I wonder if Arsenio Hall inspired Savage to do the rap album 10 years later?? He straight out says to Savage in that interview that he should do rap. Interesting...

Another thing people should realize is that steroids dont just make you big when you take them. Proper diet and training your ass off do. Steroids are just a small tool that help your body repair itself quicker and grow faster and stronger, when everything else is in check. That being said, its very likely Savage neve even came off steroids but just let his diet go to crap and quit training with the same intensity. As for the ones claiming steroids are the reason he died, id have to dissagree. The risks of steroids are very overexaggerated and there is no long term research done to prove any claims at this point. The only thing you can go by at this point is the condition older guys are in now that you know have been using for a long time. Personally Id say there are a lot more doing just fine than dead. Look at Hogan, Arnold, Stallone, etc.. Weider just died and he was old as hell. I will agree though that when combined with other drugs like coke, crack, pills, etc.. Even alcohol really.. Its an accident waiting to happen. Don't believe the hype that the oblivious bodybuilding mags produce. Anabolics are inherently risky, and should only be used for dire medical problems under the care of a qualified physician. Not only can they bind to your cells and cause tumors, arterial plaque build-up, and clots, they are psychoactive. The can exacerbate mental health issues, as possibly be the catalyst for a psychotic break. Here is a recent study: linkThey are extremely toxic. If you are on them, stop immediately. If you have friends on them, do everything you can to talk them into stopping.

I didnt get the info out of a bodybuilding magazine and tbh, a bodybuilding magazine would be the last place that would make steroids seem safe. they are trying ti sell otc supplements instead so tgat would be stupid. As for tge risks..Thats why you get bloodwork done regularly and monitor blood pressure, etc... There is a risk with everything . However there are safe ways if you know what youre doing. How many cases have you heard of someone dying from steroids? Im willing to bet not many, if ever. Can they lead to problems, sure but so can 90% of the crap we consume on a daily basis.

Its pretty much confirmed that he has. Wrestlemania 5 he wore an elbow wrap. He noted that his elbow was messed up after going off of steroids. Also, 97% of WWF wrestlers in the 80s were on the juice. I couldn't confirm any other substances nor would I drag Mach's name through the mud like that, but based on the landscape I really don't think there was any shame in doing roids in the 80s in the WWF. Even Bret Hart did them for awhile.

of course he did. i imagine he used them nearly his entire career, considering how obsessed with his image he was.

yeah I seem to remember watching a talk show interview and being kinda surprised about how candidly he talks about it. *googles* around the 5 minute mark although the whole thing is worth watching for the madness. Thanks for sharing that! I'd never seen it. Good stuff.
