to the WWF Superstar Line, which presently had returning WWF President Gorilla Monsoon on the phonelines alongside the men that managed to slip away from defeat tonight against the Godwinns, the WWF Tag Team Champions Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas. He urged us to send their calls in. | 02:00 | 20 | A video package aired, focused around the career of Shawn Michaels, and what has led him to this point tonight. Starting off in San Antonio, Texas, the "Heartbreak Kid" was trained by retired Mexican star José Lothario, who put him through some intense training and taught him to do the outlandish things that he knows how to do in the ring today. Shawn Michaels is the only man not to be raised into tonight's main event Triple Threat, but it's been twelve years in the making for the "Heartbreak Kid". Michaels started off in the World Wrestling Federation in 1987, alongside WWF superstar Marty Jannetty in the groundbreaking, innovative tag team known as the Rockers. The Rockers never won any gold, but they were legendary throughout their tenure for their high-flying antics and amazing agility and energy in their performances, however it wasn't before long before Shawn branched out. Michaels pushed himself to be the best around, becoming a three-time WWF Intercontinental Champion and a two-time WWF Tag Team Champion with best friend "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel. However his next aim is to become the World Wrestling Federation, his boyhood dream. And tonight, he will either fulfil his boyhood dream, or have it smashed forever! | 02:02 | 21 | In the backstage area, James E. Cornette was shown congratulating Vader on his work out there earlier tonight, defeating Yokozuna the way he did, proving that he is the superior man and saving him from having to face the big 600-pounder. Suddenly, Mr Perfect approached Vader and Cornette, the President reluctantly congratulating Vader on his victory out there, but everything after the bell was insincere and unprofessional. Cornette then got in Perfect's face, asking him if he actually thinks Vader cares what he is saying, because the "Mastodon" would crush him in a second if he even got in his face. Cornette told Perfect to beat it, because Vader would be the WWF Champion one day, and that Perfect means nothing to nobody anymore. Cornette and Vader left, as Perfect was left alone, telling Vader to tread lightly with an aggravated expression on his face. | 02:03 | 22 | A video package aired, as narrated by Dok Hendrix, laying out the history between the Ultimate Warrior and Diesel, leading to tonight's first time ever battle. "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel once was the face of the World Wrestling Federation, the WWF Champion, the leader of the New Generation; however he lost it at last November's Survivor Series, and has began to show his true colors in recent months, citing that he doesn't care about the fans, and how the corporation's brass ring had made him out to be something he's not. But now he's a badass, and will do anything to beat any man with no restrictions! But then when Diesel was verbally laying it to WWF President Mr Perfect, Perfect told Diesel that he could have his match at WrestleMania XII, against none other than the Ultimate Warrior - a man not seen in four long years. A former WWF Champion, a superstar that all fans could look up to - but Diesel has insisted on multiple occasions that the Warrior is not what he used to be. Tonight, we see "Big Daddy Cool" tackle the resurrection of the Ultimate Warrior! | 02:05 | 23 | "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel vs The Ultimate Warrior [+00:03 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] "Big Daddy Cool" didn't even seemed phased by the fact that he was a part of history in the making here tonight, as he confidently made his way to the ring without caring one bit about his opponent. Diesel cursed at fans on his way to the ring, a testament to what he had become since losing the World Wrestling Federation Championship back at the 1995 Survivor Series. Diesel waited patiently in the ring, setting himself up on the top rope almost in a hammock of confidence. Suddenly, the lights went out, and the theme of the Ultimate Warrior hit, bringing all of the fans in attendance to their feet! And there he was, the Ultimate Warrior, clad in his airbrushed trunks and tassles, a rainbow of a mastodon! The Ultimate Warrior darted down to the ring before parading around the ring full of life and energy, and the Warrior looked better than ever tonight, shaking the ropes in his old school fashion. But suddenly, Diesel jumped Warrior before the bell even sounded, jump-starting the match! Diesel sent Warrior down to the canvas with the sidewalk slam, before tearing off his very artistic ring jacket! Diesel taunted to the fans as Warrior returned to his feet quickly, Diesel running at him in the corner, just for Warrior to move! Warrior bounced off of the ropes, connecting with a big clothesline to "Big Daddy Cool"! Diesel gave Warrior a right hand, before Warrior returned the favor, bouncing off of the ropes again and clothesline Diesel again sending him groggy. Warrior connected with a third clothesline before picking Diesel up and body slamming the former WWF Champion! Diesel was down, as Warrior attempted to splash Diesel, just for Diesel to move. Warrior was winded, as Diesel then followed up with an elbow drop across the back of the legend. Diesel picked Warrior up in a fireman's carry position and dropped him right over the top turnbuckle, following up with a big boot! Diesel laughed at the Warrior as he stirred on the canvas, before Diesel smashed Warrior with a big elbow, dropping Warrior with a second one. The fans booed loudly in Anaheim, as Jerry Lawler laughed at how much publicity was wasted on the Warrior for him to come back and be destroyed by "Big Daddy Cool". Diesel then decided to end the match quickly with the Jackknife Powerbomb, and he connected with it! Diesel went for the cover as the Arrowhead Pond booed mercilessly, but Warrior kicked out at two, springing to life and lighting the Pond on fire! Warrior shook his head rapidly on his knees, as Diesel looked on in shock, almost to say "you're not human". Warrior then clotheslined Diesel, rocking Diesel slightly. Warrior gave Diesel a second clothesline, before bouncing off of the ropes a third time and coming back with a flying shoulder block sending Diesel down! Warrior then did an amazing feat, gorilla pressing Diesel above his head and dropping him on his front! Warrior dove off of the ropes and nailed Diesel with the big splash, hooking the leg of Diesel - and the Warrior had become resurrected with victory at WrestleMania XII! The Ultimate Warrior def. Diesel [06:26] *1/2
The fans erupted, as the Ultimate Warrior's hand was raised in victory, and pyrotechnics went off in the rafters of the Arrowhead Pond! Warrior jumped onto the second turnbuckle in applause, as the fans in Anaheim, California had just witnessed the resurrection of the Ultimate Warrior tonight at an already amazing WrestleMania XII! "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel slowly rolled out of the ring, in total uproar over the decision, before shaking his head and gracefully heading for the back. The Warrior was victorious, as the 19,000 in attendance were on their feet for the Warrior. | 02:15 | 24 | We cut to a video package, focused on the career of Owen Hart, and what brought the "King of Harts" to this point. The youngest member of the Hart Family, Owen Hart grew up with aims of being much like his brother; idolising the work of his father Stu Hart as a wrestler, a fighter, a promoter and a father. He also idolised his brother, Bret. Bret "Hitman" Hart was the reason that his younger brother Owen got into professional wrestling, training in Stampede Wrestling much like his brothers. Owen soon appeared in the World Wrestling Federation alongside his brothers, but at that point he found out how overshadowed he was by his brother. Jealous by the attention and with success in his blood, Owen was poised to become the best there is, much like his brother Bret. The two fought on many occasions, at WrestleMania X two years ago, Owen got a win against his brother Bret, and after going through so much, Owen is poised to be the next WWF Champion by defeating his brother on the grandest stage of them all, accomplishing his biggest destiny. A former WWF Tag Team Champion, Owen is now waiting for his time to shine, and tonight could be his chance! | 02:17 | 25 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler were shown on commentary, as they talked about how awesome WrestleMania XII had been so far, before talking about what was still to come, the Triple Threat featuring the three biggest stars of the New Generation: Bret "Hitman" Hart, "the King of Harts" Owen Hart, and the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, for the World Wrestling Federation Championship. They discussed how big and important the match is, before talking about how this WrestleMania has been a happening, but next year's could be even bigger, because next year WrestleMania XIII will emanate from the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago, Illinois, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, March 23, 1997! They then sent us to the video package for our main event. | 02:18 | 26 | A video package aired, narrated by Todd Pettingill preparing the main event between Bret "Hitman" Hart, Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart. It all started back at Survivor Series 1995, where Bret Hart won the World Wrestling Federation Championship for the third time, a leader of the New Generation for the past three years. The fighting champion was back on his throne, on top of the New Generation. Meanwhile, the dream turned to nightmares, as the night following, Owen Hart almost ended Shawn Michaels' full-of-potential career with a sharp Enzuigiri, the "King of Harts" soon taking the glory for taking Michaels out of action, and almost ending his career; but on January 21st, the "Heartbreak Kid" returned to the ring, aiming to win the Royal Rumble, still suffering from his concussion. Michaels was poised to win, to achieve his boyhood dream and go on to WrestleMania XII to win the WWF Championship - but it was not to be, as Owen Hart picked up the victory out of nowhere. Hart won the Rumble, and he was en route to WrestleMania, but Shawn Michaels dared Owen to step in the ring, inside of a steel cage and put the WWF Championship opportunity at WrestleMania on the line! A horrific match, brutality prevailed but Shawn Michaels prevailed as well, Michaels and Owen proving their all, how good they were and how badly they wanted the World Wrestling Federation Championship. But who wants it more, is it the "King of Harts", the winner of the 1996 Royal Rumble; the jealous younger brother of the "Hitman" that wants nothing more than to upstage his brother and become the WWF Champion on the grandest stage of them all? Or is it the "Heartbreak Kid", the man longing to achieve his boyhood dream, the man that has gone through many pitfalls to get where he is in a winner takes all opportunity? Or what about the "Hitman" Bret Hart, the three-time and reigning and defending WWF Champion, the most fighting champion in WWF history? Tonight, answers will be revealed, in the Triple Threat! | 02:21 | 27 | The Triple Threat - WWF Championship - Bret "Hitman" Hart (c) vs "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs "The King of Harts" Owen Hart [+00:05 for entrances; +00:02 for aftermath] This was it, the end of the line for all three of these faces of the New Generation. The "King of Harts" made his way out to the ring with a new look of determination on his face, and uncharacteristically without his manager, James E. Cornette. It was a strange thing as Owen Hart climbed into the ring with a look of motivation on his face, as opposed to the typical arrogance, but Jim Ross himself speculated that this was it for Owen Hart, and perhaps the World Wrestling Federation Championship and the main event spot in WrestleMania that opened Owen's eyes and revealed to himself that this is what he wanted, and that he didn't want it to be tainted by the presence of James E. Cornette. Up next, the theme of the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels hit, but he was nowhere to be seen! Vince McMahon pondered his whereabouts, as Jerry Lawler talked about how he didn't want to risk losing everything one time over, because Owen Hart was going to win - but that's when Shawn Michaels was shown ascending from the heavens! From the rafters of the Arrowhead Pond, Michaels was rappelling on a harness, clad in white as the fans were going crazy for the "Heartbreak Kid"! Michaels landed in the crowd, and Michaels began to make his way through the sea of people in Anaheim before climbing over the guard railings at ringside, and into the ring to face off with Owen Hart. The fans were crazy about Shawn Michaels, but that's when the theme of the "Hitman" Bret Hart hit, and the fans erupted once more, almost a rivalling reaction to Shawn Michaels. The World Wrestling Federation Champion marched to the ring, clad in pink and black as always, before climbing into the ring for this first time ever Triple Threat encounter! Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart stood in three separate corners, as the bell sounded - and the rules were explained: that all three men were present in the ring, and that only pinfall or submission could end this match, and that the decision would be made under sudden death circumstances; even if the WWF Champion wasn't involved! Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels engaged in a fierce staredown for the first time ever, as Owen Hart got involved as well, talking trash to both of them, when suddenly Shawn and Bret took it to Owen, taking turns in fighting with Owen, as they sent Owen off of the ropes, and delivered a double hip toss to the "King of Harts"! Owen rolled out to the floor, as Shawn and Bret then squared off again, breaking into a lock-up for the first time of the match. Owen regained his composure as Shawn and Bret exchanged chain-wrestling holds, taking this match to a whole new level of intensity - who the better wrestler of the two was. Bret had a side headlock on Shawn, when Michaels reversed it into a hammerlock, followed by a wristlock, followed by a roll-through, which led to Bret getting the better of Shawn by tying him up in a leglock! Bret and Shawn decided to lock up again, as the fans were unsure who to root for in this battle - who the better man of the two was! Shawn got the better of the WWF Champion the next time around, both men having a stand off after a technical sequence. But suddenly, Owen Hart slipped into the ring and clotheslined Shawn Michaels from behind! Owen and Bret exchanged blows, before Bret sent Owen off the ropes, delivering a big knee to the gut of the "King of Harts", following up with a backdrop reversed, and Owen this time came off of the ropes, catching the "Hitman" with a hurricanrana! Owen taunted to the crowd in this big moment for him, which Jim Ross noted could be a big mistake for him. Owen then decided to chop his older brother Bret in the corner, but the "Excellence of Execution" reversed it, sending Owen into the corner with an arm whip! Bret got onto the second rope and started a ten punch on Owen Hart, before Shawn Michaels got back to his feet and picked Bret off of the second rope, holding him on his shoulders - this allowed Owen to gain composure, and as Shawn had Bret on his shoulders, Owen dropkicked Shawn, sending both of his opponents down! Owen eagerly tried to cover Shawn for a two-count, before trying to cover Bret quickly - but Michaels broke it up. Michaels went to work on Owen - these two rivals having feuded back to November when Owen nearly ended Shawn's career. Michaels body slammed Owen, but Bret got involved, giving Shawn a big German suplex! Bret then went after Owen, but Owen fired back, delivering a huge Enzuigiri to the World Wrestling Federation Champion! Bret went down and out like a light, as Owen covered - but in the knick of time Shawn managed to break the fall! Bret wasn't moving, as Shawn and Owen went at it, the "King of Harts" with another Enzuigiri attempt, just for Michaels to duck it, and Michaels responded with an Enzuigiri of his own! Owen went down, but as Michaels covered, Owen kicked out at two! Bret meanwhile was on the outside still motionless, perhaps having been given a concussion much like Shawn had several months ago - which could put his WWF Championship in huge jeopardy tonight. Shawn and Owen continued to exchange holds in the ring, as Owen found an opening in the knee of the "Heartbreak Kid" and tried to pursue it with a single legged Boston crab - but Michaels managed to block it and fire back, sending Owen right over the top rope! Shawn then went to the top rope, and as Bret was getting to his feet alongside a dazed Owen, Shawn came off of the top rope with a moonsault onto both men! The fans exploded as the "Heartbreak Kid" was willing to do whatever it took, no matter how risky it was, to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion and achieve his boyhood dream! Shawn and Owen continued to go at it at ringside, before Owen kicked Shawn in that previously worked over knee and suplexed Michaels on the floor, HBK's leg caught on the metal guard railing! Michaels was in pain, as Owen continued to stomp on it as it was trapped in the railing, before suddenly the "Hitman" came back to life, nailing Owen with a big right hand! Bret sent Owen into the ring post head-first before rolling him back into the ring, as Bret looked to get back into the fight. Bret gave Owen an inverted atomic drop before attempting to go for the Sharpshooter, but Owen was too smart, giving Bret a headscissors over him. Owen then looked to go for a second Enzuigiri, but Bret blocked it and applied an STF submission on Owen! Owen was trapped, but Shawn Michaels got into the ring and broke it up. Shawn and Bret went at it once more, trading lefts and rights before Owen tried to get involved once again, the "King of Harts" receiving a double suplex for his troubles! Owen rolled out to the ringside area once again, as Shawn attempted a gutwrench suplex just for Bret to reverse it, locking in an abdominal stretch! Bret rived in pain but managed to reverse it, and the "Hitman" decided to target that previously damaged leg, much like his brother Owen had done so earlier on! Bret stomped away at it and weakened it, looking to put the "Heartbreak Kid" away, but Michaels reversed a Sharpshooter attempt, before catching Bret with the Sweet Chin Music! Michaels covered, but as the referee counted, Owen slipped back in the ring to break it up! Owen went after Shawn, chopping away at him and targeting that leg once more, and soon his older brother Bret decided to get in the ring and help him out! Bret and Owen stomped away at Michaels in the corner; no disqualifications in this one, as Bret got Michaels with the inverted atomic drop, and Owen bounced off the ropes, delivering a big running clothesline, the Hart Attack! The Hart brothers were working away on Shawn and actually cooperating as the fans booed, before Bret suddenly caught Owen and rolled him up in similar fashion to how Owen beat him two years ago at WrestleMania X, just for a near fall! Owen and Bret fought it out, as Shawn recovered in the corner, Bret cornering Owen and propping him on the top rope. Bret pounded at Owen as he was resilient, before both men went to the top rope for a superplex - until Shawn Michaels got to his feet - and Owen managed to knock Bret off of the top rope, Bret falling into the Sweet Chin Music! Bret was sent flying to the canvas, when Owen suddenly came off of the top rope, a diving sunset flip on Shawn for a close two count! Owen rolled back onto his feet, and Owen ate some Sweet Chin Music as well! Shawn covered Owen, but the "Hitman" managed to intercept the fall! The fans were on the edge of their seats, 18,000 packed in the Arrowhead Pond for WrestleMania! Shawn soon thought that it was time to go up for the diving elbow drop on Owen, but as he was getting up to the top rope, Bret met him, attempting another superplex this time to Shawn Michaels! Bret fought but Shawn tried to fight out of it - and slowly Owen came up from behind, catching Bret on his shoulders - but as Bret attempted to victory roll out of it, Owen dropped Bret on the back of his head, almost replicated from WrestleMania X, but as the referee counted, Shawn came off of the second rope with a dropkick, sending Owen forward, and Bret victory rolled Owen for a very close two count! The fans were now standing, in awe at this wild ride of a match, as Shawn began to slowly get to his feet - as did Bret. Shawn and Bret exchanged blows, before Bret ducked one of Michaels and nailed him with a big backbreaker! Bret went up to the second rope one more time for the diving elbow on Shawn, but Owen came out of nowhere, nailing a top rope hurricanrana on the "Hitman"! Owen slowly rolled over and covered Bret, but he kicked out at two! Owen got to his feet and picked up the legs of Bret Hart, and smirked out of pure arrogance, as Owen prepared the Sharpshooter on the "Hitman", locking it in! Jerry Lawler screeched that this could be an ironic beginning of the end of the "Hitman", and the end of the beginning for Owen! Owen had the Sharpshooter synced in, as Bret screamed in agony, Bret with nowhere to go! Bret tried to reach for the ropes, but Owen moved him back into the centre, pure hell for the WWF Champion! Michaels soon limped to his feet, and as he saw what was happening, he blasted the "King of Harts" with Sweet Chin Music! Owen collapsed to the outside of the ring, as Michaels tried to cover Bret, but the "Heartbreak Kid" got two. Shawn pounded the mat in frustration, so many close calls in this match-up. Bret soon began to stir, as Shawn went for the inverted atomic drop, but Bret sent Shawn off of the ropes; Michaels meeting Bret but Shawn switched the whip, and the "Hitman" went flying through the middle rope with a plancha on Owen! Bodies everywhere, Shawn Michaels then decided to join the frenzy, bouncing off of the ropes and coming over the top rope with another plancha onto both Harts! Michaels slowly motioned to his feet, vowing to end this bout before picking up Owen - but the "King of Harts" knocked him to the ground dead with the Enzuigiri! Michaels was unconscious, as Owen slowly rolled himself back into the ring. Bret followed, and Owen and Bret slugged it out once more, everything riding on this match, as Shawn Michaels was not moving! Bret went for the Sharpshooter on Owen, but Owen cradled his brother; Bret reversing it, and he managed to lock in the Sharpshooter! The fans cheered loudly as Bret had the Sharpshooter in with no place to go for Owen; but Owen somehow masterfully reversed it, rolling out of it before catching Bret in the Sharpshooter! Owen had Bret in the Sharpshooter for a second time, raising a fist in another display of pure arrogance - and James E. Cornette came marching down the aisleway! Cornette came to spectate as Owen was about to win the WWF Championship, until Bret reversed it and he locked in the Sharpshooter again! The grin on the face of Cornette turned to gloom and shock and horror, as Bret continued to apply pressure on the Sharpshooter! Both Harts were vying for the WWF Championship - but that's when Shawn Michaels slipped into the ring, Sweet Chin Music to the "Hitman"! Hart dropped dead to the canvas, and as Cornette tried to intercept the fall by getting onto the apron Michaels clocked him; Shawn draped himself over Bret, one-two-three! "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels def. Bret "Hitman" Hart & "The King of Harts" Owen Hart in the Triple Threat to WIN the WWF Championship [27:12] ****1/4
The fans in Anaheim, California rose to their feet, as the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels had done the unthinkable! James E. Cornette was shown crying on the floor outside of the ring, as Owen Hart was shown dazed in the corner of the ring. Michaels picked himself up of a fallen Bret "Hitman" Hart, as Earl Hebner handed him the World Wrestling Federation Championship! Shawn Michaels had accomplished his boyhood dream of becoming the WWF Champion on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania XII! Pyrotechnics went off in the rafters of the Arowhead Pond, as Michaels hugged his gold and bowed before it, WrestleMania XII being such a spectacular event! Bret Hart meanwhile started slowly getting out of the ring, and walking up the aisleway in a look of annoyance. Bret shook his head as the fans were on their feet, the "Hitman" slowly stormed off to the back. Michaels continued to celebrate as the new World Wrestling Federation Champion, as WrestleMania XII went off the air. | 02:55 |

Alright, Daniel, WrestleMania XII! We got a lot of big matches tonight, so let us see what you have in store. Good to see Hunter Hearst Helmsley with a win over Fatu in the Free 4-All, kind of obvious as it is Triple H and I assume in the future he will become a big star - as long as you continue onward with this, that is. A good opening contest with The British Bulldog getting the victory Ahmed Johnson via the cheap victory using the tights. Huge victory considering Ahmed Johnson's undefeated streak heading into the show. Huge tag team match coming up next and Jake Roberts, Tatanka and Savio Vega's odd combo beats out Ted DiBiase's group of Steve Austin, Sid and Waltman. Lolz at how pissed Jerry Lawler is over Jake Roberts. A good contest between Razor Ramon and Goldust and I am glad to see "The Bad Guy" get the victory here... would like to see him be up in the WWF Championship ranks some day. Good interview from Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna, would love to see a Banzai Drop on Jim Cornette. Next match up, interesting call with The Godwinns winning by disqualification, regardless of my discontent for disqualification finishes at Mania, I'll accept it with it being Double J and Double D. Aw, Vader beating Yokozuna is depressing... would have loved to have seen Yokozuna get his hands on Cornette, although I do feel something will happen down the road to let him get his way. A HUGE match between Undertaker and Mankind, and I love that Undertaker won. If 'Taker had ever beaten Mankind in reality, it would have been just another big name for him to beat during the streak. The Ultimate Warrior versus Diesel is kind of an odd match, but I'm glad to see the Warrior get the victory over a big time guy in Diesel. SPEAK TO ME!!! WARRIOR!!!!!!!!!!! Snarl. Finally, a stacked main event featuring The Hart Brothers and The Heart Break Kid. Excellent, lengthy match and I am ecstatic to see you give HBK the WWF Championship as he deserves. A very good WrestleMania XII event, Daniel.

WrestleMania 12 thoughts.
The effort put into this show has to be applauded. Don't see what the segment count or the time limit add to the show.
Just told Kev that his Mania had a bit filler and got say to yours had even more but in your case it was more a sign of the times and you did your best to make it as entertaining as possible. Only thing I would say is that coming out of Rumble you could have had 4 big matches for Mania but come Mania you only really had 2 matches that felt bigger and even then the Main Event wasn't the match I would have went with.
Only other slight issue was match order in some cases and the odd finish.
My preference is a shorter write up but took the time to read Takers match and the 3 way and they were great.
What you have us was top quality and well written as always. Look forward to seeing what comes next...

Alright Dan, I watched this time period recently on the WWE Network and I had fun. Let's see what you do with WrestleMania. Nice to see Hunter Hearst Helmsley win on the Free 4 All, hope to see him get a big push in 1996. I also like this layout/format. Don't know if I've ever said that. I also dug the opening video write up. Really like this opening contest as two powerhouses go at it. The cheap win keeps Ahmed Johnson strong but I'm happy to see British Bulldog win. I never got into Ahmed and it's big for Bulldog to end the undefeated streak. Fun little six man tag, however I'm not fond of Jake Roberts beating Steve Austin. I mean, I understand that Jake is recently returned but he was dreadful in this '96 run. A match I've been looking forward to for sure, Goldust and Razor Ramon. Long write up and some nice spots throughout. Very good read and match. Glad Razor won and I would like to see him move towards the WWF Title. It was his next logical step if he didn't leave to WCW. Nice video package for Bret. Disqualification finishes were totally part of the norm in these days but so glad the Godwins didn't win the Tag Team Titles. Never liked them and the team of Double J and Dean Douglas is great. Nice to see the long build for Yokozuna and Vader. Vader winning was the way to go as he should be pushed as an absolute monster here. Please give him the title. Forget what I said about Razor haha. Vader needs it. Awesome battle between Undertaker and Mankind, I loved the chemistry these two had together. Mankind brought out the best in the Undertaker and good to see the streak intact early in his career. The Superstar Line! HBK video package was cool. Wonder if Perfect will ever step back into the ring. Heel Diesel was a lot of fun in 1996. Ultimate Warrior going over him here worked well and I wonder if Diesel will be leaving to WCW. Owen video for last! Love it. Amazing main event as these three would've put on an amazing contest. So glad that Shawn got to pin Bret as it means a lot more when the Champion is pinned and HBK/Owen could be set up for the belt at the next In Your House. Great WrestleMania! I enjoyed WrestleMania 12 but this would've been better. Can't wait to see where you go next.

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, April 1, 1996
- Apparently Bret Hart stormed out of the Arrowhead Pond as soon as he got to the backstage area after WrestleMania XII went off the air. It's concerning given the recent contract negotiation rumours he has had with World Championship Wrestling, as well as the move to make Bret the transitional champion for five months before giving Shawn Michaels the WWF Championship. What this means is unsure right now, but considering that he didn't appear at the post-WrestleMania party that the staff usually throws either, is slightly concerning.
- It turns out that Diesel has definitely signed with World Championship Wrestling and will be officially under contract as of June 1, 1996. As of right now it appears that Razor Ramon will be remaining with the World Wrestling Federation. No sources say that Ramon signed a contract with WCW nor renewed his contract with the WWF at this time.
- Apparently the move to have Vader go over Yokozuna was made last minute, as it was initially planned that Yokozuna would win to allow him to squash James E. Cornette. At present, this could be being dragged out into the spring. Meanwhile, Fatu has been entered into the mix to give Yokozuna an ally against the Camp Cornette faction, and handle any bumps that Yokozuna may not take. Yokozuna currently weighs in at 620lbs and has agreed to lose at least 100lbs by the end of the year.
- Initially WWF officials saw most potential in Sean Waltman out of the Million Dollar Corporation, although that is changing with the amount of good work that Steve Austin has done on the road recently. Officials are still impressed in Waltman, but Austin may be surpassing him. A feud could potentially occur down the line.
- Owen Hart was given a main event role in recent months to test if he was worth trusting to carry the World Wrestling Federation, and test his capabilities as one as well. Allegedly officials were impressed and are willing to keep Owen in the higher ranks for the foreseeable future, though it is uncertain whether they will give him a trial run with the World Wrestling Federation Championship.
- The World Wrestling Federation announced a tour of Kuwait today for May, unveiling the Kuwait Cup in a press conference. A fourteen man tournament will determine who wins the Cup. Additionally there are plans to broadcast the Kuwait Cup tournament ongoing on Monday Night RAW.
- It is expected for Marc Mero to debut on WWF television in the coming weeks after signing officially with the company last week. It is currently unknown what role he will play, but rumour has it that his wife Rena Mero - a former model for L'Oreal, Pepsi and various other products - is also being brought in as his manager.
- Waylon Mercy has told friends that he is now working for the World Wrestling Federation as a road agent, and apparently booked the match between the Undertaker and Mankind. Mercy also revealed interest of appearing on television in a non-wrestling capacity.
- Despite WWF Monday Night RAW expanding to two hours this past Monday, it is unlikely that the USA Network will give them a second chance in that role. The ratings came in on Tuesday as WCW Nitro prevailed victorious, 3.7 to RAW's 3.4, which is not good for the biggest show of the year's go-home show. Back to the drawing board for the World Wrestling Federation.
- WWF Excess should be on the air by the summer, WWF reports. It was originally pencilled to debut this week, but whatever happened, it is not listed or advertised to air as of today, four days before the previously assumed pilot. It should be interesting what the WWF does with Superstars, after management were heard talking about fading out the syndication circuit for WWF programming last summer.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 3/25/1996. In results from the show: - Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels & Ahmed Johnson vs Owen Hart, Vader & British Bulldog; no contest - Steve Austin & Sid def. Jake Roberts & Savio Vega - The Undertaker def. James Bradshaw - Henry O. Godwinn def. Jeff Jarrett - Diesel def. Bob Holly - Razor Ramon & Fatu def. Goldust & Hunter Hearst Helmsley by count-out - Tatanka def. Sean Waltman by disqualification; Waltman retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship
- WCW Monday Nitro this past week aired on 3/25/1996. In results from the card: - Ric Flair def. The Giant - Randy Savge def. Disco Inferno - Sting & Lex Luger def. the American Males - Konnan def. Mr JL to retain the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
- WWF WrestleMania XII aired live on pay-per-view on 3/31/1996. The results were as follows: - Shawn Michaels def. Bret Hart & Owen Hart in a three-way match to win the WWF Championship. - The Ultimate Warrior def. Diesel - The Undertaker def. Mankind. - Vader def. Yokozuna. - The Godwinns def. Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas by disqualification; Jarrett & Douglas retain the WWF Tag Team Championship. - Razor Ramon def. Goldust in a Falls Count Anywhere match. - Jake Roberts, Tatanka & Savio Vega def. Steve Austin, Sid & Steve Austin - The British Bulldog def. Ahmed Johnson
- MOTN: Michaels/Bret/Owen - DUD: Vader/Yokozuna

WWF Monday Night RAW - April 1, 1996 The Orange Pavilion - San Bernardino, CA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | Frames of the events of WrestleMania XII aired, as Vince McMahon narrated some of the occurrences that went down last night, as the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon defeated the "Bizarre One" Goldust in the chaotic falls count anywhere brawl; the "Mastodon" Vader defeated the "Mighty" Yokozuna with controversial interference from James E. Cornette; the British Bulldog defeated the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson, ending Johnson's undefeated streak; The Undertaker put down his maniacal adversary, Mankind in a battle of Mortal vs Immortal; the Ultimate Warrior made his return to the World Wrestling Federation and put an end to the attitude of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel; And in the main event, the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels realised his boyhood dream by defeating Bret "Hitman" Hart and the "King of Harts" Owen Hart in the Triple Threat, winning the WWF Championship for the first time! Tonight, the aftermath of WrestleMania sets in. The opening video package for Monday Night RAW aired, as we cut to the Orange Pavilion, Vince McMahon welcoming us to the LIVE fallout edition of RAW! McMahon, alongside Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler lined up the events for this evening, as Shawn Michaels is scheduled to be interviewed for the first time since winning the WWF Championship; The Undertaker is scheduled for action against the "Greenwich Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley; Goldust and Camp Cornette, scheduled to be here tonight! | 00:03 | 2 | "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (w/Ted Dibiase) def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts (w/Revelations) [05:26] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] This was "Stone Cold"'s chance to avenge the loss of the Million Dollar Corporation from last night at WrestleMania, which ended when the 41 year old Jake "the Snake" Roberts resumed his ressurection and defeated the up and coming newcomer to the World Wrestling Federation, Steve Austin. Austin was set on avenging his defeat to the legendary "Snake" last night, as he jumped Jake before the bell and pounded away at him, to which he unexpectedly ran into multiple lefts and rights from Roberts, who proceeded to put up a fight against the grappling Texan. Austin managed to use his youth to get the better of Jake however, and immediately targeted the ribs of Roberts, and pounded away at them, catching Roberts with a thunderous gutbuster. Austin continued to beat away at Roberts, as the fans cheered for Jake to make a comeback, which he finally did, as Jerry "The King" Lawler continued to talk trash about Roberts on commentary! Roberts prepared for the DDT, but at that moment, the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase got on the apron, and as Jake went to go after him, Sean Waltman came down to ringside, the WWF Intercontinental Champion taking Revelations away! Waltman headed back up the aisleway, as Jake had no idea; Austin quickly locking in the Million Dollar Dream, and Jake's lights went out soon enough!
The crowd booed as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's hand was raised in victory, Austin being joined in the ring by his manager, Ted Dibiase. Austin and Dibiase stood tall over Jake "The Snake" Roberts as Jerry Lawler laughed about how Jake couldn't get it up in the ring anymore! Jim Ross argued that Jake lost because of the distractions from the Million Dollar Corporation - but Jake would be fuming about Sean Waltman stealing his snake, for sure! | 00:11 | 3 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler then began to discuss WrestleMania XII even more, showing footage from the WrestleMania Fan Fest that took place over the duration of the weekend, before including footage from the 1996 Slammy Awards, which emanated from the Marriott Hotel in Anaheim, California. Included was footage of Bret "Hitman" Hart looking extremely annoyed by being voted the runner up in the "Leader of the New Generation Award", second to the new World Wrestling Federation Champion Shawn Michaels! They talked about how Bret was scheduled to be here on RAW next Monday night, where they would hopefully get some thoughts from Bret on his thoughts following losing the WWF Championship at WrestleMania. A clip of Bret storming out of the Arrowhead Pond and leaving in his car was included, Bret a defeated man last night at WrestleMania. | 00:12 | 4 | An advertisement aired, promoting the encore presentation of WrestleMania XII, tomorrow night from 8/7 CT. | 00:13 | - | Commercial Break | 00:16 | 5 | Freeze frames of the battle between the "Bizarre One" Goldust and the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon aired, as Vince McMahon narrated how the battle for Ramon's machismo and Goldust's mind games led to the falls count anywhere brawl that led all over the Arrowhead Pond last night at WrestleMania, but in the end it was Razor Ramon who was finally victorious against the "Bizarre One". | 00:17 | 6 | "The Bizarre One" Goldust (w/Marlena) def. Freddie Joe Floyd [02:53] [+00:01 for Goldust's entrance; +00:02 for aftermath] Goldust did not seem to be in such a mood for games tonight, as the "Bizarre One" meant business, walking down the aisleway in quite a fierce fashion, with Marlena trying to keep up with her man in her high heels. Goldust made short work of Freddie Joe Floyd, who attempted to keep up with the "Bizarre One", but Goldust still seemed to be reeling and dying to regain retribution on the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon after last night. Floyd almost had Goldust rolled up for three, but it just made Goldust angrier, and he went back to work on Floyd, as Marlena at one point caught the referee's eye, leading to Goldust kicking Floyd blatantly down south! Goldust followed up with the Curtain Call, and the controversial Goldust scored the easy victory under controversial circumstances.
The crowd booed as the "Bizarre One"s hand was raised in victory, but Goldust did not seem to be ready to talk. Goldust took the microphone from ring announcer Albert DeFrusia, the golden lights shining down over the Orange Pavilion. Goldust talked seriously, panting almost. The "Bizarre One" talked about how Razor Ramon thinks that the ending of WrestleMania was a closed one, but Goldust doesn't think so. Goldust talked about how Razor can think that he can ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after, but after he got into business with Goldust, it doesn't stop there. Goldust challenged Razor to a special match of his choice: the Hollywood Backlot Brawl. And the setting for such a sight, none other than In Your House on April 28. Goldust promised that Razor's ending would be an unhappy one, courtesy of the gold man. Goldust winked to the camera before leaving with Marlena by his side. | 00:23 | 7 | A graphic aired, as Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler talked about what was coming up next weekon Monday Night RAW, as the Ultimate Warrior will step in the ring with WWF Tag Team Champion Agent Dean Douglas and Razor Ramon fights rival WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman in non-title action; but still to come tonight, the Undertaker is scheduled for main event competition against the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley; the "Mighty" Yokozuna will be in action against the "Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama; and up next, the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels addresses the fans in San Bernardino for the first time as WWF Champion! | 00:24 | - | Commercial Break | 00:27 | 8 | We returned to Monday Night RAW, as Vince McMahon was stood in the ring awaiting the arrival of the "Heartbreak Kid". McMahon mentioned how he won the Triple Threat last night and beat two of the best superstars that the World Wrestling Federation has to offer last night, overcame concussions, injuries and other losses leading up to his achievement of the boyhood dream, winning the WWF Championship at WrestleMania. The theme of Shawn Michaels then hit, lighting up the Pavilion to a loud ovation. Shawn Michaels then appeared, strutting his way down to the ring as the fans could not get enough of the new WWF Champion! Michaels posed for the fans in attendance, as McMahon asked Michaels how it felt to be the WWF Champion at long last. Shawn commented on how it took eight years in the World Wrestling Federation to get here, but here he is as the man of hour, the man of the show, and the leader of the New Generation. Shawn talked about how he has gone through it all over the years, but now he is here to stand on top of the mountain, and he will take on anybody and everybody in his way! McMahon asked Shawn about last night, the fierce competition he went through with Bret and Owen Hart, two of the toughest stars in the world. Shawn talked about how he has fought many times with the "King of Harts", but he has defeated him enough times to know his entire strategy, and as for Bret, the "Hitman" may be the "Best There Was", but the "Showstopper" is the best there is, not Bret Hart! The fans gave Michaels a mixed reaction, as Vince reacted to the fans in San Bernardino before being cut off by the theme of the "King of Harts"! The crowd booed loudly, as Owen Hart made his way down the aisleway led by James E. Cornette. Owen talked trash as Cornette had a microphone in hand, asking Shawn if he truly believed the Kool Aid he was drinking. Cornette talked about how Shawn was lucky to have pinned Bret "Hitman" Hart and not Owen, because Owen would have knocked him out of competition one more time! Owen then took over, talking about how Shawn pinned his brother, but he didn't pin the man that knocked Shawn out, the man that Shawn unfairly beat to enter the WrestleMania Triple Threat match by escaping him in the cage, the same man that was also present in helping Shawn win the WWF Championship! Owen told Michaels that he was robbed out of victory last night, and that the WWF Championship should rightfully be around HIS waist, not the "Heartbreak Kid"'s. Cornette and Owen confronted Shawn, as Michaels cockily told the duo that he just said that he was going to take on any competition, and he would gladly take on the "King of Harts", because he can't wait to put an end to this, and put an end to Owen Hart. Michaels smirked as Owen got closer and stared him down, before Shawn suddenly gave Jim Cornette some Sweet Chin Music! Owen ran at Shawn just to receive an atomic drop, and just as Shawn set up Sweet Chin Music for Owen, Owen darted out of the ring! Michaels stood tall, as McMahon once again showed off the new WWF Champion to the Pavilion crowd! | 00:33 | 9 | A vignette aired, promoting the debut of Riley O'Finley, the tough Irishman. O'Finley introduced himself whilst drinking a pint of Guinness, in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland. O'Finley talked about how he was raised as a Catholic, and the Catholics are the toughest of the bunch. Riley talked about how he may appear friendly, but he's vicious when he wants to be, and when he steps foot in the World Wrestling Federation, he's going to kick some bloody heads in! At that moment, a man approached O'Finley from behind, seemingly begging for a fight, but the mustache-clad blonde responded but grabbing his feet and twisting it before giving him a big right hand! O'Finley said that he was coming to the WWF to kick some arse. | 00:34 | - | Commercial Break | 00:37 | 10 | We returned to Monday Night RAW, as Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler discussed the fallout of WrestleMania so far, referring to Goldust's comments earlier tonight targeting the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon, inviting him to the Hollywood Backlot Brawl at In Your House on April 28. Ross explained the rules, how there was no pinfalls, no submissions, no count outs and no disqualifications: and the only way to win being to knock the other man out cold! McMahon then reported that they had Razor Ramon on the phoneline, asking for a response from the "Bad Guy". Razor announced that he was going to be on RAW next Monday night in singles action against his former best friend Sean Waltman in non-title action, stating that he'd gain some more retribution again him: but as for Goldust, he defeated him once, and if he wants to receive another beating, then he's willing to give it to him, courtesy of the "Bad Guy"! Ramon told Goldust to be ready because he was going to be put out like a light at In Your House! | 00:38 | 11 | "The Mighty" Yokozuna (w/Mr Fuji) def. "The Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama [04:34] [+00:01 for Yokozuna's entrance] "The Supreme Fighting Machine" was making his return to WWF programming tonight, the first time on television without the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase or any of the Million Dollar Corporation. Kama had been released from the Corporation and was out for his own, but he was going up against a big threat, the 600-pound sumo, Yokozuna. After unfairly losing to the "Mastodon" Vader last night, Yokozuna seemed to be ready for some fresh competition, and regaining some lost momentum, especially when he came so close to beating Vader at WrestleMania, and so close to getting his hands on former client, James E. Cornette. Kama attempted to brawl with Yokozuna, but the 600 pounder fired back using his size, turning Kama's attempt at a big flying shoulder block into a scoop slam! Yokozuna nailed Kama with a legdrop before continuing the bout. Mr Fuji watched on patiently, as an insert promo appeared from Vader, talking about how Yokozuna is still in the World Wrestling Federation, meaning his work is not done! Vader talked about how he beat Yokozuna into the ground last night, as well as his friend Fatu, who stuck his nose in where it didn't belong: but it all ends when the "Mastodon" meets the "Mighty" Yokozuna in the same ring in their next confrontation. Yokozuna eventually managed to put Kama away with the Banzai Drop.
The fans cheered for Yokozuna, as Mr Fuji got in the ring to join the "Mighty" one. Yokozuna and Fuji were victorious tonight after being unsuccessful last night at WrestleMania XII, but suddenly Vader was shown watching on from a television monitor backstage, the "Mastodon" continuing to eye up the 600-pounder! | 00:43 | 12 | In the backstage area, Jake "The Snake" Roberts was shown roaming around gasping his breath, as he was on the lookout for Sean Waltman and the despicable "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, all because of Waltman stealing Roberts' snake Revelations from him earlier tonight, and contributing in Roberts losing to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Roberts was shouting for Waltman, and Jerry Lawler was just laughing about the whole situation on commentary, calling him pathetic! | 00:43 | - | Commercial Break | 00:46 | 13 | Returning to Monday Night RAW, Vince McMahon talked about what was coming up next week on RAW on the USA Network, as the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will get in the ring in non-title action with the British Bulldog; the Ultimate Warrior will make his first ever appearance on RAW when he takes on one-half of the WWF Tag Team Champions Agent Dean Douglas; the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon will do combat with former best friend WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman in non-title action; plus Bret "Hitman" Hart will be with us, explaining his thoughts going out of WrestleMania XII and losing the WWF Championship; plus "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel and "the Mastodon" Vader will be with us! | 00:46 | 14 | The Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer) def. "The Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Elizabeth Hilden) by disqualification [11:26] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The "Deadman" was victorious last night in his outing against his diabolical childhood friend turned mentally disturbed rival, Mankind, in what was a hard-fought battle. But tonight he had to go through the "Blue Blood" from Greenwich, Connecticut, who was also victorious last night in action against "Make A Difference" Fatu on the Free 4-All, Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Hunter tried to pound into the Undertaker in the opening moments of the match, but quite quickly the "Deadman" made a fiery comeback, not allowing Helmsley any offence, as Undertaker flew into Hunter with a big flying clothesline, as Elizabeth Hilden looked startled! Helmsley tried to dodge the Undertaker at ringside following this, trying to hide away from him, but Paul Bearer appeared to creep the "Blue Blood" out as well, the two menacing men from the Darkside cornering Helmsley at ringside! Undertaker continued to take the fight to Helmsley, but Hunter somehow caught 'Taker with a spinebuster before pounding away at the "Deadman". The Undertaker was worked over with numerous lefts and rights, followed up by a high knee drop across the forehead of the Undertaker - but when he went for the Pedigree, the Undertaker easily powered out of it! The Undertaker grabbed Helmsley by the throat for the Tombstone Piledriver, but suddenly Mankind came over the guard rail through the crowd, got into the ring and nailed Undertaker with a baseball bat from behind! Helmsley dropped to the canvas, the "Phenom" falling down to all fours! The referee threw the match out.
The crowd booed loudly, as Mankind nailed the Undertaker one more time with the baseball bat! Mankind then began to choke the "Deadman" out with the bat held against his throat, as Paul Bearer watched in horror! Mankind shoved his hand right into Undertaker's gullet, using the claw to render the Undertaker unconscious, as Monday Night RAW went off the air! | 00:59 |
| NEXT WEEK: THE NEW WWF CHAMPION SHAWN MICHAELS BATTLES THE BRITISH BULLDOG; THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR MAKES HIS RAW DEBUT AGAINST DEAN DOUGLAS; THE "BAD GUY" RAZOR RAMON FIGHTS FORMER FRIEND WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SEAN WALTMAN; BRET "HITMAN" HART SPEAKS OUT; PLUS, "BIG DADDY COOL" DIESEL, "THE MASTODON" VADER AND MORE! |

WWF Superstars - April 6, 1996 San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego, CA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | The opening video package for WWF Superstars aired, before cutting to the San Diego Sports Arena for another edition of Saturday Morning Superstars! Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix introduced us to the show, as they talked about how busy this past week has been for the World Wrestling Federation, with WrestleMania XII being such a big hit for the company, as well as Monday Night RAW. They talked about what was coming up this morning in this hour, as the "King of Harts" Owen Hart is scheduled for competition against the "Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega; the Godwinns take on the Bodydonnas; plus, the "Mastodon" Vader, the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson, "Make A Difference" Fatu and the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw all scheduled for competition! | 00:01 | 2 | "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson def. Tim Patterson [02:11] [+00:01 for Ahmed's entrance] The rookie from Pearl River, Mississippi was defeated for the first time ever last Sunday night at WrestleMania XII, courtesy of the British Bulldog and his cheating tactics; but this morning on Superstars, Ahmed was allowed to vent his frustration, taking it out on Tim Patterson in our opening contest. Johnson continued to tear apart at Patterson, tossing him around the ring as though he was nothing, before putting the exclamation mark on the match with a big Pearl River Plunge, another win for the previously undefeated Ahmed Johnson! An insert promo aired during the match, focused with the British Bulldog and James E. Cornette. Bulldog talking about how he put an end to the undefeated streak of the "Pearl River Powerhouse", and that every win that Johnson earns from now on won't mean a thing because the Bulldog put an end to it. Bulldog talked about how he has humbled Johnson, and proven himself as the strongest man in the World Wrestling Federation!
The crowd cheered as Ahmed Johnson celebrated his victory, the "Pearl River Powerhouse" having gotten himself some better luck going into a new week, but you had to believe that Ahmed was far from over losing to the British Bulldog last Sunday at WrestleMania! | 00:04 | 3 | Back on commentary, Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix discussed WrestleMania XII further, talking about some of the key occurrences from the big event last Sunday night. They discussed the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels fulfilling his boyhood dream of becoming World Wrestling Federation Champion against Bret "Hitman" Hart and Owen Hart in the Triple Threat; before discussing Bret walking out of the Arrowhead Pond looking angry, as well as the occurrence last Monday night on RAW where Owen called Shawn out for a rematch with the WWF Championship on the line! They talked about how Owen Hart was scheduled for one-on-one action with the "Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega later on in the hour. | 00:05 | 4 | An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Superstar Line. | 00:06 | 5 | The Bodydonnas (w/Sunny) def. The Godwinns (w/Hillbilly Jim) [07:15] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The manager for the Bodydonnas, Sunny did some cheerleading at ringside for Skip and Zip, the Bodydonnas having been struggling in recent weeks with thanks to tag teams such as Aldo Montoya and "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly & Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy. The Godwinns meanwhile were looking for some momentum after being screwed out of the WWF Tag Team Championships last Sunday night at WrestleMania against "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas. It was announced during this match in an insert promo by WWF President Mr Perfect that the Godwinns would get a rematch with Jarrett and Douglas for their WWF Tag Team Championships in the near future, and deservedly so, given Jarrett and Douglas cowered away from their match at WrestleMania. The Bodydonnas weren't about to give Henry and Phineas an easy victory however, as Skip and Sunny double-teamed Phineas in the opening moments, just for the Arkansas native country boys to come back in the form of some double-teaming of their own, the larger farmers pounding away at Skip and isolating him away from Zip, before the Bodydonnas wisely made a switch! Zip and Skip got the better of Henry O. Godwinn with the referee oblivious. But on the hot tag, the Godwinns made a comeback, with Phineas going for the Slop Drop just for Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas to come down to ringside! The WWF Tag Team Champions got on the apron distracting the official as Zip broke away from Phineas' Slop Drop and dropkicked him in the knee, both Bodydonnas working together to get Phineas on the top rope for Skip's top rope hurricanrana into a powerbomb! The Bodydonnas got the win in a huge upset, with thanks to the WWF Tag Team Champions!
The crowd booed loudly as Skip and Zip's hands were raised in victory, the two men celebrating with their manager Sunny over the fallen Phineas I. Godwinn. Dok Hendrix complimented the WWF Tag Team Champions on taking the opportunity on giving the Godwinns a horrible week, as Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas began to leave, huge smiles on their faces! Hillbilly Jim and Henry O. Godwinn aided to Phineas as the Bodydonnas continued to strut around victoriously. | 00:16 | - |
Commercial Break | 00:20 | 6 | The WWF Slam of the Week aired, taking us back to Monday Night RAW where the Undertaker was about to put Hunter Hearst Helmsley away with the Tombstone Piledriver in their match, when Mankind appeared through the crowd and assaulted the Undertaker with a baseball bat! Mankind choked Undertaker out with the claw as Paul Bearer watched in terror whilst RAW went off the air.
| 00:21 | 7 | In a pre-recorded video segment, we saw Mankind crawling out of darkness in what appeared to be a boiler room setting, or basement style area. Mankind grunted as his menacing pianist music played in the background, his grunting and groaning echoing throughout the scene. Mankind was crawling towards the camera, as he talked about how he put the Undertaker away on Monday night to prove a point, that he is the one to finally dethrone the "Deadman", to dethrone Mark after all that he has done! Mankind talked about how he used to be normal, he used to be sane, until the Undertaker screwed it into a ball and threw it away! He burnt the house down like he burnt down his life. And for that, win or loss, he will get the Undertaker, and he will destroy him! Mankind told us that the worst is yet to come, before cackling and cradling his legs, rocking back and forth maniacally. | 00:23 | 8 | "The Mastodon" Vader (w/James E. Cornette) def. Greg Davis [01:15] [+00:01 for Vader's entrance] The 450-pounder made an impact in previous months in the World Wrestling Federation, destroying everyone in his path, whether it be President Gorilla Monsoon, or even Yokozuna; however last Sunday night was the night that Vader defeated Yokozuna not purely by himself, but instead because of the presence of James E. Cornette, protecting himself to prevent a match against himself taking place. The "Mastodon" Vader easily disposed of Greg Davis in this match, as James E. Cornette and Vader talked in an insert promo. Cornette talked about how he has assembled the most powerful faction in WWF history: he may have gotten knocked out last Monday night by the WWF Champion Shawn Michaels, but when Shawn gets in the ring with Owen Hart one-on-one, he will destroy the boyhood dream, and that WWF Championship will come home. As for Yokozuna, Cornette said that they made it clear that Camp Cornette had not finished with Yokozuna on RAW this past week. Cornette vowed to defeat Yokozuna and wipe him off of the face of the World Wrestling Federation. | 00:25 | 9 | An advertisement aired, previewing this week's edition of Monday Night RAW on the USA Network. The "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will get in the ring in non-title action with the British Bulldog; the Ultimate Warrior will make his first ever appearance on RAW when he takes on one-half of the WWF Tag Team Champions Agent Dean Douglas; the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon will do combat with former best friend WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman in non-title action; plus Bret "Hitman" Hart will be with us, explaining his thoughts going out of WrestleMania XII and losing the WWF Championship; plus "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel and "the Mastodon" Vader will be in the house next week from 9/8 CT. | 00:26 | 10 | "The Outlaw" James Bradshaw (w/Uncle Zebekiah) def. Shawn Dakota [03:28] [+00:01 for Bradshaw's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] Uncle Zebekiah was on commentary in this match, as he talked about how tough the Texan James Bradshaw looked two weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, when the "Outlaw" locked it up with the Undertaker in singles action. Zebekiah talked about how James Bradshaw is here to represent the real world of the United States of America, for Bradshaw to eject any WWF superstars that don't deserve to be here, in the USA. Bradshaw talked about several superstars being a part of the World Wrestling Federation that are not from the United States, claiming for these select superstars to be illegally in the country. Zebekiah talked about Savio Vega, Aldo Montoya, the Bushwhackers, Fatu, Tatanka, and Yokozuna - all of these superstars do not belong here because they do not represent the United States of America properly. Zebekiah told us that Bradshaw would plow through all of the competition. Meanwhile, Bradshaw dominated Dakota with Shawn getting a little offense in, but the Western Lariat gave the "Outlaw" another victory.
The fans booed loudly as James Bradshaw celebrated another victory this morning on Superstars. Uncle Zebekiah then went to join Bradshaw in the ring, as Zebekiah got on the microphone and announced that the "Outlaw" was here to protect the United States from outsiders of all kinds, which is why he is going to go on tour, and defeat every WWF superstar that is not from the USA! The crowd booed louder, as Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix argued about how that was morally acceptable! | 00:31 | - | Commercial Break | 00:35 | 11 | We went to Todd Pettingill in the WWF editing room, here for the WWF In Your House report. Pettingill talked about WrestleMania XII, and how gigantic an event that was, before talking about In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, April 28, 1996. Pettingill talked about how the event is starting to shape it slowly, talking about last Monday night on RAW where the "Bizarre One" Goldust challenged the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon to a WrestleMania rematch, one brawl to end it all in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl. Pettingill replayed the clip of Goldust talking about how he wants to end the "Bad Guy", because business with the gold man lasts forever, before talking about how Razor Ramon did not hesitate to accept. However Razor did it over the phone, whereas he sent the editing squad a personal video message. The footage showed Razor Ramon in front of a backdrop, as Ramon talked about how he had been plagued by Goldust for so many months, and after defeating Goldust once, apparently the "Bizarre One" wants some more. Because Goldust needs to be proven some more about respect, and how Razor will have no problem showing him around Hollywood, and he will rip him limb from limb to see if Goldust has any masculine fortitude, because the "Bad Guy" sees nothing, and the "Bad Guy" wants to make a man out of the golden boy. Pettingill also talked about how Sean Waltman stole Jake Roberts' snake, Revelations from him last Monday night during a match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and since then, Jake "The Snake" Roberts has made a point of challenging Waltman to put his WWF Intercontinental Championship on the line on April 28! Pettingill noted how Jake had never won a championship in the WWF, and with the Ressurection of Jake Roberts continuing, April 28th could be that night! Pettingill announced more to be announced in the coming weeks, signing off. | 00:37 | 12 | "Make A Difference" Fatu def. Raven Clark [03:42] [+00:01 for Fatu's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] Fatu was unsuccessful last Sunday night at WrestleMania XII, where he fell to Hunter Hearst Helmsley in the Free 4-All prior to the grandest stage of them all, but later on in the show, it was Fatu who tried to make a difference by making the save for the "Mighty" Yokozuna, who was being assaulted by the "Mastodon" Vader following their titanic bout. "Make A Difference" got the better of Raven Clark in this match, making short work of him this morning on Superstars. Fatu soon put Clark down with the Samoan Shuffle Kick for three. Meanwhile, Fatu had some comments to say in an insert promo, as "Make A Difference" talked about how his nickname was not just for show, it was for real. Fatu talked about how he was protecting his cousin Yokozuna from injury, because the "Mastodon" Vader is a bully and needs to put in his place!
The fans cheered, as "Make A Difference" Fatu began to leave, celebrating his victory along the way - when suddenly Vader came down the aisleway and traded blows with Fatu! Vader tried to pound away at Fatu against a guard rail, wanting to teach the Samoan a lesson after getting in his business with Yokozuna last Sunday; but Fatu began to fight back, giving Vader a drop toe hold into the steel steps! Fatu continued to celebrate, as the 450-pounder had been outsmarted by the husky Samoan, for the first time ever Vader made a fool of! | 00:42 | 13 | Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix talked about this edition of WWF Saturday Morning Superstars before urging us to tune in next week to Superstars, as we would see the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw take on the "Portuguese Man O'War" Aldo Montoya in his first "Patriotism Challenge" against non-American performers; the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley takes on the "Native American" Tatanka; plus "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Marty Jannetty & Leif Cassidy and WWF Tag Team Champion "Double J" Jeff Jarrett will be in action! | 00:43 | - | Commercial Break | 00:46 | 14 | A vignette aired, promoting the debut of Riley O'Finley, the tough Irishman. | 00:47 | 15 | "The King of Harts" Owen Hart (w/James E. Cornette) def. "The Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega [08:24] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:02 for aftermath] Savio Vega was on the winning side last Sunday at WrestleMania XII, the "Puerto Rican Superman" teaming up with the "Native American" Tatanka and Jake the "Snake" Roberts to defeat the Million Dollar Corporation, but now it was time to step it up a notch against an angry, ego-driven Owen Hart, the "King of Harts" who came close to winning the WWF Championship in the main event of WrestleMania that very same night, six days ago. Owen was accompanied by James E. Cornette, spelling more trouble for Cornette here, as Vega managed to get the better of Owen early on using his athleticism; but the "Puerto Rican Superman" almost had Owen done with the Caribbean Kick extremely early in the bout, just for Owen to dodge it and catch Vega with the enzuigiri! Owen then decided to work over Vega, who did not seem with it whatsoever, Owen confidently pounding away at Vega and working over the spine by stretching it. Eventually, Savio began to make a comeback, a hurricanrana taking Owen down, but Hart cut him off, and decisively put Vega in the Sharpshooter, putting Vega out like a light!
The crowd booed as the "King of Harts" celebrated his victory. James E. Cornette got into the ring after the match, microphone in hand, Owen Hart and Cornette with something to say. Cornette told Shawn Michaels that he had no business assaulting Cornette, which is why he has faxed Clarence Mason some papers, and those papers are to sue the "Heartbreak Kid" for assault on him last Monday night on RAW! Cornette then talked about Michaels being so high on ego since winning the WWF Championship. Owen took the microphone and challenged Shawn to put the WWF Championship on the line with him, one more time! Owen talked about how Shawn has ran from him, he's stolen from him, so why not dare even THINK about beating him! Owen challenged Michaels to put the WWF Championship on the line at In Your House to boos, as Owen continued to celebrate his win. Superstars went off the air. | 00:59 |
| NEXT WEEK: "THE BLUE BLOOD" HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY TAKES ON THE "NATIVE AMERICAN" TATANKA; "THE OUTLAW" JAMES BRADSHAW INTRODUCES THE "PATRIOTISM CHALLENGE" AGAINST ALDO MONTOYA; PLUS "BIG DADDY COOL" DIESEL, "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN, MARTY JANNETTY & LEIF CASSIDY AND "DOUBLE J" JEFF JARRETT IN ACTION! |

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, April 8, 1996
- Bret Hart has definitely not signed with World Championship Wrestling, but is instead taking some time away from the World Wrestling Federation. He is said to be genuinely frustrated with the company, and how his reign as WWF Champion was laid out, and the story could make Monday Night RAW this week with an authentic twist. It is currently unknown when the 39 year-old will return, but he is said to be exhausted and in dire need of a break.
- Additionally, Diesel has indeed signed with World Championship Wrestling, although after the speculation brought up over whether Razor Ramon would also be leaving the World Wrestling Federation; is not true. Ramon re-signed a deal with the WWF for three more years with the company. It makes sense, given that Diesel lost at WrestleMania XII whereas Razor won against the uprising Goldust.
- Mr Perfect, who has not wrestled since 1993 and has served as an on-air non wrestler in recent months may be making a return to the ring. Perfect, who took out an insurance policy with Lloyd's of London in June 1995, has been unable to compete because of this policy, though the policy expires this June, and given Perfect's inclusion in storylines as of late, in particular with Diesel and Vader, it appears as though he might be making a comeback from the back injury he suffered three years ago.
- As of tonight's edition of Monday Night RAW ongoing, RAW will go on the air on the USA Network from 8:57pm - three minutes prior to the start of WCW Monday Nitro. This is used as a technique to grab the viewers' attention and slide them away from Nitro. Time will tell to see whether this format works. Another worry for the World Wrestling Federation is the alleged rumors of WCW Nitro expanding to a two-hour format - something which WWF RAW could not do two weeks ago in comparison to the one-hour Nitro.
- On the topic, WCW Monday Nitro received a 3.7 rating to WWF Monday Night RAW's 3.5 - the fallout from WrestleMania XII obviously gave the WWF some credibility for RAW. However, it did not turn out to be the show that everybody wanted, with RAW this coming week appearing more built up in comparison to last week's episode.
- Riley O'Finley is European professional wrestler David Finley - known as "Fit" Finley. The former World of Sport talent from Northern Ireland will portray the stereotype of a beer-drinking Irishman, and is expected to portray a babyface given the weak dividend of the face locker room.
- The latest edition of the WWF Magazine introduced the pay-per-view format for the upcoming months. Note how the pay-per-views assumed to be "In Your House" events are listed as "Federation PPV". The calendar is as follows: - In Your House - 4/28/96 - Omaha, NE - Omaha Civic Auditorium - In Your House - 5/26/96 - Florence, SC - Florence Civic Center - King of the Ring - 6/30/96 - Milwaukee, WI - MECCA Arena - "Federation PPV" - 7/21/96 - Vancouver, British Columbia - General Motors Place - SummerSlam - 8/18/96 - Cleveland, OH - Gund Arena - "Federation PPV" - 9/22/96 - Philadelphia, PA - CoreStates Center - "Federation PPV" - 10/20/96 - Indianapolis, IN - Market Square Arena - Survivor Series - 11/17/96 - New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - "Federation PPV" - 12/15/96 - West Palm Beach, FL - West Palm Beach Auditorium
- Billy Gunn has nearly fully recovered from the neck injury he was forced to leave the World Wrestling Federation with back in February, and should be expected to be back on television by May. His partner Bart Gunn has not appeared much on television since Billy was taken out with injury, and is expected to return as the Smoking Gunns going into the summer.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 4/1/1996. In results from the show: - The Undertaker def. Hunter Hearst Helmsley by disqualification. - Yokozuna def. Kama - Goldust def. Freddie Joe Floyd - Steve Austin def. Jake Roberts
- WCW Monday Nitro this past week aired on 4/1/1996. In results from the card: - Ric Flair def. Lex Luger to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. - Hulk Hogan & The Booty Man def. Arn Anderson & Kevin Sullivan - The Steiner Brothers def. The Road Warriors & The Nasty Boys in a triangle tag team match. - The Giant def. Sting by disqualification.
- WWF In Your House is live on pay-per-view on 4/28/1996. The card is as follows: - Shawn Michaels vs Owen Hart for the WWF Championship. (spec.) - Goldust vs Razor Ramon in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl. - Yokozuna vs Vader (spec.) - Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas vs The Godwinns for the WWF Tag Team Championship. (spec.) - Sean Waltman vs Jake Roberts for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Fall out from WrestleMania....
Glad to see Austin get a victory over Jake, it also seems that you are building Jake up for a future match with Jerry Lawler and now Sean Waltman too. That'interesting as one could easily lead into the other.
Like the way your dealing with the way Bret is handling the loss and the little hints at a heel turn, with the eyes rolling and walking out. Look forward to hearing from Bret next week. You may decide to put Bret on the shelf for a bit, you may turn Bret heel or you could just have Bret vow to regain his title all interesting possibilities. Bret & Shawn had such a personality clash that whatever they were involved in together just clicked for me.
Good segment with HBK and Owen building to a match between the two of them at the next PPV possibly. Owen was then kept strong on Superstars
You made Razor/Goldust match at Mania feel like a big deal and now we will see it again at In Your House, also an interesting call to keep Razor on board. Like to see where you take this.
Few rivalries are continuing like Taker/Mankind, Vader/Yoko, Bulldog/Ahmed, Godwinns/Tag champs which is fine in most cases. Also you are debuting Finlay which will be interesting to watch because haven't you just debuted Bradshaw with a similar gimmick or is that someone elses diary?
Overall, enjoyed the week you dealt with the Mania fallout well and built to the next show, that's a winner for me.
Cheap Plug| TNA48 has been posted and TNA49 will be posted shortly, read them quick before you got too much to catch up on!

I'd pay to see a feud between 96 Finlay and 96 Bradshaw in a good old fashioned bar room brawl.
Loved your Wrestlemania, as all the bookings made sense (to me, anyway), especially since you'll be keeping Razor around for the forseeable future. I'd honestly like to see Bret take some time off, as his time away allowed the burgeoning Attitude era to really start to blossom in the summer of 96, and it set up the groundwork for his feud with Austin in the fall. I understand taking a different direction, but I think it worked perfectly in real life.
Certainly looking forward to what you have in store.

WWF Monday Night RAW - April 8, 1996 The Orange Pavilion - San Bernardino, CA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | Vince McMahon's voice narrated the fallout of WrestleMania XII, featuring some brief stills of Shawn Michaels winning the World Wrestling Federation Championship after defeating Bret Hart and Owen Hart, before showcasing the "Hitman" walking out and storming off in his car following the biggest show of the year, previewing the former WWF Champion making his return to Monday Night RAW tonight; but also, the confrontations from Owen Hart and James E. Cornette, pushing Shawn Michaels to put his newly won WWF Championship on the line, and how Michaels would respond after nailing Cornette with the Sweet Chin Music last Monday night!; But then, it was Mankind who assaulted the Undertaker during his match with Hunter Hearst Helmsley last week, Mankind doing the unthinkable and rendering the "Deadman" unconscious - it all comes to a head tonight on RAW! The opening video package for Monday Night RAW aired, before cutting to the Orange Pavilion where the sirens were going off; Vince McMahon alongside Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcoming us to the show. They hyped up what was to come in this hour, a night where the new WWF Champion Shawn Michaels will do battle with the British Bulldog in non-title action; "the Bad Guy" Razor Ramon will mix it up one more time with his former friend and previous rival, the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman; And not only that but the Ultimate Warrior will make his long awaited debut on RAW, returning to television in the World Wrestling Federation as he takes on one-half of the WWF Tag Team Champions, Agent Dean Douglas! | 00:03 | 2 | In an unexpected twist, the annoying voice of James E. Cornette was heard talking into a microphone, as Cornette then came storming down to the ring by himself, talking about how he could not believe how last Monday night turned out, how he was unfairly laid out with Sweet Chin Music, how he was victimized by that no-good fiend, Shawn Michaels. Cornette got into the ring as he talked about how the "Heartbreak Kid" is the WWF Champion - but that's meant to symbolize representing the company, and last week, Shawn Michaels embarrassed the entire World Wrestling Federation by laying him out in this ring! The fans cheered as Cornette was getting angrier, the tennis racket-wielding Cornette then talking about how the WWF Championship should be around the waist of someone with more class than what Shawn Michaels brings to the table, a man of pride, dignity, and all of the true wrestling abilities in the world, the "King of Harts"! The crowd booed as Cornette reminded us that Owen is the 1994 King of the Ring winner and the 1996 Royal Rumble winner, and how he has defeated both Bret "Hitman" Hart and Shawn Michaels in singles encounters - talking about how Owen should be the WWF Champion today, calling Shawn Michaels a coward for not accepting the challenge! Cornette relayed us to video footage from WWF Saturday Morning Superstars this past weekend, where Owen officially challenged Shawn to a match for the WWF Championship, one last encounter to settle the score. Returning to the Pavilion, Cornette dared Shawn to accept the challenge, before sarcastically wishing Michaels luck walking out of the building tonight after his match with the British Bulldog! The crowd booed as Cornette left the ring quickly, McMahon questioning Cornette's tactics here. | 00:07 | 3 | Vince McMahon and Jim Ross soon shifted the attention towards last Monday night on RAW, replaying footage of Jake "the Snake" Roberts in the midst of a hard-fought match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, when suddenly the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman ran down to ringside and stole Roberts' snake Revelations from him! McMahon previewed that we would be hearing from Waltman following this opening contest tonight. | 00:08 | 4 | WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman (w/Ted Dibiase and Revelations) def. "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon [10:39 - exceeded one commercial break] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:02 for aftermath] These two men have had a lot of history in the past couple of years, dating back as far as Monday Night RAW in 1993, where Razor Ramon suffered defeat to the rookie 1-2-3 Kid - which soon led to an unstoppable bond between two friends, the "Bad Guy" and the Kid. However it was the "Million Dollar Man" who got inside of the Kid's head, leading to Sean Waltman turning his back on Razor Ramon and managing to steal the WWF Intercontinental Championship from Razor's waist back at the Royal Rumble - of course only with assistance from the "Bizarre One" Goldust, Razor's opponent at In Your House. Ramon started off fiercely, wanting to seek revenge after all of the dastardly deeds Waltman and Dibiase had done as part of the Million Dollar Corporation. Ramon caught Waltman with the fallaway slam, as Ted Dibiase was shown with the snake of Jake Roberts' in his hands, wrapped in a burlap sack - a reminder of how Waltman kidnapped Revelations earlier tonight. Razor Ramon was on a roll, but the distractions from Ted Dibiase at ringside led to Waltman getting in a sly kick to the head of the "Bad Guy", and Waltman went to work on Ramon! The WWF Intercontinental Champion was letting his ego flow as we returned from the commercial break, but Razor soon fought back, dodging Waltman's attempt at a crotch drop in the corner and instead crotching the champion on the bottom rope! Razor was setting up for the Razor's Edge, but Goldust suddenly popped up from the ring apron! "The Bizarre One" caught Ramon off-guard, as Goldust blew Ramon a kiss, leading to Waltman cradling Ramon with his foot hooking the bottom rope - the WWF Intercontinental Champion stealing another victory!
The crowd booed loudly as Sean Waltman quickly sped out of the ring, Razor Ramon meanwhile speeding up to his feet in shock of suffering defeat to his former best friend once again! The "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase handed Waltman the WWF Intercontinental Championship and the burlap sack containing Revelations, as Waltman suddenly dropped the burlap sack on the floor, teasing to step on it! The crowd booed as Waltman and Dibiase left, Waltman dragging the burlap sack behind him! Meanwhile, Goldust continued to taunt Razor Ramon in the ring, the referee restraining the "Bad Guy" - but Razor soon let loose and chased after Goldust! Goldust jumped Razor in the ropes as the two brawled at ringside, trading fierce blows - but finally referees were able to break up the action! The crowd booed the decision, but Jim Ross declared that at In Your House, the score would be settled once and for all in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl! | 00:22 | 5 | In the backstage area, the cameras caught up with the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase and the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman backstage, Todd Pettingill wanting to get some comments from Waltman and Dibiase. Dibiase talked about how everybody has a price for the "Million Dollar Man", but what gets him the most is that Jake Roberts did not give Dibiase a price - he tried to give the "Snake" everything, and for what? Rebellion. Dibiase talked about how this is a Capitalistic world, and that money conquers all - without that, the rich repossess! Waltman held the burlap sack up to the camera like it was nothing, as he talked about how he has been underestimated and frowned upon for being a small rookie for so long - it's gotten old. Waltman talked about how he isn't the 1-2-3 Kid anymore, because the Kid has grown into a man. Waltman talked about how he's here to start his own upstart, he's been the WWF Intercontinental Champion for 78 days and counting, and on April 28th at In Your House, he would put an end to this silly nostalgia act that is the "Resurrection of Jake "The Snake" Roberts". | 00:23 | 6 | Vince McMahon promoted what was still to come tonight on Monday Night RAW through graphics, as Bret "Hitman" Hart is set to speak out about what has been running through his mind in the past eight days after losing the WWF Championship to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XII; and later on the new WWF Champion Shawn Michaels does battle with the British Bulldog; but up next, the Ultimate Warrior is back, when he takes on WWF Tag Team Champion Agent Dean Douglas! | 00:24 | 7 | An advertisement aired, promoting WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, April 28, 1996.
| 00:25 | - | Commercial Break | 00:28 | 8 | The Ultimate Warrior def. WWF Tag Team Champion Agent Dean Douglas (w/Jeff Jarrett) [03:11] [+00:01 for Warrior's entrance; +00:02 for pre-match events] The theme of "Double J" Jeff Jarrett was playing as Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas stood in the ring, "Double J" carrying his trusty acoustic guitar as always. Jarrett had a microphone as he talked about how it feels good to be the best selling country singer in Tennessee today, and how it feels good to be the WWF Tag Team Champions. Jarrett talked about how he has just been told by WWF President Mr Perfect that on April 28, Jarrett and Douglas must put their titles on the line against the Godwinns, which is fine and dandy because "Double J" and Agent Douglas will rise to the occasion yet again, and prove why they are the WWF Tag Team Champions - and that's a fact! The fans were disapproving, as Douglas then began to talk about the Ultimate Warrior, slandering him for his performance at WrestleMania, looking "boarish" and completely humiliating himself - that was all said and done until the theme of the Ultimate Warrior hit, out coming the Warrior! Jarrett cowered at ringside as the Warrior ran the ropes, but Dean Douglas wisely tried to jump the Warrior as he was shaking the ropes! Douglas continued to pound away at the Ultimate Warrior, the fans in San Bernardino still going crazy for the Warrior to pump up, chanting the Warrior's name as Douglas choked Warrior over the middle rope, whilst mocking him and exchanging jokes with "Double J" at ringside. Jim Ross noted that they would be getting some words with the Godwinns after this match, as Warrior suddenly hyped up, clocking Jeff Jarrett through the ropes! The Warrior absorbed several punches from Douglas before he picked him up and gorilla press slammed him, Warrior darting off of the ropes and coming back with a big splash across the back of Douglas, giving the Warrior another victory!
The fans were going crazy in the sold-out Orange Pavilion, as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas had just become victims of the Ultimate Warrior! The Warrior taunted for the 8,000 strong in San Bernardino, as Jerry Lawler questioned who would even want to get in the ring with this maniac, claiming that Jarrett and Douglas deserved much better than this! | 00:34 | 9 | In the backstage area, Dok Hendrix was standing by with the Godwinns, Henry, Phineas and Hillbilly Jim - as Jim had brought a little critter along with him, a hog! Hendrix asked about the pig before Henry and Phineas began to talk about how the Godwinns are a family, they may be farmers, they may be stereotypes from Arkansas, but they are real life people - and they have been invaded by the poser boys, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and his "country music stylings" - and Agent Dean Douglas and his lying, Pittsburgh ways! The Godwinns joked about how they were humiliated by the Ultimate Warrior moments ago, before getting serious again, stating that they were going to win those WWF Tag Team Championships this time, at In Your House in under three weeks time! | 00:35 | 10 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler continued to talk about the "Hitman" storming out of WrestleMania XII eight days ago, showing footage of the "Hitman" leaving the Arrowhead Pond literally as soon as he lost the World Wrestling Federation Championship to Shawn Michaels. They pondered what Bret would have to say when he addresses the WWF audience next! | 00:35 | - | Commercial Break | 00:38 | 11 | We returned to Monday Night RAW as Vince McMahon introduced the former WWF Champion, Bret "Hitman" Hart! The fans exploded in San Bernardino for the return of the "Hitman", Bret Hart then gracing the Orange Pavilion wearing jeans and a leather jacket - the "Hitman" sporting a reluctant smirk on his face. Bret walked down to the ring for this interview with McMahon, as Vince talked about how he had seen it all in the World Wrestling Federation, he has seen Bret rise through the ranks of the locker room, from WWF Tag Team Champion to WWF Intercontinental Champion to WWF Champion - a multi-time one at that! McMahon then commented on what was playing on Bret's mind after walking out of the Arrowhead Pond eight nights ago and not contacting anybody in the World Wrestling Federation with details. Bret told Vince that honestly, he isn't a happy man. Bret talked about how he's bust his ass for so many years, and when he lost the World Wrestling Federation Championship at WrestleMania XII, a part of his desire died - his motivation, gone. Hart told Vince that he was feeling disrespecting by the lack of respect displayed by Shawn Michaels. Bret then talked about how he has been competing with an injured knee for many months now, and he has also gone through some emotional trauma given by his brother Owen Hart, and how he made the "Hitman" think that the hatchet had finally been buried, just to be betrayed! The fans booed, as Bret sorrowfully told the San Bernardino crowd that he was going to go home to Calgary and clear his head - but stated that he would be back, and that when he returns at 100% emotionally, mentally, physically, the "Hitman" would rise the ranks once again and become the World Wrestling Federation Champion one more time! The fans cheered as certain women in the crowd began to cry, as Vince wished Bret the best of luck. Hart told the fans that it's all on them for being in his corner all of this time - but right now he has to go home and recover - for the people. Bret posed for the crowd, when suddenly the "Mastodon" Vader jumped Bret! Vader took Bret down with a big body block, Vader then picking the wounded "Hitman" up and pounding him repeatedly with those massive fists of his, then sending the "Hitman" into the corner and splashing him! Vader screamed in the former WWF Champion's face, before he got him near the corner, and exposed the knee brace on Bret's injured leg, propping it on the bottom rope. The fans could not believe it and neither could a startled Vince McMahon, as Vader went up to the second rope, and came off with the Vader Bomb right across the bad knee of the "Hitman"! The crowd booed loudly as Vader stood dominantly over a badly hurt Bret Hart! Officials came down to aid to Bret, as Vader left, McMahon unable to know where to stand in such a situation. | 00:44 | 12 | A vignette aired, featuring newcomer to the World Wrestling Federation Riley O'Finley, who was shown sitting on the side of the ring with a glass of Scotch, talking about how he is coming to the WWF to make the world see who Riley O'Finley truly is, talking about how he has fought with the best of them, and he has won every time - but now it is time to get in the ring and show everybody what the Irish are made of! A montage then followed, showcasing O'Finley's in-ring abilities, including plenty of submission holds and chain wrestling, with rolls and twirls included. Finley defeated his opponent in red shorts with an Indian deathlock submission, as Finley talked into the camera whilst his opponent screamed in pain. Riley O'Finley is coming to the World Wrestling Federation. | 00:45 | 13 | A graphic aired, as Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler promoted the main event between the new WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and the British Bulldog, which is coming up next! | 00:45 | - | Commercial Break | 00:48 | 14 | We returned to Monday Night RAW in the Orange Pavilion, as Vince McMahon had returned to commentary, McMahon discussing next week's RAW featuring an update on the condition of Bret "Hitman" Hart after he was brutally assaulted by Vader moments ago; but also next week, the "Mastodon" Vader will face the "Mighty" Yokozuna in an anticipated rematch from WrestleMania XII; The Godwinns will be in action against the New Zealand oddballs, the Bushwhackers; Ahmed Johnson will be in action against the "Bizarre One" Goldust, plus more on RAW next week, from 8:57/7:57 ET only on the USA Network! | 00:49 | 14 | WWF Champion "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs The British Bulldog (w/James E. Cornette) never began [00:00] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:05 for events] The "Heartbreak Kid" was out here for his first match as reigning World Wrestling Federation Champion, eight days after his victory against Bret "Hitman" Hart and the "King of Harts" Owen Hart, but it was not meant to be as the British Bulldog confidently awaited the arrival of Shawn Michaels from the ring - Michaels showboating for the capacity crowd in the Orange Pavilion before suddenly the "King of Harts" Owen Hart jumped Shawn! The crowd were booing loudly, as Owen sent Michaels spine first into the guard railing before tossing him carelessly to the floor, Michaels winding up near the ringside area. Owen picked the WWF Champion's head up and slammed him face first onto the steel steps before rolling him into the ring, into the waiting arms of the Bulldog! The crowd booed as James E. Cornette directed traffic, Bulldog picking Shawn Michaels up and dropping him with a big Running Powerslam! The fans did not like this one bit, as the "King of Harts" continued to pound away at the new WWF Champion, Hart jealous of Michaels' victory at WrestleMania XII, repeatedly screaming at Shawn that it was his destiny to be the better man, Cornette telling Shawn to accept the challenge to the "King of Harts"! Bulldog raised Michaels up to his feet, when Michaels made a comeback, striking Bulldog several times until Owen suddenly cut the "Heartbreak Kid" off with a big backbreaker! Owen proceeded to lock in the Sharpshooter, when suddenly "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel came down to the ring, a baseball bat in hand! Diesel got in the ring, and as Owen Hart and the British Bulldog charged for Diesel getting over the top rope, "Big Daddy Cool" clocked Bulldog with the baseball bat, then giving Owen a big right hand! Diesel picked Bulldog up and gave him a Jackknife Powerbomb, as Owen and Jim Cornette fled the ring!
"Big Daddy Cool" was back in a new way, realigning with Shawn Michaels as the Dudes with Attitude! "Big Daddy Cool" helped the "Heartbreak Kid" to his feet, as Shawn Michaels and Diesel did their signature hand gesture, Camp Cornette retreating as Monday Night RAW went off the air! | 00:56 |
| NEXT WEEK: THE "MIGHTY" YOKOZUNA MEETS THE "MASTODON" VADER IN A WRESTLEMANIA XII REMATCH; THE "PEARL RIVER POWERHOUSE" AHMED JOHNSON TAKES ON THE "BIZARRE ONE" GOLDUST; THE GODWINNS FACE THE BUSHWHACKERS; PLUS AN UPDATE ON BRET "HITMAN" HART'S CONDITION, AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM WWF PRESIDENT MR PERFECT AND MORE! |

WWF Superstars - April 13, 1996 San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego, CA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | A video package aired, showcasing the reuniting of the Dudes with Attitude, the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels being assaulted by the "King of Harts" Owen Hart and the British Bulldog, before "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel made the save, causing James E. Cornette's camp to retreat. The opening video package for WWF Saturday Morning Superstars aired, as we cut to the San Diego Sports Arena. Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix welcomed us to the show, talking about what was coming up in this hour of Superstars this morning, when the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley takes on the "Native American" Tatanka; the first stage of the Patriotism Challenge with the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw doing battle with the "Portuguese Man O'War" Aldo Montoya; plus, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, Marty Jannetty & Leif Cassidy, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett & "Stone Cold" Steve Austin are all scheduled for competition! | 00:02 | 2 | "The Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Elizabeth Hilden) def. "The Native American" Tatanka [09:32] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Hunter Hearst Helmsley was last seen in a hard-fought contest with the Undertaker just under two weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, and he was walking with egotism on his side, led to the ring as always by his valet, Elizabeth Hilden. Meanwhile, the "Native American" Tatanka was coming off of a big victory after WrestleMania XII, teaming up with Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Savio Vega defeating the Million Dollar Corporation. Here was another example of the high class style of Greenwich snob Helmsley against the "Native American", and Tatanka unloaded in the opening moments, chopping away at Helmsley and pounding at him, before Helmsley spontaneously reversed a sidewalk slam into a facebuster, before quickly going to work on the face of Tatanka, specifically the nose. The "Blue Blood" curtseyed as the fans booed, Tatanka continuously trying to get the upper hand of Helmsley, to which he finally did after being cut off twice before - Tatanka unloading again on Helmsley with some fierce chips, Tatanka clotheslining Helmsley hard before motioning for the Native American Drop! Tatanka got Hunter up, but Helmsley slipped out of it and nailed the neckbreaker, before quickly picking Tatanka up and capitalising on the Pedigree, giving Helmsley the victory!
The fans booed as Hunter Hearst Helmsley celebrated his win, the "Blue Blood" curtseying once again for the disapproving fans in San Diego. Elizabeth Hilden joined Helmsley in the ring, as Todd Pettingill got into the ring to join Helmsley for a few comments. Helmsley talked about how he's stepping in the ring with the best of them and beating them, so he's going out on a limb and saying that he could put away the Ultimate Warrior just like he did Tatanka, just like he took the Undertaker to the limit two weeks ago on RAW! Helmsley talked about how he would love to civilize that classless ogre, the Ultimate Warrior! Helmsley challenged Warrior, something Pettingill was indeed surprised by. | 00:14 | 3 | Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix soon shifted the attention back onto the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel getting the Kliq back together last Monday on RAW, Diesel having saved Shawn from a beatdown courtesy of the "King of Harts" Owen Hart and the British Bulldog. They then talked about how Owen challenged Shawn to one last encounter for the WWF Championship at In Your House, before leading us to a video tape of Shawn and Diesel in the dressing room after RAW ended last week. Shawn was shown holding his head, the WWF Championship on his shoulder, the "Heartbreak Kid" talking about how Owen Hart has been a thorn in his side for so long now, and that it is time for this whole game to end. Shawn talked about how he is going to take on allcomers, whether it be Owen Hart, whether it be Bret Hart, whether it be the Ultimate Warrior or anybody in the back. Shawn talked about how he accepts Owen Hart's challenge, vowing to put an end to the "King of Harts"'s so-called destiny - because it took Shawn so much blood, sweat and tears to get the top, and he isn't letting go of it any time yet! | 00:15 | - | Commercial Break | 00:19 | 5 | Marty Jannetty & Leif Cassidy def. Mike Starr & Larry Sampson [02:56] [+00:01 for Jannetty & Cassidy's entrance] The newest tag team to break out onto the scene were in action, as Marty Jannetty struggled for so many weeks to find a tag team partner good enough to beat the Bodydonnas in tag action; that match was revealed shortly after to be Leif Cassidy, the 32 year-old all-rounder from Lima, Ohio. Cassidy and Jannetty worked hard together in this match against Mike Starr and Larry Sampson, as Sampson managed to use the experience factor to work over Cassidy, until Cassidy fired back with an impressive array of attacks, an arm drag and a hurricanrana amongst them. Cassidy and Jannetty double-teamed Starr with a double dropkick, Cassidy even nailing a springboard moonsault plancha onto Sampson, impressive for a 240-pounder! Jannetty meanwhile put Starr away with the Rocker Dropper, giving this new tandem the win. In an insert promo, the Bodydonnas appeared with Sunny talking about how Jannetty and Cassidy may have bettered them two weeks ago on Superstars, but that Skip and Zip were new and improved, and ready to beat this upstart tag team and prove themselves as future WWF Tag Team Champions.
The crowd cheered as Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy celebrated their victory, Cassidy doing a backflip off of the top rope in celebration, landing on his feet! Jim Ross predicted big things for Jannetty and Cassidy in the coming months. | 00:23 | 6 |
An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Superstar Line. | 00:24 | 7 | "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (w/Ted Dibiase) def. Jason Castro [02:23] [+00:01 for Austin's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] The "Million Dollar Man" brought "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to the World Wrestling Federation back in December, and Austin has since proven himself to be very credible and technically sound in the ring, appearing menacing and unrelenting in the ring. This morning on Superstars, Steve Austin continued his rampage on poor Jason Castro, pounding away at him and choking him out with the middle ring rope, as Ted Dibiase held the snake of Jake "The Snake" Roberts in his hands. Austin made short work of Castro and put him away with the Million Dollar Dream, Austin with an expressionless look of intensity. In an insert promo, Dibiase and Austin were shown, the "Million Dollar Man" talking about how his Corporation represents the future, how Sean Waltman is standing as the WWF Intercontinental Champion and weeks away from defeating Jake Roberts, but "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is a name not to be messed with. Austin talked trash, talking about how he is not here to make friends with anybody in that dressing room, but instead to make enemies. And those enemies, Austin claims he will annihilate, manipulate, interrogate. Austin states that it is only a matter of time before "Stone Cold" is on top of the WWF ladder.
The crowd booed as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin refused to relinquish the Million Dollar Dream on Jason Castro, despite the referee's best efforts. The crowd booed louder and louder as Ted Dibiase then climbed into the ring with the burlap sack in hand; releasing Revelations! The "Million Dollar Man" picked Revelations up before planting him right in the face of Castro! The crowd booed as Austin dropped the hold and Dibiase dropped the snake, Austin and Dibiase leaving with Revelations still in their possession! Roberts had to be reeling over this. | 00:28 | 8 | The WWF Slam of the Week aired, taking us back to Monday Night RAW where Bret "Hitman" Hart made his first appearance on WWF television since losing the World Wrestling Federation Championship at WrestleMania XII. Hart told Vince McMahon that he was frustrated with the company and also injured, telling the fans in attendance and around the world that he needed to go on break, but that he would reclaim his WWF Championship upon returning. Bret thanked his fans, before he was suddenly assaulted by the "Mastodon" Vader, Vader obliterating the "Hitman", and delivering a Vader Bomb right across the badly injured knee of Hart! Vader left Bret to be helped out of the arena by officials, but for what reason? | 00:29 | 9 | James E. Cornette were shown stood on a black backdrop with the "Mastodon" Vader, Vader's back turned to the camera as Cornette talked about how it's a funny thing, how one can be so destructive and how that means he has all of the power. Cornette said that that resembles the "Mastodon". Cornette talked about how Vader destroys everything in his path, and he does as he pleases. For example, what he will do to the "Mighty" Yokozuna on Monday, this week on RAW will be groundbreaking, literally. Cornette talked about how Vader will end Yokozuna once and for all, and there is nothing that anybody can do. Cornette then talked about Bret Hart, and how he's doing right now. Vader turned to the camera and roared, talking about how he helped the "Hitman" put himself out of his own misery, and he did it for a reason - because Vader is on the rise, and because he won't let anything get in his way. Vader talked about how Bret is a mortal coward, whereas Vader is almighty, he is powerful, and that on Monday Night RAW, Vader will continue his powerful quest by destroying the "Mighty" Yokozuna! | 00:30 | - | Commercial Break | 00:34 | 10 | "The Outlaw" James Bradshaw (w/Uncle Zebekiah) def. "The Portuguese Man O'War" Aldo Montoya (w/Bob Holly) in Stage 1 of the Patriotism Challenge [06:28] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Uncle Zebekiah unveilled the Patriotism Challenge last weekend on WWF Superstars, James Bradshaw planning to defeat every non-American superstar in the World Wrestling Federation. Aldo Montoya was at the top of his list, as "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly was in his corner given their recent tag team alignment in recent weeks. Aldo Montoya caught the "Outlaw" off-guard in the opening moments of the bout, using his athleticism and speed to get the better of Bradshaw. Bradshaw soon managed to get into offense against Montoya, as Montoya went for a flying clothesline just for Bradshaw to catch him and body slam him! Bradshaw continued to pound away at Montoya as Uncle Zebekiah kept distracting the referee allowing Bradshaw to pound away at Montoya unfairly, Bob Holly visibly frustrated in the corner, rooting on for the "Portuguese Man O'War". Bradshaw set up for the Western Lariat, but Montoya dodged it and dropkicked the "Outlaw", cradling him for a close fall before Bradshaw came out of the corner with a big Western Lariat, giving Bradshaw his first win in the Patriotism Challenge!
The first stage of the Patriotism Challenge was completed, as the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw's hand was raised in victory, Uncle Zebekiah celebrating alongside his protegé. Meanwhile, "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly got into the ring and dropkicked Bradshaw in the rear, sending him to the outside! The NASCAR driver cornered Uncle Zebekiah, before Bradshaw pulled him out to safety. Holly returned to aiding to Aldo Montoya, his fallen ally. | 00:43 | 11 | We went to Todd Pettingill in the WWF editing room, here for the WWF In Your House report. Pettingill talked about In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, April 28, 1996. Pettingill lined up the card as it stands presently, featuring Jake "the Snake" Roberts challenging Sean Waltman of the Million Dollar Corporation for his WWF Intercontinental Championship, as well as the possession of Revelations, the snake that Waltman stole from him two weeks ago. Plus, the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon and the "Bizarre One" Goldust will face off one more time, as it comes to a Hollywood Backlot Brawl! The fight with no disqualifications, no count-outs, no pinfalls and no submissions, anything can happen on April 28. Pettingill then talked about the two new additions to the show, as announced this past Monday night on RAW; the Godwinns will take on "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas in a rematch from WrestleMania XII, the WWF Tag Team Championships on the line! Pettingill replayed the interview with the Godwinns from RAW, angry at how Jarrett and Douglas escaped the title match at WrestleMania by disqualification, and showing how they are adamant to claim the titles at In Your House; And officially confirmed earlier on WWF Superstars, the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels makes his first defense of the World Wrestling Federation Championship against his rival Owen Hart, one last encounter to settle the score! Pettingill signed off, anticipating more announcements coming next week.
| 00:45 | 12 | WWF Tag Team Champion "Double J" Jeff Jarrett (w/Dean Douglas) def. Dave Starr [03:05] [+00:01 for Jarrett's entrance] It could be that the WWF Tag Team Champions were embarrassed last Monday night on RAW by the Ultimate Warrior, as Warrior overcame the odds and defeated Agent Dean Douglas, and clocked Jeff Jarrett in the process - but this morning it was all about gloating to "Double J", who confidently strutted down to the ring as per, Dean Douglas spectating for Jarrett taking on Dave Starr, apparently with no relation to Mark Starr - according to Dok Hendrix on commentary. Jarrett toyed with Starr and eventually put in the Figure-Four Leglock giving the WWF Tag Team Champion an easy victory. In an insert promo, Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas egotistically declared that their match with the Godwinns will end with Jarrett and Douglas standing tall, as the true defenders of the country. Douglas mocked the Godwinns' hog farming lifestyle, talking about how they do not represent real country music - Jarrett does, because he's so great.
The crowd booed, as "Double J" celebrated his win alongside Agent Dean Douglas, Jarrett and Douglas seemingly prepared for the upcoming match with the Godwinns, the WWF Tag Team Championships on the line. | 00:49 | 12 | An advertisement aired, promoting WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, April 28, 1996. | 00:50 | - | Commercial Break | 00:54 | 13 | A vignette aired, featuring newcomer to the World Wrestling Federation Riley O'Finley, who was shown sitting on the side of the ring with a glass of Scotch, talking about how he is coming to the WWF to make the world see who Riley O'Finley truly is, talking about how he has fought with the best of them, and he has won every time - but now it is time to get in the ring and show everybody what the Irish are made of!
| 00:55 | 14 | Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix anticipated next week's edition of WWF Superstars, which is scheduled to feature Jake "The Snake" Roberts taking on "Sycho" Sid of the Million Dollar Corporation; the "Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega in competition with the "Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama; Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy will test their tandem against the Bodydonnas one more time; plus the British Bulldog, the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon, Duke "the Dumpster" Droese and more! | 00:55 | 15 | "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel def. The Brooklyn Brawler [01:17] [+00:01 for Diesel's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] The seven-foot tall Diesel came out to a mixed reaction tonight, "Big Daddy Cool" seemingly a changed man since he suffered defeat and was humbled by the Ultimate Warrior back at WrestleMania XII, Diesel making the save for long-time best friend Shawn Michaels last Monday night on RAW, after the new World Wrestling Federation Champion was attacked by Owen Hart and the British Bulldog. It was also announced during this match that WWF President Mr Perfect had assigned a rematch with Shawn Michaels and the British Bulldog for Monday Night RAW this coming week, with no interference allowed! Diesel simply annihilated the Brooklyn Brawler, defeating the experienced veteran the Brawler with a big Jackknife Powerbomb.
The fans cheered, as "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel's hand was raised in victory, Diesel being approached in the ring by Todd Pettingill, who wanted to get some comments from Diesel after his heroic appearance on RAW this past Monday. Diesel told Pettingill that he doesn't bat for any team, and he does not appeal to the fans in the World Wrestling Federation. Diesel simply said that despite his attitude in recent months, the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will always be his best friend, and he isn't letting anything get between them! Diesel promised to have Michaels' back because he knows how that punk Owen Hart rolls, before stating that Camp Cornette needs to watch their backs ahead of In Your House. Diesel continued celebrating as WWF Superstars went off the air. | 00:58 |
| NEXT WEEK: JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS DOES BATTLE WITH "SYCHO" SID; THE "SUPREME FIGHTING MACHINE" KAMA COMBATS THE "PUERTO RICAN SUPERMAN" SAVIO VEGA; LEIF CASSIDY & MARTY JANNETTY CHALLENGE SKIP & ZIP OF THE BODYDONNAS; PLUS, THE BRITISH BULLDOG, THE "BAD GUY" RAZOR RAMON, DUKE "THE DUMPSTER" DROESE AND MORE! |

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, April 15, 1996
- The World Wrestling Federation have re-signed Headshrinker Samu, perhaps putting a question mark next to a Headshrinkers reunion. The tag team division is lacking, and sources state that the WWF will be adding more teams to the fold to spice things up. There is also talk of the WWF signing the USWA's Erik Watts and Chad Fortune, as well as independent talent Bill Irwin - who has been wrestling since 1979 and in recent years appeared sporadically on WCW television as an enhancement talent.
- In similar news, the World Wrestling Federation have signed independent talent Too Cold Scorpio, who has been a significant star in World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling in recent years, a former WCW World Tag Team Champion, ECW World Television Champion and ECW World Tag Team Champion - is renowned for his high-flying abilities and fast-paced style in the ring.
- Despite being assaulted by Mankind, the Undertaker is fine and is still making appearances on the WWF European Tour. It is expected that the Undertaker will return to television next month to emphasise Mankind's powerful influence over him. Additionally, Mankind is being protected by only appearing in a similar schedule as the Undertaker to underline his importance.
- It is anticipated that the Ultimate Warrior will be in the WWF Championship scene going into SummerSlam, although it is unclear in what capacity that may be in. As of now, it appears that Shawn Michaels against the Warrior is pencilled in, but with that show being four months away, anything can happen and anything can change.
- Bret Hart was written off of television last Monday night on RAW in order to mix things up going into the summer period for the World Wrestling Federation. Bret has also expressed interest in acting in Hollywood, and has apparently declared interest in auditioning for several television programmes. On a similar note, Bret's contract for the WWF expires on November 1, 1996, and apparently hasn't made a move re-signing with the World Wrestling Federation. It has been known that Bret has been pursued by World Championship Wrestling and met up with officials, but whether Bret will remain in the WWF or leave for more money in WCW is the question.
- On another note regarding Bret Hart, there is legitimate heat between himself and Shawn Michaels, it appears. In his weekly column in the Calgary Sun, Bret commented on Shawn being beaten up in Syracuse, New York last October because of how much of a jerk he is. Bret is also said to still be angry about losing the WWF Championship to Michaels, hence why he did not answer the question nor was it brought up in the interview on RAW.
- With WCW Monday Nitro pre-empted this past week, WWF Monday Night RAW went on the air unopposed, scoring a significant rise with a 3.6 rating. It should be interesting how RAW does next week when Nitro returns.
- A tidbit, Leif Cassidy is the man behind the mask of Avatar, the masked assassin that appeared on WWF television late last year. He previously competed in Extreme Championship Wrestling under the name Al Snow, and is also working in WWF developmental league the United States Wrestling Association as Al Snow.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 4/8/1996. In results from the show: - Shawn Michaels vs The British Bulldog in a non-title match; never began - The Ultimate Warrior def. Dean Douglas. - Sean Waltman def. Razor Ramon in a non-title match.
- WWF In Your House is live on pay-per-view on 4/28/1996. The card is as follows: - Shawn Michaels vs Owen Hart for the WWF Championship. - Diesel vs The British Bulldog (spec.) - Goldust vs Razor Ramon in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl. - Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas vs The Godwinns for the WWF Tag Team Championship. - Sean Waltman vs Jake Roberts for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Sorry I havent't commented in a while, just been away with other stuff in my life. You've got a pretty good In Your House card set up. I'd love to see Owen win the world title but I have a feeling that's not going to happen, just like Roberts isn't going to win the IC title. I'm surprised you had Diesel reunited with Michaels, but then again maybe Diesel is going to turn on Michaels and force a final match to give him a sendoff to WCW. With Razor sticking around I'd imaging he's going to get even with Goldust in the parking lot brawl. You've got some great stuff here, keep it up.

WWF Monday Night RAW - April 15, 1996 The Orange Pavilion - San Bernardino, CA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | The opening video package for WWF Monday Night RAW aired, and the sirens were going off in the Orange Pavilion one more time for another exciting hour of entertainment from the World Wrestling Federation. Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler introduced us to RAW, as McMahon anticipated the next pay-per-view WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes coming up close in under two weeks, before the broadcast trio talked up what was going down on this edition of RAW; as the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson takes on the "Bizarre One" Goldust; the Godwinns take on the Bushwhackers; And to start things off tonight in a rematch from last week, a non-title bout with interference banned under ruling of President Mr Perfect, the WWF Champion Shawn Michaels takes on the British Bulldog! Plus an update on the condition of Bret "Hitman" Hart; an announcement from WWF President Mr Perfect; Yokozuna meeting Vader in a WrestleMania rematch and more! | 00:02 | 2 | WWF Champion "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs The British Bulldog [+00:02 for entrances] A big-time encounter between the "Heartbreak Kid" and the British powerhouse was scheduled for last week's main event of Monday Night RAW, however it was used as an ambush orchestrated by Camp Cornette, assaulting Shawn Michaels until a huge shocker took place, and that was "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel reuniting to assist Shawn Michaels against Owen Hart and the British Bulldog. Shawn Michaels was in fierce competition in this rematch, just shy of two weeks away from In Your House, where Michaels is scheduled to defend the WWF Championship for the very first time in his final encounter with the "King of Harts" Owen Hart. Shawn started things off with some showboating, something that the World Wrestling Federation Champion is renowned for, before getting into it with Bulldog, using some agility to try and chop down the larger opponent. However, the strength and pure power of the Bulldog managed to outdo Michaels' antics, cutting Shawn off with a clothesline coming out of the corner. Bulldog decided to get cocky as well, talking trash to the "Heartbreak Kid", as Vince McMahon noted the strange lack of James E. Cornette at ringside - all because of Mr Perfect's ruling to ban all outside interference from this match "for the viewers' enjoyment". Jerry Lawler argued this, as Bulldog continued to manipulate Shawn with several elbows raining down into the shoulder of Shawn, Bulldog soon applying a variation of the abdominal stretch onto a seated Michaels. The fans cheered for Shawn to make the comeback, but when Michaels finally began to fight it, Bulldog changed things up, drilling Michaels with a pumphandle slam! Bulldog continued to arrogantly showboat between attacks focused on the shoulder of the "Heartbreak Kid", as the fans chanted for Shawn Michaels to make a comeback, to fight the agonizing pain of the much stronger Bulldog. Bulldog connected with the stalling suplex on Michaels and appeared determined to get Michaels with the Running Powerslam, but as he got Michaels up and got him on his shoulder, Michaels managed to fight it and rolled Bulldog up for a near fall - Michaels giving Bulldog the Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere! Unfortunately for Michaels, Bulldog flew out of the ring from the impact! Shawn wanted to pin the Bulldog, as he rolled out of the ring and tried to bring Bulldog back inside, just for Bulldog to shove Michaels harshly into the ring steps! Bulldog had brought the fight to ringside, as we went to a break. Bulldog was back in control returning from the commercial break, Bulldog with the abdominal stretch locked in, applying pressure as though it was nothing. 8,000 fans in San Bernardino anticipated the World Wrestling Federation Champion to make a comeback, and Michaels soon managed to turn Bulldog's abdominal stretch into an arm drag! Michaels continued to fire away at Bulldog before attempting to give Bulldog a hurricanrana - but Bulldog had a firm grip on the WWF Champion - so Michaels repeatedly clubbed Bulldog in the head until he fell down! Michaels started to tune up the band for another Sweet Chin Music, but as Bulldog got up, Bulldog caught Michaels and got him on his shoulder, trying the Running Powerslam, just for Shawn to slip out, and Michaels got Bulldog with Sweet Chin Music, covering him for the three! WWF Champion "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels def. The British Bulldog [15:22 - exceeded one commercial break] ***1/2
Shawn Michaels was slow to get to his feet, as the World Wrestling Federation Champion was victorious in this encounter, the "Heartbreak Kid" clutching his belt and celebrating - when suddenly in the locker room of Camp Cornette, the "King of Harts" Owen Hart was shown watching Michaels' celebration on a monitor, alongside James E. Cornette. Cornette told Owen that they were going to do something about this, as Michaels continued to celebrate.
| 00:19 | 3 | An advertisement aired, promoting WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, April 28, 1996. | 00:20 | - | Commercial Break | 00:23 | 4 | As we returned to WWF Monday Night RAW, the theme of "Double J" Jeff Jarrett was blaring through the Pavilion, the WWF Tag Team Champions making their way down the aisleway to the ringside area, as Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas were apparently joining Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler for commentary during this match! When asked about why they were joining the broadcast team, Jarrett commented stating that he couldn't want to see how embarrassing this would be for the Godwinns and the Bushwackers, laughing in mockery. | 00:24 | 5 | The Godwinns (w/Hillbilly Jim) vs the Bushwhackers ended in a no-contest [01:18] [+00:01 for the Godwinns' entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] The Bushwhackers, the most experienced tag team in the WWF today have graced World Wrestling Federation programming since 1989, and tonight on Monday Night RAW they represented their home country of New Zealand against the Arkansas natives, the Godwinns; who are both scheduled to challenge for the WWF Tag Team Championships in two weeks time against the pair doing guest commentary during this match, Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas. As Henry and Phineas comically shook heads with Luke and Butch, Jarrett and Douglas continued to run down the Godwinns alongside the Bushwhackers, commenting on how these tag teams were making a mockery of the tag team division and that Jarrett and the Agent are doing the best they can to make what they do seem difficult. Jim Ross questioned this, as the Bushwhackers attempted to strut around the Godwinns, just for the hard-knocks style of the country boys to set in, as Phineas and Henry took turns in double-teaming Luke with axe handles and haymakers flying. Jarrett soon decided that the WWF Tag Team Champions had had enough, before leaving commentary and slipping into the ring where Jarrett and Douglas took out Henry and Luke! The crowd booed as the official rang the bell.
"Double J" and the Agent stomped away at Henry O. Godwinn and Bushwhacker Luke - that is until Phineas I. Godwinn and Bushwhacker Butch got into the ring, fending off the WWF Tag Team Champions! Jarrett slipped to the outside, right into a big left hook from Hillbilly Jim! Jarrett was stunned and fell into Dean Douglas' arms, as the Godwinns and the Bushwhackers did Luke and Butch's signature strut around the ring! The Godwinns appeared at the ready for Jarrett and Douglas, come April 28th! | 00:27 | 6 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler talked about what had already occurred on this edition of Monday Night RAW, talking about how the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels had defeated the British Bulldog, before talking about what was still to come as the "Mighty" Yokozuna meets the "Mastodon" Vader in a rematch from WrestleMania XII - as shots of their WrestleMania showdown aired on-screen. But additionally, an update on the condition of Bret "Hitman" Hart - as footage aired from last week where Bret Hart was assaulted by the "Mastodon" Vader in the middle of the ring. McMahon then brought us the interview from WWF Superstars this past weekend, where Vader explained his attack on the former WWF Champion: because the "Mastodon" is on the rise, and that he is unstoppable! Vader wanted to make an example out of the "Hitman", and it worked, calling Bret a coward. But up next, the "Bizarre One" Goldust is prepared to take on the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson! | 00:28 | 7 | A vignette aired, featuring newcomer to the World Wrestling Federation Riley O'Finley, who this week was walking down a street in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland. Riley talked about how he has proven his worth to the WWF through these video packages for several weeks now, but he believes that it is nearly time for him to finally arrive in the United States of America, to finally prove that an Ireland boy like himself can match it up with the best of them in the World Wrestling Federation. Riley talked about how St Patrick's Day may have come and gone, but he's still got a full keg of booze, and when he arrives in the WWF it will be a big party that nobody can miss! Riley grinned as he stopped, the camera pulling out to reveal that the street behind him was actually a painted wall in a pub, and that O'Finley was still drinking. Riley O'Finley arrives next week on WWF Superstars.
| 00:29 | 8 | "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson def. "The Bizarre One" Goldust (w/Marlena) [07:37 - exceeded one commercial break] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Ahmed Johnson was still on the rebound after unfortunately losing his undefeated streak back at WrestleMania XII with thanks from the British Bulldog and James E. Cornette - but tonight he had different beef, in the form of the "Bizarre One" Goldust - who as always was accompanied by the seductress partner of Goldust, Marlena. Goldust appeared to be showing more determination in recent weeks, following his loss to the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon at WrestleMania XI, and the Hollywood Backlot Brawl looming over his mind, the next chapter in the Goldust and Ramon rivalry approaching in two weeks time at In Your House. Goldust made a rookie mistake early on attempting to lock up with Ahmed Johnson, who proceeded to toss Goldust half-way across the ring before pounding away at Goldust in the corner; the intensity of the "Pearl River Powerhouse" shining through on Goldust - who cowardly and unwisely decided to slap Ahmed! This fired Johnson up further, allowing Johnson to further tear into Goldust, almost getting himself disqualified on two separate occasions. Goldust soon managed to gain some momentum as Marlena had Ahmed's eye - Goldust quickly trying to destabilise the strongman! Goldust nailed an inverted atomic drop and executed a big bulldog - but Ahmed continued to kick out! Goldust slapped on a sleeper hold, but the fans were cheering for Ahmed, and he got Goldust on his back and dropped him! The "Pearl River Powerhouse" seemed ready to set up the Pearl River Plunge, but Goldust managed to slip out and slide out of the ring! The fans booed, as Goldust grabbed Marlena's hand and the pair decided to leave early, attempting to get himself counted out! But that's when Razor Ramon appeared in front of the "Bizarre One", grabbing Goldust and shoving him back to the ringside area! Ahmed Johnson was waiting for him at ringside, as Goldust looked horrified! Ahmed picked Goldust up and got him back inside, before planting the Pearl River Plunge on him, putting Ahmed back on track!
The crowd cheered as the "Pearl River Powerhouse" celebrated his win with his arm raised high, Ahmed Johnson having gotten over the loss of his undefeated streak tonight on Monday Night RAW - with a big win against the "Bizarre One" Goldust no less! Razor Ramon watched on with a huge grin on his face from the ringside area, as the "Bad Guy" had gotten revenge on Goldust for costing him his match against Sean Waltman last Monday night as well! The "Bad Guy" seemed ready to finally settle the score with Goldust in two weeks time, in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl! | 00:39 | 9 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler took us back to last Monday night on RAW, where the WWF Champion the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels was scheduled for action against the British Bulldog in the main event, but it was revealed to be an ambush courtesy of the "King of Harts" Owen Hart - Michaels' opponent for In Your House in two weeks - but it was unlikeliest ally that saved Shawn Michaels in the heat of the moment, one "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel. The on-again, off-again friendship between Diesel and Shawn Michaels was fixed once again, and Diesel commented about it last weekend on WWF Superstars, stating that he still didn't care for the fans, but that he did care about his best friend, the World Wrestling Federation Champion! After the footage was shown, we cut to the Pavilion where the theme of Mr Perfect was playing loudly, and the fans rose to their feet awaiting the arrival of the President of the World Wrestling Federation. Mr Perfect came out to the aisleway, as Perfect with a microphone in hand talked about the recent situation on WWF television between the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel and Camp Cornette. Perfect talked about how he said that he had two announcements for tonight's edition of RAW, and both include those parties. The first of which is that there is a change to the WWF Championship match at In Your House - that change being that the match will only end when one man forfeits as a result of submission! Perfect commented, saying that he's hearing about this match being the last encounter between Shawn and Owen, and he wants to make sure that sticks, with one clean ending to it all, on April 28th! Perfect followed up, saying that next week's edition of Monday Night RAW will be huge, because in the main event of next week's episode, we will see the Dudes with Attitude team up to battle Owen Hart and the British Bulldog! The fans cheered, as Vince McMahon could not believe it! Perfect left with his hand raised in the air. | 00:42 | - | Commercial Break | 00:45 | 10 | "The Mastodon" Vader (w/James E. Cornette) def. "The Mighty" Yokozuna (w/Mr Fuji) by stoppage [04:07] [+00:02 for entrances] [+00:02 for aftermath] These two mammoths squared off two weeks ago at WrestleMania XII, in a match where a bout between the 600-pound former WWF Champion and his former manager James E. Cornette could have taken place had Yokozuna defeated Vader - but due to Cornette's managerial antics, that was not to be. Yokozuna wanted to beat the "Mastodon" so badly, spanning back to the Royal Rumble when Vader debuted on WWF television and the two huge men got into it, blow for blow. Cornette and Vader demoralized Yokozuna, they kidnapped and brutalized Mr Fuji, and they attempted to break the "Mighty" Yokozuna's ankle weeks before their WrestleMania encounter. Yokozuna had the fans in the palms of his large hands tonight, not wasting any time in mixing it up with the "Mastodon", both men trading blows with one another, but surprisingly it was the 600-pounder who got the better of Vader! Vader bailed through the ropes to the ringside area, as Yokozuna seemed ready for more from Vader! James E. Cornette talked strategy with this 450-pound brute, as the fans cheered for the man from the Rising Sun. Vader hesitantly got back in the ring, and just when Yokozuna's eye was taken off the ball for a second by Cornette approaching Mr Fuji, Vader ran and dove at Yokozuna! The smaller "Mastodon" pounded away at Yokozuna, raining down with huge bear-like paws to the skull and face of the former WWF Champion! Vader then targeted the damaged ankle of Yokozuna, stomping away at it, and eventually managing to get him off of the vertical base! Vader refused to stop pounding away at the face and ankle of Yokozuna, crushing his ankle with heavy stomps! Jerry Lawler laughed at Yokozuna choosing the wrong decision to not wear boots to the ring, as Vader then went up to the second rope and came off with the Vader Bomb across the ankle, shades of what Vader did to Bret Hart last week! The fans booed loudly as Vader went back up to the second rope again and dropped a second one! Vader relentlessly went back up and dropped a third Vader Bomb, and with Yokozuna screaming in pain, the referee had no choice but to ring the bell!
The crowd booed loudly as the "Mastodon" Vader continued to pound away at Yokozuna, James E. Cornette finally able to stop him. Vader did not seem ready to celebrate his victory, as Yokozuna clutched his ankle in pain, Mr Fuji coming in to try and aid his fallen friend. But that's when the "Mastodon" changed his mind, Vader approaching Fuji again - but luckily it was "Make A Difference" Fatu that stopped Vader on pursuing another casualty in two weeks, Fatu trading blows with Vader and chopping away at him, before connecting with the Samoan Shuffle Kick stunning Vader! Fatu then managed to run off of the ropes and clothesline Vader right over the top rope, Cornette escaping quickly to help him out! Fatu aided to Yokozuna with Fuji, as Vader was fuming, as was Cornette! | 00:53 | 11 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler discussed what had just happened with the "Mastodon" Vader firstly destroying Bret "Hitman" Hart's knee last Monday night on RAW, but this week the "Mastodon" appears to have finished the job he started and eliminated Yokozuna from in-ring competition for the foreseeable future! As a forklift came out to the ringside area to pick up Yokozuna with no stretcher big enough to pick up a 600-pounder, Ross and McMahon commented on the bravery and machismo of "Make A Difference" Fatu making the rescue for Yokozuna - before Lawler chimed in how Fatu would pay dearly for that, and find himself to be the "Mastodon"s next big defeat! McMahon, Ross and Lawler talked about what was coming up next week on Monday Night RAW, as Mr Perfect announced earlier on tonight that we would see the Dudes with Attitude, WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel team up to take on the "King of Harts" Owen Hart and the British Bulldog; plus, the "Bizarre One" Goldust meets the "Native American" Tatanka; Jake "the Snake" Roberts teams up with Savio Vega to take on WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin; plus, Paul Bearer will be here for an interview, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Fatu and more next Monday from 8:57/7:57 ET on the USA Network! | 00:54 | 12 | Vince McMahon then shifted to comments from Bret "Hitman" Hart following the assault from the "Mastodon" Vader last Monday on RAW, as recorded in Calgary, Alberta, Canada this past weekend. Bret was shown sat in a hospital bed, as the "Hitman" talked quietly about how he had just undergone surgery on his knee, and it's all because of the "Mastodon" Vader. Bret talked about how Vader made a magnificent impact last Monday because he shattered his knee, he hurt him real bad - luckily it wasn't when he was World Wrestling Federation Champion. Bret commented on how if he was smart, the "Mastodon" would have tried it when he was WWF Champion, but instead like the big, supposedly invincible grizzly bear he is, the insecure undertones set in, and he decided to take him out on the way out! Bret talked more intensely, talking about how when he came back to the World Wrestling Federation - and he will - he will face the "Mastodon" Vader, and he will expose him for the fraud that he is! Bret told Vader to have a great summer, because this fall he'd be seeing him on the other side of that ring! The "Hitman" looked intense and angry as he sat up in his hospital bed and glared into the camera - Monday Night RAW going off the air. | 00:56 |
| NEXT WEEK: SHAWN MICHAELS AND DIESEL TAG UP AGAINST OWEN HART AND THE BRITISH BULLDOG; WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SEAN WALTMAN AND "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN TAKES ON JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS AND THE "PUERTO RICAN SUPERMAN" SAVIO VEGA IN NON-TITLE ACTION; "THE BIZARRE ONE" GOLDUST FACES THE "NATIVE AMERICAN" TATANKA; PLUS, PAUL BEARER, HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY, FATU AND MORE, SIX DAYS AWAY FROM IN YOUR HOUSE!

WWF Superstars - April 20, 1996 San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego, CA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | The opening video package for WWF Saturday Morning Superstars aired, as we cut to the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California for another edition of Superstars! Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix introduced us to the show, mentioning how WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes was now only eight days away live on pay-per-view. They talked about what was coming up in this hour of Superstars this morning, as Jake "The Snake" Roberts is scheduled to take on "Sycho" Sid of the Million Dollar Corporation; the Bodydonnas to take on the new formed tandem of Leif Cassidy and Marty Jannetty; the British Bulldog, the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon and more! | 00:02 | 2 | "The Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega def. "The Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama [07:20] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Savio Vega this Monday night on RAW will team up with Jake "The Snake" Roberts one more time before Roberts takes on Million Dollar Corporation member Sean Waltman for the WWF Intercontinental Championship and the possession of his snake - but this morning on Superstars, Vega was going up against a former member of the Corporation, the "Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama, in particular. The "Puerto Rican Superman" managed to use his quickness to dodge Kama's attempts at powerful strikes, Vega catching Kama with some kicks to the calves of the "Supreme Fighting Machine", as well as a running neckbreaker. Vega appeared to be on a roll, that is until Kama managed to catch Vega with a gutwrench suplex, and just like that the tide of this match had turned, into the favor of Kama, the former Million Dollar Corporation member. Kama slapped in a nerve hold on Vega and worked away at it to the fans' disapproval - but before long Vega was fighting out of it after nearly submitting to it, and Vega suddenly caught Kama with an enzuigiri! Vega connected with a monkey flip on Kama out of the corner and managed to catch Kama out of nowhere with the Caribbean Kick, giving Vega the win.
The fans cheered, as Savio Vega celebrated his victory alongside the multi-thousand fans in attendance this morning in the San Diego Sports Arena. Vega was ready for tag team action this Monday! | 00:12 | 3 | Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix took us back to last Monday night on RAW, where it was the "Mighty" Yokozuna and the "Mastodon" Vader mixing it up in singles action, a WrestleMania XII rematch from two weeks earlier, and in what could have been a great match was foiled by the monster manipulator Vader! The 450-pounder brutalized Yokozuna with relentless fists into the face and head of the "Mighty" Yokozuna, and multiple stomps to the exposed and damaged ankle of Yokozuna; dropping the Vader Bomb across the ankle of the 600-pounder multiple times and causing him to be taken out of the Orange Pavilion via forklift. Footage was shown from after RAW went off the air, as Ross and Hendrix talked about how that is another injury inflicted by the "Mastodon" Vader, as Yokozuna joins Gorilla Monsoon and Bret "Hitman" Hart on the sidelines! After that, they discussed "Make A Difference" Fatu making the rescue for Yokozuna, bravely trading blows with Vader and sending him flying over the top rope! Hendrix talked about how Vader would get his revenge, but Ross was skeptical, having seen much potential in Fatu after that performance on RAW. | 00:13 | - | Commercial Break | 00:17 | 4 | Duke "The Dumpster" Droese def. Gary Lee [03:55] [+00:01 for Droese's entrance] The residential garbage man in the World Wrestling Federation, Duke "the Dumpster" Droese was making his first appearance on WWF television in several weeks, Droese here for singles action this morning on Superstars. Droese started off by grounding Gary Lee and pounding away at him, Droese using his brawling style as brought up on the streets as a younger man. "The Dumpster" continued to wear down Lee, before eventually putting him away with the Trash Compactor for the victory. Meanwhile, an insert promo aired from the "Bruiser" Riley O'Finley, who talked about how he has invaded the "Dumpster"s match to bring the fans a much more entertaining thing to watch than that literal piece of garbage - the fact that the "Bruiser" Riley O'Finley would be debuting next Saturday morning on Superstars, and he can't wait to get in that ring and turn some heads, because the Irish don't learn how to fight like the Americans - they are born to fight!
Duke "the Dumpster" Droese celebrated his win to cheers, as the garbage man had successfully picked up a win this morning on WWF Superstars. | 00:22 | 5 |
The WWF's Slam of the Week aired, taking us back to this past Monday night on RAW, where the World Wrestling Federation Champion, the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels was in the midst of a fiercely competitive match with Camp Cornette member the British Bulldog, but in the end it was the Running Powerslam reversed by the WWF Champion that caused some Sweet Chin Music to take place, putting Bulldog away. | 00:23 | 6 | The British Bulldog (w/James E. Cornette) def. Greg Davis [02:03] [+00:01 for Bulldog's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] James E. Cornette had a rough night this past week on Monday Night RAW, as whilst one of his Camp Cornette members Vader added another injury to his list of victims in the 600-pound "Mighty" Yokozuna, the "Mastodon" was also outsmarted by the 300-pound Wild Samoan, "Make A Difference" Fatu - who cleared house of Vader and made the save - and additionally, Shawn Michaels managed to beat the British Bulldog, obviously infuriating him ahead of this match. Also to be noted was the big tag team match set up for this Monday on RAW, as Shawn Michaels and "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel get back together for one night to take on the "King of Harts" Owen Hart and the British Bulldog, six days away from the final encounter between Owen Hart and Shawn Michaels. With so much going on, Bulldog was playing the best enforcer possible, being on an egotistical role as of late, calling himself the Strongest Man in the World. Bulldog toyed around with Greg Davis and even slapped in a few times during this match, before easily putting him away with the Running Powerslam. In an insert promo with the Bulldog and James E. Cornette, Bulldog continued to display signs of arrogance, calling himself the most appealing, most attractive, strongest man in the World Wrestling Federation. Bulldog talked about Diesel and how Owen Hart would beat Shawn Michaels at In Your House and bring the WWF Championship into a respectful member of the Hart Family, and to Camp Cornette where it belongs. Bulldog also promised to kill the buzz of the Dudes with Attitude getting the band back together.
The British Bulldog celebrated his win to boos, as the Bulldog posed for the crowd, showing off his muscular physique. James E. Cornette raised his hand in victory, when suddenly the theme of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel hit, and out walked the big seven-foot tall former WWF Champion! Diesel wore his shades as he wore an expressionless face beneath them, his arms folded, though directly looking at Bulldog and Cornette in the ring. | 00:27 | 7 | A vignette aired, featuring newcomer to the World Wrestling Federation Riley O'Finley, who this week was walking down a street in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland.
| 00:28 | 8 | "The Outlaw" James Bradshaw appeared in front of a backdrop brandishing his superstar logo, as he stood by the side of Uncle Zebekiah. Zebekiah talked about how Bradshaw has began his display of patriotism and respect for this country by starting the Patriotism Challenge - it exposes his admiration and ultimate respect for the United States of America and everything within it that was made in it - but there are people out there that don't belong in the great land of opportunity - the USA is damaged by the amount of immigrants that spread to the USA every single day, and that Bradshaw is here to demonstrate that real Americans get rid of the outsiders! Bradshaw took over, talking about how he started the Patriotism Challenge last week with the "Portuguese Man O'War" Aldo Montoya; but his little boyfriend Bob Holly didn't seem to enjoy it so much, which is why he is going to teach "Sparky Plugg" a lesson next week. Bradshaw called NASCAR racing one of the most American sports to watch - but that he personally prefers fighting. Bradshaw said that when he faces Bob Holly next week on Superstars, he will teach him not to stick his nose where it doesn't belong! | 00:29 | - | Commercial Break | 00:34 | 9 | The New Rockers def. The Bodydonnas (w/Sunny) [06:30] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] This new tag team of Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy started several weeks ago with a victory against Skip and Zip of the Bodydonnas, but it was Sunny who demanded this rematch, trying to push her men into the next rank on their way to becoming future WWF Tag Team Champions. As Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy made their way down to the ring, they cut an insert promo talking about how much fun they have had since becoming a tag team, and how they are future WWF Tag Team Champions without a doubt. Jannetty and Cassidy then declared themselves to be "The New Rockers". With that, Cassidy and Jannetty were dressed just like Jannetty and Shawn Michaels would in the late 1980s, just with some slight fashion modifications bringing them up to speed in the 1990s. Skip and Zip worked effectively as a team to try and weaken and wear away at Cassidy, trying to isolate the rookie away from Jannetty - but the response from the crowd in San Diego caused Cassidy to fever up until he fired back with an array of high-flying, agile attacks! Jannetty got the hot tag, and the New Rockers were rolling with the double dropkick, followed by the gorilla press splash by Jannetty on Cassidy, right on top of Zip! The match continued as Cassidy and Zip fell out to ringside, Skip and Jannetty exchanging blows when Sunny got on the apron. Skip attempted to run Jannetty into the ropes for the rolling clutch, but that's when Jannetty reversed it and ran Skip right into Sunny, sending her flying off the apron! Jannetty rolled Sunny up, capturing the three count just like that!
The fans cheered loudly as Marty Jannetty sped out of the ring, the fans cheering as the New Rockers had picked up a second victory against the Bodydonnas! Skip was in absolute shock over the loss, before he suddenly noticed Sunny on the floor holding her foot! Sunny was aided to by the Bodydonnas, Skip and Zip - but you had to imagine that this feud was not over yet! | 00:43 | 10 | We went to Todd Pettingill in the WWF editing room, here for the WWF In Your House report. Pettingill talked about In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, April 28, 1996. Pettingill lined up the card for the pay-per-view thus far, featuring the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels defending his newly won World Wrestling Federation Championship for the first time in his final encounter with the "King of Harts" Owen Hart - the match as announced by WWF President Mr Perfect scheduled to be a submission match - one man must forfeit for the other to become WWF Champion!; Plus, WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman will do battle with Jake "The Snake" Roberts, as Roberts hopes to retrieve his lost snake Revelations from the thieves in the Million Dollar Corporation, who have mistreat Revelations ever since; in the first ever Hollywood Backlot Brawl, the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon will face the "Bizarre One" Goldust one last time in an all out brawl! No disqualifications, no count-outs, no pinfalls and no submissions, just one knockout to end it all!; Plus, a WrestleMania XII rematch will take place as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas will put their WWF Tag Team Championships on the line against the Godwinns, Henry and Phineas!; And officially announced here on WWF Superstars, the challenge to the Ultimate Warrior made by Hunter Hearst Helmsley has been accepted! The "Blue Blood" must now see how the Warrior reacts - it should be interesting when these two big studs get it on in the 20x20 ring! Pettingill then talked about a pre-recorded message sent to him by Jake Roberts, directed at the Million Dollar Corporation. Roberts stood in front of his superstar logo, as he talked about how he is snakeless, how he has been without championship gold, about how he is protecting himself from the demons in his life by being born again - and the Lord raised his newborn soul right, because Roberts learned about respect and dignity this time - neither of which Sean Waltman has. Roberts vowed to retrieve his snake to honor thy family - because Revelations is family. And when he does that, he is going to take the WWF Intercontinental Championship too, sudden with a quick DDT, exploding Waltman's head on the canvas! And when he's not expecting it, he's going to get Ted Dibiase in the ring and let Revelations bite him apart! Roberts was fully prepared for In Your House! Pettingill promoted In Your House further before signing off.
| 00:45 | 11 | "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon def. El Diablo [02:15] [+00:01 for Ramon's entrance] "The Bad Guy" in recent weeks has proven himself to be a very confident man ahead of the Hollywood Backlot Brawl next weekend at In Your House, perhaps because he regained his machismo by defeating the "Bizarre One" Goldust at WrestleMania XII, or because he was that adamant that he was going to destroy Goldust and end things once and for all in the Backlot Brawl. Razor made short work of El Diablo, a comical masked man wearing the Spanish colors in form of a body suit, who tried to pose in a karate stance at several points. Razor tossed the lighter Diablo around the ring with the fallaway slam and a spinning side slam, before nailing Diablo with the bulldog and connecting with the Razor's Edge for the victory. Meanwhile, Goldust and Marlena appeared in an insert promo, Goldust talking about how Razor can try to fight it, but he can't beat gold. Goldust talked about how Razor for months has been struggling with overcoming this manhood in which the "Bizarre One" possesses, and that on April 28, 1996 we will see a new sun rise, and it will be all in gold, because Goldust had had enough of Ramon, and he was going to settle the score and humiliate Razor Ramon once and for all!
The fans cheered as the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon celebrated his win, Razor taunting for the fans in San Diego, whilst Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix discussed the entire rivalry between Ramon and Goldust, and how it all comes to an end next Sunday! | 00:48 | 12 | An advertisement aired, promoting WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, April 28, 1996. | 00:49 | 13 | An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Superstar Line. | 00:50 | 14 | We returned to WWF Superstars as Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix talked about next weekend's edition of WWF Superstars, as the WWF Champion Shawn Michaels will be in action when the "Heartbreak Kid" takes on Jerry "The King" Lawler in non-title action; the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw takes on "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly; WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman takes on Duke "The Dumpster" Droese in non-title action; plus, "Make A Difference" Fatu, the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and the anticipated debut of Riley O'Finley!
| 00:51 | 15 | Jake "The Snake" Roberts def. "Sycho" Sid (w/Ted Dibiase & Revelations) [06:23] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] "The Snake" had some intense comments for Sean Waltman and the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase earlier this morning on WWF Superstars, as Jake Roberts was a man walking currently without a purpose, he just had desires, to retrieve his snake from the possession of the Million Dollar Corporation, and to beat Sean Waltman at In Your House next weekend and win the WWF Intercontinental Championship - his first title win in the World Wrestling Federation. The born-again Christian had some harsh competition to face first off though, as "Sycho" Sid was here to take out Roberts before the big match on April 28. "Sycho" Sid hasn't been seen since WrestleMania XII, and he was ready to get back into competition to weaken Jake, and that's exactly what he did in the early minutes of this match, a bear hug wearing down the veteran as the fans cheered for Jake to make the comeback. Jake slowly fired back with lefts and rights, as Sean Waltman was shown suddenly sneaking down the aisleway. Jake caught Sid with a clothesline from the second rope, but that's when the WWF Intercontinental Champion tried to get into the ring just to get sent launched into Ted Dibiase on the ring apron distracting the referee! "Sycho" Sid groggily stumbled into Roberts, who planted him with the DDT out of nowhere! Roberts got the victory.
As Sean Waltman attended to the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase at ringside, Jake "The Snake" Roberts celebrated his victory over "Sycho" Sid, Roberts soon trying to retrieve his snake Revelations from the ring steps in the corner, just for the WWF Intercontinental Champion to quickly snatch it from his grasp! Waltman skidded off up the aisleway with Revelations in the duffle bag, and Dibiase quickly followed! Roberts continued to celebrate as WWF Superstars went off the air. | 01:00 |
| NEXT WEEK: THE "HEARTBREAK KID" SHAWN MICHAELS FIGHTS JERRY "THE KING" LAWLER; THE "OUTLAW" JAMES BRADSHAW BATTLES "SPARKY PLUGG" BOB HOLLY; THE WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SEAN WALTMAN TAKES ON DUKE "THE DUMPSTER" DROESE; PLUS, "MAKE A DIFFERENCE" FATU, THE "BLUE BLOOD" HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY, AND THE AWAITED DEBUT OF RILEY O'FINLEY! |

I haven't commented on this in a long time, but it's nice to see that Shawn Michaels as WWF Champion, now him and Diesel teaming up, I don't know about that or either if Diesel is trying to make up for lost time with Shawn, Taker/Mankind feud even a Razor/Goldust feud is still going, with every feud you have, this has totally got to be the best diary you've ever made not to mention you have Vader as a dominant beast, defeats Yokozuna at WrestleMania 12 and injures Bret "The Hitman" Hart, You got the greatest diary ever, I like it man.
I know you've never commented on my diary, so why don't you make yourself welcome and do so. WWF 1994 Diary.

Like I've already mentioned its good to see you post often again...
Enjoying this more now Mania has come and gone. Not that it was bad before far from it but I found it hard to believe you didn't go with Bret/Shawn at Mania.
Random thought which popped in my head I will be interested to see where you take Austin's character because it was around this time his rise started.
Back to the shows...
I thought Finley was coming in as a face but after his superstars promo seems not.
Goldust/Razor feels like a Main Event wouldn't have had Goldust losing to Ahmed your doing a good job of pushing both Razor and Goldust to the next level but this loss hurt Goldust.
With Diesel leaving get the impression him helping Shawn is a set up to Diesel turning on HBK so HBK can beat Diesel on the way out. Shawn/Owen has been enjoyable as a first feud for HBK not sure the submission stip is needed. Last Man Standing may have been more suited after Owen knocked HBK out previous.
Highlight of the previous 2 weeks has been the Bret/Vader rivalry. Capped off by a great Bret promo on Raw leading to Bret's return later in the year. This is money...
