Hi all, so my girl and I are heading to the us in November for just shy of 4 weeks. Trips starts in LA then fly Boston. road trip NYC - Toronto - back down to Washington then onto Charlotte, down to Orlando the. Miami and keys. Then back to LA and another road trip to Vegas. The main reason for the trip is to see nba games. Planning on seeing 9 games at this stage. However, I'm also looking for some figures etc. so does anyone know of any place I should go to get some figures. I have "frank and son" lined up for visit in LA. and a bunch of comic/collectable stores as I also collect some other lines. I saw the other post about Allentown but can get there as it will be shut when I'm around that area. I'm looking for trade conventions. Of course ill be checking places like toys r us, and Kmart/Walmart as we see them. Any suggestions? Sorry for the long post

NYC: Times Square TRU for figs, Midtown Comics for comics. I was impressed by both places when I was there.
LA: check out Five Four clothing, and Meltdown Comics
Vegas: Alternate Reality comics
I'd check out those comic shops, and go to any large TRU you come across. That'll be a good time of the year to load up on figs.

Down in Tennessee, there is a shop at a flea market in Pigeon Forge called Wrestlers 4 U that has old figures for cheap. I know that they have at least 3 basic Batistas for $6 apiece. Their FB page: www.facebook.com/Wrestlers4U?ref=stream

Enjoy your trip. I can only talk about NYC so I'll just second the TRU in Times Square. But don't put these figures over your vacation. Times Square is a beautifully amazing place, especially to tourists, ENJOY YOURSELF!

Cheese and rice, when you guys take a "holiday" you really go for a long time. Standard time for a vacation in the US is like a week to 10 days. I knew I was doing something wrong.

Also, there's a Kmart a block from Macy's in NYC. 35th street I believe. Right on the corner. Toys are on the bottom floor.

Your going to a Charlotte Hornets basketball game? They should pay people to watch that team lol. Well at least most your trip sounds exciting anyway. Have fun while your here. 4 weeks doesnt seem long enough to do all the things your gonna want to do in all these cities and look for figures too and then your gonna have to drag them around with you everywhere your going in your suitcase or car.
