WCWA Synthetic #20
May 24th 2006
South Point Arena
Las Vegas, Nevada
MAIN EVENT
Steel Cage Match
WCWA World Heavyweight Title Match
Claudio Castagnoli ©
vs.
Eddie Kingston
Delusions of Grandeur was had doubt within the main event. The decision to the main event was swayed by interference from Chris Hero, not only to assist Claudio Castagnoli in his victory, but also to hurt him when Kingston got control of the loaded elbow pad and used it on Kingston. On Synthetic, there will be no outside interference. There will be no foreign objects brought into play. Because on Synthetic, Castagnoli and Kingston will be locked inside a fifteen foot high steel cage to do battle, to resolve their situation once and for all.
WCWA International Title Match
Tommy End ©
vs.
Joey Ryan
Last week on Synthetic, Joey Ryan unsuccessfully cashed in his prize for being the solo winner of the Lethal Lottery tournament against Claudio Castagnoli, a losing effort to end Castagnoli's winning streak and capture the Heavyweight Championship. This week on Synthetic, he challenges Tommy End for the International championship. Will he be able to take End's championship, or will he be just another victim to the path of destruction and broken bodies that Tommy End has left behind him?
WCWA World Junior Heavyweight Grand Prix
SeXXXy Eddy
vs.
Michael Façade
At Delusions of Grandeur, Michael Facade re-debuted as a member of the BLK Out, joining Ruckus in the tag team gauntlet match, ultimately winning the gauntlet match and racking up three points. Facade carried his weight in this victory with his deadly new finishing move, the Arashikage Driver. Similarly, last week on Synthetic, Facade went up one point in the Junior Heavyweight Grand Prix with the Arashikage Driver, putting away Jimmy Jacobs. This week he does battle with two time former World Junior Heavyweight Champion SeXXXy Eddy as part of the grand prix. This will be Eddy's first match in the grand prix, and Facade's biggest test to date!
WCWA World Junior Heavyweight Grand Prix
Junior Heavyweight title match
Pac ©
vs.
Jimmy Jacobs
Sometimes break ups can be hard. Jimmy Jacobs is proof of this. Ever since the love of his life, Lacey, mysteriously disappeared, Jacobs has been a wreck. When Lacey reappeared at Delusions of Grandeur at the side of Jacobs' former best friend Nathan Kelley, reverting to his fun, dancing persona of Nate Webb, Jacobs simply crumbled. The other fractured structure of Jacobs crumbled to dust. He's mourning and he's miserable. Jacobs gets the opportunity to turn his luck around on Synthetic as he does battle with the new WCWA World Junior Heavyweight champion, Pac. Jacobs is 0-1 in the grand prix so far, while Pac is 1-0, defeating Sitoci for the championship in his opening match. But the way the grand prix is formatted, everyone faces everyone once, and this is Jacobs' opportunity. Will he seize the day?
Tag Team Match
The Kings of Wrestling (Emil Sitoci & Sara Del Ray) (0)
vs.
Danny Havoc & LuFisto (0)
Emil Sitoci is well known for being absolutely disgusted by death matches. He hates them. He hates the idea of them. And this week on Synthetic, he'll be staring face to face with two death match heroes, Danny Havoc and LuFisto. It's an intergender tag team match as a new pairing of the Kings of Wrestling, the undefeated American Joshi champion Sara Del Ray and the former World Junior Heavyweight Champion Emil Sitoci do battle with "The Death Match Drunkard" Danny Havoc and "The Missionary of Violence" LuFisto.
Terry Funk addresses WCWA, from the Double Cross Ranch
On the last edition of Synthetic, WCWA Hardcore Hall of Famer Terry Funk came to the ring to address his disgust with Necro Butcher. The fact that Necro Butcher had sold out to Joey Eastman disgusted Terry Funk so much that he had to confront Necro about it. Funk gave a passionate speech.. And was ultimately beatdown by Necro Butcher at the behest of Joey Eastman. On Synthetic, Funk addresses what Necro did to him via satellite from the Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.
Ten Person Tag Team Match
Joey Eastman Worldwide (Necro Butcher, Lance Storm, Darin Corbin, Ryan Cruz, & Joey Eastman)
vs.
The Messiah, Nick Mondo, CJ Otis, Portia Perez & Shane Douglas
There's a WHOLE LOT going on in this match, so try to stay with me. Necro Butcher won the World Death Match title, after joining Joey Eastman Worldwide, and defeating Nick Mondo. The Messiah and Lance Storm have been embroiled in a lengthy feud, after Storm broke Messiah's leg. Shane Douglas has been outspoken for a long time from the commentary table about Joey Eastman, and his problems with Lance Storm go almost fifteen years back. This is Joey Eastman's in ring debut and the first match Portia Perez will be having against men. It's also CJ Otis' second match, after his successful debut at Delusions of Grandeur. I doubt this one stays in control for long.
Tag Team Match
Nate Webb & Lacey (0)
vs.
The BLK Out (Ruckus & Allison Danger) (0)
Where is Lacey? Well, she's teaming with Nate Webb this week on Synthetic! Lacey returns to in ring competition with her new friend, to do battle with Ruckus (who already has three points for title contention with Michael Facade) and former WCWA American Joshi champion Allison Danger. I think rather than "Where is Lacey", the important question during this match will be "Where is Jimmy?"
