Like I've already mentioned its good to see you post often again...
Enjoying this more now Mania has come and gone. Not that it was bad before far from it but I found it hard to believe you didn't go with Bret/Shawn at Mania.
Random thought which popped in my head I will be interested to see where you take Austin's character because it was around this time his rise started.
Back to the shows...
I thought Finley was coming in as a face but after his superstars promo seems not.
Goldust/Razor feels like a Main Event wouldn't have had Goldust losing to Ahmed your doing a good job of pushing both Razor and Goldust to the next level but this loss hurt Goldust.
With Diesel leaving get the impression him helping Shawn is a set up to Diesel turning on HBK so HBK can beat Diesel on the way out. Shawn/Owen has been enjoyable as a first feud for HBK not sure the submission stip is needed. Last Man Standing may have been more suited after Owen knocked HBK out previous.
Highlight of the previous 2 weeks has been the Bret/Vader rivalry. Capped off by a great Bret promo on Raw leading to Bret's return later in the year. This is money...

Still not sure about Riley O'Finley coming in like this, as you seem to have the same character in James Bradshaw going. Unless Finley is a face, it seems a bit redundant.
I do love how you've built up Vader in this diary, though. He was horribly underused in real life. The only difference I might make is to have not turned Diesel heel (maybe have him save Michaels from Owen and Vader before Wrestlemania) and then feed the departing Diesel to Vader at Wrestlemania. The match with Yokozuna certainly made sense, but a big time victory over a former champion of Diesel's caliber (higher value than Yoko, at this point) would have helped establish Vader even further.

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, April 22, 1996
- The World Wrestling Federation re-signed Erik Watts and Chad Fortune from the USWA last weekend and are expected to finish their dates with the USWA before starting full time with the WWF in June. Erik Watts is best known for his run several years ago in World Championship Wrestling, where he feuded with Arn Anderson. His run was controversial because of his father, Bill Watts - who was running WCW at the time and repeatedly attempted to push his son to no prevail. Chad Fortune on the other hand is a former footballer who played for the Chicago Bears, the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins. He made his professional wrestling debut merely two years ago. Previously Fortune and Watts competed in a tag team named "Tekno Team 2000" for the WWF for a short tenure last year, but were not memorable.
- The recent signees made by the WWF are apparent attempts to re-energize their product, attempting to continue their string of successful signees earlier in the year (Vader, Mankind, Steve Austin). Similarly, the World Wrestling Federation are attempting to keep their product fresh against the competition, World Championship Wrestling - who recently signed Mexican stars Rey Misterio Jr, Psicosis and Juventud Guerrera, who are all very renowned for their previous appearances in Extreme Championship Wrestling and their legacies in Mexico. WCW have also recently signed one of the WWF's most powerful assets in recent memory, Diesel and have been rumoured to have extended contract offers to various WWF talent, including the currently inactive Bret Hart.
- Last Tuesday at the WWF live event in Hamburg, Germany, Sid was injured in a tag team match with Sean Waltman opposing Jake Roberts and Tatanka. It was then revealed that Sid needed neck surgery and will miss three to six months of in-ring competition. Although Sid was used in a midcard capacity as the enforcer of Ted Dibiase's Million Dollar Corporation in recent months, he is an expendable talent that the WWF could book effectively in high tier competition, so this could be a big loss for them. Alternatively, this could create large fanfare for Sid upon his return.
- Vader is reportedly being groomed for a reign as WWF Champion in the near future. Given the booking on RAW in recent weeks, dating back to his debut to some extent, he is being depicted as a potential threat to Shawn Michaels' WWF Championship, with sidelining Yokozuna and Bret Hart. Last week on the Cheat Sheet it was rumoured that Shawn Michaels would be meeting the Ultimate Warrior at SummerSlam, but we may end up seeing Warrior challenge Vader instead. Of course, this may not be the case as apparently Vince McMahon's mind changes by the day with recent added pressure from World Championship Wrestling.
- Yokozuna was officially taken off of television last Monday on RAW. It has been planned for some time to remove Yokozuna from television so that he could lose some weight and additionally recover from the wear and tear of in-ring competition. Yokozuna hasn't competed on the live event circuit since February. He is currently around 600lbs, and could be a danger to opponents or himself if he continues to gain weight. He debuted with the World Wrestling Federation in October 1992 weighing in at 480lbs, gaining 120lbs in under three years.
- Tatanka is in the dog house after appearing at many of the live events on the WWF's European Tour extremely late and reportedly showing a "lack of compassion" as opposed to that he showed before. With that, he has been losing in every show he has appeared on. It is uncertain what may lie in the future of Tatanka with the World Wrestling Federation if this continues.
- WWF Monday Night RAW last week drew an unopposed 3.6 due to WCW Monday Nitro being pre-empted, but Nitro this week struck back in the ratings battle, scoring a 3.7 to RAW's 3.4. WCW's dominance continues to apply pressure on the WWF.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 4/15/1996. In results from the show: - Vader def. Yokozuna by stoppage. - Ahmed Johnson def. Goldust. - The Godwinns vs The Bushwhackers went to a no-contest. - Shawn Michaels def. The British Bulldog in a non-title match.
- WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes is live on pay-per-view on 4/28/1996. The card is as follows: - Shawn Michaels vs Owen Hart for the WWF Championship in a Submission match. - Diesel vs The British Bulldog (spec.) - Goldust vs Razor Ramon in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl. - The Ultimate Warrior vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley. - Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas vs The Godwinns for the WWF Tag Team Championship. - Sean Waltman vs Jake Roberts for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

WWF Monday Night RAW - April 22, 1996 The Orange Pavilion - San Bernardino, CA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | A brief video package aired to kick off Monday Night RAW, previewing tonight's big tag team main event between Shawn Michaels and Diesel reforming the Clique against the team of Owen Hart and the British Bulldog; it's the Dudes with Attitude reunited against Camp Cornette, six days away from In Your House! The opening video package aired, before cutting to the Orange Pavilion in San Bernardino, California, as Vince McMahon alongside Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcomed us to the show, talking about the big main event lined up for later tonight: but also, we are scheduled to get an update on the condition of Yokozuna after he was taken away on a forklift thanks to Vader last Monday on RAW; not only that, but not just that, as Sean Waltman and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin are scheduled for tag team action with Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Savio Vega; but kicking things off... | 00:03 | 2 | "Stone Cold" Steve Austin & WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman (w/Ted Dibiase & Revelations) def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts & "The Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega [12:22 - exceeded one commercial break] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Slightly a re-enactment of their WrestleMania XII encounter, the Million Dollar Corporation were in tag team action tonight against Jake Roberts and Savio Vega; the "Million Dollar Man" carrying Revelations out in his burlap sack, seemingly trying to get under the skin of Jake Roberts, the "Snake" scheduled to challenge Sean Waltman for the WWF Intercontinental Championship this Sunday - and it all started to get personal when Sean Waltman and Dibiase stole Revelations the Anaconda away from Jake three weeks ago on RAW. "Stone Cold" started off with the "Puerto Rican Superman", as Austin worked over Vega methodically, pounding away at him - and the teamwork of the Million Dollar Corporation began as Austin and Waltman proceeded to work away at the shoulder of Vega and keep him isolated away from Jake Roberts - but one botched miscommunication between Austin and Waltman led to Vega nailing Austin with the Caribbean Kick and making the tag to Roberts! Roberts came in at that moment and fired away at Austin and Waltman with an array of strikes, before taking Austin down with the DDT! The fans erupted, as Roberts then tried to give Waltman one, but Ted Dibiase suddenly got on the apron - leading to the 1-2-3 Kick from the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Waltman getting a pinfall win over Roberts!
The fans booed loudly as Sean Waltman taunted over the fallen body of Jake "The Snake" Roberts, the fans disapproving at all of this! "Stone Cold" Steve Austin then got into the ring to join Waltman in the celebration, stomping away at the body of his adversary before Ted Dibiase slid into the ring, taking Revelations out of the burlap sack! The crowd booed loudly as Waltman chopped his crotch over Roberts before draping Revelations all over him! The fans hated it, but that's when Savio Vega suddenly slid into the ring, the "Puerto Rican Superman" here to rescue the veteran, but the Million Dollar Corporation managed to get away, Revelations still in their possession! The crowd booed as Jim Ross noted that Waltman and Dibiase would have hell to pay for this one!
| 00:18 | 3 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler were shown on commentary, as they continued to promote WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes this Sunday night. McMahon then changed the subject to the condition of the "Mighty" Yokozuna, who during his match with the "Mastodon" Vader last Monday on RAW, suffered quite a lot of damage to his ankle, a recipient of multiple Vader Bomb across the leg and foot of the 600-pounder. As footage replayed of Vader assaulting Yokozuna and of Yokozuna being taken away on a forklift, McMahon talked about how Yokozuna's ankle was shattered last Monday night and he will be forced to step away from the ring to recover from the injury. McMahon then talked about how "Make A Difference" Fatu made the rescue for Yokozuna however, and that we would hear some comments and see Fatu in action next on RAW! | 00:19 | - | Commercial Break | 00:22 | 4 | We returned to Monday Night RAW as Vince McMahon was stood in the middle of the ring, introducing "Make A Difference" Fatu! The fans cheered as Fatu made his way down the aisleway to the ring, Fatu receiving quite an ovation for his bravery in combating the unstoppable "Mastodon" Vader in previous weeks. McMahon welcomed Fatu to the ring, mentioning how we have seen a lot more of him in recent weeks, primarily involved with Vader, but why? Fatu talked about how he has known Yokozuna a long time, before dropping a big bombshell: that even though the "Mighty" Yokozuna specialized in sumo-wrestling over in Japan, he is originally from the Isle of Samoa, and they are related cousins! Fatu talked about how he only found out about this recently, and as soon as he found out, he knew that he had to make a difference! Fatu talked about how he has always tried to fight for justice, to fight for what is right, and what Vader has been doing to Yokozuna in recent months, it involves him too, because that's what being a part of the brotherhood is all about! Fatu said that he wanted to issue a challenge to the 450-pound "Mastodon" - next Monday night on RAW, because even though nobody has been able to take down the "Mastodon", Fatu wants to, for Yokozuna! The fans cheered, as McMahon wished Fatu the best of luck in this endeavour. Fatu vowed to put a dent in the armor of the unstoppable Vader! | 00:25 | 5 | An advertisement aired, promoting WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view this Sunday night. | 00:26 | 6 | "The Bizarre One" Goldust (w/Marlena) def. "The Native American" Tatanka [07:34] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Marlena seemed anxious tonight, as she watched on as her man "The Bizarre One" Goldust took on the "Native American" Tatanka, just six days away from the Hollywood Backlot Brawl scheduled with Razor Ramon, who has been his rival for several months. That said, Goldust seemed to look a lot more methodical and focused tonight, as he wanted to gain a measure of momentum going into the big match this Sunday at In Your House, but Tatanka was also in quite an aggressive mood, wanting to regain some momentum of his own, after taking a backseat following WrestleMania XII. Tatanka was in the driver's seat and actually took Goldust to the limit tonight, but the mind games of the "Bizarre One" set in, and it showed as when Tatanka was preparing a superplex, Goldust kissed the "Native American" causing him to fall from the top rope. Goldust proceeded to work over Tatanka, trying to dissect him before he started to make a comeback, attempting to go for the Native American Drop - just for Goldust to slip out and nail Tatanka with the Curtain Call, a win for Goldust ahead of Sunday!
The crowd in San Bernardino booed loudly, as the "Bizarre One" slowly got off of his hands and knees and paraded around the ring, rubbing his chest provocatively. Marlena then joined her man in the ring, as Goldust was handed a microphone under a golden spotlight, surrounded by darkness. Goldust talked about how he seeked Razor Ramon, he admired Razor Ramon, and this Sunday he hopes to find out what the "Bad Guy" is really all about. In his deep, sensual voice, Goldust talked about exposing Ramon this Sunday when they meet in the backlot brawl! The crowd booed as Goldust left, Vince McMahon talking about how it will be a first for the World Wrestling Federation, witnessing the Hollywood Backlot Brawl! | 00:36 | 7 | We suddenly cut to static, followed up by a vignette of Paul Bearer stood in a graveyard, the illustrious manager of the Undertaker appearing for the first time since his Undertaker was assaulted on Monday Night RAW three weeks ago, courtesy of Mankind. Paul talked about how he comes here almost al of the time, just to think about the fallen bodies, the fallen bodies of those that have tried to fight the Undertaker over the years - and how they have all fallen to the "Deadman". Paul talked about how Undertaker was destroyed by Mankind - or that's how the deranged one likes to think, but what Mick seems to forget about the Undertaker, is that he falls down to nobody, and that when he comes back, he comes back bigger and better than ever! Paul continued to look into an empty grave, as Paul said that when the Undertaker returns next Monday on RAW, it won't be good news for Mankind, cackling to the heavens as thunder was heard. The Undertaker returns to RAW next week! | 00:38 | - | Commercial Break | 00:41 | 8 | We returned to Monday Night RAW, as Vince McMahon talked about what was still coming up, with the big tag team match in place with Shawn Michaels and Diesel against Owen Hart and the British Bulldog, but that's when suddenly the theme of the President of the World Wrestling Federation hit. Out came Mr Perfect, the President with a microphone in hand, as Perfect apparently had some comments for the fans in San Bernardino. Perfect thanked the fans for their support and respect, saying that he would make this quick, but he has a big announcement regarding In Your House: Bad Attitudes, because it has been decided that this Sunday on pay-per-view, he has just signed the papers for a special bonus match for In Your House, as we will see "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel take on the British Bulldog! Perfect talked about how he has decided to make this match official, because the submissions-only match between the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and "King of Harts" Owen Hart for the WWF Championship WILL see outside interference - and being that there must be one decisive winner, and that this rivalry must come to an end, we will see just that, this Sunday! The fans cheered, as Perfect then left, Jerry Lawler complaining about this decision, whereas Jim Ross touted that this was big news, six days away from the big event! | 00:43 | 9 | We went to Todd Pettingill in the WWF editing room, here for the WWF In Your House report. Pettingill talked about In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view this Sunday night. Pettingill lined up the card for the pay-per-view thus far, featuring the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels defending his newly won World Wrestling Federation Championship for the first time in his final encounter with the "King of Harts" Owen Hart - the match as announced by WWF President Mr Perfect scheduled to be a submission match - one man must forfeit for the other to become WWF Champion!; Plus, WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman will do battle with Jake "The Snake" Roberts, as Roberts hopes to retrieve his lost snake Revelations from the thieves in the Million Dollar Corporation, who have mistreat Revelations ever since; in the first ever Hollywood Backlot Brawl, the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon will face the "Bizarre One" Goldust one last time in an all out brawl! No disqualifications, no count-outs, no pinfalls and no submissions, just one knockout to end it all!; Plus, a WrestleMania XII rematch will take place as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas will put their WWF Tag Team Championships on the line against the Godwinns, Henry and Phineas!; And in a brave decision made by Hunter Hearst Helmsley, the "Blue Blood" challenged the Ultimate Warrior to a match at In Your House, but with this being the Warrior's third match back in action, can he get the job done? Todd then mentioned the addition just made moments ago by Mr Perfect, for "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel to square off with the British Bulldog in a match intended to keep the outside interference in the WWF Championship match away - but will it work, as old enemies meet one more time in this battle of egos! Pettingill then closed with pre-recorded comments from the Greenwich native Hunter Hearst Helmsley, as Helmsley was shown at his high-class mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut sitting down with a cup of tea. Hunter talked about how he has always laughed at the Warrior - his barbarian bravado he finds hilarious and hard to take seriously. Hunter continued, talking about how he's glad that he's back in the World Wrestling Federation because now for the first time ever we will see if Warrior can really put up a fight against the "Blue Blood". Hunter talked about how he has put opponents down left, right and centre - and this Sunday at In Your House, we will see the downfall of the Warrior courtesy of HHH! Pettingill then promoted In Your House one more time, before signing off.
| 00:46 | 10 | WWF Champion "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels & "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel def. "The King of Harts" Owen Hart & The British Bulldog (w/James E. Cornette) by disqualification [12:05 - exceeded one commercial break] [+00:02 for aftermath] It was put up or shut up for Camp Cornette, with just six days away from In Your House: Bad Attitudes, and with so much on the line for Camp Cornette, as it was Owen Hart's final opportunity to put the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels out of action, and claim the World Wrestling Federation Championship - but also for the British Bulldog, to test his own abilities and take out the former WWF Champion, and his former rival "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel - the man he had a scorching feud with last Fall. Shawn Michaels and Diesel were reunited tonight, the former WWF Tag Team Champions working away at Owen Hart in the opening moments, but luckily with the Bulldog by his side, the power and smarts of Bulldog and Owen combined to start working away at "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel! The "King of Harts" caught Diesel with multiple dropkicks to his legs, the seven-footer down as Owen proceeded to work away at the long legs of "Big Daddy Cool", as the fans were rallied by the World Wrestling Federation Champion. Diesel then finally began to fight back, as Diesel caught Bulldog with a big sidewalk slam, catching the Brit off-guard! Diesel slowly crawled over, and just like that Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart were the legal men, exchanging in a lot of mat-wrestling, Michaels being the victor and clearing Owen from the ring! Michaels followed up on this, as James E. Cornette tried to gather the troops at ringside, when Michaels came over the top rope from the ring to the floor with a huge plancha onto all three members of Camp Cornette! Michaels continued to brawl with Owen at ringside, before Owen grabbed Cornette's tennis racket, and he clocked Michaels right in the knee with it! The crowd booed as the official had to call for the bell!
The fans booed in disapproval, as Owen Hart relentlessly nailed Shawn Michaels in the leg with the tennis racket, when suddenly "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel appeared with the steel chair in hand! Diesel did this two weeks ago, and tonight he was back to do it again! The three Camp Cornette members retreated, as James E. Cornette told the Dudes with Attitude that they were both going down this Sunday, as Diesel aided to the fallen WWF Champion! Owen Hart had gotten the better of Shawn Michaels tonight, but what will happen this Sunday in the Final Encounter!? Monday Night RAW went off the air. | 01:00 |

WWF Superstars - April 27, 1996 San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego, CA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | The opening video package for WWF Saturday Morning Superstars aired, as we cut to the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California for the final edition of Saturday Morning Superstars before In Your House: Bad Attitudes! Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix welcomed us to the show, as they talked about how important tomorrow night would be, urging the viewers to order the pay-per-view event tomorrow night. The duo then talked about what was coming up this morning, as WWF Champion Shawn Michaels makes a special appearance to do battle with Jerry "The King" Lawler; plus the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw is ready to take on "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly; plus, the long awaited debut of Riley O'Finley! | 00:02 | 2 | WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman (w/Ted Dibiase & Revelations) def. Duke "The Dumpster" Droese [06:34] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:02 for aftermath] The WWF Intercontinental Champion has been getting under the skin of everybody in the locker room as of late, all spawning from his alignment with the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase late last year. Sean Waltman, with over twenty four hours to prepare for battle with Jake "The Snake" Roberts was here to compete this morning with a man he knows quite well, Duke "The Dumpster" Droese. Droese previously came close to knocking off a big victory against Waltman on Superstars, but the rematch was here in non-title action. Droese started off using his hard-hitting arsenal of moves, attempting to weaken Waltman quite quickly with a sidewalk slam and numerous stiff clotheslines, but Waltman slyly regained momentum with assistance from Ted Dibiase in his corner. Waltman then continued to taunt Duke and try to choke the garbage man out across the bottom rope and keep the "Dumpster" at his mercy. Waltman crotch-chopped repeatedly, but that arrogance almost knocked him off his game, as Droese made a comeback and attempted to put Waltman away with the Trash Compactor, but Waltman managed to slip out of it and catch him with the 1-2-3 Kick, giving the champ the 1-2-3. During the match Sean Waltman cut an insert promo, talking about how he has always been known as a kid, a rookie, an upset victory after upset victory. Sean asked us who we were laughing at now, talking about how he's the WWF Intercontinental Champion, how he's got the skills to back up his arrogance, and that after tomorrow night when he beats Jake Roberts, he would prove that the 1-2-3 Kid has turned into a MAN.
The crowd booed as Sean Waltman celebrated his victory, the WWF Intercontinental Champion crotch chopping over the fallen carcass of Duke Droese - when Ted Dibiase climbed into the ring and opened the burlap sack, revealing Revelations! Waltman was about to place Revelations over Droese much like he did Jake Roberts last Monday night on RAW, when suddenly Jake "The Snake" darted out to the ring, trading blows with his opponent for In Your House tomorrow night! Roberts was here to regain possession of his snake, but that's when Dibiase got in Roberts' way of a right hand, when Waltman nailed Roberts with the 1-2-3 Kick! Waltman and Dibiase then picked Revelations up, the Million Dollar Corporation once again stealing Revelations from his rightful owner! Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix exclaimed that this would spell bad news for sure at In Your House tomorrow night. | 00:13 | 3 | Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix talked about the situation between Jake Roberts and Sean Waltman, which will climax tomorrow night at In Your House: Bad Attitudes, with Roberts attempting to claim the WWF Intercontinental Championship and reclaim his stolen Anaconda, Revelations from the Million Dollar Corporation. They then proceeded to talk about the condition of Yokozuna as a result of what took place two weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, where Vader broke the ankle of the "Mighty" Yokozuna, and because of it Yokozuna will be out of action for quite some time. They then moved on to discuss what was coming up next, as the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley will be here in action over one day away before the biggest night of his career, when he faces the Ultimate Warrior! | 00:14 | - | Commercial Break | 00:18 | 4 | "The Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Elizabeth Hilden) def. Mark Cassell [01:55] [+00:01 for Helmsley's entrance] Hunter Hearst Helmsley has certainly thrown himself in the deep end with challenging the legacy of the Ultimate Warrior to a match tomorrow night at In Your House, and expressed his thoughts on the Warrior last Monday night on RAW, but this morning he got a warm-up against Mark Cassell, and he simply dominated him, forcing him around the ring just like that, as his valet Elizabeth Hilden seemed to like what she saw. The Greenwich "Blue Blood" pounded away at Cassell before quickly putting him away with the Pedigree. Helmsley cut an insert promo during the match, talking about how the talking is about to be over, because he's ready to lock horns with the Warrior, and he's ready to humiliate him. Helmsley talked about how he was ready to dispose of the former WWF Champion's legacy, and remold him into his own, and make him the perfect gentleman - but also ready to prove to the world that the "Blue Blood" is a man of courage, and a future star with a similar legacy to the Warrior.
The fans in San Diego disapproved of the "Blue Blood", as Hunter Hearst Helmsley curtseyed for the fans in attendance, before welcoming his valet Elizabeth Hilden into the ring for a celebration lap. Jim Ross questioned if this was arrogance or pure guts on the part of Hunter Hearst Helmsley, concluding that only time could tell to see if he could defeat the Ultimate Warrior. | 00:21 | 5 |
An advertisement aired, promoting WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes, live on pay-per-view tomorrow night. | 00:22 | 6 | "Make A Difference" Fatu def. David Starr [02:03] [+00:01 for Fatu's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] Fatu has shown previously that he wants to make a big splash in the World Wrestling Federation, and he has started to do just that in recent weeks, getting in the head of the bully, the "Mastodon" Vader - the same man that three weeks ago on Monday Night RAW destroyed Bret "Hitman" Hart and destroyed his knee, and two weeks ago on RAW crushed the ankle of Fatu's revealed cousin, the "Mighty" Yokozuna. But here was where Fatu was changing the way Vader thinks, reverse psychology setting in as Fatu shows no fear of the "Mastodon", he genuinely wants to make a difference. The Samoan ran through David Starr with ease, quickly putting him down with the Samoan Splash from the top rope. During Fatu's match, James E. Cornette cut an insert promo on Fatu, talking about how Fatu wants to make a difference, and on behalf of Vader, the "Mastodon" accepts Fatu's challenge to face him this upcoming Monday on RAW - but that the only difference would be that Fatu would be leaving with a broken ankle - much like his cousin Yokozuna!
The fans cheered for "Make A Difference" Fatu, as he celebrated in the ring after a successful victory this morning on Superstars. Dok Hendrix then climbed into the ring to catch a few comments from the Samoan, as Fatu talked about family, and how Yokozuna is family still and is going to kick this ankle injury in the butt - but what Vader has done is unchanged, and for that, Fatu is ready to prove to the "Mastodon" that he has no fear for him, and that he will dismantle the machine! | 00:26 | - | Commercial Break | 00:30 | 7 | We returned to WWF Saturday Morning Superstars with this week's Slam of the Week, as last Monday on RAW we saw Owen Hart get himself disqualified in a big-time main event between Camp Cornette and the reunited Dudes with Attitude by attacking the knee of his opponent for tomorrow night, Shawn Michaels. "The King of Harts" battered the "Heartbreak Kid" with a tennis racket in an attempt to get one over on Shawn Michaels before their final encounter submission match tomorrow night at In Your House! The question remained, is Michaels ready to compete today, let alone tomorrow? | 00:31 | 8 | We cut to see Jerry "The King" Lawler stood in front of a backdrop brandishing his image, as Jerry talked about how he has recently taken a backseat to commentate for WWF programs such as Monday Night RAW, Saturday Morning Superstars, and pay-per-views. Lawler talked about how he has had front row experience to the styles of Shawn Michaels, how the "Heartbreak Kid" thinks, everything about Shawn Michaels, he knows. Lawler talked about how he watched as Shawn won the WWF Championship, how he achieved the boyhood dream - but he also witnessed how Owen Hart destroyed Michaels on four different occasions! Lawler talked about how tomorrow night, Shawn's boyhood dream would come to an end, and Owen Hart's destiny will be fulfilled, but this morning on Superstars? Lawler will weaken Michaels, outwrestle Michaels, and leave his confidence damaged much like Owen will destroy his confidence tomorrow at In Your House! | 00:32 | 9 | "The Outlaw" James Bradshaw (w/Uncle Zebekiah) def. "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly (w/Aldo Montoya) [04:38] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Several weeks ago on WWF Superstars, James Bradshaw and Uncle Zebekiah unveiled their plans to defeat every non-American superstar in the World Wrestling Federation, and their first target was Aldo Montoya - one who "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly has gotten to know in recent weeks, having gained some success as a tag team. So when the "Outlaw" assaulted the "Portuguese Man O'War" several weeks ago, Bob Holly was plotting revenge. This morning on Superstars Holly was planning to do just that, and with Aldo in his corner to oppose the pesky Uncle Zebekiah in Bradshaw's corner, as the NASCAR driver pounded away at Bradshaw strongly in the opening moments, before James Bradshaw began to fight back, Bradshaw using sly tactics to take down the more experienced Holly. Bradshaw wore away at Holly with a sleeper hold, but Bob managed to fight back progressively, regaining momentum and going up to the top rope for the Pitstop Plunge - until Zebekiah pulled the top rope and crotched Holly! Holly tumbled to the canvas, as Aldo Montoya tried to go after Zebekiah! Bradshaw nailed Holly with the Western Lariat, giving the "Outlaw" the victory!
The crowd booed in San Diego Sports Arena as James Bradshaw's hand was raised in victory, but meanwhile Uncle Zebekiah clocked the "Portuguese Man O'War" Aldo Montoya with what appeared to be a kendo stick! Zebekiah rolled a dazed Montoya into the ring at that moment, where Bradshaw continued the insult to injury with a Western Lariat to Montoya, leaving Montoya laid right next to his tag team partner and ally, Bob Holly! Bradshaw and Zebekiah placed their feet on the chests of Holly and Montoya, before leaving in celebration. | 00:39 | 10 | We went to the WWF In Your House Report with Todd Pettingill, who ran down the card for In Your House: Bad Attitudes, which is now just over a day away live on pay-per-view. Pettingill talked about how big the show is looking right now, featuring the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and the "King of Harts" Owen Hart settle the score once and for all in the Final Encounter, a submissions only match with the World Wrestling Federation Championship on the line; also, the "Bizarre One" Goldust and the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon will fight one more time in the first ever Hollywood Backlot Brawl, a match where anything can happen, no-pinfalls, no-submissions, no-disqualifications, and no-countouts either, the match can only conclude with a decisive knock out!; Not only that, but in a match made last Monday night on RAW, WWF President Mr Perfect authorized a bonus match for In Your House, a match to hopefully keep outside interference in the Final Encounter WWF Championship match to a minimum, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel takes on the British Bulldog; the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley made a challenge to the Ultimate Warrior to face him one-on-one, and the Warrior accepted, but now we will have to see who gets the upper hand as Helmsley battles Warrior, beast versus gentleman!; Sean Waltman has made himself a marked man in the eyes of the veteran Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who hopes to win his first title in the WWF in the WWF Intercontinental Championship, capturing his comeback to the squared circle as a success - but now it's all the more personal, as Waltman and his devious manager Ted Dibiase stole Roberts' own snake from him, and Roberts wants Revelations back! Pettingill then talked about the WWF Tag Team Championship situation between the Godwinns and the reigning champs, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and his Agent Dean Douglas, as they compete in a WrestleMania rematch tomorrow night. Pettingill sent us to a pre-taped promo from Jarrett and Douglas, as they talked about success, and how they did not think the Godwinns matched up to that idea of success in the slightest. "Double J" talked about how Henry and Phineas are idiots, and that tomorrow at In Your House, they would see why they are not true Southerners, courtesy of the country rockstar Jeff Jarrett, and the best Agent in the West, Dean Douglas! Pettingill wrapped things up, urging us to buy In Your House for a spectacular show, before signing off. | 00:41 | 11 | "The Bruiser" Riley O'Finley def. John Black [03:05] [+00:01 for O'Finley's entrance] This was it, the official in-ring debut of Riley O'Finley this morning on Superstars! "The Bruiser" has ran his mouth for weeks about being the best wrestler to enter the World Wrestling Federation from Europe, and Riley has also shown that even though he is a technically sound master in the ring, he can be a hard-hitter, as proved in bar fights in the past. Riley O'Finley started off with some simple chainwrestling, simply trying to demoralize John Black as he continued, working away at the arm of Black in particular, and O'Finley seemed dedicated to applying submission hold after submission hold to keep Black under his control. O'Finley cut Black off when he was trying to gain offense though, and O'Finley locked Black in a figure-four armlock for the easy win! In an insert promo with O'Finley, he talked about how he grew up with not much, how he had to fight in his younger days to get where he wanted, and that's exactly what brought him to the dance. O'Finley said he likes watching his opponent rive in pain, become more and more ashamed of themselves when they find out they aren't as good as the "Bruiser", and then after all of that's done, he likes to destroy and dominate his opponent by reverting back into the bare knuckle fighter he grew up being. O'Finley said that he was here in the World Wrestling Federation, and he was here to stay.
The crowd booed as Riley O'Finley mockingly bowed for the audience in San Diego, the "Bruiser" then deciding to prove that he was also a tough fighter - by keeping John Black locked in a headscissors and pounding away at him with multiple huge elbows! The referee had to ply Riley O'Finley away from his unconscious opponent, but O'Finley had effectively proven himself worthy of being a WWF superstar in an impressive outing this morning on Superstars in his debut! | 00:45 | 12 | An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Superstar Line. | 00:46 | - | Commercial Break | 00:50 | 13 | We returned to WWF Superstars where the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon was shown stood in front of his own backdrop, Razor talking about how the time has arrived to put up or shut up. Ramon talked about his rivalry with the "Bizarre One" Goldust, and how they've fought on two occasions in the past few months, and they have both been different. Goldust won a match, Razor has won a match - and it's personal to the "Bad Guy" that he wins the third encounter. Ramon said how Goldust used him to make a splash in the World Wrestling Federation, but tomorrow night in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl, Razor wins, Razor conquers, and from there, the "Bad Guy" combats the World Wrestling Federation Championship!
| 00:51 | 14 | WWF Champion "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels def. Jerry "The King" Lawler [05:23] [+00:02 for entrances] The World Wrestling Federation Champion was in a risky situation this morning on Superstars, as Shawn Michaels was coming off of a savage beating at the hands of the "King of Harts" Owen Hart - who damaged the knee of the "Heartbreak Kid" last Monday night on RAW - and is over twenty-four hours away from a big high-stakes Final Encounter match with Owen Hart, in a submissions-only match no less - and Michaels is walking on a bad knee as it is! Jerry Lawler was all jokes on his way down the aisle, the "King" in classic fashion seeking to demoralize Michaels and wear Shawn down for his friend Owen tomorrow night - but that wasn't the case, as despite the attempts to equalize on the bad knee of Shawn Michaels, the WWF Champion continued to fight back and make a mockery of Lawler, fighting him from all different angles and once again proving why some call him the "Showstopper". Lawler attempted to catch Michaels with a quick Piledriver, but that was not the case as Michaels rolled out of it and then proceeded to knock Lawler clean out with the Sweet Chin Music - all of the watching Lawler did of Michaels from commentary has not paid off!
The crowd cheered loudly in ovation for Shawn Michaels, as the "Heartbreak Kid" limped around the ring, the World Wrestling Federation Champion celebrating his victory this morning on WWF Superstars - but Jim Ross asked on commentary about the condition of Michaels' knee! Michaels seemed to have tweaked it but seemed to not be paying attention to it, as WWF Superstars went off the air. | 00:58 |

WWF In Your House 7: "Bad Attitudes" - April 28, 1996 Omaha Civic Center - Omaha, NE
Segment | Description | Timeline |
| WWF Free 4-All - Shawn Michaels was interviewed by Dok Hendrix about the condition of his weakened knee, to which Michaels said that he was confident that it was fine, and tonight he would end the business he has with Owen Hart. - The Godwinns were interviewed by Todd Pettingill preparing their slop bucket, as Hillbilly Jim touted that tonight would be the night that the Godwinns would win the WWF Tag Team Championships, and that Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas would finally get what's coming to them. - The British Bulldog was interviewed by Dok Hendrix, who talked about how the WWF Championship was coming to Camp Cornette when Owen Hart wins the gold tonight and ends the career of Shawn Michaels, before talking about Diesel and how they had unfinished business - which Bulldog would gladly end tonight. - Shawn Michaels was shown walking down a corridor when suddenly he was blind-sighted by the British Bulldog using what appeared to be a crowbar, nailing him in the back of the damaged knee. Officials dashed to Michaels' aid, as the WWF Champion appeared to be severely hurt.
WWF Free 4-All - "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (w/Ted Dibiase) vs "The Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] This one started two months ago when the "Puerto Rican Superman" was pursuing the WWF Intercontinental Championship in possession of Sean Waltman, and on one of those occasions it was "Stone Cold" Steve Austin who cost Savio Vega the match when the Puerto Rican was coming close to victory. There was no sign of Revelations tonight, the snake of Jake "The Snake" Roberts currently in possession of the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase - interesting enough for Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler to note. Austin started off slugging it out with Vega, but the aerial antics of Vega cost Austin big-time, as Austin was victim to the flying crossbody and the double chop, which caused the so-called "Ringmaster" to bail from the ring and fall into the waiting arms of Ted Dibiase, who talked strategy with him - however this was all a set up, as Vega propelled himself out of the ring over the top rope with a big senton plancha, landing on both members of the Million Dollar Corporation! Vega had the Omaha fans in awe as the ten-thousand fans in attendance were rooting for Vega! Vega continued to brawl with Austin at ringside, but that's when Austin regained control, sending Vega hard into the ring post! Austin had found a weakness on Vega's person, and he immediately targeted as he rolled the Puerto Rican inside of the ring and began to pound away at him, "Stone Cold" stomping a mudhole into the weakened shoulder of Vega, as Austin then capitalized on focusing on it, including connecting with a gutwrench suplex and a shoulder lock - but the fans in attendance were rooting for Vega, and he broke out and slowly regained momentum! Vega seemed to be setting up for the Caribbean Kick, but suddenly Austin cut him off with a Lou Thesz press, continuing to focus on the poor shoulder of the "Puerto Rican Superman" further! Austin decided that it was time to lock in the Million Dollar Dream, and Vega tried to fight it dramatically, the Nebraskan fans seriously vying for Savio to break out, but it was not to be, and Vega was rendered unconscious. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin def. "The Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega [07:08]
The fans booed loudly as the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase climbed into the ring, joining "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the adding of insult to injury, as Austin refused to let go of the Million Dollar Dream! Steve finally relinquished it, as Dibiase was one for one in matches containing his Million Dollar Corporation tonight. Austin's hand was raised in victory by Dibiase as the duo began to leave - but just as they were leaving, Uncle Zebekiah appeared with the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw! Bradshaw got into the ring and began to stomp away at Vega relentlessly, as multiple officials came out to quickly try and restrain the xenophobic "Outlaw"! |
| 1 | The opening video graphic aired, promoting the World Wrestling Federation. Following this, the opening video package for In Your House aired, as Todd Pettingill narrated discussing the boyhood dream of the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Michaels moved through the ranks of the World Wrestling Federation over the period of eight years, finally prevailing at WrestleMania XII in a long journey to become the WWF Champion for the first time - but what about before this? On November 20, 1995, Owen Hart almost ended the "Heartbreak Kid"s career before he got there, but when a post-concussion syndrome prone Michaels returned to the ring at the Royal Rumble, Owen had to enlist the assistance of his Camp Cornette allies to help give him victory in winning the Royal Rumble match, granting the "King of Harts" a shot at the WWF Championship at WrestleMania XII - but then the next month, in a gutsy performance to supposedly settle things, at February's In Your House, Michaels and Hart fought for their lives and the shot at the WWF Championship inside of a steel cage, blood everywhere, drama everywhere, the heat intensifying in the cage before Shawn Michaels prevailed. However, along the path to WrestleMania, Owen Hart once again got involved, and it paved the way for the first-ever Triple Threat. Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Owen Hart. And on March 31, 1996, Shawn Michaels won the WWF Championship pinning Bret Hart - but Owen was still bitter. Owen demanded one more shot, one more opportunity to end this once and for all, the WWF Championship, the Final Encounter. But that's when Owen added one stipulation: that Michaels' Sweet Chin Music be ineffective, no pinfalls allowed, just submissions! Pettingill talked about how tonight we may see the boyhood dream continue as a destiny dies, or we could see a destiny fulfilled and a boyhood dream destroyed forever - but one thing is for certain, that this bad blood rivalry ends tonight - it's all about Bad Attitudes! The opening graphic for In Your House aired, before we cut to pyrotechnics in the rafters of the Omaha Civic Center, where Vince McMahon alongside Jerry "The King" Lawler welcomed us to In Your House! With 10,000-plus fans on hand, they welcomed us to the show and ran down the line-up for the evening, and how it will be one heck of a ride.
| 00:03 | 2 | WWF Intercontinental Championship - Sean Waltman (w/Ted Dibiase & Revelations) (c) vs Jake "The Snake" Roberts [+00:02 for entrances; +00:02 for aftermath] It all started back at WrestleMania XII, where the resurrection of Jake "The Snake" Roberts hit a new level when he pinned "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in a six-man tag team match pitting Roberts, the "Native American" Tatanka and Savio Vega against the Million Dollar Corporation, and it was clear that the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase was vexed. With that, the following night on Monday Night RAW, Sean Waltman and Ted Dibiase created a plan, kidnapping the snake of Jake Roberts and taking Revelations hostage, further heightening the problems beginning between Roberts and the Million Dollar Corporation. Since then Jake has been vying to get the Anaconda back in his position, and last Monday night on RAW we witnessed the biggest humiliation, as Waltman and Dibiase draped Revelations over the fallen body of Jake Roberts. Tonight, Roberts was determined to take two big chunks out of the Corporation's army, to take back his snake, and also cap off his resurrection to a whole new level, winning his first title in his ten year career with the World Wrestling Federation, the WWF Intercontinental Champion. Waltman seemed overconfident in this one, but when Jake hit the ring for his entrance, he went straight for Waltman and pounded away at him, getting him into a corner and pounding away at the Kid, before sending him flying into the opposite corner creating an enormous splat, as Waltman tried to slide out of the ring - but that's where Jake followed him. Roberts met Sean at ringside and continued to give Waltman some jabs, before sending him right into the steel steps! Roberts re-entered the ring, the fans in Omaha highly supportive of the grizzled veteran in this title outing. Waltman changed his tone, throwing a tantrum outside of the ring, highly contrasting with what he said yesterday morning on Superstars about being a man now, that the days of being the Kid was behind him. Waltman slowly got back into the ring, as the official restrained Roberts in the opposite corner - but that's when Roberts went back at Waltman, cornering him again and pounding at him until the referee restrained the "Snake"! But that allowed an opening for the champion, who kicked Roberts in the leg and connected with a leg screw, Waltman then stomping away at Roberts relentlessly, fighting fire with fire and adopting a violent in-ring positioning against Roberts! Waltman resorted to choking, before striking Roberts with a barrage of lefts and rights, Waltman finding his confidence as he began to strut around the ring, allowing Roberts to return to his feet. Waltman targeted the leg of the 41 year-old, as he proceeded to kick Roberts using his educated feet, a spinkick catching Roberts groggy. The fans were booing in attendance as the WWF Intercontinental Champion furthered the attack on the leg, wrapping it up over the second rope and kicking it repeatedly for good measure, as Waltman seemed to be trying to Charlie Horse the leg of the more experienced challenger, the Kid then catching Roberts with another dragon screw, following up with several knees over the left knee of Jake "The Snake". The WWF Intercontinental Champion applied an Indian Deathlock, as the fans cheered in anticipation of Roberts trying to break the hold, but it did not happen for quite an extended period of time, as Waltman continued to apply pressure on the weakened knee of Roberts, even slyly applying extra leverage from Ted Dibiase at ringside behind the referee's back! Waltman continued this strategy repeatedly, but eventually the referee caught him and Waltman lost focus, allowing Roberts to sit up and crack Waltman in the jaw! Now with a stern limp, Roberts slowly returned to his feet, where he connected with a big gutbuster! Jake "The Snake" was slower than before, but he picked Waltman up and prepared the DDT, but that's when Dibiase distracted Jake with Revelations in his hand, and Jake went for Ted just to get a big axe kick from Waltman! Jake fell through the ropes to the apron, where Waltman followed up with a big spear taking both men through the ropes to the floor! After moments of neither man moving, Waltman slowly got up, but that's when Jake reversed it and sent Waltman careening into the steps one more time, deja vu from before! Roberts then followed Dibiase around the ringside area with Revelations in his hand, until Waltman caught up with Jake from behind and rolled him back into the ring, going up to the top rope and coming off with a sweet missile dropkick! Waltman continued to pound away at Jake and targeted the knee, before deciding to give Roberts some arrogance, carrying him to the corner and rest his head against the bottom turnbuckle - before darting across the ring full speed and trying for that insulting crotch-to-face maneuver in the corner just for Jake to get a boot up, kicking Waltman fiercely in the gut - and Jake nailed Waltman with a DDT! Jake slowly went for the cover, and the referee counted - until Jerry Lawler intervened, pulling the referee out of the ring! The referee was confused, as was everybody else, the "King" not wanting Jake to get the win tonight! Jake was confused, as he saw the "King" and went for him, but that set up Waltman as the referee was being used as a shield at ringside by Lawler, Dibiase meanwhile slipping the WWF Intercontinental Championship to Waltman, who nailed Roberts with the belt right between the eyes! Waltman covered, and the referee counted the three! Sean Waltman (c) def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship [12:28] **1/4
Sean Waltman celebrated his win to loud boos, as Ted Dibiase helped the WWF Intercontinental Champion to his feet in the ring, handing him his ill-rightfully retained WWF Intercontinental Championship gold, as Waltman celebrated with the title held high above his head. Dibiase then decided that he wanted to add insult to Jake Roberts injury, revealing Revelations from the burlap sack! Revelations slithered around the ring, as Jerry "The King" Lawler returned to commentary stating that justice had just been served! Waltman provocatively held the Anaconda between his legs, before resting him down on Roberts, but that's when Roberts awoke, kicking Waltman in the crotch! Dibiase was panicking, as Roberts slowly returned to life after playing possum, picking up his snake and cornering the "Million Dollar Man" with Revelations now in his rightful owner's control! Roberts held Revelations against Dibiase's face as Ted fainted, the "Million Dollar Man" down and out! Lawler was freaking out, demanding Roberts returned the snake to the Million Dollar Corporation, and that's when Roberts draped the snake over the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Waltman freaking out! Roberts celebrated, reunited with his snake despite not winning the title, as Waltman tried to revive Dibiase at ringside, who was down and out! | 00:19 | 3 | Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler talked about what happened, as McMahon demanded that Jerry explain himself for what he just did tonight to Jake Roberts, screwing him out of the WWF Intercontinental Championship! "The King" said that it was justly deserved, and that we should be thanking him because nobody would be able to trust Jake as champion! Just as McMahon questioned what that meant, he began to talk about the World Wrestling Federation Championship match later tonight, a match at high stakes as Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart go one on one for the last time in a submissions only match - but McMahon reverted us to what happened on the Free 4-All, where Shawn was walking around with a giant target on his knee, the "Heartbreak Kid"s knee being injured last Monday night on RAW at the hands of Owen, and that could have been aggravated earlier tonight when the British Bulldog jumped Michaels with what appeared to be a crowbar, a hit-and-run as Bulldog nailed Michaels in the back of the leg! McMahon then took us to Dok Hendrix in the backstage area, where he hoped would have some sort of update on the condition of the injured WWF Champion! | 00:20 | 4 | Dok Hendrix was shown in the backstage area outside of the trainer's office, as Hendrix described the atmosphere as being chaotic, with the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels still being worked on after the savage attack by the British Bulldog earlier tonight, Hendrix then stating that although Shawn seemed to be a dire amount of pain from the shot with the crowbar, he is allegedly still wanting to take part in tonight's WWF Championship match, but at what cost! Dok said how Michaels could have a giant target on his leg, and that could cost him big time with Owen Hart's lethal Sharpshooter hold, which could possibly dehabilitate Shawn and cost him his WWF Championship. Hendrix hoped to have an update later on tonight. | 00:20 | 5 | The Hollywood Backlot Brawl - "The Bizarre One" Goldust (w/Marlena) vs "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon [+00:01 for Razor's entrance] This was the next installment and hopefully final installment of the rivalry between the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon and the "Bizarre One" Goldust, as Goldust has shown to be malicious and evil with his mind games in the past, using his sexuality as a distraction to the man that oozes machismo, Razor Ramon. It was back in February where Goldust stole a victory against the "Bad Guy", but last month at WrestleMania it would be Razor reigning victorious in the barbaric Falls Count Anywhere collision, and since then Goldust has been obsessed with ending this rivalry with the "Bad Guy" with a victory in his favor, inviting him to this match known as the Hollywood Backlot Brawl - no rules applied! Razor Ramon seemed confident going into this one, as he began to strut his way down the aisleway, the fans applauding Razor on his way down the aisle, but that's when Goldust jumped Ramon dramatically from behind, Goldust pounding away at Ramon with relentless lefts and rights, as Goldust was bothered about settling the score between him and Razor, everything legal in this one with no referee present! Goldust sent Razor sailing into the guard rail against the crowd, where the "Bizarre One" followed up with more lefts and rights, but Razor then began to fire back, some sluggish lefts and rights for Goldust in return! Razor then sent Goldust into the guard rail, where he delivered some of his own lefts and rights before Goldust poked Razor in the eye! Goldust went for a suplex on the floor, but that was reversed by the strength of Ramon, who suplexed Goldust right onto the floor, the thin carpeting on the aisle completely different to the padded mats at ringside. Ramon got back to his feet before whipping Goldust into the ring apron, to which the "Bizarre One" returned with a kick to the groin, dismantling Ramon's focus momentarily as the golden one found a golden shovel underneath the ring and slammed it into the spine of Razor, sending him down to the floor! Goldust then wrapped the shovel's body around Razor's neck and tried to choke the "Bad Guy", to which Ramon soon broke free, taking control of the shovel and slamming it across the skull of Goldust, causing him to collapse like a car wreck! Ramon dropped the shovel before picking Goldust up and fighting with him up the aisleway, just for the golden one to reverse it and give Ramon a big right hand, as the "Bad Guy" fell into the front door by the In Your House stage setup, Goldust trying to splash Razor into the door - but Razor moved! Goldust got a face full of the door, and that's when Razor dragged Goldust to the floor and catapulted him right into the door! Razor and Goldust were going to drag the set down, as Razor picked Goldust up and delivered a fallaway slam, breaking Goldust right through the door! The fans applauded as Ramon showboated for the fans in attendance, until he turned around to look for Goldust and got a face full of foam from a fire extinguisher! Goldust and Ramon brawled into the backstage area through the front door, as the fans were rapid, Vince McMahon trying to get more of the action backstage! To be continued [04:49] n/a
| 00:25 | 6 | The cameras went back to Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler on commentary, as Jerry commented that Goldust knows what to do, with his big background in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl - this was all intended to happen! McMahon hoped dearly that we could get some cameras on the backstage area because he's certain that this one won't be over anytime soon. They talked about how this is a first for the World Wrestling Federation, very unorthodox for the audience. With that, McMahon reluctantly began to talk about the upcoming match. | 00:35 | 7 | WWF Tag Team Championships - "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas (c) vs The Godwinns (w/Hillbilly Jim) [+00:02 for entrances] Since winning the WWF Tag Team Championships from the Smoking Gunns back at the Royal Rumble in January, Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas have proven themselves to be a strong, cooperative tag team in the World Wrestling Federation, defeating everyone who oppose them, such as the Smoking Gunns, the Godwinns, the Bodydonnas and many other tandems, but their teamwork could be justified by their arrogance, as "Double J" and his Agent have proven numerous times what no-good individuals they can really be, their arrogance through the roof and it's all about who the true southerners are, the Tennessee bred country music singer Jarrett and his Pittsburgh born agent, or the true farmers of Arkansas, Phineas and Henry of the Godwinn clan, forever supported by their manager, veteran Hillbilly Jim. It came to a head last month at WrestleMania XII where Jarrett and Douglas intentionally got themselves counted out against the Godwinns, and the farmers were not happy one bit about that. The Godwinns were here to raise some havoc tonight, as Henry O. Godwinn started off with Dean Douglas, Henry delivering numerous haymakers to the anatomy of Douglas and sending him from one side of the ring to the other with a simple snapmare! Henry and Phineas in the opening moments showed how popular they are with the fans in the World Wrestling Federation, as they double-teamed Douglas, the Godwinns then square dancing to follow up on it! Jarrett and Douglas were disturbed by the antics of the Arkansas natives, as Phineas I. Godwinn got inside the ring and continued to pound away at Douglas, delivering numerous lefts and rights to him from the top rope. Phineas, often known as the more aggressive of the Godwinns then got himself carried away and tied up with the referee, when Douglas raked his eyes and rained down with numerous punches to the taller Phineas. Douglas followed up by tagging in "Double J", who entered the ring oozing confidence, as he strutted around before taking Phineas down with a big right hand! Jarrett stomped away at Phineas to further the beatdown before landing a big knee drop into the chest of Phineas. Jarrett mocked Henry and Hillbilly Jim as Douglas and Jarrett continued their teamwork with a double suplex to Phineas, for a near fall. Jarrett decided to do more to put Phineas away, applying a headlock and trying to keep the big nasty pig farmer at bay. Jarrett and Douglas continued with their consistent tags, continuing to work away at Phineas and try to isolate the Godwinns from one another, as the 10,000 fans in attendance tried to root for Phineas to make a comeback and manage to get the tag. Douglas and Jarrett traded headlocks and even tried to entice Henry on the other side of the ring to enter the ring, so that the WWF Tag Team Champions could continue to double-team Phineas with the referee's back turned. Jarrett was obsessed with trying to get the big man down and keep him off his feet, and that nearly backfired, as the country singer went to the top rope and tried to come off with an axe handle onto Phineas, just for Phineas to get a foot up, catching Jarrett in the jaw! Phineas fired back with some lefts and rights, nailing a sidewalk slam on Jarrett and going to tag in Henry, but Douglas had the referee distracted, and the tag was not legalized! Jarrett resumed the beatdown of Phineas, as the referee argued with Henry, Jarrett and Douglas again with their consistent teamwork, proving exactly why they deserve to be champions tonight. Douglas blew it though, as he went up to the top rope for what appeared to be a crossbody, but Phineas managed to catch him in his hands, and he gave Douglas a fallaway slam! Phineas was slow, as the fans in Omaha were rooting for him, and Henry got the tag! Henry darted in a house on fire, clotheslining both champions in one foul swoop before going for the Slop Drop, but Jarrett got in the way with a big forearm to the back of the head, and Douglas nailed Henry with an impressive fisherman suplex! Jarrett clocked Phineas at ringside with a baseball slide, as Douglas had the legs of Henry hooked securely, getting the victory! "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas (c) def. The Godwinns to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships [09:24] **
The crowd booed as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Agent Dean Douglas rolled out of the ring to avoid the agitated Henry O. Godwinn and Hillbilly Jim, but the fact remained that the WWF Tag Team Champions had retained their titles, and they hadn't ran away from a fight this time, like last month at WrestleMania XII. Jarrett and Douglas celebrated with their titles, as Vince McMahon talked about Goldust and Razor Ramon resuming their fight, cutting away to the backstage area! | 00:47 | 8 | The Hollywood Backlot Brawl Pt. 2 - "The Bizarre One" Goldust vs "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon In the backstage area, we finally had a camera crew on sight, as Goldust and Razor Ramon were slugging it out near the exit to the Omaha Civic Center! The "Bizarre One" had a cut on his forehead, as Razor scoop slammed him onto a concession stand counter, fans seen in the background applauding the chaotic action that the Hollywood Backlot Brawl was bringing! Razor ripped open the golden suit of Goldust exposing his chest, before slamming his open hand right down into the chest, chopping away at Goldust relentless, as Ramon was getting all riled up now! Ramon was finding all kinds of food in the concession stand, but he found some mustard and began to fire it away at the face of the "Bad Guy"! Goldust suddenly fired back with several kicks to the gut, as the mustard mess that was the "Bizarre One" battled back, a clothesline sending Ramon over the table and out into the open space on the floor in the lobby of the Civic Center! Ramon and Goldust resumed their fight as Goldust sent Ramon right into a pop corn vendor, Goldust pounding away at Ramon further before trying to put the "Bad Guy" in the actual vendor full of pop corn! Goldust smothered Ramon with it, ramming his head in to which Razor fought back, and tossed Goldust right into it! Ramon tried to drown Goldust in with the pop corn, before he fired back with lefts and rights! Jerry Lawler was catching all kinds of one liners in this brawl, as Goldust then kicked Ramon in the gut, the two men moving closer to the exit of the arena, where Razor was almost sent careening out of the front door! Razor blocked it though, as he then shoved Goldust halfway in the revolving doors, trapping him momentarily! Goldust was in pain from that, but he managed to fight back once again - all of this for who the better man was! The "Bizarre One" scoop slammed Ramon right onto the tiled floor before rubbing his boot right across the face of the "Bad Guy", trying to break his face! The golden one stroked his bare chest to the fans disapproval in the background, but his showboating served as his own distraction, as Ramon tripped Goldust and fired away at him some more, raining down punches across the face and head of the bleeding Goldust! Ramon then tried to whip Goldust out of the arena's front door, but Goldust reversed it and Ramon was left outside! Goldust crawled away from the fight, seemingly not wanting anymore of the "Bad Guy"! To be continued [04:25] n/a | 00:51 | 9 | Meanwhile, Jim Ross was shown standing by with the "King of Harts" Owen Hart and the British Bulldog, accompanied by James E. Cornette. Ross wanted to get some comments from the Camp Cornette members regarding their actions already so far tonight at In Your House, to which Owen commented that this pay-per-view is named Bad Attitudes for a reason, because they are the Bad Attitudes in the World Wrestling Federation! James E. Cornette continued, talking about how it has been Owen's lifelong dream to be better than his brother Bret Hart, and tonight he has just that chance! Cornette commented that the stakes are high tonight, and that in the Final Encounter there will be no disqualifications, no count-outs, just submissions, and that man on the receiving end tonight will be the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels - tonight Owen will do what Bret couldn't, and beat Shawn Michaels - but not only that, disfigure him, cripple him, and tonight, he will do just that when he destroys the boyhood dream! Ross asked the British Bulldog for some comments before his match tonight with "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, talking about their rivalry beginning last Fall and emanating at October's In Your House event. Bulldog talked about how they have a rivalry that needs settling, and tonight he will do just that - because he is stronger than Diesel, he is better than Diesel, and tonight he will eliminate any chance of Diesel getting in the way of the "King of Harts" winning the WWF Championship! Owen said that tonight he will put an end to Michaels once and for all, and he will achieve his destiny of becoming World Wrestling Federation Champion! | 00:53 | 10 | A video package aired, reviewing the actions and comments of one Hunter Hearst Helmsley in recent weeks, as the "Blue Blood" complained that he wasn't seeing enough action in the World Wrestling Federation, how he was being overlooked of success, and that the Greenwich "Blue Blood" deserved more than he was getting. Helmsley targeted the Ultimate Warrior, who returned at last month's WrestleMania XII - and claimed that Warrior was the reason for him not getting the attention that he deserved. Helmsley commented on Warrior's physique, his composure, his gestures and "boarish behavior", claiming to put an end to that ridiculous legacy, and make way for his own - but will that be the case tonight at In Your House? | 00:54 | 11 | "The Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Elizabeth Hilden) vs The Ultimate Warrior [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The "Blue Blood" has been on a roll when it comes to commenting on the Ultimate Warrior recently, wanting to see more action, expecting more to show off his success in the World Wrestling Federation and move up the ranks. Helmsley came out tonight a focused man accompanied as always by his valet Elizabeth Hilden, the "Blue Blood" confidently curtsying and expecting not a lot from this outing with the Ultimate Warrior, an aura whom we haven't seen in several weeks but has been making a powerful impact on the WWF since returning at WrestleMania XII. Helmsley was ready to fight, but that may have changed when he saw the raw intensity of the Warrior dash down to the ring, his fist raised for the screaming fans in attendance in Omaha, Nebraska, Warrior ready to fight, and prove that he can overpower the might of the "Blue Blood". The Ultimate Warrior and Helmsley stared each other down for what seemed like a long time, as Helmsley talked trash to Warrior's face - but the one error he made was making the first punch, as Warrior blocked it and delivered several rights of his own to Hunter! Warrior continued with the stiff right hands, Helmsley then ran off of the ropes and given a big clothesline! Helmsley did not know what to make of this phenomenon that was the Warrior! Warrior went to continue his attack on Helmsley, but Helmsley rolled out of the ring into the waiting arms of an alarmed Hilden! Warrior decided to bounce off of the ropes as he waited impatiently for the cowardly "Blue Blood" to get back inside of the ring. Warrior eventually decided to slip out of the ring when Helmsley wasn't looking, and as Helmsley talked with Hilden about strategy, Warrior crept up behind Hunter and scared him, Warrior sending Helmsley down with a clothesline! Warrior then set his eyes on Elizabeth, as Jerry Lawler panicked, warning Hilden not to get involved! Hilden then courageously slapped the Warrior, awakening the beast as he freaked out and grabbed her wrist firmly, planting a huge kiss on Hilden! Hilden freaked out, and that's when Helmsley nailed Warrior in the spine with a steel chair! The referee proceeded to throw the match out. The Ultimate Warrior def. "The Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley by disqualification [03:38] n/a
The crowd booed, as Hunter Hearst Helmsley laughed about nailing the curdled over Ultimate Warrior in the spine - when suddenly Warrior stood back up straight, his back turned to Hunter! The "Blue Blood" decided to nail Warrior a second time, but once again Warrior did not react, before he turned around and grabbed the steel chair from Helmsley and threw it away! Helmsley tried to strike Warrior, but he fired back and rolled Helmsley back into the ring, as Warrior picked Helmsley up high and gorilla press slammed him, before dashing off of the ropes and splashing down on the back of Warrior! The fans roared as Warrior celebrated in the ring, sparks flying in the formation of Warrior's face paint above the ring, the fans giving it up for the Ultimate Warrior tonight! | 01:00 | 12 | The cameras directed us to the backstage area, where Vince McMahon reported that there was a verdict on the update of the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels after what happened earlier tonight. Dok Hendrix was standing by outside of the trainer's office, as he said that although the "Heartbreak Kid"s knee is in bad shape, Shawn has insisted on competing in tonight's WWF Championship submission match, and to quote, "to put an end to Owen Hart's destiny, for the final time!". | 01:01 | 13 | Meanwhile, Jim Ross was shown on the phones for the WWF Hotline, where he was joined by Hillbilly Jim and the Godwinns, who were discussing their loss earlier tonight against Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas over the WWF Tag Team Championships. Vince McMahon urged us to call the WWF Hotline to chat with the Godwinns. | 01:02 | 14 | "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel vs The British Bulldog (w/James E. Cornette) [+00:03 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] This match was added last Monday night on RAW to the show tonight, as made official by President Mr Perfect in an attempt to keep "Big Daddy Cool" and the British Bulldog out of the WWF Championship Final Encounter match later on tonight. This feud was fierce last Fall, when the British Bulldog turned his back on Diesel when he was the World Wrestling Federation Champion, and originally came to an end last October at In Your House, when Diesel defeated the Bulldog to retain the WWF Championship. Six months later however, it was Diesel who made the save for the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels against Camp Cornette, and has seemingly changed his ways after going out on his own agenda and turning his back on the fans - and tonight this could be confirmed as that exactly. James E. Cornette led the way for the British Bulldog, as Bulldog seemed determined to take Diesel out of the picture to prevent him from getting involved in the "King of Harts" supposedly winning the World Wrestling Federation Championship later tonight, whereas Diesel came out with a smirk on his face, seemingly prepared to deal with the British Bulldog and eliminate him from the proceedings, where he hoped to see his best friend Shawn Michaels retain the WWF Championship. Bulldog daringly decided to start off the match with a test of strength with "Big Daddy Cool", but the shorter Bulldog found himself too short to reach up to the hands of the former WWF Champion, causing Bulldog to knee him in the gut, trying instead to cut down the big tree that is Diesel with numerous kicks to his knees. Bulldog continued his offense by using his raw strength to power the seven-footer into the ropes, but as Diesel came back, he slammed Bulldog's face right into the canvas! Diesel continued with a big back elbow in the corner, followed up by a clothesline over the top rope, as Diesel had the Brit reeling on the outside! James E. Cornette rushed over to give Bulldog some insight into Diesel's strategy, trying to calm the big man down, as Diesel watched on charismatically popping the fans with his antics. "Big Daddy Cool" soon grabbed Bulldog by the head and tried to drag him back into the ring, but Bulldog blocked it, cuttering Diesel over the top rope, almost hanging him! Bulldog then pulled the legs of the seven-footer under the ropes before slamming the back of Diesel's legs across the edge of the ring apron, before Bulldog began to taunt the crowd. Bulldog continued to work away on the legs of "Big Daddy Cool" inside, attempting to keep "Big Daddy Cool" off of his feet, as Bulldog repeatedly tried to cut the big tree down by stomping away at the legs of Diesel and dropping elbows across them, but Diesel soon grew weary of Bulldog's punishment, giving Bulldog a big right hand stunning the Bulldog! Diesel slowly got to his feet, limping over to his opponent before sending him off the ropes with a sidewalk slam! Diesel continued to pound away at Bulldog, before Cornette got onto the apron, causing Bulldog to get in some offense, as he shockingly picked Diesel off of his feet with ease, dropping him with a scoop slam! Bulldog roared as the fans in Omaha disapproved, Bulldog then going back to work on the legs of Diesel. Bulldog tried to lock in a spinning toe hold, made infamous thanks to Terry Funk - but Diesel managed to kick Bulldog away, Bulldog then suddenly coming back with a kick to the face! Bulldog was proving how relentless he was, as he told Diesel to just throw in the towel, to which Diesel shoved Bulldog away, causing more of a beating courtesy of the Camp Cornette member! Bulldog decided that it was time to put the big man away, as he went to give Bulldog the Running Powerslam, but Diesel slipped out, giving Bulldog several clotheslines and a big boot! Diesel was going for his own ending to the match, setting up for the Jackknife Powerbomb - but somehow Bulldog overpowered him, a big back drop by Bulldog! Bulldog was really showing his raw strength tonight, as Cornette tried to catch Diesel's attention, the big man trying to get back up, before Bulldog picked Diesel up...for a suplex! Diesel was stuck in the air for about ten seconds, before Bulldog sent the seven-footer down with the stalling suplex! The impressive power of Bulldog was showing tonight at In Your House, as Bulldog began to set up for the Running Powerslam, but like before Diesel slipped out and clotheslined Bulldog down! Diesel nailed the sidewalk slam before getting Bulldog up for the Jackknife Powerbomb, it connecting! Diesel then went to cover, but that's when Clarence Mason ran down to ringside, a piece of paper in his hand as Mason got onto the apron and waved it in Diesel's face! Diesel was distracted by the returning Mason, who picked up the piece of paper before swinging for the lawyer! Mason dodged it however, and that's when the British Bulldog shocked Diesel and got him up for the Running Powerslam, it connecting for a shocking three count! The British Bulldog def. "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel [12:14] **1/4
The crowd booed loudly in Omaha, as the British Bulldog's hand was raised in victory! Bulldog was then met by a hug from James E. Cornette, as Cornette waved his tennis racket high in the air, before the duo welcomed back Clarence Mason, who hasn't been seen since February after being taken out by from Michaels! Mason hugged, reunited with his Camp Cornette comrades, as Camp Cornette were one for one, just needing Owen Hart to win the WWF Championship later tonight! The trio left together quickly as they realized that "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel was stirring in the ring, Diesel having suffered yet another loss tonight at In Your House: Bad Attitudes. The referee helped Diesel to his feet, but "Big Daddy Cool" was vexed, shoving the referee away, shrugging off the fans and stumbling out of the ring before limping to the back, "Big Daddy Cool"s temper seemingly returning after another loss in the World Wrestling Federation for the former WWF Champion. | 01:18 | 15 | An advertisement aired, promoting the next pay-per-view event for the World Wrestling Federation, WWF In Your House, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, May 26, 1996. | 01:18 | 16 | The Hollywood Backlot Brawl Pt. 3 - "The Bizarre One" Goldust vs "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon Suddenly, we cut to the backstage parking lot in the Omaha Civic Center, where the "Bizarre One" Goldust drastically pulled up in his golden Cadallac, Goldust hastily getting out and crawling on all fours along the floor, as Vince McMahon noted that Goldust had attempted to flee the Civic Center here in Nebraska to avoid fighting further with the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon - but Ramon was persistent, as suddenly another car screeched up next to Goldust's, and outside stepped Ramon! Ramon had a leather strap in hand, as he whipped it hard against the spine of Goldust, as Goldust continued to crawl away from Razor, not wanting anymore of the "Bad Guy"! Goldust then paused and kicked Ramon in the leg, before getting to his feet and kneeing Ramon in the face, sending Razor down. Goldust then decided to dish out some punishment to the "Bad Guy", taking the leather strap and choking him with it, before dragging him across the floor on his knees, Goldust basically treating Razor like his pet dog! Ramon then fired back with some shots to the abdomen of Goldust, breaking free of the "Bizarre One"s bizarre offense and ramming his head into a wall! The two traded blows, as they reached a curtain, coming back out through the door of the In Your House stage! Razor and Goldust continued to tussle near the stage set up, as Razor sent Goldust rolling along the aisle, Ramon continuing to bring the hurt to Goldust, as the golden one was once again fleeing from Razor, nearing ringside. Goldust tried to lead Ramon into the steel steps like before, but Ramon blocked it, and instead turned around to be nailed with a golden trash can by Goldust! Goldust tossed the can into the ring before rolling the body of Ramon into the ring, also securing a kendo stick. Goldust got into the ring and placed the trash can over the head of Razor, insulting the "Bad Guy" as the fans booed, Goldust then beginning to stroke himself, picking up the kendo stick! But just as Goldust went to nail the can over Razor's head with the stick, Razor stood up and clotheslined Goldust! Razor then put the trash can over Goldust's head instead, before bashing the kendo stick into Goldust's trash canned head numerous times! The can was dinted dramatically, as Goldust tried to walk after suffering such a beating, Ramon clocking Goldust with the kendo stick one last time! Ramon grabbed the golden suit of Goldust, before ripping it right off of him! Goldust was left wearing nothing but...bra and panties!? Ramon looked weirded out by the revelation that the "Bizarre One" was dressed in lady garments, but nonetheless decided to prop the trash can over his head for additional shame! Goldust was humiliated, as the "Bad Guy" stood tall, this rivalry having finally reached a climax tonight! "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon def. "The Bizarre One" Goldust in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl [07:22; total shown: 16:34] n/a | 01:25 | 17 | In the backstage dressing room, Dok Hendrix was shown entering the medical room in the Omaha Civic Center, hoping for some comments from the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels before his first WWF Championship defense. Michaels was shown stretching with the trainer, the World Wrestling Federation Champion visibly wearing a bandage wrapped around his knee, as Dok asked Shawn about how his knee is doing moments before the Final Encounter with Owen Hart. Shawn said that his knee feels horrible, he said how pathetic it is to see Camp Cornette up to no good, but he doesn't blame them, because Owen Hart is just jealous of the success of the "Heartbreak Kid". Shawn talked about how it is also very smart of them, because tonight Michaels is going to go through absolute hell to survive this submissions only match - but what the "King of Harts" does not speculate is that despite Camp Cornette probably getting involved, despite Owen being a submission specialist thanks to his family's background, and despite everything, Shawn Michaels has a lot more tricks up his sleeve, and by the end of tonight, much like their rivalry, Owen Hart will be done! Michaels left, as Hendrix thanked him for his time. | 01:26 | 18 | The video package aired, promoting the main event confrontation between the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and the "King of Harts" Owen Hart; they have been rivals since last November when it all started with a lethal enzuigiri courtesy of the "King of Harts", but it became more about glory and gold than it became about pride and dignity - the "Heartbreak Kid"s boyhood dream was to be the World Wrestling Federation Champion, and Michaels made a historic comeback to try and claim the WWF Championship, but just as luck would have it, it was also Owen's. Owen stole the moment from Michaels by winning the 1996 Royal Rumble match, last eliminating Shawn; but Michaels returned the favor when he gained access to the WrestleMania XII opportunity, defeating Owen at February's In Your House inside of a steel cage. At WrestleMania, Owen's destiny was lost, as Michaels won the WWF Championship in the Triple Threat - but he pinned Bret "Hitman" Hart to win it, not Owen. Owen claimed that Michaels couldn't beat him, and soon stacked the decks by putting Michaels in a situation where the Sweet Chin Music wouldn't be effective - a submission match. Owen and Camp Cornette rallied Michaels and rattled his cage for weeks, before an unlikely ally of Shawn's, former best friend "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel made the rescue and had Shawn's back. But tonight, it's all about ending rivalries, it's Shawn, Owen: the Final Encounter! | 01:28 | 19 | The Final Encounter - WWF Championship - Submission match - "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (c) vs "The King of Harts" Owen Hart [+00:03 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The "King of Harts" came down to the ring full of smugness, as only Owen Hart could, but strangely, despite his Camp Cornette allies James E. Cornette, the British Bulldog and returning Clarence Mason being seen about twenty minutes ago, Owen was out here by himself, Jerry Lawler speculating that perhaps Owen wanted to do this in a prideful way, whereas Vince McMahon dismissed the "King"s theory stating that Owen has proven time and time again that he has many tricks up his sleeve. Owen was nonetheless dedicated to wanting to win the World Wrestling Federation Championship tonight in the Final Encounter, because it was all or nothing for Hart. When Shawn Michaels' theme hit, there was some hesitation on the arrival of the WWF Champion, but nonetheless did Shawn ever make an appearance, as Michaels steadily walked down the aisleway strutting his stuff despite visibly being in pain brandishing the bandage wrapped around his knee. Michaels got into the ring and set off his pyrotechnics despite this, posing for the fans in attendance as Owen patiently watched on from the corner, these two going at it on pay-per-view one last time, the fourth time this year. The bell sounded, as the two men stood facing each other intently, jet black stares either way, before coming to blows dramatically, Michaels somehow getting the better of it despite his injury and sending Owen off the ropes, going for the hip toss just for Owen to slide to the outside! The fans booed loudly as Michaels waited for the confident "King of Harts" to re-enter the ring. Owen was smug as he did it, circling the ring before slowly getting back inside, demonstrating the lack of count-out rule in this one. Owen and Michaels locked horns, as Owen cornered Michaels, stomping away at the knee of Shawn, the same knee that was nailed with a wrench earlier tonight by the British Bulldog! Owen grinned as he finally backed off after being restrained by Earl Hebner, Hart this time demonstrating that there was no disqualifications in this submission match! However this cocky pause from Owen led to Michaels fighting back, getting Owen in the corner and chopping him repeatedly, before clotheslining him to the canvas! The fans cheered as Michaels locked in an armbar on Owen, seemingly going for a quick victory to avoid further damage to his knee. Owen traded it by going back after the foot, a lot of mat-wrestling on hand, as the two continued to try and one-up the other, Owen with the legbars, but Shawn with the armbars, before Owen flipped out of an armbar and onto his feet, impressing the fans! But that's when Shawn relented, nipping up to the applause of fans in Omaha. Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart reset with a test of strength, this time proving who was the stronger of the two, and Michaels proved that he was the strong, until Owen suddenly flipped out over and pinned Michaels, but Shawn was proving here that pinfalls didn't count, but bridged out of it instead, the "Heartbreak Kid" then thrusting Owen off of his thighs, launching Owen over with a forward flip, Michaels then rolling on top of Owen before Owen put his feet up, Michaels landing on his feet before Owen got to his feet, the "King of Harts" then kicking Shawn back in the leg, the sly antics of Hart making a return, as Owen then capitalized on the bandaged knee, a dragon screw taking Michaels down to the canvas, but Owen like the professional he is stayed with the leg, and continued to go to work on it with relentless stomps! Owen soon locked in a legbar, trying anything he could to wear down the already injured knee of the WWF Champion, Shawn Michaels. Michaels rived in pain as Owen continued to stretch and exercize the knee of Michaels, bending it back and stomping away at it to loud boos from the Omaha crowd. Owen's showboating quickly led to an accident though, as Owen tried to go for another leg stomp, just for Michaels to drop toe hold Owen, and the challenger caught his neck on the bottom turnbuckle! Michaels slowly got to his feet, limping over to Owen, as he positioned his leg around the middle ring rope and stomped away at it! Michaels was also relentless, as the passion of the superstars involved showed how much this moment meant to them, a chance to be the better man, a chance to be the World Wrestling Federation Champion, boyhood dream versus destiny! But the desperation of Owen soon came out, as he low blowed Michaels, before tossing him over the top rope, just for Michaels to skin the cat! The "King of Harts" launched himself at Shawn, but HBK sent Owen flying over the top rope, and Owen landed awkwardly on his ankle on the floor! Michaels was in agony, but he rolled out of the ring and continued to capitalize on the ankle of Owen, finding an opening in the challenger - but did he know any submissions to put the "King of Harts" away? Michaels went straight to work on it, as Shawn soon had Owen grabbing his own ankle in pain, Michaels far from done with the "King of Harts". Michaels continued before going for the figure-four leglock on Owen Hart, applying the pressure onto the ankle, as Owen was screaming in pain! Owen seemed to be on the verge of tapping out, but suddenly James E. Cornette came out to ringside, Cornette getting on the apron! Michaels realized though and went straight for him, Cornette and Michaels separated by Earl Hebner! Owen slowly regained momentum however, when he came straight from behind with the enzuigiri! Michaels fell through the ropes to the outside, as the ball was now in Owen's court once again. Hart went to work on the knee of Michaels once again, ripping the bandage off and going for the Sharpshooter in the ring - just for Michaels to kick Owen off, Owen running back into the Sweet Chin Music - but no pinfalls in this match! Shawn struck Cornette who was once again on the apron, before going for the figure-four leglock once again, Michaels for the second time with Owen riving in pain! But this time out came the British Bulldog, Camp Cornette coming prepared as the cheap tactics of Owen becoming exposed in an act of desperation on behalf of Camp Cornette! Bulldog and Michaels came to blows, before Owen came from behind with a chop block into the back of Michaels' leg, Owen then pounding away at the bad exposed knee of the "Heartbreak Kid". Hart locked in the Sharpshooter as the fans booed, Owen with his fist raised with Bulldog watching from beside Owen, Hart confident that he was going to win the WWF Championship - but "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel came running down the aisleway, Diesel hitting the ring causing Bulldog to rush out of the ring and up the aisleway, escaping after the occurrence in their match earlier tonight! Diesel picked Owen up and dropped him with a big Jackknife Powerbomb, as Diesel was settling the score equally between Camp Cornette and the Kliq - but that's when Diesel clocked Michaels! The fans booed loudly, as Diesel grabbed Michaels by the throat, a dazed WWF Champion up and down with the Jackknife Powerbomb! The fans were left clueless, as Diesel slowly left the ring and went up the aisleway, Owen and Michaels both left unconscious in the ring - Camp Cornette out of the picture, but McMahon could not believe what had just transpired! Michaels was out, as Owen began to stir, the "King of Harts" slowly but surely standing up and limping over to Michaels, where he locked in the Sharpshooter, the pain and pressure applied tightly on the bad knee of the "Heartbreak Kid", but Michaels somehow managed to reverse it after moments of struggling, Michaels twisting the ankle of Owen and then locking in that figure-four leglock again! Owen was screaming in agony, as Michaels did not know where he was - Owen trying with all of his might to break the hold or reverse it, but he couldn't - and Owen tapped out! "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (c) def. "The King of Harts" Owen Hart to retain the WWF Championship in the Final Encounter Submission match [23:39] ***1/2
The fans exploded in Omaha, as the theme of the "Heartbreak Kid" echoed through the Civic Center! Earl Hebner helped the "Showstopper" to his feet, as Shawn Michaels had just proven to the world that he didn't need the Sweet Chin Music to get the victory, that he could beat Owen Hart, that he was not a transitional champion! Hebner handed Michaels his World Wrestling Federation Champion, as Michaels still seemed to be completely out of it on his feet - Michaels also barely able to walk after such an unbearable battle, a test of endurance on the knee of the WWF Champion! Michaels' celebrated his win, but Vince McMahon continued to talk about what happened with "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel just moments ago, where Diesel attacked his supposed best friend! Michaels nonetheless had overcome all of the odds, all of the adversity from Camp Cornette and now Diesel, and as one door closes, another is waiting to be opened! Michaels celebrated with the fans in Omaha as WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes went off the air. | 01:54 |
| Dark Match - "The Bruiser" Riley O'Finley vs "The Native American" Tatanka [+00:02 for entrances] The "Bruiser" Riley O'Finley made his debut in the World Wrestling Federation a mere twenty four hours ago on WWF Saturday Morning Superstars, as the veteran of the European circuit was ready to meet an experienced veteran of the World Wrestling Federation, none other than the "Native American" Tatanka, and Tatanka started of with quite a head of steam, delivering chops and trying to outsmart Riley at every opportunity, but the egotistical yet aggressive O'Finley fired back, proving himself worthy of being a member of the WWF locker room with his combination of mat-wrestling abilities combined with his hard-hitting style, several stiff knees across the head of Tatanka against the apron taking place. O'Finley seemed to switch between being the submission specialist to being the broad hard-hitter, as O'Finley channeled several different skills in the ring. Tatanka soon began to mount a comeback, nailing the Tomohawk Chop and going for the Native American Drop, but that's when O'Finley fired out of it and connected with a shinbreaker, following up with the Irish Deathlock, pressure on the knee giving the newcomer the submission victory. | Dark Match - "Make A Difference" Fatu vs "The Mastodon" Vader (w/James E. Cornette) [+00:03 for entrances] Despite coming up on the short end of the stick earlier tonight at In Your House when his client Owen Hart fell at the hands of the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, James E. Cornette still had his undefeated client the "Mastodon" Vader to hopefully pick up another victory tonight against "Make A Difference" Fatu. Fatu has previously gotten under the skin of Vader numerous times, and here seemed to be the time and place for Fatu to get his hands on Vader, just twenty four hours before their climactic encounter on Monday Night RAW. Fatu seemed to adopt a more agile sense in this match though, as the 350-pound Samoan acted like a light-heavyweight compared the 450-pound "Mastodon", Fatu connecting with a large variation of chops and dives from the second and top rope, barely able to get Vader down three or four times in this match. Fatu was soon cut off by Vader's gruesome offense, as Vader soon began to slug it out with "Make A Difference", the recently revealed cousin of long-time rival of Vader's, the "Mighty" Yokozuna. Vader slugged it out with Fatu, but Fatu's diehard Samoan spirit shone through, fighting back, and Fatu was rolling with a big shoulder tackle stunning Vader - a second one delivered from the top rope taking Vader down! Fatu went up for the Samoan Splash, reminiscent of his uncle Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, but missed, and the fall winded "Make A Difference", leading to a decisive victory by Vader, who connected with the Vader Bomb in the corner, giving the "Mastodon" another victory. | Dark Match - Mankind vs The Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer [+00:04 for entrances] This was a well known rivalry between the Undertaker and the deranged one Mankind, former childhood friends, turned blood enemies thanks to what is according to Mankind, thanks to the Undertaker's neglectful, selfish attitude growing up. Mankind recently assaulted the "Phenom" on Monday Night RAW earlier this month, and since then the Undertaker has not appeared on television, bringing us to this dark match following In Your House, twenty-four hours ahead of the "Phenom"'s long awaited return to Monday Night RAW. Mankind started off strong against the "Deadman", axe handling Undertaker and taking him to the limit with thunderous lefts and rights, even a spinebuster thrown in there as well. The deranged one was pulling his hair out and cradling Undertaker as he held him tightly in the sleeper hold - but the Undertaker soon fired back in a really big way, a DDT almost laying Mankind out, but nothing seemed to stop the deranged one. Mankind was obsessed with Paul Bearer throughout, and whenever he had the "Deadman" down for a cover, he decided to pursue Bearer - but that was his downfall, as Undertaker would sit up and chase Mankind from behind eerily repeatedly. Undertaker was in a bad way especially, as Mankind nailed him with a double-underhook DDT for a near fall, and then a top rope elbow drop from Mankind also almost gave the unknown sadist the victory - Mankind proving that he would do anything to be the better man tonight. However soon Undertaker came back to life and fought back, the two bringing the fight to ringside, where Mankind suddenly walloped Undertaker with a steel chair to the spine! After the match, Mankind tried to resume the beatdown with the steel chair in the ring, just for Undertaker to intersect with a Tombstone Piledriver from the deranged Mankind! The Undertaker def. Mankind by disqualification [10:25] |

Surprised this hasn't had a bit more love. Lot of effort has been put into it and it was a good read.
I've been enjoying this a lot more since Mania and you've got a few good things in the works.
You missed some text at the end of the free for all.
Good win for Austin.
Liked the opener with Roberts and Waltman, Roberts was really protected and now will go into a rivalry with Lawler which will be fun.
Wasn't a fan of the Ramon/Goldust bein split up that was a lot of text for 4 minutes.
Big win for Bulldog sets him up for a future title shot but not the next title shot because still think that will go to Diesel, expect shenanigans in the Main Event and Diesel can put HBK over on the way out.
Main Event was very good had a lot going on at the end but I enjoyed it and it set up the predictable Diesel turn. Buts that's fine.
Good show like the dark match touch also,

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, April 29, 1996
- While morale was up following In Your House last night, there are several pitfalls for the World Wrestling Federation following it. During the main event, Owen Hart suffered a torn rotatory cuff and will miss two months of action. Additionally, Shawn Michaels suffered a minor concussion. This comes at a horrible time for the WWF, with the competition reaching a whole new level with the advancing World Championship Wrestling. Nitro has defeated RAW several weeks in a row now with the expansion of Monday Nitro, filming it live and expanding unthinkably to a two hour timeslot next month, as well as having more star power whilst WCW also try to pursue signing various WWF talents to contracts. While Owen's injury is unavoidable, Shawn Michaels will allegedly still appear at the RAW tapings tonight leading up to May's In Your House - though it is undetermined in what capacity, or how limited a capacity he will be in. The WWF do not want to jeopardize their new top talent being injured, nonetheless a WWF Champion with their previous top tier talents Diesel leaving for WCW in June, and Bret Hart having walked out on the WWF.
- There are conflicting rumours of the Bodydonnas being split up or given a push. Road agents are high on the work ethic of Skip and feel that he would benefit more as a singles competitor, but at the same time with the World Wrestling Federation being low on tag teams for its division, there is talk of turning them face and having them chase the WWF Tag Team Championships. Meanwhile Skip has become a target in the eyes of the Kliq members (Shawn Michaels, Diesel, Razor Ramon, Sean Waltman and Hunter Hearst Helmsley), and his future is also unknown. Sunny is apparently seen as more valuable an asset than both Bodydonnas in the eyes of management - believing her to be the official sex symbol for the WWF.
- Jim Neidhart, former WWF Tag Team Champion with Bret Hart and previous mid-tier talent on WWF television was backstage last night at In Your House. It could be that Neidhart is looking for another job with the World Wrestling Federation.
- The buyrate for the 1996 Royal Rumble came in at 190,000 buys, which is below last year's which reached 225,000 homes. Meanwhile February's In Your House received 160,000, which is well above December's In Your House which came in at 120,000 buys. Preliminary buyrates for WrestleMania XII are resting around the 300,000 mark, which is slightly below last year's which came in at 350,000 buys.
- The go home edition of Monday Night RAW prior to In Your House came in at a 3.6 rating, equal to last week's. Meanwhile WCW Monday Nitro drew a 3.8 rating. Ratings evidently stayed steady this week.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 4/22/1996. In results from the show: - Shawn Michaels & Diesel def. The British Bulldog & Owen Hart by disqualification - Goldust def. Tatanka - Sean Waltman & Steve Austin def. Jake Roberts & Savio Vega
- WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes was live on pay-per-view on 4/28/1996. The results are as follows: - Shawn Michaels def. Owen Hart for the WWF Championship in a Submission match. - Razor Ramon def. Goldust in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl. - The British Bulldog def. Diesel - The Ultimate Warrior def. Hunter Hearst Helmsley by disqualification - Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas def. The Godwinns to retain the WWF Tag Team Championship. - Sean Waltman def. Jake Roberts to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
- WWF In Your House is live on pay-per-view on 5/26/1996. The card is as follows: - Shawn Michaels vs Diesel for the WWF Championship. (spec.) - The Undertaker vs Mankind. (spec.) - The Ultimate Warrior vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a no-disqualification match. (spec.)

In Your House time, We got the free for all PPV with Steve Austin and Savio Vega, good win for the Texas Rattlesnake defeating Savio Vega, and we get the actual card right now, Sean Waltman successfully defends his title against Roberts and Roberts is reunited with his snake, loved the way you said Waltman provocatively played with his snake too lol, Goldust and Razor fighting in the backlot and throughout the ring, a great win for Razor. I'm wondering if you're going to go with the same route with Razor and Diesel leaving for WCW. Jarrett and Douglas are still the champions against The Godwinns, I wonder who will take the belts off of them. Warrior and Helmsley was fine, nothing good but it was an okay match, I'm wondering if you're going to give Warrior a championship and maybe let him stay a little bit longer until late 96 or early 97, I'd love to see him have one more run at the World Wrestling Federation Championship, Bulldog shockingly defeats Diesel, well it wasn't shocking due to intereference by Clarence Mason. uh oh Diesel's temper has ensued once again, I'm wondering if wer'e going to see Diesel turn heel once again. Michaels vs Owen was a perfect main event for the WWF Championship. It was a great match with all the intereferences from Bulldog and Diesel, Diesel turning on Shawn was very epic, but despite all that Shawn beats Owen to retain the title and I'm surprised this match was a submission match too, allright the dark matches. Good win for Finley against Tatanka, and a nice win for Vader too against Fatu, followed by the rivalry between Undertaker and Mankind, which I have to applaud you for this rivalry and letting it go earlier before Mankind's debut at the time in April. Can't wait for your next installment of this diary, now with Shawn beating Owen, who's next to face Shawn for the title, i'll have to go on a limb and say Diesel. Maybe it will most likely lead to a retirement match between Diesel and Shawn, or something like if Diesel loses the match, he will leave the World Wrestling Federation. I would love to see a loser leaves town match between Diesel and Shawn Michaels. Great IYH Card, loved the show. Keep it going.

Alright, In Your House! Lets... do... this? Shawn Michaels being attacked by the British Bulldog is a big way to kick things off here on the Free 4-All, definitely makes for something interesting later on with it. Stone Cold Steve Austin beating Savio Vega on the Free 4-All is the best choice, obviously, as Austin needs it for his inevitable rise to stardom. ALRIGHT! LETS GO WITH THE ACTUAL IN YOUR HOUSE! A good effort from the veteran Jake Roberts, only to come up short to Sean Waltman thanks to Jerry Lawler. Nice post-match interaction with the snake. Goldust and Razor Ramon in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl, to be continued after going backstage. Huh. We'll see what happens later, I guess. Good to see Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas retain the title belts over The Godwinns, glad to see it because I just don't care nor ever have really cared for the Godwinns. Goldust vs Razor Ramon, part two! Once again, we have to deal with it being continued. Damn it, Daniel. Next up, Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs Ultimate Warrior. SPEAK TO ME, DISQUALIFICATION! A quick puss-out from the Blue Blood, but it should lead to another match between the two I'd assume especially with the retaliation from Warrior after the match. British Bulldog vs Diesel, a good match between these two here obviously with the stuff going on with them along with Michaels and Owen makes this personal. Seeing the Bulldog get the win, especially in the way he did it, was enjoyable. It does make me believe that Michaels for sure now will overcome his injury and win later, though. FINALLY we get the end of the Goldust vs Razor Ramon saga. Bah gawd, bra and panties on Goldy! WE DON'T NEED TO SEE THAT, DAMN IT! Ramon winning though, thankfully. Finally, the huge main event between Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart with the Heart Break Kid overcoming his injury and getting Owen to tap out to the figure four! A good In Your House show overall with all of the results being relatively satisfying. The dark matches were fine to see, with Riley O'Finley winning in his debut and Vader getting the win over Fatu. Of course, the Makind vs Undertaker was the most worth seeing in the dark matches even though it went to a disqualification.

Ah, I remember the Free-4-Alls. Steve Austin and Savio Vega always had great chemistry, I would've liked to see this on the main show but I get that Austin might not have been as big as "Stone Cold" just yet. Love the callback to Owen Hart nearly ending Shawn Michaels' career during the opening promo. I don't know if I mentioned this before but I really like Sean Waltman as the Intercontinental Champion. He was really good in the mid-90s. Jake Roberts standing on top at the end made sense though. The original Backlot Brawl was fun and I enjoyed reading this one with Razor Ramon instead of Goldust. Interesting to have it continue as it did in real life, but differently without the car chase. I still love Agent Dean Douglas and Double J as a tag team so I'm glad they retained. I hope they get a long run with the straps. Trapping Goldust in the revolving door was a fun move and another to be continued. Wise way to end Hunter Hearst-Hemsley against Ultimate Warrior. Keeps Warrior strong and HHH doesn't look bad. I would've rather Warrior not stand tall though as he could do well with at least a small show of weakness. British Bulldog and Diesel is a match I felt could be a lot better than their initial title match at In Your House 4 and this sounded like it was it. Bulldog winning through nefarious ways is fine. I'd like to see him challenge Shawn Michaels soon. Goldust wearing ladies underwear is something I'm glad you kept because it's such a memorable thing. Razor winning is good and I feel like the potential main event scene is great right now. Michaels, Razor, Diesel, Bulldog, Owen, Warrior, Bret when he returns, Undertaker, Mankind and Vader. Wow. Diesel and Bulldog getting involved made sense. Whoa, Diesel attacking HBK was a bit surprising. I'm thinking he's not in Camp Cornette but just wants a shot at the gold. Owen submitting to the Figure Four worked and that was a very good main event. I have zero clue who Riley O'Finley is. Is it Finlay? Vader winning was clear. Undertaker and Mankind ending in a disqualification is fine as it was a dark match. Overall, a very good Pay-Per-View and I'm excited for what's next based off of your awesome main event possibilities.

WWF Monday Night RAW - April 29, 1996 The Municipal Auditorium - Sioux City, IA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | Several stills of In Your House: Bad Attitudes aired, as Jim Ross narrated the main happenings of last night's pay-per-view event, where it was the final encounter between the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and the "King of Harts" Owen Hart, a submission match with the WWF Championship - but it didn't start there, as early in the night, the British Bulldog assaulted Shawn Michaels with a wrench, injuring his knee, but in a miraculous comeback, the WWF Champion decided to go through with the gruesome submission match anyway; but not before the British Bulldog battled "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, a hard-fought match, which Bulldog would win thanks to the returning crooked lawyer of Camp Cornette, Clarence Mason. Diesel snapped after the bell and left in disappointment. Later on, Shawn and Owen battled in one of the most gripping matches the WWF Championship has ever seen, but just as Shawn was thought to get the win, out came Camp Cornette - and who to save HBK? None other than Diesel, who suddenly shocked the world when he gave Michaels a Jackknife Powerbomb and left him for dead! But in the end, Michaels was victorious, still the WWF Champion! The opening video package aired for Monday Night RAW, as we cut to the Municipal Auditorium for a live edition of Monday Night RAW, as Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcomed us to RAW, the fallout of In Your House! They discussed occurrences from last night's event, before talking about what was coming up tonight, as the Undertaker makes his anticipated return to speak out against Mankind!; Plus, "Make A Difference" Fatu issued the challenge to Vader, and the "Mastodon" accepted, scheduled for one-on-one action tonight!; But not just that, as Ahmed Johnson will take on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin; And "Double J" Jeff Jarrett apparently is scheduled to give a blockbuster announcement! Plus, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel is in the building! | 00:03 | 2 | "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson def. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (w/Ted Dibiase) [07:33] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:02 for aftermath] This was the first time we'd seen Ahmed Johnson on RAW in several weeks, as he has apparently been at home injured with an arm injury, but the "Pearl River Powerhouse" had not missed a step or suffered any ring rust in that time period, as he went into this match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin full of energy, powering Austin over in the opening moments, and Ahmed would remain that way as he had "Stone Cold" reeling on the outside in no time - and when that happened, Ahmed dove over the top rope with a plancha, surprising everyone in Sioux City! Ahmed was full of it, and it seemed as if nobody could stop him - except from the sinister "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase of course! Dibiase caught Johnson's eye, and Austin immediately dove at Ahmed, pounding away at him and trying to get the previously undefeated Johnson counted out - but nothing could stop the powerhouse. As Austin had Ahmed trapped in a sleeper hold, Ahmed suddenly sprung back to life and fought back, Johnson nailing Austin with a powerslam, followed up by a big clothesline - and Johnson was rolling as Austin was groggy, Ahmed taking Austin for a ride with the Pearl River Plunge for the victory!
The fans cheered in ovation for the "Pearl River Powerhouse", as Ahmed Johnson celebrated his victory tonight on Monday Night RAW - that is until the WWF Intercontinental Champion rushed down to the ring and kicked Johnson's head off with the 1-2-3 Kick! Johnson was down to a knee, and the Kid followed up with a second 1-2-3 Kick, sending Ahmed down! The fans booed as Waltman and Steve Austin then started to stomp away on Ahmed, the "Million Dollar Man" stood in the background, a look of approval on his face - when suddenly a familiar face jumped the guard rail and hit the ring, none other than Marc Mero! Vince McMahon acknowledged Mero from a "rival organization", as Mero clotheslined Austin, before giving him a big fireman's carry slam, sending "Stone Cold" to the canvas face first! Mero then slugged Sean Waltman, laying the WWF Intercontinental Champion down and out with one big right hand punch! Mero attended to Ahmed Johnson, as the fans went crazy in Sioux City, Dibiase trying to revive Waltman! Mero celebrated with a groggy Ahmed Johnson, as the Million Dollar Corporation were just clobbered by the newcomer Mero! | 00:14 | 3 | An advertisement aired, promoting the encore presentation of last night's pay-per-view event, WWF In Your House: Bad Attitudes. | 00:15 | - | Commercial Break | 00:18 | 4 | Back from the commercial break, Dok Hendrix was in disarray backstage, as Hendrix talked about how Sean Waltman was out on his feet after what just occurred with Marc Mero making the rescue for Ahmed Johnson! Suddenly, the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase came onto the scene with a dazed Waltman draped over his shoulder, as Dibiase and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin were livid about the whole ordeal! When asked for comments, Austin asked what that was all about, what Mero was about, and who he thought he was! Austin talked about how they are the Million Dollar Corporation, they are Mero's superior - and what they did to Ahmed was everything he had coming to him! Dibiase then followed up, stating that he laid out the WWF Intercontinental Champion, that Mero needed to know his role because he was a rookie and he just laid out a veteran like Waltman! Meanwhile Sean murmured that he wanted to go to bed, as the Corporation's leathers had been ruffled by Marc Mero's presence! | 00:19 | 5 | Vince McMahon talked about the shocker of the night maybe happening already, as Marc Mero had just made his debut with the World Wrestling Federation, jumping ship from "down south", and taking out the WWF Intercontinental Champion to make the save for Ahmed Johnson! Jerry Lawler said that what just happened to Sean Waltman and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was assault, and that Mero should definitely be reprimanded for his actions. McMahon hoped that by the end of the hour we would be able to get a few words from Mero explaining his actions. | 00:19 | 6 | The theme of "Double J" Jeff Jarrett suddenly hit to loud boos, as the WWF Tag Team Champions suddenly strutted their way out to the ring, Jarrett and his Agent Dean Douglas especially arrogant tonight after they were able to defeat the Godwinns last night to successfully retain their WWF Tag Team Championships. Jarrett and Douglas walked down to the ring where Jim Ross was standing, as Ross talked about how Jarrett apparently had a blockbuster announcement to make tonight, wanting Jeff to spread the word to the fans at home and everyone in attendance. Jarrett said that he has great news, because they are the WWF Tag Team Champions, they were the WWF Tag Team Champions - and they still are the WWF Tag Team Champions, too! Jarrett talked about how they are the best damn tag team in the World Wrestling Federation today, and they deserve to be - they've sold millions of records worldwide with his hits "With My Baby Tonight" and "Hearts of Gold", which is why he wanted tonight to be special, because he was premiering the official music video for his new hit single "Southern Blues". Suddenly, we were taken to the music video for this single, featuring clips of Jarrett and Douglas celebrating with the WWF Tag Team Championships, of Jarrett and Douglas competing and retaining the title on numerous occasions, whilst Jarrett sang into a microphone under a spotlight about how tough it was to be a southerner. Returning live to the Municipal Auditorium, the fans were booing loudly at the obnoxiousness of Jarrett! Jeff and Dean were soaking up the degrees of heat in this building, as Jarrett arrogantly added that next week they would be issuing a challenge to any tag teams inside or outside of the World Wrestling Federation - to knock them off in non-title action. If they win, they get a shot at the WWF Tag Team Championships! Jarrett laughed, as the pair began to leave, Vince McMahon pointing out how obnoxious that display was, Jerry Lawler meanwhile loving it! | 00:24 | 7 | An insert promo aired with James E. Cornette, as Cornette talked about how upsetting it is that someone like "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel could get in Camp Cornette's way of victory, when Owen Hart was coming so close to winning the World Wrestling Federation Championship - he came out and injured the "King of Harts"! Cornette said how Owen may not be able to compete again for another month, and it's all thanks to "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel - not that coward, Shawn Michaels! Cornette then talked about how it was going to be alright, because the British Bulldog won last night, and they got their lawyer back, Clarence Mason! Jim continued, talking about how tonight will follow the same old luck for Camp Cornette, perfection all of the way - because "Make A Difference" Fatu will regret the day he ever tried to make a difference and go up against his "Mastodon" Vader! | 00:25 | 8 | Static was shown, as we suddenly cut to footage of Paul Bearer stood down a dark corridor next to a dark figure, as Bearer gasped that he was coming! Thunder struck, as the camera panned up to reveal the Undertaker - he said that "there is no rest for the weak". Static struck again, the Undertaker scheduled to return tonight on RAW! | 00:25 |
| Commercial Break | 00:28 | 9 | An advertismement aired, promoting the WWF Hotline with Jim Ross. | 00:29 | 10 | The Ultimate Warrior def. The Brooklyn Brawler [00:28] [+00:01 for Warrior's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] Last night, the Ultimate Warrior was thought to have a big match-up lined up with Hunter Hearst Helmsley, the "Blue Blood" at In Your House - but that would not be the case, as Helmsley seemed to change his mind about the match, and instead decided to assault the Warrior with a steel chair, just for the former WWF Champion to become enraged, and Warrior left Helmsley lying unconscious on the canvas. The Warrior was in action tonight on RAW, and he was hot as he cleared house of the Brooklyn Brawler, a fellow veteran of the WWF locker room - but the Warrior simply gorilla pressed Brawler and followed up with the big splash across the back, giving Warrior a quick victory!
The fans cheered as the Ultimate Warrior celebrated his win in record fashion, but that's when the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley strutted out onto the aisleway, Helmsley armed with an alarmed Elizabeth Hilden! Warrior snarled and looked Hunter dead in the eyes, as Helmsley asked Warrior if he wanted a piece of him, Helmsley trying to provoke the Warrior - but the Warrior stayed still, continuing to growl at the "Blue Blood" - Vince McMahon anticipated that a rematch between the two was certainly incoming. | 00:32 | 11 | Meanwhile, Vince McMahon suddenly informed us that while "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel was in the building earlier tonight, he is not here anymore! McMahon talked about how Diesel has gone AWOL, and that instead they have Diesel on the phone to hopefully give us an explanation for turning his back on the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels last night at In Your House, and why he left the building knowing he had a scheduled interview tonight on RAW! Diesel said that firstly, he doesn't have to explain anything to anyone, that he does as he pleases, and nothing can stop him because he's reached the boiling point now. Diesel said that all will be revealed next week, but that Shawn Michaels deserved to get his ass kicked. Diesel then hung up, leaving McMahon confused. | 00:33 | 12 | In the backstage area, Dok Hendrix had finally caught up with the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson, as Johnson was stood icing his shoulder next to the debuting Marc Mero, as Hendrix wanted to ask Mero about his impactful debut earlier tonight, the newcomer taking out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and pretty much knocking the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman out on his feet! Ahmed said that the Million Dollar Corporation were always going to try and target Johnson, because they wish they were everything he is - so he enlisted the help of an old friend. Mero said that he has arrived in the World Wrestling Federation, that he is alive once again, and that he's been watching precariously for so long at the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase - and he doesn't like what he sees! Mero said that people call him the "Wild Man", and it's all for a very good reason - because he's wild, he is fearless, and what he did is a sign of things to come! Mero promised to wipe out the Million Dollar Corporation.
| 00:34 |
| Commercial Break | 00:37 | 13 | "The Mastodon" Vader (w/James E. Cornette & Clarence Mason) def. "Make A Difference" Fatu [08:14] [+00:01 for Vader's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] "Make A Difference" Fatu has been a thorn in the "Mastodon"s side in recent weeks, dating as far back as WrestleMania XII - Fatu has proven that he is here to make a point, to stand up for what is right and that is saving Vader's victims from a potentially fatal beating. In the past month Vader has taken Bret "Hitman" Hart and Fatu's cousin Yokozuna out of the World Wrestling Federation with his dangerous nature, but Fatu came to play and that showed tonight, as Fatu jumped Vader during his entrance, trying to one-up Vader in his own environment, as Fatu fired away at Vader with numerous lefts and rights, just trying to harm the beast before the bell even sounded. The bell did sound, but Vader soon started to fight back, using his bear like paws to pound away at Fatu in the corner, as James E. Cornette pleaded to cripple the former Headshrinker. Vader got Fatu over his shoulder with a backbreaking hold, but with the fans in Sioux City firmly behind him, the "Mastodon"s grip loosened and Fatu broke free, and Fatu managed to knock Vader off of his feet with a stiff Samoan Shuffle Kick! Fatu was rolling, as he kept Vader off of his feet, "Make A Difference" doing whatever he can to keep Vader down, and Fatu began to climb up to the top rope for the Samoan Splash, but Cornette grabbed Fatu's foot, tripping "Make A Difference"! Fatu flipped off of the top rope onto the canvas, and that allowed Vader to go up to the top rope, the "Mastodon" coming off with a Vadersault! Fatu was done, courtesy of the man they call Vader!
Vader's hand was raised in victory, as the fans booed in reaction to James E. Cornette's obvious assistance in the "Mastodon"'s win. Vince McMahon spoke of the good effort Fatu tried to make in this match, but the numbers game outnumbered "Make A Difference" - but Fatu made Vader look mortal in this match. Following the bell, James E. Cornette ordered Vader to decapitate Fatu, much like he did to Fatu's cousin Yokozuna - as Cornette propped Fatu's leg over the bottom rope as Vader climbed the ropes again for the leg-breaking Vader Bomb, but Fatu kicked Cornette into the guard rail! Vader was on the second rope, but Fatu rolled out of the way just in time! Vader landed on the canvas, as Fatu tried to pound away on the "Mastodon" before Vader fled with Cornette and Clarence Mason! Fatu was proving that he was not a one dimensional star willing to make way for Vader tonight! | 00:47 | 14 | We went to Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler on commentary, as McMahon talked about what a show it had been tonight live on RAW, before promoting next week's edition of Monday Night RAW, as "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel has confirmed that he WILL be on RAW, in the same building as the WWF Champion, Shawn Michaels - Michaels surely hot after Diesel turned on him at In Your House! Plus, the British Bulldog goes battle with "Make A Difference" Fatu; Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas start their open challenge open to any tag team in the world today; and Mankind makes his official debut - what a huge edition of RAW it will be next Monday from 8:57/7:57 CT, only on the USA Network! McMahon then talked about what was coming up next, as the Undertaker makes his return to RAW after a month's absence, he's coming up after the final commercial break. | 00:48 | - | Commercial Break | 00:51 | 15 | The gong was heard, as the theme of the Undertaker soon followed - with that the "Phenom" emerged into the Municipal Auditorium for our main event of this edition of RAW, the Undertaker accompanied by Paul Bearer coming out to address what happened one month ago. A replay aired reviewing what went down, as Mankind assaulted the Undertaker on April 1, where Mankind laid into the Undertaker with a baseball bat, leaving 'Taker out cold: and nobody has seen the Undertaker since. The fearsome duo got into the ring as the fans cheered loudly, the Undertaker speaking out about how nobody has taken him to the extremes that Mankind has, Mankind is a figure of the past that is resilient enough to keep coming back for more - and the "Phenom" does not appreciate it. The Undertaker talked out some names that he has put away over the years, Kamala, Giant Gonzalez, King Kong Bundy - but none of them have compared to the fight of this maniacal creature. He talked about how he fought hard to put Mankind back in the past where he belonged, at WrestleMania XII - Mankind has tried to expose what the Undertaker is, but the truth is no matter what the deranged one can do, nothing can expose the Undertaker. The Undertaker spoke out about how Mankind assaulted him, he's played mind games with him, and the fact remains that nothing will stop the Undertaker, and nothing will harm the legacy of the Undertaker either. The Undertaker then proceeded to call Mankind out to the ring for a showdown. The fans erupted, as he looked up at the entrance way, Paul Bearer now seemingly startled by Undertaker's request, as suddenly the methodical sound of Mankind's eerie music played, but Mankind did not show up in the building - instead showing up on the big screen! Mankind laughed hauntingly, pulling his hair out bit by bit, as the deranged one spoke about how he is feeling, how he has not slept since he assaulted the Undertaker - because it felt good to see the excruciating pain on Mark's face as the baseball bat slammed down against his spine, off his skull, damaging that immortal brain of his. Mankind said he liked the taste of blood, he liked the feeling of pain - and he just wanted to share it with the Undertaker! Mankind said that he has been ruined by Mark, and the disruption in their past friendship is because of Mark's evil mind! Mankind revealed that he burned Undertaker's house to the ground, that Mark is an arsonist, and he must be stopped! Mankind then said that he has a way to settle this once and for all, and it doesn't involve coming out to that ring tonight - it doesn't involve coming to fierce blows with the Undertaker and putting him in a casket like he did a month ago: it involves Paul Bearer! Mankind screeched, as Paul looked startled; Mankind issuing a challenge to the Undertaker for In Your House on May 26, for Mankind to put his body on the line for a match with both the Undertaker, and Paul Bearer! The deranged one said he has someone in mind to stand in his corner too, speaking of who brought him to the dance, who brought him back from the past, and that's when the camera panned out from Mankind's disfigured face behind the leather - sided by none other than Waylon Mercy! Mercy laughed as he sat beside Mankind with his arm around him, Mercy speaking in riddles, as he said that to destroy the Undertaker once and for all will be his favourite. Mercy and Mankind were in cohoots all along, and all as an elaborate plan to exterminate the Undertaker and Paul Bearer! Monday Night RAW prematurely went off the air as Undertaker and Paul Bearer looked shocked, a match made for In Your House! | 00:59 |
| NEXT WEEK: "BIG DADDY COOL" DIESEL EXPLAINS HIS ACTIONS WITH SHAWN MICHAELS IN ATTENDANCE; THE BRITISH BULLDOG DOES BATTLE WITH "MAKE A DIFFERENCE" FATU; MANKIND MAKES HIS RAW DEBUT; PLUS RILEY O'FINLEY DEBUTS ON RAW; JEFF JARRETT AND DEAN DOUGLAS BEGIN THEIR OPEN CHALLENGE; AND PART ONE OF A SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW WITH JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS! |

WWF Superstars - May 4, 1996 The Veterans Memorial Auditorium - Des Moines, IA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | The opening video package for WWF Saturday Morning Superstars aired, as we cut to the Veterans Memorial Auditorium for the first edition of Superstars following WWF In Your House last Sunday night. Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix welcomed us to the show, as they talked about how big an event In Your House was, before addressing what was coming up in this hour, as the "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley is scheduled to take on the "Native American" Tatanka; the Godwinns are scheduled for competition with the Bodydonnas; and in our main event, the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon will take on Jerry "The King" Lawler! All of this, plus Jake "The Snake" Roberts and the New Rockers are scheduled for action in this hour! | 00:02 | 2 | Jake "The Snake" Roberts (w/Revelations) def. Derrick Stone [02:45] [+00:01 for Roberts' entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] The resurrected veteran of the World Wrestling Federation Jake "The Snake" Roberts may have come up on the short end of the stick last Sunday at In Your House in pursuing the WWF Intercontinental Championship, but he managed to gain retribution on Sean Waltman and the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase as he regained possession of his pet Anaconda, Revelations, and Roberts was building a new set of momentum starting here. Roberts was taking care of Derrick Stone to kick things off this morning on Saturday Morning Superstars, but half way through the match, out came Jerry "The King" Lawler. The man that cost Roberts the WWF Intercontinental Championship and the man that has been a vocal critic of Roberts came out to the ringside area with a microphone, as Lawler told age jokes about Jake and called him a pathetic, old hasbeen - which grew the ire of Roberts, to fueled his rage, as Roberts quickly after put an end to Stone with the DDT!
Jake "The Snake" Roberts was hot after his victory, as the fans cheered, but Jerry Lawler was sarcastic to comment on Roberts' win. Lawler told Jake that he was pathetic, that he was past his prime, and that his demons will always ruin the legacy of Jake "The Snake"! Jake was getting angrier and angrier with the "King", as Jake quickly picked up Revelations and tried to chase Lawler, causing Lawler to race up the aisleway in fear, telling Jake that he had won this round! | 00:07 | 3 | Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix agreed that Jerry Lawler has been completely unprofessional in recent months towards the respected veteran Jake "The Snake" Roberts, as Ross declared that the "King" would definitely have to sleep with one eye open - especially when he is scheduled for battle with the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon later on in this hour. Ross and Hendrix then talked about why Ramon is full of momentum, echoing Ramon's claims to chase the World Wrestling Federation Championship after getting the "Bizarre One" Goldust out of the way - noting that nobody had seen Goldust since his humiliation last Sunday night, airing several stills of the adventurous, chaotic Hollywood Backlot Brawl from In Your House - which ended with Ramon rendering Goldust unconscious wearing nothing but women's lingerie! | 00:08 | 4 | We went to an promo with the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon, who was stood in front of his logo - Ramon talking about how Goldust has been eliminated from his life - how the "Bizarre One" put him through several months of agonizing doubt and certainly pain, but that the "Bizarre One"s oozing machismo was no match for the oozing machismo of the "Bad Guy". Razor talked about how it is now time to recover the time he spent dealing with Goldust, because now, the "Bad Guy" begins his quest for the WWF Championship - and it starts with Jerry "The King" Lawler! | 00:09 | - | Commercial Break | 00:13 | 5 |
"The Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Elizabeth Hilden) def. "The Native American" Tatanka [06:32] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Hunter Hearst Helmsley has tried to make an impact in the World Wrestling Federation in recent weeks, calling out the Ultimate Warrior, the former WWF Champion. However when push came to shove, Helmsley squared off with the Warrior at In Your House last Sunday night, and when the Greenwich "Blue Blood" couldn't get the job done, he got himself disqualified instead - just to get laid out. Helmsley furthered this feud with Warrior last Monday night on RAW when he came out to stalk the Warrior during his match, but this morning on Superstars, he had a tough cookie to crumble in the "Native American" Tatanka. Tatanka took down the "Blue Blood" with several Tomohawk Chops in the opening moments of this match, but soon Tatanka found himself on the receiving end of a spontaneous spinebuster, and the "Blue Blood" began to show a new found aggressive side, perhaps infatuated by the bout with the Ultimate Warrior. Helmsley held Tatanka down with a sleeper hold - but the "Native American" soon came back to life and tried to take Helmsley down, just for Hunter to fight back, dropping Tatanka with a concluding Pedigree, giving Helmsley the victory!
The crowd booed as the "Blue Blood" obnoxiously curtsyed to the fans in Des Moines, Hunter Hearst Helmsley being joined on his arm by his valet, Elizabeth Hilden - before Jim Ross got into the ring and asked for a few comments from Hunter given his recent activity regarding the Ultimate Warrior. Helmsley stated that he may not have gotten the job done last Sunday when he took on the Ultimate Warrior, but the Warrior made it all the more personal when he set his hands on the beautiful Elizabeth Hilden - the Warrior is a sick, twisted misogynistic beast, and that the "Blue Blood" will not rest until the beast that is the Ultimate Warrior has been put done! Helmsley continued his celebration with Hilden, as the fans booed. | 00:22 | 6 | The WWF Slam of the Week aired, as it reviewed last Monday night on RAW when the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson managed to defeat "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, but after the bell Ahmed found himself the recipient of a beatdown at the hands of the Million Dollar Corporation - when Marc Mero made his debut for the World Wrestling Federation, making the save for Johnson out of nowhere, knocking out the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman! | 00:23 | 7 | A promo aired with the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase alongside "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman, as Dibiase said that Ahmed Johnson had everything coming to him last Monday night, he found himself at the end of a deserved beatdown, and then this no-name hack called Marc Mero got involved, without authority taking out Steve Austin, and worst of all, he knocked out the best rising star in the World Wrestling Federation today, Sean Waltman. Waltman uttered that he couldn't believe what happened, he was knocked out by this lunatic! Waltman said that he may have broken his jaw thanks to Mero, and thanks to him, he refuses to ever get in the ring with that mad man ever again! Austin chimed in, talking about how Mero wants to mess with the Million Dollar Corporation, and he sure as hell doesn't think it's a good idea. Austin said that they are two of the baddest men on the planet, and that nobody should have the audacity to mess with the Million Dollar Corporation - which is why now, the next time Mero is on one side of the ring, he can expect a beating of a lifetime, courtesy of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin! | 00:24 | 8 | The New Rockers def. Tony Roy & Brian Walsh [03:47] [+00:01 for New Rockers' entrance] Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy have been rolling as a tag team since forming, since Jannetty recruited Cassidy several weeks ago. The New Rockers tested their chemistry further during this match with Tony Roy and Brian Walsh, as Jannetty and Cassidy double-teamed Roy in the early moments of this match, the fans cheering for the newly formed New Rockers, but Dok Hendrix on commentary disputed whether the New Rockers would have the same, lasting effect that the original Rockers had, whether Cassidy could fill the boots of the now WWF Champion Shawn Michaels. Jannetty took care of Brian Walsh, landing him with the Rocker Dropper, as Leif Cassidy meanwhile went to the top rope and came off with a big moonsault, giving this tag team another victory. In an insert promo, the New Rockers discussed their options in the tag team division, Leif Cassidy noting how excited he was to be a part of a tag team known for their high-flying chicanery! Jannetty told Cassidy to calm down, talking about how he needs to understand that they are quickly becoming one of the fastest rising tag teams in WWF history, and who knows, maybe one day very soon they will become the WWF Tag Team Champions. Cassidy acted giddy, as Jannetty told the rookie to keep focused.
The fans cheered as the New Rockers celebrated their victory, Leif Cassidy celebrating like he had just won the Olympics whilst Marty Jannetty treat it in a more sophisticated manner. Meanwhile, the Bodydonnas were shown watching from a monitor in disgust, as Skip and Zip were scheduled for action with the Godwinns - accompanied by the ever luscious Sunny, next! | 00:29 |
| Commercial Break | 00:33 | 9 | The Bodydonnas (w/Sunny) def. The Godwinns (w/Hillbilly Jim) [07:48] [+00:02 for entrances] Two promising tag teams took the ring for this one, as Henry and Phineas Godwinn were determined to regain some momentum after coming up short of winning the WWF Tag Team Championships last Sunday at In Your House, but they were going up against two up-and-comers in Skip and Zip of the Bodydonnas. Sunny had the fans in Des Moines in awe of her beauty, as Sunny repeatedly tried to flirt with Hillbilly Jim at ringside, just for Jim to become slightly freaked out over it. The larger Henry O. Godwinn managed to power Zip around the ring in the opening moments, gorilla pressing Zip across the ring and double-teaming poor Zip with his brother, Phineas. The Godwinns were getting set up for the Slop Drop, but Sunny got on the apron and caught the attention of Phineas, which distracted Phineas long enough for Zip to break out of the Slop Drop from Henry and get the tag to Skip. Skip and Zip sent Henry out of the ring with a double dropkick, before catching Phineas off-guard with a double backdrop, both of them bridging for extra leverage, the Bodydonnas impressively stealing one!
The crowd booed as Skip and Zip celebrated their victory over a confused Phineas I. Godwinn, the Bodydonnas then being joined in the ring by their seductive manager Sunny, who appeared as a cheerleader for the Bodydonnas! Meanwhile Henry O. Godwinn and Hillbilly Jim attended to Phineas, who seemed quite vexed about this loss to the Bodydonnas after being a viable threat to the WWF Tag Team Championships previously. | 00:43 | 10 | We went to Todd Pettingill for the WWF In Your House report, as Pettingill talked about how In Your House: Bad Attitudes last Sunday night was a great show, and ran down some of the key events, such as Shawn Michaels overcoming all of the odds and retaining the WWF Championship against Owen Hart; Razor Ramon getting Goldust out of his hair once and for all in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl; and the British Bulldog getting an upset victory against "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel. Pettingill then talked about the next In Your House on May 26, 1996, as he talked about how one match has already been made, as it will be the Undertaker and Paul Bearer in tag team action with none other than the deranged Mankind, and his new found ally, Waylon Mercy. Pettingill talked about how it's going to be a barnburner, as Mankind wants to show up the "Deadman" once again, but the Undertaker wants to get his hands on Mankind! Pettingill then announced that we will also see the man that debuted last Monday night on RAW, the "Wild Man" Marc Mero take on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin at In Your House, Austin hungry for revenge on the man that rescued Ahmed Johnson from the attack from the Million Dollar Corporation last Monday night. Pettingill concluded, telling us to stay tuned for the In Your House report in coming weeks for more matches waiting to be announced. | 00:44 | - | Commercial Break | 00:48 | 11 | We returned to WWF Saturday Morning Superstars, as Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix talked about Monday Night RAW this Monday night, promoting what we were expected to see, as "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel will explain his actions for last Sunday, in assaulting his best friend Shawn Michaels at In Your House - whilst the "Heartbreak Kid" is in the building; the British Bulldog will be in action against "Make A Difference" Fatu; plus, Mankind will make his in-ring RAW debut, and "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and "Agent" Dean Douglas will begin their open challenge, the WWF Tag Team Champions issuing a challenge to anybody in the world! It all happens this Monday night from 8:57/7:57 CT, only on the USA Network! | 00:49 | 12 | "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon def. Jerry "The King" Lawler [07:13] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] As one door closes, another door opens - the cliché that represents the "Bad Guy", as Razor Ramon after ending a five month feud with the "Bizarre One" Goldust had finally disposed of Goldust last Sunday at In Your House - and Ramon was now hungry for the WWF Championship gold. Ramon seemed determined to win the big one after years of being WWF Intercontinental Champion, but meanwhile Jerry "The King" Lawler had been having fun irritating the resurrected veteran Jake "The Snake" Roberts with claims of being a hasbeen, that his demons will forever disturb the legacy of Jake "The Snake", among others. Lawler was also trying to regain momentum after he lost to the WWF Champion Shawn Michaels last week, but in the opening moments Ramon did nothing but manhandle the "King", tossing him around the ring and slapping the taste out of the disrespectful court jester-like superstar. Lawler then gained an opening as he caught Razor with a big knee to the gut, Lawler working away at Razor from that moment, including stomping away at Razor and trying to keep the "Bad Guy" on his back. Lawler soon went for the Piledriver, but out came Jake Roberts with a microphone, the "Snake" echoing what Lawler did to him earlier on, as Roberts talked about how Lawler is nothing more than a big joke - and unlike how it fueled Roberts' emotions to win earlier tonight, Ramon cleared house of Lawler, putting him away with a back drop, followed up with the Razor's Edge!
The "Bad Guy" celebrated his win to cheers, as Razor Ramon was successful in this outing with Jerry "The King" Lawler, the quest of Ramon beginning officially with Razor now pursuing the World Wrestling Federation Championship. Razor celebrated as Jake Roberts had a huge grin on his face, Jerry Lawler left down in the ring. Ramon continued to celebrate as WWF Superstars went off the air. | 00:50 |
| NEXT WEEK: THE BRITISH BULLDOG DOES BATTLE WITH THE "PUERTO RICAN SUPERMAN" SAVIO VEGA; THE "PEARL RIVER POWERHOUSE" AHMED JOHNSON TAKES ON THE MYSTERIOUS GOON; WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SEAN WALTMAN TAKES ON "SPARKY PLUGG" BOB HOLLY; PLUS "MAKE A DIFFERENCE" FATU, DUKE "THE DUMPSTER" DROESE; RILEY O'FINLEY AND MORE! |

RAW (4/29/96) We kick off a great matchup with Ahmed Johnson and Stone Cold Steve Austin, I was hoping for an Ahmed/Steve feud in real-life. But I guess my hopes are up, Great win for Ahmed anyway, and nice to see Ahmed and Mero stand tall. So Jarrett and Douglas issuing any tag team to face them for the titles if they can win a non-title match, I hope you have a team lined up for them. So Cornette blames Diesel for Owen's injury. Diesel just already turned heel before Shawn could retain the title against Owen. Cornette why are you making excuses for Owen. Nice arrival for The Undertaker, very cool. Warrior gets a nice win over the Brooklyn Brawler, but his feud with Helmsley is still continuing. Diesel said he would kick Shawn's ass next week. Very typical heel promo by Diesel. Vader gets a win over Fatu but Fatu thankfully avoids the Vader Bomb. Waylon Mercy, the man behind Mankind. What, okay this Mankind/Undertaker feud has gotten creepier and creepier
SUPERSTARS (5/4/96) Decent Squash for The Snake, I bet he hasn't forgotten about what happened at Bad Attitudes when Lawler cost him the Intercontinental Championship. Helmsley with a nice win over Tatanka to send a message somewhat to the Ultimate Warrior. Rare interview with The Million Dollar Corporation. Nice win for Jannetty and Cassidy in a tag team match. Even a good win for the Bodydonnas, and to top it off. Razor gets a nice victory over Lawler with the help of Jake Roberts. I hope you keep Razor in contention for the WWF Title. Likely Razor could be dragged into this Diesel/HBK feud and turn heel. I hope you let Razor and Diesel stay too for a little while.
Nice 2 shows going, MCMAHON.

Tonight's Raw card sounds pretty interesting. Not a big fan of Ahmed Johnson going over Stone Cold, but Johnson was getting a major push in 1996. Bringing in Marc Mero is great. I remember not liking him much in 1996, but after seeing some things on the WWE Network, I rather liked his in-ring work during this time. I liked the mention of a "rival organization." Waltman saying he wanted to go to bed was funny. Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas are a great team idea, I still love it. Wise and realistic to have a segment dedicated to their music video. I like it. Ultimate Warrior squash was obvious, interesting that the Hunter feud is going to continue. Diesel going AWOL is interesting. Keeping the Wildman persona for Mero is smart. Vader winning the main event was the right call and I hope he gets the WWF Title before the year is up. Awesome closing segment. Love Mankind speaking of the house burning down and the Waylon Mercy addition is fantastic. Looking forward to more, good Raw.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts winning was the right move, but I kinda don't want him around much longer. Like that Razor Ramon is being noted as "chasing the WWF Title". Love it. Hunter winning over Tatanka is good, glad it wasn't against a jobber. Too many squash matches can be boring. Never was a big Tatanka fan either. Good Million Dollar Corporation promo. New Rockers winning is fine, maybe a feud with the Bodydonnas soon? Speaking of them, another non-squash so that's good. Beating the Godwins is big for them. I remember Raw starting at 8:57! Razor beating Jerry Lawler is great, I strongly dislike Lawler. Overall, solid episode of Superstars.

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, May 6, 1996
- World Wrestling Federation management held a press conference last Thursday afternoon in Sun City, South Africa, as Vince McMahon announced that in September when the World Wrestling Federation tours overseas to South Africa, they were produce a South African-exclusive television programme. The show is currently scheduled to feature Shawn Michaels, the Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Vader and many others. It is quite interesting to note how Razor is listed so highly on the bill, as well as Vader. It wouldn't be surprising to see at least one match from the South African television special aired in the United States on Monday Night RAW.
- Roddy Piper has signed a short-term deal with the World Wrestling Federation, and should be expected back on television screens this summer, perhaps for a match at SummerSlam in August. Piper was last seen officiating the I Quit match at WrestleMania XI last year between Bret Hart and Bob Backlund, and has been taking time out of wrestling on and off since. Piper's last match in the ring was in a winning effort against Jerry Lawler back at King of the Ring 1994.
- In related news, Jim Neidhart was signed to a WWF contract backstage during In Your House last weekend. Neidhart was last seen on WWF televisions in the summer of 1994 where Neidhart was associated with Owen Hart in his ongoing rivalry with brother, Bret Hart. It is currently unknown what role Neidhart will play, as both Bret and Owen are both off of television for the time being.
- There is a lot of heat between Shawn Michaels and Sunny that escalated during the WWF's tour of Germany several weeks ago. It initially began when Sunny found human feces in her dinner, and she would leave the tour early insulted by Michaels' display of disrespect towards her. Michaels additionally had a blow-up with WWF officials when he was not informed of a tour bus to the local gym - Michaels had been raddled with public appearances representing the World Wrestling Federation for most of his time there. In additional news from the tour of Germany, Diesel has been dishonouring many WWF policies, taking a "nothing left to lose" approach. Diesel leaves the WWF as effective on June 1, 1996, and is currently scheduled for a final match with Shawn Michaels at In Your House later this month.
- The open challenge issued by Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas to "any tag team in the world" is being taken as a literal, as the World Wrestling Federation has spoken to AAA and NJPW about bringing in a tag team or two to recruit talents for a match or short-term contracts to further establish Jarrett and Douglas as WWF Tag Team Champions.
- Expect the WWF to hire more talents in the coming weeks, as management now realises how thin their roster suddenly is, with a strong uppercard heel roster yet weak undercard heel roster. On the contrary, the face roster has a strong undercard but a weak uppercard line-up. Pushes and depushes are expected to coincide.
- The fallout edition of Monday Night RAW from In Your House scored a 3.5 rating, down from the go-home show. Meanwhile WCW Monday Nitro scored a 3.8 rating.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 4/29/1996. In results from the show: - Vader def. Fatu - The Ultimate Warrior def. The Brooklyn Brawler - Ahmed Johnson def. Steve Austin
- WWF In Your House is live on pay-per-view on 5/26/1996. The card is as follows: - The Undertaker & Paul Bearer vs Mankind & Waylon Mercy - Marc Mero vs Steve Austin - Shawn Michaels vs Diesel for the WWF Championship. (spec.) - The Ultimate Warrior vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a no-disqualification match. (spec.)

WWF Monday Night RAW - May 6, 1996 The Municipal Auditorium - Sioux City, IA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | The opening video package for WWF Monday Night RAW aired, before cutting to the Municipal Auditorium in Sioux City, Iowa, an electric crowd on hand as Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcomed us to the show, talking about how there is an action-packed hour of action from the World Wrestling Federation planned for tonight, as "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel addresses the fans about the attack on Shawn Michaels at In Your House, but whilst the WWF Champion is in attendance; plus, the deranged Mankind makes his in-ring RAW debut tonight when he battles "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly; the British Bulldog takes on "Make A Difference" Fatu; "the Bad Guy" Razor Ramon takes on the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw; and WWF Tag Team Champions Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas will be in action in the first of their open challenges to any tag team across the world! All tonight on RAW. | 00:01 | 2 | "The Bruiser" Riley O'Finley vs "The Native American" Tatanka; no-contest [03:18] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The first appearance of Riley O'Finley in action on Monday Night RAW, as the egotistical yet dangerous submission specialist from Northern Ireland took on the "Native American" Tatanka, Tatanka trying to get in offense in the opening moments to the applausing fans in Sioux City, but Riley O'Finley quickly went from the chain wrestling to quickly pounding away at Tatanka using his aggressive in-ring style. O'Finley locked in a bizarre variation of the front facelock, as the fans booed O'Finley as he talked trash whilst arching the back of Tatanka in a bridging front facelock, when the theme of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel hit suddenly! The crowd were booing, as Diesel then made his way down to the ring, O'Finley deciding to add some more insult to injury despite the interruption, by picking Tatanka up and planting him with a big death valley driver! O'Finley continued to assault Tatanka until Diesel got into the ring, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel simply nodding for O'Finley to leave, and the "Bruiser" left!
"Big Daddy Cool" was booed as he picked up a beaten "Native American" and slapped him disrespectfully across the face! Diesel slapped a dazed Tatanka again, before "Big Daddy Cool" dropped Tatanka with a big Jackknife Powerbomb! The fans booed loudly, as Diesel had returned to the state of a blank, unsatisfied facial expression. | 00:08 | - | Commercial Break | 00:11 | 3 | We returned from the commercial break as "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel was insulting the fans in attendance over the microphone, Diesel berating the fans reaffirming his position with the Sioux City audience. Vince McMahon said that he expected to see Diesel address us tonight, but that Diesel interrupted a match was unexpected. Diesel began to address the fans as he talked about how he knows that he's done it again, that he's the bad guy once more - but that "Big Daddy Cool" has done it for a reason. Diesel said that what happened to his friend Shawn Michaels at the hands of Camp Cornette over the duration of the last few months initially was hard to watch, but in retrospect, Diesel was just sad that he didn't do it himself soon enough! Diesel continued, talking about how he has never been jealous of the "Heartbreak Kid", he just pities him. Diesel said that when he was the WWF Champion for a year, he was the corporate puppet, and now Shawn is, and it makes him sad because Michaels is not the man "Big Daddy Cool" is, never was and never will be! Diesel said that he wants to prove this once and for all, that he is the better man, and in the process take that WWF Championship with him. "Big Daddy Cool" said a light went off in his head when he lost to the British Bulldog - that he's fighting for the wrong side here, because Shawn Michaels now thinks about only himself, and not for his friends - which is why when he was getting outnumbered by Camp Cornette eight days ago at In Your House, Michaels was phoning in on a really touchy, itty-bitty leg injury! Diesel called Shawn pathetic, reminding us that he was WWF Champion, a fighting WWF Champion around the same time he dislocated his shoulder last year - a real man's man! "Big Daddy Cool" then dropped a pipebomb, as he revealed that on June 1, 1996; his contract his up, and that he is done with the World Wrestling Federation. He continued, challenging Michaels to a fight at In Your House on May 26, asking Shawn if he's a gambling man - which he knows he is. Diesel challenged Michaels to put it all on the line, to be the hero of the World Wrestling Federation like he should be: the corporate puppet! Diesel said otherwise, he'll just have to take that belt from him and go "some place else with it, again". The crowd were booing at the cultural references, as Diesel was actually planning on stealing away the WWF Championship! Diesel smirked, and suddenly the theme of the "Heartbreak Kid" hit, Shawn Michaels storming out to the ring all business! The WWF Championship hanging out of his hand, and a big frown on his face, but the fans were still loving the WWF Champion's presence! Michaels got in the ring, as Diesel asked Shawn if he had upset him or something. Diesel mocked Shawn, saying how he's acting like a big baby over this. "Big Daddy Cool" was trying to antagonize Michaels further, and it appeared to be working. Shawn soon stole the mic right out of Diesel's hand and told him that if he wants to fight, then he's on. Michaels said that he knows a lot about betrayal, and he's been betrayed by Diesel before, so he's prepared for this. Michaels said how it sucks that Diesel has taken this turn, because of how much they've been through: but it's too late now. Shawn said that Diesel almost ended his life, let alone his reign as WWF Champion, and because of that - he would love nothing more than to avenge it. The fans cheered, as Michaels asked Diesel if he was really leaving on June 1, to become a traitor in some other company - because he's counting down the days to watch his big lug of an ass walk out of those doors! The fans cheered, as Diesel smirked at Michaels' claims. Diesel then told Shawn to skip to the point - whether they were going to fight for the WWF Championship or not. Shawn simply looked at the fans in Sioux City before concluding that he was on - the WWF Championship - May 26, at In Your House! The fans cheered as Michaels then dove at Diesel, delivering a barrage of lefts and rights, showering down on "Big Daddy Cool", but Diesel shrugged him off, and Michaels ran straight into the big boot of Diesel's! The fans booed loudly, as Michaels was down and out, Diesel with a huge smirk on his face, as he picked up the WWF Championship and motioned that it would be his in three weeks time, then dropping the belt over the body of Shawn Michaels! A huge gamble was on for Michaels, on May 26, as Diesel walked away with a smirk on his face! | 00:19 | 4 | In the backstage area, Dok Hendrix was shown catching up with the "Bruiser" Riley O'Finley, whose RAW debut with the "Native American" Tatanka had been declared a no contest because of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, wanting to catch a few words from O'Finley. Riley said that he thought that he had that match won, and that he proved to an even bigger audience that the "Bruiser" is not a man to be messed with, and that everybody in the World Wrestling Federation needs to watch out for the best, most aggressive technician that the world has ever seen! Hendrix asked about his affiliation with Diesel, before O'Finley said that Diesel wanted to make an impact, and he sure as hell did it - which is why he did what he did, left Tatanka high and dry - because everybody knows that "Big Daddy Cool" should be the WWF Champion! | 00:20 | - | Commercial Break | 00:23 | 5 | WWF Tag Team Champions "Double J" Jeff Jarrett & "Agent" Dean Douglas def. The Bushwhackers [00:21] [+00:02 for entrances] This was the first night of the WWF Tag Team Champions' open invitational tag team challenge to any pair from across the globe - and what a way to kick it off than with two veterans of the World Wrestling Federation, Luke and Butch of the Bushwhackers! However it would end in comedic fashion, as Luke immediately charged the ring upon entrance just to get thrown over the top rope on the other side by "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, before "Agent" Dean Douglas picked Butch up and nailed him with the fisherman suplex, Douglas and Jarrett grabbing victory so quickly in the first round of their open challenge!
The fans booed, as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and "Agent" Dean Douglas celebrated their win, Jarrett and Douglas strutting around as Luke and Butch looked really confused! The Bushwhackers decided to leave, as Jarrett and Douglas had started off the WWF Tag Team Championship open invitational strongly, almost in record breaking time! | 00:25 | 6 | Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler were shown on commentary, as they began to talk about the revelation revealed last Monday on RAW, where it was shown that Mankind was in cohoots with a man that the WWF had not seen in quite some time, Waylon Mercy. A replay was shown of Mankind challenging the Undertaker and Paul Bearer to a handicap match at In Your House on May 26, with Undertaker's reaction to Mankind being with Mercy a look of anger, whilst Paul Bearer expressed shock and fear, never being inside of a WWF ring for a match before. Following this, a promo was shown with Paul Bearer, as Bearer was stood in the dark, only a torch lighting up his face. Bearer talked about how he has never wrestled before, and the fact that Mankind wants to get his hands on him terrifies him greatly. Paul said that when the match was made, he felt safe in the hands of the fearsome Undertaker - but he doesn't trust that Waylon Mercy character one bit! Bearer then said with determination and mind games on his side, Bearer and Undertaker will get the job done, and on May 26, Undertaker will dispose of that gruesome twosome once and for all. Paul said that he would be watching tonight, to see Mankind compete. | 00:27 | 7 | "Make A Difference" Fatu def. The British Bulldog (w/James E. Cornette & Clarence Mason) [08:29 - exceeded one commercial break] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The British Bulldog has been a man poised and on a roll in recent weeks, as illustrated by his victory at In Your House: Bad Attitudes, where he defeated "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, albeit not without the assistance of his returning manager, the crooked lawyer Clarence Mason. The Bulldog was up against a man who fought courageously last Monday on RAW against the "Mastodon" Vader, and Fatu was out here with bandaged ribs after having 450-pounds of Vader crash on him with a moonsault. Fatu was showing a never-die attitude in recent weeks, standing up for what he believed in, and it shone through here with the Bulldog. The Bulldog tried to target the ribs immediately from the bell, but the speed of the larger "Make A Difference" caught Bulldog off-guard, as he flew around the ring with a flying forearm, followed up with a big running senton on Bulldog! James E. Cornette had been getting annoyed by Fatu's actions in recent weeks, getting in the way of Vader's attacks, but he was getting really angry tonight, shouting for Bulldog to get rid of the hefty Samoan! The former Headshrinker was soon slowed down by Bulldog's incomparable strength however, the powerhouse keeping Fatu limited and down with a bear hug slapped on, applying pressure on the damaged ribs of Fatu - but as usual, the resilient Fatu mounted a comeback, firing back and connecting with a big Samoan Shuffle Kick out of nowhere on Bulldog, just for Cornette to distract the referee! Fatu targeted him, grabbing the manager by the collar but Bulldog suddenly came from behind, going for the Running Powerslam, Fatu slipping out and rolling Bulldog up for the victory out of nowhere!
The fans cheered as "Make A Difference" Fatu had done it, defeating the British Bulldog and taking a chunk out of Camp Cornette's momentum! Suddenly, the British Bulldog struck Fatu with a big clothesline, as James E. Cornette and Clarence Mason directed traffic, Bulldog stomping away at the victor in this battle, Fatu. "Make A Difference" was given a Running Powerslam, as Bulldog taunted, and out came the "Mastodon" Vader! Fatu kept getting up however, as "Make A Difference" was showing a fighting spirit once again, not giving up easy for Camp Cornette! Vader got in the ring as Bulldog gave Fatu a right hand, and suddenly Vader rushed across the ring, splashing Fatu in the corner! Fatu was down and hurting, as Vader and Bulldog continued to pound away at Fatu before leaving him unconscious in the ring - but Camp Cornette couldn't deny how much of a resilient man "Make A Difference" truly was. | 00:38 | 8 | We went to a sit-down interview of Jim Ross alongside Jake "The Snake" Roberts on separate couches in a studio, as Jim thanked Jake for his time, explaining to the audience that he wanted the world to get to know Jake Roberts a little better after returning to the World Wrestling Federation from a four year absence. Footage aired of Jake in action in his prime, his battles with "Ravishing" Rick Rude, the Honky Tonk Man and André the Giant being famous for its time period. Jake explained that he felt the need to change the way that his life was going, as after his career in the World Wrestling Federation came to an end in 1992, he found himself desperate for more competition - so he began to work on the independent circuit, but the money was treacherous, and Roberts soon found himself depressed. He was always on the road during his time in the WWF prior to leaving, always touring and loving what he was doing: but he was homesick, he wanted to be with his family at home in Stone Mountain. Jake said that he always wished that his relationship with his family would be better than his relationship with his father - but like his father, who was always touring and away from home, he became much like his father. Roberts explained that he also had a taste for alcohol, and how much of a heartbreaker it was because he was depressed all of the time - over his spare time, over being away from home, over being unemployed from well-paying source of finance. But another thing that got him down was that he never held WWF gold, he never won a title in the World Wrestling Federation. So one day he decided to repair himself - he became a born-again Christian. Ross concluded, noting that we would see the second part of this sit-down interview series with Jake "The Snake" Roberts next week, noting that we would see what drove Jake to return to the World Wrestling Federation, and what else contributed to his demons from the past. | 00:42 | - | Commercial Break | 00:45 | 10 | We returned to Monday Night RAW to see Todd Pettingill promoting the WWF In Your House report, as he talked about how we are well on the way to In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, May 26, 1996. Pettingill talked about the card so far, as the Undertaker and Paul Bearer will go up against the deranged Mankind and revealed ally Waylon Mercy in what should be a mentally challenging tag team bout from Hell; also on the line-up for the show, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin from the Million Dollar Corporation will take on the "Wild Man" Marc Mero in a match where Austin seeks revenge on the newcomer Mero for what he did to Sean Waltman in knocking him out last week - a lesson in respect that Austin wants to teach. And just announced earlier tonight on RAW, it will be the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels putting his WWF Championship on the line against his former best friend, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel! Pettingill talked about what occurred earlier on, with Diesel now plotting to take the World Wrestling Federation hostage by leaving the company with the WWF Championship in his possession. Todd then took us to a promo from the "Wild Man" Marc Mero, filmed earlier today. Mero was shown in front of his backdrop, as he talked about what it feels like to be in the WWF, how it's been so long since the "Wild Man" has been able to get a little crazy in the squared-circle. Marc talked about how he's been watching the Million Dollar Corporation for a while now, and he doesn't like what they've been doing to the other superstars, but Mero wants to change it all. Mero concluded, stating that Austin would be the first notch on the "Wild Man"s belt! Pettingill urged us to tune in in the coming weeks for more announcements regarding In Your House, before signing off. | 00:46 | 11 | We returned to Monday Night RAW, as Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler talked about next week's edition, as we are scheduled to see the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, the WWF Champion in singles action against the newcomer, the fighting Irishman Riley O'Finley; plus, the next stage of the open invitational that WWF Tag Team Champions Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas are hosting, an invitation open to any tag team in the world today; In other action, the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson teams with the "Wild Man" Marc Mero in Mero's in-ring debut against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman; And the "Mastodon" Vader will be in one-on-one action with the the "Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega; all of this, plus part two of the personal interview with Jake "the Snake" Roberts, and an update on the condition of the "King of Harts" Owen Hart; live on RAW next Monday, only on the USA Network! | 00:47 | 12 | Mankind (w/Waylon Mercy) def. "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly [04:23] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:05 for aftermath] The wacky Mankind was in action in our main event of Monday Night RAW tonight, as the deranged one went up against "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly, in Mankind's first actual match since WrestleMania XII, just over five weeks ago now. With Waylon Mercy in his corner, Mankind wanted to show what he had to offer, but Vince McMahon continued to ponder why the alliance with Mercy was formed in the first place, after Mercy's absence over the last three months. Bob Holly tried to put up a fight with Mankind, but the deranged one continued to ground and pound Holly with his unorthodox style, sending him flying over the top rope to the floor below, before Mankind ran and dove off of the ring apron to the floor with a big elbow drop! Mankind continued to pound into Holly without giving him a chance to fight back, and that's when Mankind unleashed the choke hold, the Mandible Claw on Bob, and unfortunately for the NASCAR racer, that was all she wrote for Holly.
The crowd booed as the methodical theme of the deranged one began to play, the Southern Waylon Mercy then getting into the ring as the lights dimmed. Mercy had a microphone, as he talked about the destruction that the World Wrestling Federation will slowly begin to see. Mercy said that he is a cancer in the eyes of many, he is strange, he is big, and he is a big deal around these parts. Mankind was biting his fingers as he cradled on the canvas over the fallen "Sparky Plugg", Mercy placing his hand on the head of Mankind, patting him like a dog. Mercy said that his career was almost ended several months ago, all too premature was the life of Waylon Mercy ended. Which is why he's back, because the long-term plan of having no Mercy was to put an end to the evil Undertaker. Waylon said that he was about to take him down without a scratch, when he found Mankind, and he fathered him. Mercy said that he brought Mankind to the light, and that the deranged one is now about to disembody the spirit of the "Deadman", and is about to put an end to the legacy of the Undertaker and Paul Bearer. Mankind then snatched the microphone, screeching that he wants to see Mark's carcass dragged into this ring and beaten, and if anybody's going to do it, it will be him, and Father Mercy! Mankind stumbled to his feet, as he uttered that the Undertaker's life will be in Father Mercy's hands, and it will all be brought to him on a silver platter, because Mankind is going to be the one to end it! Justice will be served! Suddenly with that, the theme of the Undertaker hit, and the fans suddenly lit up! In the darkness, Mercy and Mankind looked around at the skies above them, when suddenly the spotlight went out - and when it returned, the Undertaker was there, giving Mercy a Chokeslam! Undertaker had Mankind in a showdown, as Mercy shouted for Mankind to retreat, and with that, Mankind quickly left, deciding not to have any part of the Undertaker! The "Deadman" was ready, as Mankind and Mercy looked on in a sadistic gaze, Monday Night RAW going off the air. | 00:58 |

WWF Superstars - May 11, 1996 The Veterans Memorial Auditorium - Des Moines, IA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | The opening video package aired for WWF Saturday Morning Superstars, before cutting to the Veterans Memorial Auditorium for Des Moines, Iowa, as Jim Ross alongside Dok Hendrix talked about what an action packed week in the World Wrestling Federation it has been, before lining up what is set to take place in this hour, the British Bulldog is set for action with the "Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega; the "Pearl River Powerhouse" does battle with the mysterious Goon, who is making his WWF debut tonight; WWF Intercontinental Champion takes on "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly; plus, action from "Make A Difference" Fatu, the "Bruiser" Riley O'Finley, Duke "the Dumpster" Droese, and more in this hour! | 00:02 | 2 | WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman (w/Ted Dibiase) def. "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly [05:31] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] Sean Waltman has had a pretty unfortunate couple of weeks, seemingly starting two weeks ago on Monday Night RAW when he was knocked unconscious by the "Wild Man" Marc Mero, but then again so had "Sparky Plugg" Bob Holly, who was coming off of a loss to the deranged one Mankind this past Monday night on RAW. Bob Holly was here to let off some steam, as he took down Waltman several times in the opening moments of this match, the NASCAR racer wanting to regain some momentum, but it was suddenly cut off by the "Million Dollar Man"'s distraction, as Dibiase tried to trip Holly up just before Waltman came out of nowhere with a neckbreaker for Bob Holly. Waltman then proceeded to pound away at Holly with some lefts and rights, Waltman soon getting into the egotistical mindset, as the so-called Man of the Million Dollar Corporation started slapping his hands against his crotch and confidently kicked away at Holly, almost showing off to the crowd in Des Moines! Waltman soon let himself get too confident however, as Bob suddenly came out of nowhere with a fury of lefts and rights, the hard-hitter from Alabama proceeding to go up to the top rope for the Pitstop Plunge, but Waltman was quick to get to his feet, as Sean suddenly nailed Holly with a spinning wheel kick, nailing Holly in the head! Bob collapsed to the canvas, and Sean covered, giving the WWF Intercontinental Champion another win!
The fans in Des Moines were bemused, as the WWF Intercontinental Championship was handed to Sean Waltman by the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, as Waltman and Dibiase celebrated their win in the ring. Jim Ross then got into the ring to ask for a few comments from Waltman and Dibiase, as Sean immediately cut Ross off, talking about how great it feels to be an umatchable, unbeatable champion in the World Wrestling Federation. Waltman talked about how he has taken on all opposition, and nobody can beat the Man of the Million Dollar Corporation. Jim asked Sean about what he thought to Marc Mero, the "Wild Man" knocking him out last week, asking Waltman if he could be a potential opponent for the WWF Intercontinental Champion. Dibiase chimed in, stating that Mero deserves nothing but a beating, which is exactly what they will give him this coming Monday night on RAW. Ted called Marc a criminal lunatic, stating that unless Mero can beat Waltman, he wouldn't be seeing a WWF Intercontinental Championship shot anywhere near his future! Waltman concluded, stating that he's the champion because he is the best, and Marc Mero has a lot to prove before he is worthy! | 00:10 | - | Commercial Break | 00:14 | 3 | We returned to WWF Superstars to see the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels standing in front of his backdrop, the World Wrestling Federation Champion talking about how he has beaten "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel before, but he thought that him and his friendship with Diesel had been repaired, that they were best friends again. Michaels talked about how he has learned so much from Diesel, and how he himself has taught Diesel so much, he's taught Diesel every trick in the book, and now that's being used against him. Shawn continued to talk about how he is disappointed, before talking about Diesel's betrayal, in leaving the World Wrestling Federation - and if that's the case, then when Diesel walks out of the door, he'll have to make sure that door hits him on the way out - because he's the WWF Champion, he is the man on the mountain, and on May 26, the "Heartbreak Kid" plans to put Diesel out of business with a swift Sweet Chin Music! | 00:15 | 4 | Duke "The Dumpster" Droese def. David Haskins [03:11] [+00:01 for Droese's entrance] Duke "the Dumpster" Droese, the WWF's residential garbage man was in action this morning on WWF Superstars, as Droese promised to take care of the opposition in the World Wrestling Federation, though not having much luck in recent weeks. This was his chance, and he delivered in this match-up with local talent David Haskins. Droese managed to quickly put Haskins away with the Trash Compactor, giving him the win. In an insert promo, the "Bruiser" Riley O'Finley was shown talking about how he's seen some stereotypes in his time, but the rugged garbage man that is Duke Droese is one of the worst. O'Finley talked about how he is a world-class talent, and he is going to disrespect Droese all he likes, and drive him out of the World Wrestling Federation because he is better than him: and on Superstars next week, he will prove just that!
The fans cheered, as Duke "The Dumpster" Droese celebrated his victory to cheers, Droese with a win tonight, but a challenge made from the so-called world-class wrestler, the "Bruiser" Riley O'Finley, who is making leaps and bounds to make an impact in the World Wrestling Federation. | 00:19 | 5 |
We cut to a promo with the Ultimate Warrior, as the Warrior stood in front of his backdrop, the former WWF Champion snorting as he talked about how the destruction of the Greenwich "Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley was imminent. Warrior shouted about how a steel chair could not take down the Warrior, and that Helmsley will pay for his actions, because every action has a consequence, and that is why on Sunday, May 26 at In Your House, the Ultimate Warrior wants to challenge Hunter Hearst Helmsley to dance one more time, because he will end the "Blue Blood", with the power of the Ultimate Maniacs in attendance, Warrior will put Helmsley deep into that canvas to the point where he will never be seen again! | 00:20 | 6 | Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix began to talk about the Ultimate Warrior and Hunter Hearst Helmsley situation, with it beginning to reach a boiling point, as Ross announced that next Monday night, Helmsley and Warrior will both be in attendance, as Helmsley plans to speak out at the Warrior - but with the challenge just made by the Warrior, this should make for a pretty interesting confrontation. | 00:20 | 7 | "Make A Difference" Fatu def. The Brooklyn Brawler [03:35] [+00:01 for Fatu's entrance] The ever-resilient rising star in the World Wrestling Federation, Fatu has made an impact in recent weeks, furiously pursuing Camp Cornette after the carnage that the "Mastodon" Vader has left in his path, and especially trying to avenge the injury that his cousin Yokozuna suffered at the hands of Vader. "Make A Difference" actually managed to beat the British Bulldog last Monday night on RAW, but was assaulted soon after by Bulldog and Vader - but "Make A Difference" Fatu still seems to try and pursue the "Mastodon" Vader regardless of that. Fatu took on the Brooklyn Brawler this morning on Superstars, and despite the Brawler's best efforts to stall this match at ringside, Fatu continued to pound away at Brawler and chase him around ringside, quickly putting Brawler away with the big Samoan Splash! In an insert promo, Fatu talked about how he will not stop until he makes a difference to Camp Cornette, because no matter how badly he may get beaten, no matter how hurt he may get, he will always come back and fight for the occasion, to fight for change, to make a difference! Fatu shouted that he will get revenge. | 00:24 | 8 | An advertisement aired, promoting WWF In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, May 26, 1996. | 00:25 |
| Commercial Break | 00:29 | 9 | The WWF Slam of the Week aired, as it took us back to this past Monday night on RAW, where the "Bruiser Riley O'Finley was scheduled to take on the "Native American" Tatanka, just for the theme of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel to play half way through their match, leading to O'Finley locking in a bridging front facelock, then leaving Tatanka for the ruthless Diesel to drill Tatanka with a big Jackknife Powerbomb!
| 00:30 | 10 | "The Bruiser" Riley O'Finley def. Roy Raymond [04:00] [+00:01 for O'Finley's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] Riley O'Finley has had a stellar week in the World Wrestling Federation, the fighting Irishman having only made his debut two weeks ago on WWF Superstars and already seemingly forming a union with "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, continuing to impress fans with his talents in the ring, in finding so many ways to finish off his opponents. Earlier on in this hour, O'Finley made a claim to put an end to Duke "The Dumpster" Droese's stereotypically insulting ways of representing the World Wrestling Federation, brashly boasting that he was a world class wrestler. O'Finley switched up his routine this week, appearing aggressive to Roy Raymond, in slapping him around and pounding him with some stiff forearms in the corner, before starting to mat-wrestle with Raymond, inevitably showing him up. O'Finley put Raymond down with a backbreaker, and followed it up with an STF, stretching out Roy forcing him to forfeit the match.
The crowd booed as the "Bruiser from Belfast" was beginning to show his true colors to the WWF audience, the fans in Des Moines not appreciating O'Finley as he continued to hold the STF in tightly, stretching out Roy Raymond and letting his aggressive side show once again even after the bell! The fans then cheered suddenly, as out came Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, the garbage man hearing O'Finley's claims earlier this morning during his match, and Droese nailed O'Finley with his trash can! Riley retreated to the floor, as he groggily walked back up the aisleway, Droese visibly irked by O'Finley comments earlier! These two are scheduled to face off next weekend on Superstars, and what an encounter it should be. | 00:36 | 11 | Todd Pettingill welcomed us to the WWF In Your House report, as he talked about how In Your House is only two weeks away live on pay-per-view on Sunday, May 26, 1996. Pettingill talked about the line-up so far, as in the main event, the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will defend the WWF Championship against "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel in what could be Diesel's last match with the World Wrestling Federation; the Undertaker will team up with Paul Bearer making his first in-ring appearance in tag team action against the deranged Mankind and Waylon Mercy; Plus, the "Wild Man" Marc Mero will step in the ring to take on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin of the Million Dollar Corporation. Todd talked about the Tag Team Match from Hell, as he took us to a promo from the Undertaker and Paul Bearer. Bearer was shown in front of his backdrop with the Undertaker, as Bearer talked about how he has been listening, and the Undertaker has been listening, too. Paul talked about how he's heard the evil things that Mankind and Waylon Mercy have been saying, but they will never match them, they will never cause the demise of the Undertaker and Paul Bearer - because they never rest in peace! The Undertaker talked about how Mankind has been an excellent threat to his legacy, but the fact is, Mick will never get the job done. Undertaker said that he has tried to tarnish his legacy in more ways than one, and nobody does that to the Undertaker. Undertaker said that he can bring Waylon Mercy into the equation if he wants, but the fact remains that when the gong sounds on May 26, two caskets will be waiting for Mankind and Waylon Mercy - not one. The "Deadman" concluded, vowing that Mankind and Mercy would both rest in peace at In Your House. Pettingill continued to talk about In Your House, before signing off. | 00:38 | 12 | "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson def. The Goon [01:38] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The Goon was making his first appearance this morning on WWF Saturday Morning Superstars, but it could have been against the wrong foe, in the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson. The Goon was this man dressed in Hockey clothes, perhaps acting as a mascot for the World Wrestling Federation, walking down to the ring with a hockey stick and wearing a goalie mask, jersey and all. But when the fans went crazy for the impressive Ahmed Johnson, Goon found himself waiting to be destroyed by Ahmed, and that's exactly what happened, as Johnson easily overpowered the Goon and pounded away at him in the corner, gorilla press slamming him almost halfway across the ring! Johnson continued to punish this newcomer to the WWF, as Ahmed put him away with the Pearl River Plunge for the win.
The crowd cheered for Ahmed Johnson, as he impressively put away this newcomer, the Goon this morning on WWF Superstars. But just at that moment, the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman came out to ringside, Waltman sneaking up onto the top rope and coming off with a missile dropkick on Ahmed Johnson! The "Pearl River Powerhouse" was down, as Sean Waltman paraded over Johnson, who seemed to be weary from that dropkick from the top rope! Waltman bragged that he was best, and that Johnson deserved every little bit of it! | 00:42 | - | Commercial Break | 00:46 | 13 | We returned to WWF Saturday Morning Superstars, as Jim Ross and Dok Hendrix talked about Monday Night RAW this coming week. The "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, the WWF Champion in action against the newcomer, the fighting Irishman Riley O'Finley; the next stage of the open invitational that the WWF Tag Team Champions Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas have opened to any tag team in the world today; In other action, the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson teams with the "Wild Man" Marc Mero in Mero's in-ring debut against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and the WWF Intercontinental Champion Sean Waltman; the "Mastodon" Vader will be in one-on-one action with the the "Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega; all of this, plus part two of the personal interview with Jake "the Snake" Roberts, and an update on the condition of the "King of Harts" Owen Hart; live on RAW this coming Monday from 8:57/7:57, only on the USA Network. | 00:47 | 14 | The British Bulldog (w/Clarence Mason) def. "The Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega [08:28] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] "The Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega has been absent from in-ring competition since the Free 4-All prior to In Your House: Bad Attitudes, where he suffered a minor leg injury in his match against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, but additionally Vega was also attacked after the match by the "Outlaw" James Bradshaw, who apparently wants to make the United States a better place to live, free of superstars from other countries. The British Bulldog went into this one fully vexed, after suffering a loss to "Make A Difference" Fatu earlier this week on Monday Night RAW. The British Bulldog started off by overpowering Vega with his unbeatable strength, the Bulldog cornering Vega and continuing to pound into Savio as Clarence Mason watched on. Bulldog continued to dissect Vega and eventually trapped him in a bear hug, but with the fans behind him, the "Puerto Rican Superman" Savio Vega soon fired back with some sluggish right hands, sent straight from Puerto Rico! Vega soon mounted a comeback and managed to knock Bulldog down with a big crossbody from the top rope, as James Bradshaw and Uncle Zebekiah suddenly came out to ringside, Vega suddenly distracted by the "Outlaw"s presence. Vega was setting up for the Caribbean Kick, but instead decided to dive through the ropes, taking down Zebekiah and Bradshaw with a big plancha through the ropes! Vega then planned to return to the ring, but when he did, Bulldog raked the eyes and planted Vega with a big Running Powerslam, giving Bulldog the victory!
The crowd booed as the British Bulldog's hand was raised in victory, Clarence Mason joining him in the ring to celebrate alongside his client. Suddenly, James Bradshaw and Uncle Zebekiah also joined in on the action, stomping away at the outnumbered, defenseless Savio Vega! Vega was worked over by Bradshaw and Zebekiah when suddenly "Make A Difference" Fatu ran out to the ring, Fatu hitting the ring and taking Bradshaw out with the Samoan Shuffle Kick! Fatu clotheslined Bulldog over the top rope, as Fatu had cleared the ring! "Make A Difference" aided to Vega, as Clarence Mason was beside himself at ringside, WWF Superstars going off the air. | 00:58 |
| NEXT WEEK: "THE MASTODON" VADER BATTLES PHINEOUS I. GODWINN; THE NEW ROCKERS TAKE ON THE BODYDONNAS; "DOUBLE J" JEFF JARRETT AND "AGENT" DEAN DOUGLAS INTRODUCE THE WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN INVITATIONAL TO SUPERSTARS; RILEY O'FINLAY BATTLES DUKE "THE DUMPSTER" DROESE; PLUS, THE "BAD GUY" RAZOR RAMON AND JAMES BRADSHAW WILL BE IN ACTION! |

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, May 13, 1996
- Ray "The Crippler" Stevens died on Friday morning at the age of 61. Stevens is often cited as one of the best workers in the past fifty years, starting his career at the age of 15. Stevens wrestled all over the United States, competing in Roy Shire's California territory in the 1950s through to the 1970s, where he frequently sold out San Francisco's famous Cow Palace and won nine United States Championships in his tenure with Shire's territory. He began to slow down going into the 1980s, having a short tenure in the World Wrestling Federation, where he feuded with Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and eventually started doing color commentary alongside Vince McMahon. Last year Stevens had major heart bypass surgery, and unfortunately he died on Friday morning in his sleep from heart failure.
- Diesel has been treating the locker room unfairly since it became clear that he would be leaving on June 1 of this year. With his final angle being the storyline with Shawn Michaels, Diesel has insisted that he be booked strong, otherwise he will walk out on the company ahead of time. Because of this, he has been kept out of the ring (apart from the go-home week of television, where he is to compete). On the contrary, Shawn Michaels despite his minor concussion suffered at In Your House two weeks ago will be competing tonight on RAW, but in a more limited capacity than particular. Michaels was featured in an in-ring attack by Diesel last week, but reportedly is fine despite this.
- Owen Hart suffered a torn rotary cuff at In Your House two weeks ago, and is expected to return to the ring by July, though it is unknown whether it will be as a main event talent or a midcarder after the ratings for RAW have sagged in recent weeks. Similarly, Sid - who was injured during the tour of Germany mid-last month with a neck injury, has had surgery and is expected back hopefully by the end of the summer. Yokozuna, who has been off of television since last month to sell an injury from Vader and lose weight, has allegedly made a lot of progress, losing 15lbs in that time. With the ratings sagging, it could be that Yokozuna will make a return to the ring faster than anticiapted - but one can imagine only for televised events, as WWF officials hope for Yokozuna to lose another 80lbs. Additionally, Billy Gunn has successfully recovered from his neck injury, and the Smoking Gunns tag team have made a return to the live event circuit as of this past week.
- The World Wrestling Federation has signed Flex Kavana, Mosh and Thrasher from the United States Wrestling Association. Kavana is a third-generation talent, the son of Rocky Johnson and the grandson of "High Chief" Peter Maivia, whereas Mosh and Thrasher were previously in Smokey Mountain Wrestling before it closed its doors, and recently appeared on WWF television under the team name "The Arachnoids".
- This past edition of Monday Night RAW saw a drop in the ratings, down to a 3.2 rating compared to last week's 3.4. Monday Nitro continues to strive, scoring a 3.9. Bad news for the World Wrestling Federation as its' competition continues to dominate going into the two hour format change Nitro will undergo later this month.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 5/6/1996. In results from the show: - Mankind def. Bob Holly. - Fatu def. The British Bulldog. - Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas def. The Bushwhackers in a non-title match. - Tatanka vs Riley O'Finley; no-contest
- WWF In Your House is live on pay-per-view on 5/26/1996. The card is as follows: - Shawn Michaels vs Diesel for the WWF Championship. - The Undertaker & Paul Bearer vs Mankind & Waylon Mercy - The Ultimate Warrior vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a no-disqualification match. (spec.) - Marc Mero vs Steve Austin - Jake Roberts vs Jerry Lawler. (spec.) - Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas defend the WWF Tag Team Championships?

My round...
After making Finley look strong in the opener and the rest of the week for that matter. We got to the highly anticipated face off between HBK & Diesel.
At the time this would have been huge in trying to work out if everyone would have got it but it was well written and hypes their match very well.
Invitational got off to a quick start. Mid 90's WWE tag team wrestling was pants.
Surprised Fatu beat Bulldog so soon after Bulldog beat Diesel but suppose that's why it was an upset. If Vader is in line for a summer title program and later a program with Bret he needs to start beating more names like Ahmed & Razor but there's still time for that.
I'm a fan of a good sit down interview, good start with Jake tonight. Your doing good work with Jake a lot of effort has gone into him recently.
Can't picture Mercy & Mankind. Not sure I like it, feels like it's holding Mankind back a bit. I'll give it time but at the minute my feelings are Mankind don't need Waylon Mercy.
Superstars
I know you put the timings down the side but Superstars felt rather long this week.
Waltman/Holly would have been decent good win for Waltman who had a strong night dropping Ahmed later too.
You pushed Finley/Duke hard for next week harder than any other match next week actually. Big week for Finley next week.
Nice touch with the Mero, Warrior & HBK promos.
Good to see Bulldog get a win in the Main get some heat back. Only for Fatu to clear the ring afterwards.
Originally thought Bulldog beating Diesel was setting Bulldog up for a future title shot and maybe it is but a rivalry with Fatu at the minute screams mid card. Should have just put Diesel over at the PPV as Fatu beating Bulldog still would have been classed as an upset.
Overall a strong week of television with IYH hotting up. One thing I am also keeping my eye on now around this time is your usage of Steve Austin. I'm intrigued...
