That's a big collection. I'd sell the customs and hard to find figs separately and the less wanted ones in smaller lots.

Don't sell them. Even if you cant afford to buy more you should still keep the ones you have, because you most likely will end up regretting it.
If you're needing the money to get a place to live then that's reasonable, but if you're just selling them because you cant afford to buy more then that's dumb. Keep the ones you have until the time is right where you can get more if you want them and can afford them.

Thanks for the advice guys! I'll think about it. I was thinking it would be less painful to get rid of them all in one swoop rather than separately but I'll weigh up my options

Yeah definitely selling them just now wondering if selling as one giant lot is the way to go or if selling in smaller lots would be better

I like how when it comes to guys selling their collection on here it is usually followed with "girlfriend", "wife", "baby" or "moving in together"
Why not just keep them and stop collecting?? Why sell them??

Thanks for the comments on the customs and fix ups. I had so much fun making them! Well I've had lots of pm's from people and I'm working a 12 hour shift tomorrow so after work tomorrow I'll get back to you all. Thanks for all the interest

But piecing them out would get you maximum dollar. The thing about fair is that it's a price you're both happy with. He probably want the best discount he can get and you don't want to feel like you got less than expected. The truth is it takes time, work, and effort into getting the most out of them. If I were you, I'd I'd take retail prices and times it by the amount you have. Then, decide the mark up or mark down, factor in whether your good friends or just a contact, and let it go. Don't put the whole lot on eBay, I rarely see a lot as impressive as this go for more than $400... Hey, word of advice. If you are doing this for the girl, don't! You're going to build up a resentment. You don't know it now, but, years later, you will. You've got to commit to the change. |
