Does anyone else have an issue with the sound quality on AMC? All of their shows sound like garbage when broadcast, Breaking Bad being the worst. I'm watching last night's episode right now and I have my volume 5 notches higher than I normally do and I can barely make out dialogue. Sounds hollow and tinny. It's only AMC, and it's really only super noticeable with Breaking Bad.

Which is pretty annoying when they whisper some of the most important things and whispering makes it even harder to understand

And any other platform I've watched it on TV. I thought my settings were screwed up but nope. I always have to have the volume at 100 for soft spoken dialogues, then out of nowhere a song will start BLASTING. For some reason music/sound effects in the show are ssooo much louder than dialouge.

Actually now that you say it i do have to turn it up to almost 100 i thought it was a mix of my tv and having the air blasting, plus my sony has very tempermental sound so i didnt think anything of it

Glad I'm not the only one. It's not even just the fact that the volume is significantly lower, but the sound is distant and tinny. I don't really know how else to describe it. The vocal tracks sound very deflated, making it even harder to understand. It tends to effect all AMC shows, but none more-so than Breaking Bad.

Damn that was excruciating. Still have no idea where the shows going, but one thing is certain. I can't root against Walt.

As much as it pains me, I know that Walt has to get his comeuppance by the end of the series, I don't want Hank to have anything to do with it though. Hank needs to be removed from the picture somehow (not necessarily killed, I don't hate him, he just sucks at his job). The final showdown NEEDS to be Jesse and Walt, with EVERYTHING on the table as far as how many horrible things Walt has done to Jesse. I understand from a show POV that Walt needs to pay, but what would be sadder, him going out in a blaze of glory, or dying slowly and painfully from cancer with everything that he has worked for his entire life gone?
Looks like Jesse tells Hank about the storage unit with the cash, but will presumably find nothing?

I got surround sound just because HD programming, movies etc always sound bad. I just lower the volume on all of my speakers then turn the middle speaker all the way up and it helps balance it but it isnt perfect. They need to realize at home we dont need theater quality sound. Its really terrible living in an apartment watching at a normal volume then an explosion happens and it rattles the whole place.

Anyone else screaming at the TV at jesse to shut his fn mouth tonight? Damn I hated to see him snitch Walt out. Great episode. But I still feel like the season should be longer. 4 more episodes to tell the end to this amazing story just isn't enough.

Yeah season 5a and 5b feel like completely different seasons all together. I really don't want to see Walt and Jesse turned against each other. I was really hoping they would get a good closure. Also I dont want Walt to die from cancer. Would be a total cop out

On to watch Talking Bad!

Felt bad for Walt at the end of the episode. You can also tell Hank lost his sense of morality after he made the remark about not caring whether or not Jesse dies.

Am I the only one having a hard time rooting for Jesse? After Walt killed Mike I was firmly on Jesse's bandwagon, but he's really turned me off with his moping and stupidity. And becoming a rat certainly doesn't make him more likable.
