I take it you need a special screwdriver to take the car off the base? Or just stab at the base with a screwdriver or scissors until it breaks into two pieces, then unscrew them. I have a few screwdrivers from Snap-On that say Do not Use as a Prybar or Chisel on them. I wouldn't recommend using any screwdriver for that purpose. I Noticed the Darlington Throwback Kevin Harvick car had the base on it as well. The only reason I want the Yuengling car is because Yuengling is from my area`

How did you ruin it? You didn't just set it on the table or in a vise and did it did you? You just gotta hold it by the Diecast and hit the base until it cracks.

I kept stabbing the base with a chisel That's not really answering my question. I asked if you held the Diecast while you did it or if you used another method. Once it cracks in half you just twist the two halves off. I've cracked dozens of bases and have never had a car break.

I use a small hand saw to get mine off. I wedge some cardboard or hard plastic between the base and the car just in case then just take a saw and saw it in two. Then just twist them off like mentioned above.

I somehow missed that Lionel had a new YouTube show and showed off the Kansas win. It's pretty ing awesome how they did the decal work to replicate the QP being torn off instead of just painting it black like in the past. I was a little nervous that M&M's wouldn't let 'em splice Red in 1/2 on the diecast but they did! Kyle "Rowdy" Busch

So judging by that video, John Force is no longer sponsored by Castrol?

So judging by that video, John Force is no longer sponsored by Castrol? Haven't been in a few seasons. Believe they announced they were leaving in '13 and finished up in the '14 season.

I don't really follow up on NHRA outside of Anton Brown who drives the Matco Tools car. I'm shocked that Castrol left John Force. I'd never thought they would stop sponsoring him
