Saw this on the Pic Fed Board and thought it was a really cool idea. How 'bout we all contribute to a monthly WFWF Magazine or something. We can recap the past month or so with results, quick interviews and the such. Haha.
Also, what's going on with the Developmental/House Shows? I really liked Shawn's idea of the specialty writing aspect where we can practice while gaining feedback from others and the such. Haha.

I like the Magazine idea, but I am not sure about how others would work in to their schedules, given the need for feedback on rps, rping, promos...etc...I still like the idea though

It kind of got shot down in a round about way. We get some new signups I might be able to persuade my fellow powers that be to give it a chance. But we need you guys to help us get out there and recruit new people that will stick around for the place guys. Haha.

we is not big enough for a House Show...and getting rpers is like pulling teeth. The best you can do is go through roughkut and find the feds that allow advertisement, and do so...also do so on roughkut....that, and being active member of other federation...etc...
besides maybe asking creative writers you know outside of forums...etc.

Yeah. We have tried RK in the past and found little to know luck. But for anyone interested in giving another stab, I guess persistence might help us in the long run. But asking any writing friends or wrestling fan friends...that is the best way to get people. That was how we originally got Khan and that is also how we got Nitta. So just ask...it would be awesome to have more people here.

I've tried to get people and am still trying but it seems as if the whole Wrestling E-Fed thing is dying down. But the more people we can get, the better we will be for the future. I'm just so glad the activity on here has been increasing daily.

Yeah it has died down but the goal is not to tell them that we are slowly dying down but that there is still tons of fun to be had here.

I have an idea- have you guys thought about setting up Twitter? Like, just a central WFWF twitter where you can follow people and report what's going on in the fed and good stuff you've got coming up that people might be interested in seeing/being part of. I created one for the XWA and it's worked wonders. We've recruited a load of people through it and affiliated with sites and feds too. Just throwin' it out there.

I created one and actually implemented it into a big roleplay. No one really responded to it, and no one followed it, so I never bothered updating it or tried to push the issue.

I love RP Twitters. So much potential.

It's something I've been intending to integrate with the WFWF for a while now since I'm already a part of the fedding twitterverse if you will. In fact after work and once I've written this RP I might do just that.

Them's some priorities, right there

This idea will probably be shot down immediately, but I think a major factor of people not quite being on board is how formulaic the writing has to be. Yes, I know it can't be a jumbled hunk of crap submitted and expect people to make use of it, but the fact that you're sticklers for one particular format might stifle some perspective RPers who don't feel confident enough to try something out of their wheelhouse. I'm not saying that you need to change everything, but why not allow certain people who write prose do so while the scriptwriters simultaneously do their thing. Honestly, I find it easier to read prose; it's just more appealing to the eyes, and I am a comics scriptwriter.
Anyway, you can boot me out if you want, but I'm going to try something a little different with my soon-to-be debut.
Also, stay tuned because very shortly I will be pulling something out my sleeve that may interest some.

There have been people who came along who wrote different styles. Kyzer's stuff was very different from a lot of other people's, in that it often just bounced all over the place to get to it's eventual point. It resembled the universe of a drug addict, which is what he wanted. I personally adapted the "strong monologue with no description" to close roleplays and a lot of people have bit on that too. And Rev comes up with all sorts of quirky shit. I have no idea what you're trying to say.

I clicked on a couple threads, noticed they were in a similar style, then went to the section about homing your skills and saw a post by one of the leaders here that said something along the lines "This is where RPing begins and ends." I guess I took that the wrong way. I thought he was saying "This is how you need to do it," instead of "These are good examples of RPers who understand how to do it." Sorry for the confusion. I should educate myself a bit more, obviously.

The winners of the Battle Royal at the last ppv, all cater to a few diff. styles in their own way.

Honestly I really think that this just comes down to a miss interpretation of what the House Show/Development Center (which is no longer in use) was used for. It was a place (at least when I was there) for people who had no or very little experience to get to grips with the basics of writing and RPing. Anyone absolutely is free to write in whatever style they want, you just have to look at Yukio's RPs for the last few months to see that. What I think you've seen in the Development Center was not a 'you have to do it like this' post, but a 'this is a good starting point' post. No one is going to stop you writing whatever you want. At least that's what I think has happened here. The Development Center and Guidebook could probably do with being cleared up though.

Guidebook was recently cleared up...and the development center only has two things pinned that were important...and those are written by mike. Wait...when did I say there was only one way to rp? Just being honest, I don't remember saying it...and if it was when I was younger...I don't care then lol
