I soooo picture something like everybody dying that Walt cares about, then Walt being cured of cancer & getting caught & basically just suffering in jail for the rest of his life w/no family or friends left. Didn't the Shield kinda end up like that w/ Mackey?

Didn't the Shield kinda end up like that w/ Mackey? The way the flash forward scene's are, I think it's safe to say Walt has gotten out of any prison time. Maybe he kills Gomez, Jesse, Hank, Marie, and Skyler. The only people that truly know what he is, that would talk.

Am I the only one having a hard time rooting for Jesse? After Walt killed Mike I was firmly on Jesse's bandwagon, but he's really turned me off with his moping and stupidity. And becoming a rat certainly doesn't make him more likable. For me, it's harder to root against Walt than it is to root for someone else. I know Walt needs to go down and get punished for all the bad things that he has done but I always seem to find myself pulling for him to make it out ok. As others have stated, if Walt goes down, it needs to be at the hands of Jesse. I don't want Hank to have anything even resembling a victory over Walt.

First off, TEAM HANK. Since the prison stabbings, I just can't root for Walt and his soul is slowly seeping away as the episodes have rolled on. Hank has always been my favourite character anyway.
Great episode. It's kind of sad to see the final nail in the coffin for the Jesse/ Walt relationship but the show was always about Walt becoming the bad guy and I like the contrast of Jesse finding his morality as he progresses. I do agree that 4 episodes does really feel like it's cutting it tightly. Gilligan has said he is happy with the way it has ended though, so I trust him.
As for the ending, it's tough to call at this point. For one, I am almost convinced he will use the ricin on himself as a means of dying on his own terms. I could definitely see him retrieving the buried money and giving it to his family. After reconnecting with them one last time and Sklyar/ Jr forgiving him, the ricin slowly makes its way through his body. Perhaps the final shot fades to black showing Walt with a subtle smile on his face, knowing he has only hours left but ultimately leaving his family on good terms.

For those who may have wondered what the ringtone was for Jesse's phone.........

I didn't realize until recently how many people hated Skyler. I'll bet a lot more people do now since she basically told Walt to take out Jesse.

This season has been dissapointing for me. Dont get me wrong it is good, but they hyped it up way to much.

Dont get me wrong it is good, but they hyped it up way to much. wow, totally disagree. aside from the 'Jesse realization' scene which still annoys me, I think season 5b has been absolutely nonstop greatness. They really cranked it up to 11 and made sure to drag nothing out. Season 3 and 5a were the weakest to me (whereby weakest translates to 9/10), season 5b is shaping up to be one of the best. The finale could really sour me though, if handled poorly.

Okay, so I've had the week off work and I've literally spent every day watching Breaking Bad. We get the newest episode a day after you guys in the States on Netflix here in the UK. I'm actually on the edge of my seat wanting to know what's going to happen.
I'm fortunate enough to have been able to watch it back to back, to those of you who watched it since the beginning, it must have been a killer waiting a year between each season!

I don't want the show to end, but I can't wait for the conclusion.

Ok so who all was just shot/killed at the end there?
And what I don't get is why Hank is suddenly not intimidated by Walt's blackmail 'confession'?

I'm thinking they all die, except for Walter. Which is why he comes back in the flash-forward scenes. To get revenge.

I'm pretty sure Jesse escaped just before the gunfire because remember he was looking ready to run off and then we didn't see him at all during the shoot out.
I don't see any way possible that Hank or Gomez got out of that alive.

I keep forgetting about those flash forward scenes, I kept waiting for Walt to die. I think Hank and Gomez die. I'm not too sure what to think about Jesse at this point. Also, were the "brains" in the garbage can that Marie finds supposed to be of any significance? Not sure if I missed something there.

But why was Hank so happy to have caught Walt? He doesn't have the money.
Therefore, isn't Walt's blackmail confession video tape still valid and something that can come back to haunt Hank?
I don't understand why Hank wasn't thinking about that. It's as if the characters forgot all about that.
Anyone know?
EDIT: I believe the 'brains' in the garbage were there because Hank was using cut up animal parts to film a picture of Jesse with his brains blown out. That's the picture Hank showed to Viscera (Saul's bodyguard). It was a trick.

Hank used them to make it look like Walt killed Jesse and took a picture, and used the picture to make Huell think he was dead, scaring him into getting info by saying Huell could be Walt's next target.

I'm gonna have to go back and rewatch the beginning. I was dozing off for a decent part of the first half.
