Basically, what are everyone's thoughts on this match? Why have they never done it again since?
I loved it. As a kid I wore out my Armageddon 2000 VHS to the point where it no longer worked. It was one of the few matches I loved that didn't involve The Rock winning; aged 7 I was still understandably at the stage where if my favourite lost the match sucked (a stage that some WF members appear to still be in). I think that its one of the best 6 man matches of all time, along with the original EC at SS02 and the first TLC matches. It always confused me why they never did another - even if they now have the EC it could be a good bit of variety, and if the feud really warranted it the match could be spectacular.

I loved it, second favourite hell in a cell match. I too had the VHS, and watched it all the time (mainly because of the Kane/Y2J match) but I still loved rewatching it. Rikishi getting thrown off is sick! I guess they've not done another because of the elimination chamber matches, which sucks

I loved it and the story of McMahon trying to stop it from happening. The EC was cool the first few times it was used, but the WWE has overused it so much that it has lost its appeal to me. The HIAC has also been way overused in recent years, but a 6 man HIAC would be something different even if it is the PG era.

I remember when it was first announced, it sounded like the most epic match of all time. I wasn't a huge fan of it when it actually happened though. It was good, but not great. I guess they just never did it again because a year later was the Invasion stuff which meant everyone was on one team or another rather than six guys all opposing each other... And then a year after that they invented the chamber.

It's one of my favorite matches. I used to watch it all the time back in the day, watched it again recently and it still holds up. It is one the Attitude Era DVD basically unedited (save Taker's entrance music) in case anyone was wondering.

yes this was an excellent outing.its worth noting the nearly exact same storyline basically gave birth to the EC 2 years later.a group constantly scrapping and
anyhow-yeah I loved it and it was a booking success on every level.
1)it correctly didn't dethrone Angle plus he looked good in here.....not dominant but a great heel survivor.plus Kings cries of anguish about him throughout are priceless
2)it tested and whetted the crowds appetite(very successfully) for another Austin/Rock match.
3)it furthered HHHs feud with Austin.
4)Angles opportunistic pin on Rock squared up the RR ME.
5)most crucially of all.......not one competitor here looked weak.
a genuine booking victory.

I might be part of the minority but I didn't enjoy this match when it happened. I thought it was a clustercluck with too much to follow during the match. Twelve years late, I gave this match a viewing on the Attitude Era Blu-ray, and I enjoy this match more now compared to when it happened. Looking at it with 24 year old eyes versus 12 year old eyes, makes a difference. While there was too much going on, it was the better choice to put all of the competitors in one match versus three separate encounters. The same situation arose in 2003 with the SummerSlam Elimination Chamber match
I do understand the purpose of having this match. It teased as to what was to come. Triple H vs. The Undertaker (WrestleMania X-Seven), The Rock vs. Steve Austin ('Mania X-Seven), and Steve Austin vs. Triple H (No Way Out '01). What's funny with the two Hell In A Cell matches in '00 is that the two victors would have a match the following month at the '01 Royal Rumble.
I am glad the right man went over. They kept Kurt Angle looking strong while now devaluing the other participants. I think I'll give this match another viewing soon. I do agree this match planted the seed in which would become the Elimination Chamber.

I liked it, the flatbed truck was the only thing that was a head scratcher to me. It seemed pretty obvious they were setting up for a big bump.

Remember watching it the next day after school with my dad, thought it was brilliant, he kept rewinding the Rikishi bump, he thought it was hilarious unlike the Foley bump 2 years prior in which he rewound a good 20 times or so in disbelief.

It was ok but I certainly wasn't blown away by this match at all.
I'd rather watch Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels in the cell any day.
The idea of a 6 man cage match was probably just replaced with the elimination chamber.

I think the match is slightly overrated. There's definitely more epic HIAC matches. It was pretty cool to see some different faces in there though.
