I'd agree with Merle more than anyone else from Walking Dead who has gone so far. Andrea and Dale weren't used nearly as well as they were in the comics, T-Dog was a disaster for the majority of the show, and Shane had to go because it came down to him or Rick. Jon Bernthal was a huge hit to the acting core though, that guy was perfect in that role. I would have liked to see Rooker and Bernthal stick around if it made sense to the story.

Dale and Andrea from Walking Dead. Dale was the man! And Andrea's death was unfulfilling to me. There was so much she could've done in the upcoming seasons. It just seemed Mazzara and Kirkman couldn't agree on how to end the season and just killed off Andrea for shock value. Also T-Dog, I heard they were gonna ax Carol, who I don't like whatsoever so that bugs me. Also Merle's death bummed me out but I saw it coming so I wasn't too upset.

Mr. Eko from LOST. I've watched all the seasons at least 4 times now and I still don't understand why they killed off a character with such potential and a good backstory at that. Plus he wasn't in the church at the end. his character actually had a 4 season arc planned out for him, but the actor requested to leave because of something having to do with his parents. i don't remember what the whole thing was, but basically it came down to his family being more important than the show he was working on. that being said however, i definitely do think the character was killed off far too soon. and opie from sons of anarchy. even though he was originally supposed to die in season 1, i still think there was so much more to do with him. but at the same time, his death is exactly what needed to happen for jax to turn into the character he's turned into since.

Boone served no real purpose other than John's lackey. Void was later briefly filled by Charlie. So no loss there.
Dale needed to die because he was the voice of reason and the conscious of the group. He still had way too much humanity to be a survivor. T-Dog started to fill this role but quickly died.
Andrea in the show was just a dumb whore. They entire series. All she did was complain, almost get others killed, cry, and brag about how good a shot she was. She had nothing going for her and I seriously doubt she would have contributed much after her death.
I'll agree on Opie only because the way he died. I feel like they still had room to go with the Clay/Opie fued. Dying in a prison so his friends could survive had no real meaning other than him being a loyal friend. Should have just killed the Irish guy. Yes, I forgot his name.
All Game of Thrones deaths just go along with the books so can't really say they died too early.
All just my opinions. I honestly can't think of anyone right now that I think died too soon.

Plus he wasn't in the church at the end. I also agree with the Boone statement I would have loved to see his character play out some more. Towards his death his character really seemed brainwash and like a emotionless goon Locke had been using. Seems like he was turning into a dark character and could've became something much much more. For Charlie I think his death was fine. He was one of the best characters for the most memorable seasons. I think to most fans hes already immortalized as one of the best characters on the show. And just as a little fanboy thing for LOST also Mikhail (The Russian with an eyepatch from the others) To me his character was such a badass I would of loved learning his backstory more and seeing more than just 2-3 episodes before he went all grenade kamikaze on Charlie. - Eko requested to be killed off so he could grieve as his parents had both just died in a car accident. He wasn't in the church because he was asking for a ridiculous amount of money for a cameo appearance. - I think Boone and Locke would have ended up being kind of evil/separate from the rest of the survivors had he not died. He'd already cut ties with Shannon and was only hanging with Locke. - Yeah they definitely should have had Mikhail live longer.

Opie Winston from Sons of Anarchy. He was one of my favorite characters and it was sad to see him go, I thought they could've done more with him and Jax for at least another season or two.
Merle, Dale, and Shane from The Walking Dead. Couldn't stand Andrea, so I'm glad she got the boot.

To keep on the SOA track, I have to say Chief Hale. Just as you thought he was starting to side with the Sons and become that crooked cop he always hated, he gets killed. I really started to like his character toward the end of season 2 and was looking forward to what he had in store for the 3rd season.

I agree with most of the fore-mentioned. Tony B from Sopranos. I'd also add Big Puss to that list. Doakes from Dexter would be the perfect fit for this category for me. I'd add Rita to the list too--I didn't care for her much, but after her death, the show got real bad IMO. I agree with Dale, Merle and Andrea for TWD too. I think Shane had to go, otherwise things would've just got stale between him and Rick. Most of all, I was pissed Andrea went. I hated her in the show, but towards the end, she was beginning to mirror comic book Andrea and I was getting pumped for more of that in Season 4.
And, I agree totally about Hale from SOA. I couldn't even believe that one happened. He had so much more to do in that show. I was pissed about Opie and Piney, but not too surprised. I do wish we got to see Op as the VP for a bit though.
The only one I'll add that I haven't seen (nor do I think I will see) is Renham Denham from the IT Crowd. It brought Douglas into the show which is awesome, but still.

Ned Stark. They killed the best character in the entire series in the first season imo. Sean Bean was incredible in that role too. Easily one of my favorite tv characters of all time. I'd agree with Doakes as well. That had a time table though because Doakes had Dexter figured out so quickly. The only way to keep him around was put him behind bars or kill him. Kate from White Collar is another one for me. This would probably be mine as well, kinda killed her off way too soon. Doesn't help she was nice to look at.

Rita had to go in Dexter because she became irritating as F*ck.nearly every scene she had in season 4 was driving me wrong.

Plus the whole thing with the neighbor. it must have been because Julie Benz said she was leaving so they decided to make her character crapon the way out.......if they had left her likeable her departure would have meant more.
