testors acrylic is the way to go. make sure you wash your figure with warm, soapy water before you paint it.

I went to three different stores and I could not find any good Testors paints. I found the Testors but not the acrylics type. I got a set of Apple Barrel paint. Will this work as well or should I add something to the paint like sealer? I am wanting to make a new Rambo 4 figure. This will be my first ever custom. Please help me out. Thanks

apple barral is very weak paint, and is not made for figures. many people still use it though, but you should water the paint down first so it isnt as thick. you can do it well by wetting your brush and mixing it with the paint. one you are done, you MUST seal your custom.

try to find hobby shops in your area. also look for games workshop paints aka warhammer paints. those are nice, but should be watered down too.

Should I pick up any sealer or I will not need it?

Hey guys! 1st post. I have looked all over but I can't seem to find any discussions about the rubber ljn figures. Does anyone know what the best type of paint will be on those? What about colored sharpies for detail? Will the sharpies fade/bleed?? Thanks for any advice.

Anybody know of a good sealer that has a sparkly finish? I'm not talking about glossy; it looks like there's little crystals in the paint after you've sealed it.

Ok guys, I plan on painting on a R3 tech Triple H body (all I want to do is black out the 'H' cross logo in the front). I was wondering, for something so small, which is the best paint? Will I need sealer for such a small spot? Also, this is for a Jamie Noble custom, and I planned on painting some sort of design (Unionjack flag...?) on his trunls; best paint to use? Sealer? Thanks guys . (and if this is not the right place for this, I apologize ahead of time)

always use acrylic paint. no matter what. as for the best paint, go with testors acrylic. make sure its not enamel. and a good sealer would be krylon crystal clear

I was on testors site but when you look at the paints it shows a generic pic and prmotion for their new gloss, so could anyone post what the 4 "skin tones" look like?
