Hey bro, I recently ordered my own r3 Kane to try to do this, what exactly did you stick the head in with? Pliers and some Krazy Glue.

Didn't realize this was a bump at first. Anyway, it is amazing work. Mattel really Sid miss the mark with their headsculpt. Nowhere near the right shape and dimensions. This guy's paint also helps make this custom. Very cool work!

Someone bumped my favourite thread on the board ...
It's difficult, I had to chop away at my Kane a lot more then I'd like to admit. Totally worth it to get the head to work mind.

I don't get how neither Jakks nor Mattel has been able to recreate that awesome headscan. It's so perfect.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Lol I was surprised to see this bumped!
I still love my kanes, and I hope one day mattel will make a sculpted half mask kane circa 2002. The rsc exclusive is great, but sculpted would be more accurate

Hey bro, I recently ordered my own r3 Kane to try to do this, what exactly did you stick the head in with? Hey bud, really all I did was hollow out the head...I used an exacto knife and pocket knife to cut out big chunks in the neck area and up into the head. Check every once in a while to see how it will sit on the neck of the body. Mine originally sat up too high, so then I had to keep cutting. You also don't want him to have no neck, so just use your judgment and what looks best to you. Now, to keep it there is really simple...glue, and lots of it. Like I said before, you loose articulation but it's worth it. This particular R3 was a swivel joint only, so no ball joint. Perhaps a more seasoned customizer could fix something up to retain articulation? Either way, I justified it because A. It looks better, and B. The hair limited articulation anyway. Hope this helps!

Oh thanks bro, will do my best. Well articulation is a small price to pay for replacing hot garbage with awesomeness. Thankyou for the advice.

Who cares if this was bumped, because I know people will complain later on. Anyways, the work is incredible. Great switch. I'm also a big fan of the hardcore title. Do you mind telling me what you did? Are those markers?

I used citadel/gamesworkshop paints and just dry brushed the blue and reds so they looked like spray paint. I also did a wash with black paint to make the plates look grimey

I used citadel/gamesworkshop paints and just dry brushed the blue and reds so they looked like spray paint. I also did a wash with black paint to make the plates look spamy Thanks. I'll have to try that. Great work again. Have you done any other fix ups after these? I'd love to see them if so.

I cannot believe how well your Kane heads turned out. Your action shot of Undertaker vs Mankind is incredible.
This thread wins WFigs for the week!

Damn. Those look so cool. Exceptional work and such a great idea. I have, or think I have, both of those R3 Kane figures somewhere! I don't know where they are but they certainly need to be found!

I know this may sound weird, but I kinda want to have "relations" with that debut Kane! Yeah, I still stand by that.
