I noticed that the basic Cm Punk figures don't have the "Drug Free" tattoo on the hands. Are they all without this detail? I ask this because I hate closed fists and i'd like to do some hand swap on my elites but obviously elites have the right hand open and left one closed, basics have left hand open and right one closed. Here are some pics as example:   |

I think his first basic had it, then the second didn't. Mattel said it was for legal reasons, but then his second elite came out and had it.

Well the basic Punks have black X's (except for some series like B18 that has blue X's), so they match figures like the RSE Punk, Elite 1 and Elite 6. |

I thought that Mattel said that they couldn't say "drug" on a basic, even if it said "drug free."
If so, I'd imagine that's because some people would get their shorts in a knot over it.

The tape to me seems like it goes over the fist more than it does his elite in those preference pictures.

I thought I read once that it was because the basic figures are geared towards younger kids and didnt want to have the word drug on them. Where as the more detailed elite figures are geared toward collectors.

His figure from Basic Series 2 had them, but then they removed them probably because it goes over the budget.
All of his Elite figures though have had the "Drug Free" tattoos on his fingers. |

Yeah, the basics haven't been having the tattoo behind the ear and on his left shoulder either. It's a budgetary concern. The first basic I remember for sure having them. They're all in a box right now so I don't have the other ones at arms length to be able to tell when they stopped putting it on them.
