Today's generation is terrible I hate all 16 year old sluts and pregnant 16 years old and I also hate all the racism going on its terrible ( im 13 ) Im willing to bet that racism, in the political sense, is at an all time low now considering Civil Rights and the Abolition of Slavery compared to previous generations. Technically Emma Stone is Generation Y. We're currently presently living through Generation Z. I know what you're getting at though!  For those wondering, while there's no "set years" for generations, Ive seen them best described by the following Lost Generation (1880-1900)
Greatest Generation (1901-1924)
Silent Generation (1925-1945)
Baby Boomers (1946-1964)
Generation X (1965-1979)
Generation Y (1980-1995)
Generation Z (1996-Present) Oh really? I didn't know we were in a generation which started in 1996. In that case this generation is effin terrible. The best thing it had going for it was Emma Stone who wasn't even born in this generation. Generation Z should be renamed Generation Zzzzzzzz because it's boring. That's just how Ive most commonly seen it listed. Like I said, there's really no right or wrong way to list generations. Ive seen it listed by wars as well. WW1-WW2 is one generation, WW2-Vietnam is another generation, Vietnam-Desert Storm is another generation, Desert Storm-War on Terrorism is another (and current) generation....Its just how you want to interpret it really. |

Silent generation starts with the great depression, ends with WWII, Baby boomers are the people drafted into world war 2, raising their children through the boom period, Generation X is marked by the baby boomers Children and the assassination of JFK, this goes up to the challenger explosion which starts Generation Y (me) and Generation Z is marked by WTC 9/11. there are a few years in between that makes some people part of both, but this is generally accepted as how you look at what generation someone is from. Though I don't think your dates are completely accurate. Another thing is, Each generation's parents work harder so their kids don't have to. "To give them a better life than they had" But what ended up happeneing is kids now a days get everything handed to them, They are made sure not to ever see the harshness of reality and what can actually happen in the real world, and they have everything. They grow up with the mentality of "I'm special 1 of a kind, If something breaks I can just replace it (objects and people alike)" And when they "fall on hard times" there's always someone to take care of them and essentially pay for their life so they don't have to. there were these kids standing in front of wal-mart raising money, So that the whole little league they were in could have trophies, wheather they won or lost. So... Everybody just gave up on teaching good sportsmanship and just says "Everybody wins!" So... Why should you ever try to be better if you're gonna get the pay out anyways? |

This isn't just a knock on our generation, but society in general: ever notice that everyone is always in a hurry, but still extremely lazy? Kinda seems like an oxymoron to me.

I hate all the wannabe gangster swag or whatever you call most teens these days. Even kids at elementary schools are acting like
some wannabe gangster kids now it's a shame. They're almost as bad as Hipsters now a days. If you have a Facebook you can see for yourself about 90%
of teens in their are some swag wannabe gangster kid, they all look the same and equally dumb.

It's also amazing the stuff that comes out of kids mouths, 4-5 year olds saying any word they want as soon as their parents step away. Names they call each other. When I was in school we only said hell and damn and ass, I can understand that. Go sit by a mcdonalds play place and listen to the crap, you'll probably learn a few new words ><;

As Slappy said on the previous page, underage pregnancy is down by almost half since 1991. You're always going to get parents who don't give a about their children in any age group. It's not exclusive to teen mothers. |

Woah, a bit over the top. What do you have against pregnant women? And what is wrong with girls getting pregnant at a young age (I mean 16+)? Just because a girl gets pregnant doesn't mean she is stupid. Get your head out of your snobby ass. He isn't saying girls are stupid and I doubt he is snobby. He is making the wise observation that babies are having babies. At 16 your a still a child with no life experience who is being thrust into a very difficult situation, physically and mentally. Forget the economical impact of having a child think about the psychological. Not just the child but the parent. I'm not saying all 16 year olds are incapable if being good parents. I'm sure there are success stories but they are probably rare. As far as this generation being lost your still too young. My generation(I'm 30) is looking better. I too thought that our generation would lack leadership and would struggle. I see light at the end of the tunnel for us because of all things the Internet. The Internet has made us wiser and our voices can be heard i forums like this. Even though this is collectibles forum here we are discussing a social issue. |

Besides having sex when they're not emotionally mature enough to handle it and besides getting knocked up and having a severe negative effect on their lives not to mention the negative effect on their kids life being raised by a young, uneducated, probably single, mom? Besides all that? Nothing at all is wrong with it. |
