As the title says, I thought dolph ziggler never would've made it in a million years. Not that I don't like the guy, but the name and the gimmick through me off, but the fued and matches with cena we're very entertaining and his current run with aj has got me to like the guy a little bit. I thought this would be a fun topic to think and discuss about.

CM Punk. Watched the ECW Eli chamber earlier today and no way in hell did I think that guy is the same guy that held the title for 434 days.
Same with Daniel Bryan when he first came to WWE.

Though I liked Miz from the get go, the guy has lasted a lot longer than I think most would have guessed.
For the longest time I feared for Punk and Bryan's job. Every time they lost I was convinced WWE was going to release them. Even after Punk's first reign as World champion I worried. Glad to know I was wrong.

Batista, never saw anything in him until he started the thing with Triple H really. He always seemed too limited.

Honestly... John Cena, Edge, The Miz and to an extent, Daniel Bryan.

Honestly - when Undertaker made his debut with Brother Love I thought the whole "supernatural" thing was stupid and I never thought he'd become the phenom that he is 22 years later.... same can be said for Kane. WWE officially proved me wrong.
Of the current guys - I had just about given up on Cody Rhodes.... until the last month - his performance at Money In The Bank was awesome and his stuff with Damien Sandow is gold - I hope they can maintain it.

Miz, he still annoys me and I still think he's fairly useless but he's made a career.

Ziggler is number one on my list. Especially when the greasy haired former cheerleader and caddy got busted for drugs before he even (re)debuted.
I suppose I could say Idol Stevens as well.

I read this backwards, as wrestlers who never made it, who you thought should.. Was coming to name drop Donovan Morgan.
It's baffling to me that CM Punk is probably the "number 2" wrestler in the world today, having watched him wrestle in front of literally 20 people in a shithole in Indiana..

Never thought I would be a Miz fan, since I thought he was terrible in the beginning when he was doing the diva search host and crap like that. But his stuff with Morrison on ECW really made me start liking him and he was always getting better every time I saw him in the ring.
Another guy is CM Punk. Not because I didn't think he had it in him, I knew he did. I just didn't think WWE would ever use him to the best of his ability. It took them a while, but I glad he finally made them realize they had a star just waiting to burst out and take over. Daniel Bryan goes in this category as well.

This guy was just another nobody as far as I was concerned. He may as well have been anyone.

Without a doubt John Cena. I'm not even talking his Prototype debut against Angle but to think that the Dr. of Thuganomics is now one of the most popular superstars of all time is insane. I would have never guessed that he would have gotten as big as he is.

CM Punk for sure. When he first came I thought he was higly overrated. One he got into his SES gimmick though he really started impressing me. Oddly enough he is probably my favorite active wrestler today.

Miz Randy Orton Cody Rhodes Ziggler
Miz is terrible and (I hope) is on his way out.
Orton improved drastically but I still cannot stand the guy.
Cody Rhodes hasn't been entertaining since the "Undashing" gimmick.
Ziggler is fantastic. Best worker in WWE.

I honestly never would of thought JBL back in his APA days(and before) would of been WWE Champion let alone for 10 months.
