This season is going to be absolutely amazing.
The opening with Walter revisiting his broken down home and casually saying hello to his former neighbor was pretty badass.
The last scene with Schrader and Walter was very intense, from the moment Hank punched Walter to Walter admitting that he's pretty much a dead man and that he won't be in prison at all.
I'm kind of glad that it's ending. I wouldn't want Breaking Bad to go on for a long time and eventually lose its appeal and wear out its welcome.

I'm kind of glad that it's ending. I wouldn't want Breaking Bad to go on for a long time and eventually lose its appeal and wear out its welcome. I definitely agree. I think that also has a lot to do with the kind of story Gilligan is telling that has one main premise throughout the whole show, the story of Walt has a beginning and an end. The whole wearing out its welcome happens a lot with sitcoms where every episode is a different story so the writers are constantly having the come up with new material. With BB Gilligan creates one main story and executes it over X amount of seasons.

I was on. Vacation this weekend, so I got caught up today. Really enjoyed the episode. The staredown at the end defined intensity. I need someone to refresh my memory here because its driving me crazy. Sunday's opening scene sh owned Walt in front of his car with the gun & a full head of hair. How long ago did we see the same type of jump scene? I thought we saw him purchasing the gun & putting it in the trunk or something. All I remember is that he had a full head of hair like he did here, so I'm trying to make the connection between them.

I imagine that he goes from the Denny's directly to his house.

What a fantastic episode. The ending where Walt delivers the line "If that is true, if you really don't know who you're talking too, then maybe the best course of action would be to tread lightly" is one of the greatest moments in the entire series. I remember reading before the episode aired where on of the producers said that there will be a scene fans have been waiting 5 seasons to see. They were right, and it lived up to the hype and then some. Kudos to both Cranston and Norris, as their acting in the scene was incredible.
Really looking forward to the next 7 episodes. And while Jesse may seem like a lost cause now, I do believe he will have his "moment" if you will. Really intrigued as to how his story ends.

No lie- I will be so damn upset if Badger & Skinny Pete die. They had me nearly pissing myself with the Star Trek dialogue.
I read something odd about Walt, though. Did you ever notice he takes on habits of the people that he killed?
“In Breaking Bad, Walt has a habit of taking on some little traits of the people he has killed. When Walt killed Crazy 8, he started cutting off the crusts of his sandwiches—just as Crazy 8 had done. Gus drives a Volvo. After Walt kills Gus, at the beginning of Season 5 (at the Denny's), Walt is driving a Volvo (w/ NH plates). When Mike and Walt meet at a bar in an earlier season, Walt orders his drink neat while Mike has his on the rocks. After Mike is killed, and Hank offers Walt a drink in his office - he asks for it on the rocks. At that same scene at Denny's, Walt arranges his bacon into his new age. Someone else used to do that. On top of that, he's using Skyler's maiden name on his fake ID. Based on his history of picking up traits from his victims—I believe Walt is going to murder Skyler before the series is over, and it probably had already happened before he showed up at the Denny's in the Season 5 cold open."
I read this & I got a very good laugh from it. "Walter loses everything, goes into witness protection, and assumes his new identity, Hal, and starts a new family." (That's a "Malcolm In The Middle" reference to those that didn't get it)

You know what needs to die?
The weekly television model. I would MUCH rather watch all 8 episodes with some friends, pizza, and surround sound in my basement in one fell swoop.
As for the the rest of the season?

I'd hate it to be all at once, I like the hype and anticipation. Not to mention you can discuss the episodes with people one at a time. marathoning stuff decreases value for episodes in my opinion. Oh and this weeks episode was great too

I'm really glad Skylar is gonna snitch. I think Walt will definitely be dead by the end of all this. Also Mike was right about Lydia she's a lot more crazy then she seems, just ordering all those people getting taken out was crazy!

I can't wait for the Jesse and Hank "talk" next week. What a full circle conversation that will be with Captain Cook. Everything Hank can say to Jesse is essentially just speculation and hopefully it wakes Jesse up from this "poor me and all my money" routine.
The Lydia thing is super interesting to me because it's going to need the DEA's attention. You could think that Lydia is the perfect fall person for everything. Hank can look like a hero and keep his job, Walt can keep the money and protect his family, but we've already seen the White house in ruin. For me, I think there stands a chance it wasn't the DEA that raided Walt's house, but rather Lydia sending Todd after Walt to protect herself. That would explain why Walt was able to really just walk back into his house and get the ricin. The neighbor would have called the cops and he would have seemingly had more urgency if it was the DEA who was chasing after him. Why would Walt need guns to protect himself from the DEA? Also, it seems likely that Lydia would try to have a sit down with Walt and that the ricin would be for her.
This could go in a million different directions, BUT for Walt to protect his family and not have the bad guys win and kill Hank, then Lydia has to go down because there has to be a Heisenberg. That wasn't even on my mind before last night but she seems to be the one person who can help tie this thing up with a giant bow. Todd making a stronger blue meth again is going to be a flag for the DEA and Lydia has a paper trail a mile long following her around.
Again, purely speculative but that is where my brain went last night.

The only thing is, why was his nighbor terrified to see him if the place was just raided by Lydias group?

The only thing is, why was his nighbor terrified to see him if the place was just raided by Lydias group? Yeah, that's a fair point. That's probably an indication the world knows Walt is Heisenberg. I was just trying to fathom an "almost happy" ending. Which I don't think we'll get honestly.

Do you think Jesse will rat Walter out?
Do you think he will finally figure out that Walter could have saved Jane's life or he's responsible for the kid being 'poisoned'?

Walters confession was simply amazing. It really showed how evil he can be.
