5/22/12 Edition
- Some people have questioned the decision to have the Prime Time Players drop the WWE Tag Team Titles. The reason for this was that Darren Young failed a drug test and will be serving a 30 day suspension as per the Wellness Policy.
- Creative is said to be very high on the Real Americans team and it's possible they could be pushed towards the top of the tag team division soon.
- With Dean Ambrose and Antonio Cesaro making their debuts recently, people have been wondering about others from developmental. Rumors are swirling that Leakee, Husky Harris and Skip Sheffield could be called up soon as they have not debuted on NXT yet.
- As noted on Raw last night, the WWE has begun advertising Raw 1000, coming in July. This is planned to be a huge show. Expect a WWE Title match and appearances from some big names and legends.
- WWE has released several talents today. Those talents include Percy Watson, Caylee Turner, Yoshi Tatsu, Aksana, and Ezekiel Jackson. They wish them the best in their future endeavors.

May 23rd, 2012 | Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
After the opening video package, we cut to Full Sail University and the crowd being amped up. The commentary booth of William Regal, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton welcome everyone to the show as we get one step close to crowning the first ever NXT Champion. We’re jumping right into things as a tournament match is kicking us off.
BO DALLAS DEF. TYLER REKS w/ CURT HAWKINS TO ADVANCE IN THE NXT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT Last week, Seth Rollins defeated Curt Hawkins, but tonight his partner looked to advance in the Tournament. Bo Dallas received a mixed reaction from the fans at Full Sail, which was surprising. He withstood the flurry of power moves in the early stages by Reks, to win with the Bodog.
The crowd gives Bo Dallas a mixed reaction, but he celebrates his big win anyway. Bo Dallas advances in the tournament and will meet the winner of tonight’s main event between Big E Langston and Brad Maddox.
The Raw Rebound airs as NXT returns. It focuses on the start of the Elimination Chase to determine a new number one contender for the WWE Title as well as the challenge laid down by John Cena to Chris Jericho.
Clips are now shown of an interview for wwe.com that was conducted by William Regal with Sami Zayn. Zayn made his debut two weeks ago and defeated Michael McGillicutty to advance in the NXT Title Tournament. Sami was asked about his past and how he’s competed all over the world for nearly ten years. He says that there is some animosity from some guys in the locker room, but his ultimate goal is to become NXT Champion and he tries not to worry about them. The interview gives good insight into who Sami is and why he’s here in NXT.
ADRIAN NEVILLE & OLIVER GREY DEF. CJ PARKER & JASON JORDAN A competitive and friendly tag team match had potential to steal the show tonight. Both teams got in their trademark stuff, with Neville and Grey seeming to be extra polished, despite being newer to the company. CJ Parker hit a stiff looking palm strike that sent Oliver Grey reeling, but it wasn’t enough as Parker fell to the gorgeous Red Arrow.
Adrian Neville rolls out of the ring, greeted by Oliver Grey as they celebrate their win. The crowd loves the sight of the glorious Red Arrow finisher and are cheering loudly. Commentary mentions that the tag team division down in NXT is really heating up with these four, the Ascension, Corey Graves and Jake Carter, and not to mention, Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis.
Backstage, Paige was shown talking with Emma when Sofia Cortez comes up to them. She mocks Emma for pinning her last week, so Paige steps in her face. Paige challenges her to a match next week, to which Cortez chuckles and claims that it’s Paige’s funeral. As she walks off, Emma looks at Paige and says that she didn’t have to do that as she had it under control.
A graphic appears on screen reminding everyone of the main event between Big E Langston and Brad Maddox!
Returning, a video recap was shown of Brad Maddox qualifying for the NXT Title Tournament by beating Mike Dalton. We then cut to Briley Pierce standing by with Maddox himself. He asks about tonight and Brad responds, “Tonight is the biggest night in my career. Last time out against Dalton was the biggest up until then. My goal is to keep reaching higher and higher goals. Tonight, I’m the underdog again, but Big E, and the NXT Universe as a whole, will soon feel the Brad Maddox experience.” He struts off as Pierce looks at him confused.
Back to the arena, Michael McGillicutty and John Curtis are standing in the ring. McGillicutty gets on the microphone and states that Sami Zayn got lucky two weeks ago. “Next week, Johnny here is going to take out that punk Richie Steamboat. Then, we turn our attention towards you Sami Zayn. We are the greatest NXT Superstars in history and you will find that out the hard way.”
MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY w/ JOHNNY CURTIS DEF. MIKE DALTON Unfortunately for Mike Dalton, his rough patch continues as this was basically a Michael McGillicutty showcase. He was a bit more ruthless in making sure that he got the win to bounce back from the NXT Title Tournament. Dalton did get a big near fall following a spinning heel kick, but fell to the McGillicutter.
Michael McGillicutty raises his arms in victory as Johnny Curtis joins him in the ring. He shouts some inaudible things but it is clear that he means business as he comes for Sami Zayn.
Backstage, Leo Kruger is shown sitting in a dark corridor of the building. He seems to be in a bit of a trance and Byron Saxton mentions that Leo has been this way since losing last week. You can hear him mumbling “Derrick Bateman” over and over again.
Big E Langston is shown walking the hallway because the big main event is next!
Another vignette airs for the daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero, Raquel Diaz. She speaks about being born for this business, how her “familia” is a legacy and the fact that she is going to be the only true Diva in NXT.
Next week on NXT, the final two First Round matches in the NXT Championship Tournament will take place. Johnny Curtis goes one on one with Richie Steamboat, while Trent Barreta faces Kassius Ohno!
BIG E. LANGSTON DEF. BRAD MADDOX TO ADVANCE IN THE NXT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT The Brad Maddox Experience proved to be short lived, at least when it comes to the NXT Title Tournament. He had a great showing when he defeated Mike Dalton to qualify but his efforts weren’t enough to overcome the power of Big E Langston. Big E looked like a dominating presence and won following the Big Ending.
Big E Langston didn’t just want the win that way as he demanded the referee count until five. “I need five!” The referee obliges and Big E picks up some big momentum in the Tournament. In the next round he will face his recent rival, Bo Dallas!

It's cool to see NXT from this era, seeing Rollins, Ohno, Steamboat, etc. still part of the development roster. Dallas advancing over Reks in the NXT Championship tournament isn't much of a surprise. I'd quite like to see Reks/Hawkins get a push as a team on NXT as I enjoyed them together. Fine win for Neville and Grey. Can't see much going for the team of Jordan/Parker other than being used to put over other teams. Paige/Cortez next week should be awesome. Cortez could have been huge in the real NXT if she wasn't released. I wonder if Dalton's rough patch will lead into the gimmick change of Tyler Breeze. Interesting promo with Leo Kruger. Trent Barreta! <3 I always loved Big E.'s 5 count shtick so nice to see you implementing that in the diary. The little note at the end of the show of the trending topics on Twitter was a nice touch. NXT is such a fun promotion (?) to book, so I'm looking forward to seeing where you take and what guys you debut there.

May 25th, 2012 | Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania
The WWE signature flashes across the screen before we cut to the arena, where the theme of our World Heavyweight Champion hits. Wade Barrett steps through the curtain with a big smirk on his face. As he walks to the ring, we are taken to a replay of his tainted victory over Alberto Del Rio at Over the Limit. He enters the ring and grabs a microphone, bragging about Over the Limit. “Alberto Del Rio proved to each and every one of you exactly what myself and Mr. John Laurinaitis knew from the start. He is not championship material. He went out at Extreme Rules and failed. Mr. Laurinaitis was correct in cutting ties with him.” He continues by saying that John Laurinaitis is not in the building tonight, so he feels that as World Heavyweight Champion, he should be in charge. He calls himself the greatest World Heavyweight Champion in the history of the WWE and promises that the “Barrett Barrage” will stay strong for the rest of the year. “I have no peer in this company. Alberto Del Rio, Daniel Bryan and even your precious Randy Orton have all fallen before me.” Before he could continue, the voice of Ricardo Rodriguez is heard as he steps out to the stage to a pop. He introduces Alberto Del Rio who stands beside him with his own microphone. Del Rio admits defeat, stating that Wade Barrett did indeed beat him at Over the Limit. “We all did you see win perro, but everyone in the WWE Universe saw you hit me with a low blow.” Del Rio also admits that he has not always been one to play by the rules and he knows that when it comes to the World Heavyweight Championship, one does what it takes to win. He says that with no John Laurinaitis running things, he wants another shot at the title. The crowd pops but Barrett declines. Del Rio attempts to goad him into it by calling him out for only being able to win with the low blow. Barrett gets annoyed, “Fine. I’ll give you a match tonight but this title will not be on the line. If you somehow find a way to win, then you’ll have earned another shot at No Way Out.” Del Rio chuckles but isn’t satisfied. He says that if he wins, he’d like to choose a stipulation for that match. Barrett thinks it over and agrees because in his mind, he’s going to win anyway. It looks like we have a huge main event set for tonight! THE REAL AMERICANS W/ ZEB COLTER DEF. INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE
Before the bell, Zeb Colter ran down both members of International Airstrike because they are from Canada and South Africa. Once the match began though, there was nothing about International Airstrike to badmouth. They took it to the Real Americans in what was possibly the match of the night. Jack Swagger got the win for his team by making Justin Gabriel submit to the Patriot Lock. The crowd boos as the Real Americans once again pick up a victory as their momentum continues. This tandem of Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro is proving to be an impressive one. A graphic appears to tell us that one of the big matches tonight will put the three remaining participants in the Elimination Chase in the same ring. Daniel Bryan will team with Dolph Ziggler to take on Sheamus and the WWE Champion himself, CM Punk! Also, Christian will be hosting the Peep Show with special guest, Randy Orton!
Returning, Wade Barrett is shown backstage on the phone and he seems to be making his case with someone. He says “Mr. Laurinaitis” as it seems like the General Manager is not happy about the situation going down in our main event tonight. Wade claims to have it under control. Cutting back to the ring, the Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes is standing in the middle of the ring. He has a microphone and is showing off his title. He boasts about beating Rey Mysterio at No Way Out. “As of tonight, I am officially on day 290 of the greatest Intercontinental Title reign in the history of this business. I’ve beaten former World Champions like Rey, Christian and Booker T. To prove that I am unbeatable, I challenge anyone in the back to a title match right now.” Michael Cole is baffled that Cody would do something like this, calling it a fantastic opportunity. The challenge is answered by Sin Cara, who has been on a bit of a roll since his return a month or so ago. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: CODY RHODES [C] DEF. SIN CARA TO RETAIN THE TITLE
This proved to be a very good back and forth match. Sin Cara continues to show his improvement since his return from injury and picked up a few near falls here. Cody Rhodes continually went for the mask for some reason and seemed hell bent on embarrassing Cara along with retaining his coveted gold. While he was unsuccessful in removing the mask, he was successful in keeping the title after the Beautiful Disaster. Cody Rhodes gets to his feet to a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe. He is handed the Intercontinental Title as he lives to see day 291 of his historic reign. Randy Orton is shown arriving at the arena, he will be the special guest on the Peep Show later tonight! A promo airs for next Monday’s Raw as the Elimination Chase continues. To determine CM Punk’s opponent for No Way Out, Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan and Sheamus do battle in a Triple Threat match to open the show and then the two survivors meet in the main event. Who will get the next shot at the WWE Championship?WWE CHAMPION CM PUNK & SHEAMUS DEF. DANIEL BRYAN & DOLPH ZIGGLER W/ VICKIE GUERRERO VIA DISQUALIFICATION
A huge first hour main event for Smackdown here and it was given a ton of time. These guys went for nearly twenty minutes and put on one hell of a match. This turned out to be a great callback to Over the Limit, as well as a preview for No Way Out. That is, unless Sheamus wins since he didn’t interact with Punk in any negative manner. All four guys got the chance to shine here, but the finish came when Bryan had Punk in the Yes Lock. Sheamus and Ziggler were going at it outside, when Dolph snapped a bit and grabbed a steel chair. He bashed Sheamus in the back with it, in the referee’s view, resulting in the disqualification. The crowd is not very pleased with the outcome, but Daniel Bryan is even less happy. He breaks the Yes Lock and goes outside to confront Dolph Ziggler. They get into a shouting match with Bryan yelling “I had the Champion beat!” As they continue to argue, Dolph nails Bryan in the stomach with the chair, following up with one to the back. This new aggressive side of Dolph Ziggler could be what leads him to the Promised Land, and it could happen at No Way Out! Backstage, AJ Lee is shown when Kaitlyn enters the locker room. They discuss Eve’s match on Raw where she got back into the ring and looked better than ever. They agree that they want her nowhere near the Divas Title because one of them is going to be the girl who takes it from Kharma. They agree on that before AJ informs her that she received a phone call from John Laurinaitis earlier telling her that she will face Eve this Monday on Raw.
A promo is shown for NXT, next Wednesday night on ION Television. The last two matches in the First Round of the NXT Title Tournament pit Johnny Curtis against Richie Steamboat and Kassius Ohno against Trent Barreta. Who will advance in the quest to make history? In the ring, Hunico and Camacho are awaiting the arrival of Hunico’s opponent for the night. Xavier Woods’ music hits as he comes out dancing with Naomi and Cameron. When they’re done entering the ring, Hunico gets a microphone and badmouths them, saying that’s not dancing. “This is dancing” he exclaims before breaking into a salsa dance. He actually gets some cheers for this, but when he leaves the floor open to his opponent, Xavier is clearly the better dancer. Hunico is not happy, so he attacks Woods. XAVIER WOODS W/ NAOMI & CAMERON DEF. HUNICO W/ CAMACHO
Despite the attack prior to the bell, Hunico did not end up doing so hot in this contest. He was in control early, but Xavier Woods made his rally and took over from them. He nailed the Lost in the Woods finisher to wrap this one up. The WWE universe pops at the victory, as Xavier Woods and his ladies bust a move in the ring. Some of the kids from the crowd are allowed in the ring to dance with them. Backstage, Christian is shown walking towards the arena because the Peep Show is next!
Returning to the broadcast, a video package airs for the historic 1000th episode of Raw. Clips of some of Raw’s greatest moments are shown before focusing on a particular one. We see some of the things that happened on the very first ever episode of Raw on January 11th, 1993!
The ring is set up for the Peep Show, as the theme of Captain Charisma hits. Christian walks to the ring to a big ovation from the fans before he gets on the microphone. He starts by welcoming his peeps to the show, before admitting that he’s had a rough go of it lately. “Ever since WrestleMania, when I lost to Cody Rhodes, I haven’t had the best of luck. I lost to him again at Extreme Rules and then couldn’t win the tournament for another shot. So, I’ve decided to take a break for a week or so to refocus, but while I do that I figured that the Peeps would still want to see me. That’s why I bring you the Peep Show tonight.” He introduces his guest, Randy Orton. As Orton makes his slow walk to the ring, a video replay is shown of Dean Ambrose getting disqualified at Over the Limit. When Orton enters the ring and sits down, Christian begins to ask questions. His first is about Randy’s health after Ambrose pulverized him with various steel chair shots. Randy claims that he is not cleared to compete for a little while, but that’s not his call. If it was up to him he’d get his hands on Ambrose tonight. Christian then asks about Randy’s plan for retaliation once he is medically cleared. “Oh, I have a plan. You see, I’ve done some pretty bad things over the course of my career. Triple H, Kofi Kingston, Wade Barrett, John Cena, and hell, even you Christian. You all know what I’m capable of, but those things pale in comparison to what I’m going to do to Dean Ambrose.” Never one to hide his feelings, Dean Ambrose comes to the stage to interrupt Randy Orton. “Sorry to interrupt your little tea party guys, but I was just sitting in the back and I heard my name. Over and over and over and over. It seems like the two of you don’t really like me. Randy, you’re talking a big game but you need to SHOW me these things. Don’t just tell me that you’re the Viper and that you’re going to do bad things to me. Anyone can say that Randy. You need to show me because if you’re not doing those things, then this isn’t fun for me. You think Over the Limit was fun? Nope. I wanted a war and what I got was a guy who is a shell of his former self.” Orton looks pissed at these remarks, and he responds by challenging Ambrose to another match at No Way Out next month once he’s cleared to compete. Ambrose responds, “Ugh. No Randy. I have no interest in that. Believe me, I enjoy beating the hell out of you, but another match with this version of just doesn’t intrigue me. Call me when you’re interesting again.” Dean drops the microphone and heads to the back, while Randy Orton, Christian and WWE Universe look confused at this response. A promo airs for No Way Out, which comes to you live on June 17th, 2012! NON-TITLE MATCH: ALBERTO DEL RIO DEF. WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION WADE BARRETT TO EARN A WORLD TITLE SHOT
Much like their match at Over the Limit, Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett proved to have some pretty good chemistry. It was clear that Barrett started to regret his decision to give Del Rio a chance to earn a World Heavyweight Title shot as he tries to win in every possible way. He got a few quick pin attempts and even came close to a countout, but Del Rio was able to get back into the ring. This desperation led Barrett to do something he doesn’t do often, which was climb to the top. Del Rio used this opening to leap to the second rope and nail a loud enziguri! Barrett fell to the mat and Del Rio pinned him to earn a title shot! The audience erupts as Alberto Del Rio has defeated Wade Barrett! He begins to celebrate although not as much as he would have had he managed to win this past Sunday. Wade Barrett rolls out of the ring and backs up the ramp clutching his World Heavyweight Championship. Del Rio gets on the microphone and tells Wade that the stipulation he chooses for No Way Out, will truly mean no way out because they'll meet in a Steel Cage Match! The crowd pops and it’s very possible that Barrett may no longer have the title after June 17th! Trending Topics: #PeepShow #NoWayOut #DelRiovsBarrett #ICTitle #EliminationChase

I love Peep Shows! Oh.. Christian's will do too. I like this feud between Alberto of the ing River and Wade Barrett. I actually really liked Del Rio's face run, and I think you will pull it off fabulously. Huge main event set, should be good. A good win for the Real Americans. Hopefully Cesaro gets a push down the road. This seems to be a stacked Smackdown. Cody Rhodes going over is the right decision. I was never really wowed by Cara like I should've been. Here's hoping you make him interesting. A great match between the two main event teams. I hope you do something good with Ziggler. Should be interesting to see where this goes. Eh, good win for Woods. Good Peep Show and I love what you're doing with Ambrose. Star is written all over him. An excellent main event to close. Excited to see where you take both these men. A good show, dude.

May 28th, 2012 | New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana
As the WWE Signature flashes across the screen, we are taken to a video package showcasing the start of the Elimination Chase. We then go to the arena where Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome everyone to the show and inform us that we are starting hot with the Triple Threat Elimination Chase match! ELIMINATION CHASE: DANIEL BRYAN AND SHEAMUS DEF. DOLPH ZIGGLER W/ VICKIE GUERREROTalk about getting Raw started with a bang. This far surpassed the first part of the Elimination Chase from last week as all three guys were trying their hardest to advance. The match featured multiple near falls and spanned a commercial break. Dolph continued to show off a more aggressive side and nearly won with the Zig Zag, but Bryan got his foot on the bottom rope. Dolph was pissed and began to stalk Bryan for another Zig Zag, but was nailed with a Brogue Kick from out of nowhere! Sheamus covered and eliminated Dolph. The WWE Universe get to their feet as Sheamus and Daniel Bryan have advanced to fight in the finals tonight. After such a hard fought battle, one has to wonder what either guy will have left in the tank. As Vickie Guerrero checks on Dolph Ziggler, the cameras catch CM Punk watching on a monitor backstage. A graphic appears when we return for the main event, which will see Daniel Bryan take on Sheamus with a shot at the WWE Championship at No Way Out on the line!
Things turn a bit sour as the General Manager, John Laurinaitis’ music hits. He walks to the ring with what he now calls, Executive Order, consisting of World Heavyweight Champion Wade Barrett, United States Champion Drew McIntyre, David Otunga and Eve Torres. He does not look happy as he grabs a microphone. “This past Friday, I took the night off to enjoy myself and relax because I deserve a day off for the hard work I put in. But what happens when I take the night off? Alberto Del Rio finagles his way into a World Title shot at No Way Out.” He says that he doesn’t blame Wade Barrett, because he appreciates his efforts to be a fighting champion, but someone like Del Rio doesn’t deserve to be champion. “Things are going to be a lot different now that I’m back. I’ve been taking it easy being the laid back guy that I am.” That last sentence draws eye rolls from the WWE Universe. Laurinaitis announces that tonight, as punishment for Del Rio’s disobedience, he will have to face the man who defeated the Big Show at Extreme Rules, Brodus Clay! He also says that he hasn’t appreciated AJ Lee and Kaitlyn’s disrespectful ways towards Eve Torres lately. He calls Eve the hardest working lady in the WWE and tonight’s match between AJ and Eve has now become a handicap match, with Eve’s partner being Kharma! The crowd boos at this news before Laurinaitis ends the segment that saying that People Power is something that he did for the fans, but if the fans and performers like AJ, Kaitlyn, Alberto and even guys like CM Punk are going to disrespect him, it may be time to turn People Power into Johnny Power. The Usos are shown walking to the arena because they are in tag team action next!
Returning, we see John Laurinaitis walking back to his locker when he’s stopped by the WWE Champion. Wade Barrett steps up, but Laurinaitis says it’s fine and tells him to wait inside his office. CM Punk speaks, “So, I couldn’t help but overhear you say my name out there. We’ve had our differences and I’ve more than made it clear that I don’t like you or the way you run things, but you need to be careful with who you threaten.” Laurinaitis claims that he isn’t threatening anyone, but Punk needs to watch how he talks to him since he is the authority around here. He turns and enters his office, slamming the door in Punk’s face, leading the WWE Champion to smirk, shake his head and walk away. THE REAL AMERICANS W/ ZEB COLTER DEF. THE USOS
Since their debut a few weeks back, the Real Americans have run roughshod over the tag team division but they faced quite possibly their toughest test in the high octane Usos. The WWE Tag Team Champions were at ringside on commentary and scouting potential opponents. The Usos came close to winning with a huge top rope splash, but Antonio Cesaro made a huge save by lifting Jey Uso off of Jack Swagger and hitting a gutwrench suplex on him. Jimmy Uso would take him outside, but Swagger locked Jey in the Patriot Lock and he was forced to tap out. Zeb Colter enters the ring with his team and has a microphone in his hand. “Evan Bourne. Kofi Kingston. You are the newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions and I want to congratulate you on that. However, I don’t know if you’re worthy of that. The WWE Tag Team Champions should be Real Americans. Are the two of you proud Real Americans?” Kofi and Evan get up from commentary and enter the ring. Kofi says that he and Evan are indeed proud Americans, but that’s not what makes them Tag Team Champions. “If being the kind of Real Americans that you want means that we have to badmouth everyone else, then we don’t want any part of it.” Kofi drops the microphone and they go to leave, but Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro attack them from behind. This unprovoked attack ends when Swagger powerbombs Kingston and Cesaro nails Bourne with the Neutralizer. They stood over the fallen champions, put their hands over their hearts and shouted “WE THE PEOPLE!” A graphic is shown once again for one of the big matches tonight, as Alberto Del Rio will take on Brodus Clay!
A promo is shown for this week’s Smackdown. After an interesting edition of the Peep Show featuring Randy Orton, Christian hosts it one more time, but this time with Dean Ambrose. Ambrose declined Orton’s challenge for No Way Out; can Christian get to the bottom of that?
The lights in the arena cut out as we are joined by Chris Jericho. A quick graphic is shown for the big Submission Match at No Way Out between Jericho and John Cena. As he gets in the ring, he keeps his hoodie over his head and grabs a microphone. The crowd continues to boo before he tells them all to shut up. The lights stay off, except for a spotlight on Jericho as he speaks in a slow tone. “When I returned this past January, I told the world that I had one thing on my mind. I no longer wanted to save the WWE. I wanted to destroy it. To do that, I was going to win the Royal Rumble but I was unable to do so. I was also unable to beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania and nearly started to doubt myself. But then, I recognized that John Cena was a poison that I had to get rid of. Once I beat him, I could continue with my destruction. However, after I beat him at Extreme Rules, I wanted to pin him. When I accomplished that, he wanted more. Normally, I would have declined and moved on to try and win the WWE Title so that I can end the WWE from the top, but I accepted the match. I accepted because the opportunity to make John Cena tap out was too good to pass up. All of you little kids in the audience who believe in Hustle, Loyalty and Respect are going to learn a hard lesson at No Way Out. Your heroes will fail you. John Cena will tap out and squeal like a pig on June 17th. When I finish him off, I’m moving on to bigger things.” As the crowd continues to give Jericho a ton of heat, that turns to cheers, mostly, when John Cena’s music plays. He walks to the ring with a clear purpose as he is in no joking mood. He rolls into the ring and goes to get a microphone, but turns swiftly and takes Chris Jericho down to the mat. The crowd roars as Cena fires away on Jericho before picking him up and throwing him out of the ring. “This is shades of the John Cena we saw last week when he threw Jericho off the stage!” exclaims Michael Cole. Cena clears off the announce table and it looks like his plan is to drive Jericho through it. When he turns to Jericho though, he is met with a vicious Codebreaker! Jericho, holding his back, laid Cena face down on the announce table and grabbed a steel chair. He proceeded to strike Cena with the chair several times in the lower back before standing on the table and locking him in the Walls of Jericho. Officials rush out to try and pry Jericho off, while Cena screams in pain. Jericho doesn’t stop until Cena passes out from the pain. Jerry Lawler points out that even tonight, when it wasn’t a match, John Cena didn’t give up.
Returning, a recap is shown of the previous segment, which featured Chris Jericho and John Cena going at it, before the Walls of Jericho made Cena pass out. It is announced that this Friday on Smackdown, Chris Jericho will make a rare appearance as he takes on Rey Mysterio! Scott Stanford is standing by Zack Ryder, who pinned Drew McIntyre in a tag team match last week. He asks Ryder how it felt to gain some revenge on the man who took the title from him. Ryder claims that it feels great and he’s looking for another shot at the title now that he’s pinned the champion. He is interrupted by Kane, who enters the shot. He says that he should get a United States Title shot because it was he who hit the Chokeslam on McIntyre that set up Ryder’s pinfall. They bicker and argue away from the interview set. ALBERTO DEL RIO DEF. BRODUS CLAY
John Laurinaitis’ attempt to punish Alberto Del Rio fell a bit short tonight. Brodus Clay is indeed a monster, but Del Rio was too resilient here. He kicked out of Brodus’ attacks and locked him into the Cross Armbreaker, forcing the big man to tap out. As the bell rings, the crowd pops and Alberto Del Rio stands to enjoy his win. He once again foils the plans of Executive Order and is one step closer to winning the coveted World Heavyweight Title. His celebration is cut short by the arrival of Executive Order. He prepares for a fight but looks back and sees David Otunga attempting to sneak in. He greets him with a vicious enziguri before rolling out of the ring and going to the crowd. Laurinaitis is fuming that Del Rio did not get punished. The camera catches Del Rio looking into the crowded ring from the audience and winking.
A vignette airs featuring The Miz and Mason Ryan. Miz is dressed in a white trench coat of sorts and wearing shades. Mason shadows him, dressed in the same fashion as Miz says that with his help, he has made Mason an A-Lister just like him. They will return to Raw soon and they will win all of the awards that the WWE has to offer. DIVAS CHAMPION KHARMA AND EVE DEF. AJ LEEPoor AJ Lee was clearly not a fan of what was about to go down. As soon as the match began, Kharma ran at her and just crushed her. Eve would join in and put the boots to her opponent. She tried to boss Kharma around, but the Divas Champion just gave her a perplexed look before drilling AJ with a spinning back fist and then hitting Eve with the Implant Buster onto AJ. Kharma walked out as Eve got the three counted for her. The crowd gives a mixed reaction to the finish as they didn’t like seeing AJ Lee lose, but they enjoyed seeing Eve getting taken out. John Laurinaitis is shown in his office and he is not happy. His goal tonight was to show how in control he was and nearly everything has backfired in some shape or form. Sheamus is seen walking towards the arena because the main event and the finals of the Elimination Chase is next!
A promo for NXT this Wednesday airs. The final matches in the first round of the NXT Title Tournament will go down as Johnny Curtis takes on Richie Steamboat and Kassius Ohno goes up against Trent Barreta.
“Cult of Personality” hits as the WWE Champion, CM Punk makes his way to the ring to join commentary for the main event. ELIMINATION CHASE FINALS: DANIEL BRYAN DEF. SHEAMUS TO EARN WWE TITLE SHOT
The Elimination Chase has only gotten better by the round and the Finals was no exception. Both guys gave it their all and this featured tons of near falls. Daniel Bryan put Sheamus in the Yes Lock and it looked like the Celtic Warrior would tap out, but he reached the ropes. At one point, Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick, but Bryan showed off his ring presence by knowing he was near the apron and rolling outside so no pin could be made. He got up and stumbled over to CM Punk, who he hit with a cheap shot. Punk goes to retaliate but the official goes outside to get in between them. Dolph Ziggler runs down to the ring and again nails Sheamus in the back with a steel chair. Bryan sees this and goes back in the ring, applying the Yes Lock. The referee re-enters and Sheamus is out cold, so he calls for the bell. Daniel Bryan jumps to his feet and shouts "YES!" at the top his lungs. CM Punk has an angry look on his face as he enters the ring, leading Bryan to back out but continue his celebration. Sheamus is being checked on by the referee while commentary questions the more aggressive side of Dolph Ziggler that we've now seen once again. Elimination Chase finals...
The semis and final would have produced a couple of good matches. Bryan was always coming out the victor but the victory builds him up well. Also sets up Ziggler and Sheamus for a rematch which Ziggler should win.
Seems like your building Cena up for having a bad year but he needs to beat Jericho at some point.
Alberto and Barrett would produce good matches and I like Del Rio as a face but this just come across as filler to give Barrett something to do, which isn't bad just feels like a waste of Del Rio
I'm a big fan of your writing style really enjoyed your 08-10 diary plus your reviews and NXT reports are very well written. I just can't get into this time period I'm sure you'll do something soon to grab my attention and I look forward to it happening!

Alright, the Raw Supershow! Feels weird to call it that. Daniel Bryan and Sheamus getting through the Elimination Chase is fine, an excellent opener. A bit surprised that you aren't holding off on the finals of the chase for next week, but I understand the weeks of build you can put in to the match instead. Scumbag Laurinaitis. PEOPLE POWER! Nice set up for a couple of matches later on. Uh oh, tension between Punk and Big Johnny! Do I see a screwjob in the near future? Next up, The Real Americans getting the win over The Usos was fine. Poor Usos. I can see The Real Americans as future tag team champions, pending how long you keep them together. Very nice promo between Chris Jericho and John Cena, with Y2J showing his dominance and Cena not tapping out. Certainly built up the idea of the submission match well. Wasn't it going to be an 'I Quit' match? I dunno. Either way, it should be interesting. Next, Alberto Del Rio against Brodus Clay in an obvious victory for Del Rio. Screw Brodus. Dumbass Tyrus! GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM! Kharma and Eve beating AJ Lee is clearly no shock, I like how Kharma basically said F it to Eve too. Get the F out. (c)2002. Finally, a great main event that gave us an obvious winner in Daniel Bryan, setting the stage for what was an inevitable match up between him and CM Punk at No Way Out. I like the idea of Dolph Ziggler versus Sheamus as well, two very good workers. A good episode of Raw, you've got some good stuff set up for No Way Out.

Elimination Chase starting off the show immediately made the most sense, and certainly would have set the tone for the rest of the episode. Dolph Ziggler being eliminated, poo. I do understand the decision, though, so that the finals cane heel vs. face with Daniel Bryan and Sheamus. Should be a grand main event and I full expect Bryan to come away with the victory. A great promo from Executive Order (come up with that name yourself?) to address some of the happenings on tonight's show. I particularly like how Divas such as Eve, AJ and Kaitlyn have gotten involved in this program. Definitely helps the division out. The CM Punk and John Laurinaitis backstage bit makes me believe that at some point soon on television, there will be a champion vs. champion match between Punk and Barrett. No one's ever done Punk vs. Barrett. Ever. A solid victory for The Real Americans over The Usos. Swagger and Cesaro against Air Boom would make for an amazing Tag Team Championship match, me thinks. Very much looking forward to it whenever it takes place. Heated segment between John Cena and Chris Jericho to build their Submission match at No Way Out. Jericho has looked incredibly strong in this feud. Like, Roman Reigns strong. That leads me to believe that Cena will be victorious at No Way Out, but I'd hate to see him force Jericho to submit. Bleh. Zack Ryder and Kane arguing. Too bad neither of them will be Drew McIntyre. Alberto Del Rio defeating Brodus Clay didn't come as a surprise. I doubt, however, that Del Rio will become World Heavyweight Champion at No Way Out. Mason Ryan done gon' Hollywood with The Miz? Interesting. I would prefer that Mason simply remains a lackey to Miz rather than take on the Mizdow role. I'd hate to see him end up as popular as Damien has in reality. Eve got Implant Busted! Take that, you bitch! Um, yeah. I liked Kharma's disobedience to John Laurinaitis, showing that she isn't on anyone's side in this Executive Order vs....non-Executive Order, I guess....whatevs. Keep utilizing the women in this manner. It warms my soul. Expected outcome in the main event with Daniel Bryan getting the victory, although I did like the involvement from Dolph Ziggler. Punk vs. Bryan at No Way Out will be a grand match, though I'm expecting Punk to retain. I would not, however, have any issues whatsoever with a Bryan WWE Championship run at this point in his career. Grand episode of Raw overall.

May 30th, 2012 | Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
After the WWE signature flashes across the screen, the camera pans around the red hot crowd in Full Sail University. William Regal, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton welcome everyone to another episode of NXT as tonight we will wrap up the First Round of the NXT Title Tournament. They go to throw it to the ring for the opening contest, but instead, we hear different music.
“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes’ music strikes as the Interim General Manager of NXT walks out to the stage to a pop. Tom Phillips calls this a nice surprise as Dusty struts to the ring to his toe tapping theme. When he gets in the ring, he stays quiet for a short while to “Dusty” chants. When he is finally able to speak, he says that he has had a damn good time running NXT because the future of this business will walk through that curtain each and every week. “However, as much as I’ve enjoyed this gig, I already have a job working with these young Superstars and Divas, and am only the Interim General Manager.” Full Sail boos this statement but Dusty reassures them. “Aww, you all are too sweet but there’s not need to boo because we’ve already got a brand new permanent General Manager picked out and he’s all about People Power!” The crowd boos louder than ever but Dusty chuckles and says “Gotcha. Like I’d let that happen. Allow me to present to you, the new General Manager of NXT…John “Bradshaw” Layfield!” This time, the crowd pops hard as JBL comes to the stage in a suit and his big cowboy hat. He gets in the ring, shakes Dusty’s hand and is handed the microphone. JBL basks in the “JBL” chants before speaking. “I am honored, privileged, humbled and proud to be the General Manager here in NXT. This is the future of this business and I want nothing more than to assist them in any possible way. Now, I’m not going to take up much time because we have such a loaded show for you guys, but I will be backstage and I will be around from now on. I look forward to handing the winner of the tournament the official NXT Championship.”
NXT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND: KASSIUS OHNO DEF. TRENT BARRETASince the inception of NXT on ION Television, some guys have stuck out as the cream of the crop. Kassius Ohno is definitely one of those guys. Trent Barreta is no slouch though, as this was one of the best matches in the tournament so far. Barreta surprised a lot of people by earning some close near falls, but he ran into the KO by Ohno that ended this. Kassius Ohno celebrates the biggest win of his NXT career so far as the crowd boos. He looks to continue his momentum against the man that has been his biggest rival in NXT, Seth Rollins! That will be in two weeks, but next week, we already have one Second Round match set when Bo Dallas faces Damien Sandow! Backstage, Sami Zayn is shown arriving at Full Sail University. Earlier today on a wwe.com exclusive, he was called out by Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis, who dared him to sit at ringside for tonight’s main event.
As we return, a promo is shown for this week’s Smackdown. After an interesting edition of The Peep Show last week, Christian hosts it once again with Dean Ambrose as his guest, plus Chris Jericho steps into the ring with Rey Mysterio! PAIGE DEF. SOFIA CORTEZ VIA DISQUALIFICATION
The Divas of NXT have shown that they are some seriously talented females. Last week, Sofia Cortez attempted to bully Emma while she was talking to Paige, leading Paige to get in her face and challenge her here. What followed was a great display of work from both girls. They had the crowd in the palm of their hands and Paige looked to be in control. She set up Cortez for what she calls the RamPaige, but out comes Summer Rae to kick Paige in the face. Summer Rae and Sofia Cortez begin to put the boots to the “Anti-Diva” until Emma rushes out to a hand from the NXT Universe. She manages to knock Cortez out of the ring and when Paige is up, she clotheslines Summer over and out. The heels retreat while Emma assists the wounded Paige. This issues between the Divas is far from over.
A vignette airs for Raquel Diaz once again. “Latina Heat” is coming to NXT soon. John “Bradshaw” Layfield is shown getting his office set up when a knock is heard. In steps Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey. They greet each other and Adrian says that they are here because they want to ask JBL something. They know that he is new to the General Manager position but they want to know if there’s an NXT Tag Team Championship coming soon. JBL chuckles and says that he has something in the works, but the focus is on the NXT Championship for now. Corey Graves and Jake Carter now enter, turning the mood sour. Graves states that they aren’t here to start anything but if there’s going to be talk of an NXT Tag Team Title, he and Carter are the clear cut favorites and not “these two leprechauns.” JBL stops Neville and Grey from stepping to Carter and Graves, by telling them that they can settle this like men next week in the ring! Briley Pierce is now standing by with Seth Rollins. He asks Seth for his thoughts on Kassius Ohno winning tonight and advancing to face him in the next round. Seth responds, “You know Briley it’s actually exactly what I wanted. Some people may question that mindset because Kassius has shown that he is a very dangerous man, but so am I. I am dangerous because I want this NXT Title more than anyone. Since day one here, Kassius and I haven’t exactly seen eye to eye, and it all comes to a head in the next round. We will finally get to prove who the best in NXT really is.” Richie Steamboat is shown walking towards the arena. The son of the Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat is in our main event, next!
A promo for No Way Out airs, which comes to you on June 17th, 2012! Sami Zayn’s theme music plays as NXT’s newest Superstar comes out to a chorus of cheers. He sits at ringside in a chair left for him by Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis. NXT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: JOHNNY CURTIS W/ MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY DEF. RICHIE STEAMBOAT
A solid main event to close out this episode of NXT. Johnny Curtis and Michael McGillicutty have proven to be adept at drawing heat and did so very well here. Some of the focus shifted to Sami Zayn at ringside as McGillicutty taunted him throughout the bout. Richie Steamboat played the face that takes a beating and rallies and it works great for him. He snapped off arm drags and hit a superkick for two. He signaled for the Sling Blade but McGillicutty got on the apron. Sami leapt to his feet and pulled him down, but the distraction was enough to allow Curtis to hit a low blow. He followed with a top rope leg drop and advanced. Things didn’t stop there as Johnny Curtis instantly went outside and helped Michael McGillicutty beat on Sami Zayn. They bring him in the ring, as McGillicutty nails the McGillicutter and Curtis hits him with a top rope leg drop. They stand tall to close NXT as Sami is set to face Johnny in two weeks in the next round of the Tournament. Trending Topics: #NXTTitleTourney #SamiZayn #AntiDiva #NXTTagTitle #JBL

June 1st, 2012 | River Center Arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Following the WWE Signature and Smackdown opening video, we are taken to shots of the River Center Arena as Michael Cole, Booker T and Josh Matthews welcome us to the show. They direct the fans at home to the ring, which is set up for the Peep Show. Christian, our host, is already in the ring. He welcomes the fans of Baton Rouge to Smackdown. He says that tonight’s Peep Show is highly anticipated because of what happened last week. We see the video of Randy Orton as Christian’s guest, challenging Dean Ambrose to a match at No Way Out, but Ambrose declined because “it wouldn’t be fun.” Without further ado, Christian brings out Ambrose. The “Lunatic Fringe” appears to a mixed reaction and gets in the ring. He sits down and picks up the microphone. Christian dives right into the hard hitting questions, asking “Dean, what did you mean last week when you said that you have no interest in fighting Randy Orton at No Way Out?” Dean smirks and responds, “Look here Edge Lite” drawing “oohs” from the crowd. “I meant exactly what I said. I have no interest in competing against the Randy Orton that I saw at Over the Limit. When I targeted him I did so because the Viper was someone that interested me.” Dean continues by saying that he likes war and he wants to go to war with Randy Orton, but the guy he went against at Over the Limit didn’t impress him and he doesn’t want to waste his time with him. Christian wants to know why he enjoys war, and Dean answers by saying that it’s a stupid question. “Christian, in case you haven’t noticed, I don’t quite operate the same way that you do. I thrive on chaos. I don’t want to have a Lou Thez like wrestling match with Randy. I want to fight him. I want to hurt him. I want him to try and hurt me.” Before he can continue, “Voices” is heard throughout the arena as Randy Orton appears atop the stage. He walks to the ring, looking like he is on a mission. He enters the ring and immediately charges at Dean Ambrose. He pounds away as Christian steps out of the ring. Randy tosses Dean over and outside, before continuing the assault. “Randy Orton looks like a man possessed!” exclaims Michael Cole. Randy clears off the announce table as things are getting heated early on Smackdown this week. He chokes Dean with some nearby cables but Dean elbows out of it. The Lunatic Fringe grabs a steel chair and goes to hit Orton with it, but he kicks him, takes the chair and whacks Ambrose with it. Orton gets Ambrose on the announce table, with a sick look in his eyes and hits an RKO through the table! Both men are down, but Orton is first to his feet. He begins to stalk Ambrose and seems to be gearing up for the vicious punt. Before he can connect, officials run out and get in between them. Randy is livid and he starts tossing referees aside. Dean gets to his feet with a strange smile on his face as Randy is being held back. Dean steps over the guardrail and grabs a microphone. He breathes heavily into the microphone, holding his neck, but still smiling and says “Okay Randy. I’m intrigued. You got your match at No Way Out.” The crowd pops at this as Dean leaves through them and Randy still has the crazed look in his eyes.
Returning to the show, a recap is shown of the Peep Show, where Randy Orton attacked Dean Ambrose. Ambrose was pleased with the aggressive side of Orton and accepted his challenge for No Way Out. During the break it was officially announced that at No Way Out, Dean Ambrose will face Randy Orton in a rematch from Over the Limit. SHEAMUS DEF. HEATH SLATER
It was clear that this wasn’t going to last long. As soon as the bell rang, Heath Slater charged at Sheamus but was met with a vicious double axe handle. After losing in the finals of the Elimination Chase on Monday, Sheamus was clearly in a bad mood. He lifted Slater and planted him with the Celtic Cross before finishing him off with the Brogue Kick. The WWE Universe roars in approval of Sheamus’ victory but the “Celtic Warrior” wasn’t done. He asked for a microphone and was handed one. “Dolph Ziggler. After WrestleMania, I called you out for your disrespectful ways towards the legendary Mick Foley. We then proceeded to beat the hell out of each other all over the place. Raw, Smackdown, in a Belfast Brawl at Extreme Rules and the Scramble Match at Over the Limit. But this past Monday, you cost me a shot to regain the WWE Championship, which was a mistake fella. You’ve made it clear that we aren’t done and I’ll be glad to finish this once and for all.” Sheamus promises to confront Dolph Ziggler this Monday on Raw! A graphic is shown for a huge match that Mr. John Laurinaitis signed for tonight. World Heavyweight Champion Wade Barrett, United States Champion Drew McIntyre and David Otunga will take on Kane, Zack Ryder and Alberto Del Rio!
As we return, a clip is shown from Raw where AJ Lee lost to Eve Torres and Kharma before Kharma took out Eve. Cutting backstage, Eve is shown walking when she comes up to Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn seems thrilled that Kharma attacked her on Raw and Eve is still showing the effects, but she is not amused. She tells Kaitlyn that for her insubordination, she will compete tonight against Tamina. Back to the ring, Cody Rhodes is standing in the middle of it with his Intercontinental Championship raised high in the air. He has a microphone and he calls himself the greatest Intercontinental Champion in history. “Last week, I gave each and every one of you a rundown of just who I’ve beaten with this title on the line. At every single Pay-Per-View this year, I have successfully retained it. Last week, I issued an open challenge that was accepted by Sin Cara and he came up just a bit short didn’t he? Just like Rey Mysterio before him, he fell at my feet.” Cody issues another open challenge, but this was not answered by a masked luchador. This was answered by the “World’s Largest Athlete”. Cody looked to instantly regret his decision. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: BIG SHOW DEF. CODY RHODES [C] VIA COUNTOUT
At the bell, Cody Rhodes still looked worried about his move to offer an open challenge. He tried to come at Big Show with some kicks to the leg, but Show just hit him with a headbutt to stop his momentum. Show continued to dominate with chops and clubs, just wearing out Cody. A Beautiful Disaster connected from out of nowhere, but when Cody covers, Show powers out and knocks him outside. Cody realizes that his title is in danger so he grabs it and leaves up the ramp. Big Show is not happy as the referee counts all the way up to ten. Cody Rhodes clutches the Intercontinental Championship tightly to his chest. Big Show pointed at Cody and signaled that he was going to snap him in half as Cody took a big gulp. A vignette airs announcing that Ted Dibiase returns to Smackdown next week! He’s been banged up since his match at Over the Limit, but is on his way back. A promo for this Monday’s Raw airs. After becoming the new number one contender to CM Punk’s WWE Championship, what’s next for Daniel Bryan? Plus, the “Celtic Warrior” has promised to confront the man who cost him the Elimination Chase, Dolph Ziggler. What will go down when they come face to face? DAVID OTUNGA, UNITED STATES CHAMPION DREW MCINTYRE & WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION WADE BARRETT DEF. ALBERTO DEL RIO, KANE & ZACK RYDER
A fantastic six man tag to round out the first hour of Smackdown tonight. This brought together Executive Order’s feuds with the opposing team of faces. This was given a lot of time as Zack Ryder played the face in peril until Alberto Del Rio got the hot tag. He came in with the crowd roaring and took out each of his opponents. Shortly after that, things break down as Kane is working over Otunga outside. Barrett slams Del Rio, but Ryder blind tagged in. He goes for the Leg Lariat on Wade, but he dodges and Ryder is caught with a big boot from McIntyre. He stumbles right into a huge elbow from Barrett that ends this. The audience boos as Executive Order pick up a big victory tonight. As Alberto Del Rio gets to his feet, Wade Barrett knocks him out with the big elbow as well. Booker T comments that it seems like Wade Barrett has added another weapon to his already dangerous repertoire. John Laurinaitis is shown celebrating the Executive Order win with Eve Torres when Mark Henry barges into the office. He is not pleased with the fact that after losing in the Scramble Match, he was “unjustly” eliminated from the Elimination Chase and now, hasn’t even been on Smackdown or Raw since. Laurinaitis is intimidated, but seems to come up with an idea on the spot. “I understand your frustration Mark, but, as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and General Manager of both Raw and Smackdown, I think I have a plan that may work for you. It involves the Executive Order.” Henry seems to be listening as we go to commercial.
Returning to Smackdown, a recap airs of the attack that the Real Americans put on the WWE Tag Team Champions, AirBoom after their match last week. NON-TITLE MATCH: WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS AIRBOOM DEF. HUNICO & CAMACHO
If the WWE Tag Team Champions were banged up from the attack by the Real Americans on Raw, they didn’t let it show here. Hunico and Camacho put up a good fight, but weren’t enough to get by AirBoom. Trouble in Paradise onto Hunico allowed Kofi Kingston to score the pinfall. Cheers ring out throughout the arena as Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne are handed their titles and celebrate the victory. Even though the Real Americans aren’t in the arena tonight, one has to figure that they are in the minds of AirBoom. Backstage, Matt Striker is standing by with Rey Mysterio. He asks for his thoughts on his match tonight with Chris Jericho. “You know Matt, I’ve faced Chris Jericho more times than I can count throughout my career. But this is different. This Chris Jericho is something entirely strange to me. He seems to be in such a dark place.” Rey continues by saying that despite this new version of Jericho, he’s still going to go out there and walk away with victory.
A promo airs for this week’s NXT. The Second Round of the NXT Championship Tournament begins as Bo Dallas takes on his rival, Big E Langston! Plus, Damien Sandow meets Derrick Bateman in the other Tournament match! KAITLYN DEF. TAMINA
Eve Torres chose to punish Kaitlyn by placing her in a match with the very tough Tamina, but Kaitlyn continues to show vast improvement here in 2012. She got the crowd behind her, weathered Tamina’s early offensive storm and scored the win using a Spear. The WWE Universe pops as Kaitlyn foils Eve Torres’ plan to punish her tonight. AJ Lee comes down to ringside, not doing her usual skipping as she’s still feeling the effects of her match against Eve and Kharma on Monday. She congratulates her friend and they celebrate together. We now see Chris Jericho walking towards the ring because the main event is next! Before the commercial though, a video recap of his battle with John Cena on Monday is shown. A promo is shown promoting Raw 1000, set to come to you in July! Tune in this Monday to get a huge announcement regarding an appearance on Raw 100! CHRIS JERICHO DEF. REY MYSTERIO
Rey Mysterio was right when he said this was going to be different than his previous matches with Chris Jericho. Jericho was a far more aggressive competitor here, attempting to basically twist Rey in ways that he shouldn’t twist. Rey, ever the underdog, would hit some springboard moves to get some near falls. He tried the 619, but Jericho caught his legs and pulled him through for the Walls of Jericho. Rey didn’t want to tap, but was forced to after Jericho reared back and placed his knee in the small of Rey’s back. The crowd boos loudly as Chris Jericho has defeated Rey Mysterio. Their boos grow louder when it becomes clear that Jericho is not done. Even though Rey has tapped out, Jericho is not letting go of the hold. Officials rush out to try and get him to release the Walls of Jericho, but they can’t get him to stop. Rey passes out from the pain, leading to Jericho finally letting go. He smiles down at the fallen Rey to close the broadcast. Trending Topics: #PeepShow #NoWayOut #JerichovsMysterio #ICTitle #SixManTag

Peep Shows everywhere. Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton will be a classic match. An obvious victory for Sheamus here, not sure how much it would go over as an opening match, but still, it got Sheamus over and promoted Monday's Raw where he will confront Ziggler. A big challenge (pun intended) for Cody, and I think a cowardly countout is the best way to go to keep him strong. Would have probably preferred this to go on first to be honest. Nice heel victory in the tag team match, Wade Barrett as World Champion is definitely good. Mark Henry is always lumped in with the nearest corporate group as a monster, it seems. Would love to see him have another singles run. A good win for AirBoom, and a Jericho/Mysterio feud can never go wrong. Hope Jericho goes over in the long-run though. And he does tonight, even having a bit of an aggressive streak too - the best kind of Jericho. A good SmackDown, mostly Raw build.

Alright, Smackdown. A good opener to Smack-eth-down with the Peep Show. Ambrose wants chaos! HE WANTS RANDY TO TRY AND HURT HIM! Has he called Ray Rice or Chris Brown? A match between the two at No Way Out was expected. Hopefully this one has a definitive ending. Moving on, Sheamus beating Heath Slater. Such a shock. He wants more of Dolph Ziggler! GET 'EM, FELLA! Haha, Big Show, Cody Rhodes got himself counted out. I'm sure this will turn to a feud for Show and Rhodes, though. Moving on to this six man tag team match, good victory for Otunga, McIntyre and Barrett. Best decision to have Way Burruh get the pinfall, too. Executive Order is so beloved by the fans. Solid win for Airboom, basically squashing Hunico and Camacho whom I literally forgot even exists. Seriously. I don't think I ever saw a match they were in. No, Rey, you're gonna lose. Kaitlyn beating Tamina, no surprise here, with her angel going on with Kharma and Eve Torres and stuff. Finally, the main event. A good match it would be, as always between Jericho and Mysterio, with the right man going over. Jericho is frigin' crazy! KILL MYSTERIO! KILL EM! I mean, ahem, okay. A fine episode of Smackdown, looking forward to No Way Out with the card thus far for sure.

June 4th, 2012 | Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
WWE Raw opens with a video package showing the highlights of the Elimination Chase. After it wraps, we cut to the arena, where we are joined by the WWE Champion himself, CM Punk. He walks to the ring to a ton of cheers before entering and grabbing a microphone. He starts by saying the name Daniel Bryan. “Daniel and I go way back. We came up on the independent scene together, we became good friends and we celebrated together after he won the World Heavyweight Title at TLC last year. Then something changed. Daniel Bryan turned into a completely different person.” Punk continues to discuss the ways that Bryan has changed, until he is cut off by John Laurinaitis. He walks down to the ring and stands in front of Punk. Laurinaitis says that they have a history and it’s not a good one. “Punk, you used my good name in your infamous pipe bomb in Las Vegas last year and became famous because of it.” He continues to say that Punk doesn’t respect his authority and isn’t the kind of Champion that the WWE needs, like Wade Barrett is. Laurinaitis says that he didn’t appreciate Punk’s tone last week. Punk responds by claiming that he is not afraid of Laurinaitis and he doesn’t care what the “prototypical” champion is because he’s made a living off of being different. Laurinaitis gets fed up with Punk and books him in a match tonight. “Punk, you’re going to team with another ingrate, Alberto Del Rio, to take on Daniel Bryan and my World Heavyweight Champion, Wade Barrett, in the main event tonight!” He throws the microphone down and storms out of the ring as Punk stares at him bewildered. A graphic appears on screen announcing two more big matches tonight. One, will feature John Cena taking on Brodus Clay, but up next, a WrestleMania rematch as two new partners have been forced to do battle when Kane meets Zack Ryder with a US Title shot on the line.
Returning, the United States Champion Drew McIntyre is in the ring. He says that he just wanted a front row seat to watch the WWE’s two biggest idiots, Zack Ryder and Kane, tear each other apart for a shot at his Championship. He joins commentary. NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH: KANE AND ZACK RYDER FOUGHT TO A NO CONTEST
Unlike their match at WrestleMania, this wasn’t a personal encounter. There wasn’t a desperation factor from Zack Ryder. Instead, it was more of a basic match between two guys who were starting to get along. Of course, with a title shot on the line, things got a bit more aggressive as things progressed but Drew McIntyre was clearly being loud and trash talking both guys on commentary. Ryder noticed this at one point, and went outside to confront him. They get in each other’s face and Kane joins by nailing McIntyre. This leads to a big brawl that results in the bell being called. Zack Ryder levels Drew McIntyre when David Otunga rushes out to assist. He runs right into a big boot from Kane. The newly formed tag team of Kane and Zack Ryder may not have earned a United States Title shot, but they made a statement against Executive Order.
John Laurinaitis, Eve and World Champion Wade Barrett are shown in his office when Drew McIntyre barged in, with David Otunga trailing. McIntyre is furious about what just happened. “Where was my help? David tried but nobody else could lift a finger? How could you let this happen?” Laurinaitis, who is clearly in a foul mood tonight, does not respond well to being yelled at. He says that he doesn’t take orders from Drew. “I only want the toughest of the tough with me here Drew! Prove that to me! For your insubordination, you’ll defend the United States Title at No Way Out against both Kane and Zack Ryder in a Triple Threat match!” The crowd pops as McIntyre is stunned and Eve is fuming. In a rare moment, Laurinaitis makes a decision that the WWE Universe likes. ANTONIO CESARO W/ ZEB COLTER & JACK SWAGGER DEF. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPION EVAN BOURNE W/ KOFI KINGSTON
Last week on Raw, the Real Americans called out the WWE Tag Team Champions, AirBoom, before attacking them. Tonight, one half of each team got to strut their stuff and Antonio Cesaro once again impressed everyone. The deceptively powerful superstar was able to beat Evan Bourne with the Neutralizer. Antonio Cesaro gets to his feet and raises his fist high in the air as Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger join him. Kofi Kingston helps Evan Bourne out of the ring but gives a serious glare in the direction of WWE’s newest tag team. It’s clear that these four men are on a collision course. Backstage, Scott Stanford is standing by with John Cena. As Cena steps into the shot, he is greeted with his usual mixed reaction. Stanford questions him about his status heading into the upcoming match with Brodus Clay considering the number that Chris Jericho did on his back last week. Cena says that he is in no way 100%. “My back has been hurt before, but this is another a whole different level. Chris Jericho is a man possessed and I have to beat him at No Way Out. I have to change my fortunes this year. Tonight, I start that with you Brodus Clay.” Sheamus is shown walking towards the arena. The “Celtic Warrior” has promised to call out Dolph Ziggler and he will do so, next!
A promo is shown for this Friday’s edition of Smackdown. After last week’s match ended with Cody Rhodes getting himself counted out, the Big Show has earned another shot. Will Cody Rhodes escape once again? Or will Big Show add the one title that he needs to complete the elusive Grand Slam?
As we cut to the arena, in Greenville, the theme of Sheamus hit as the “Celtic Warrior” steps out onto the stage, beating his chest and screaming “FELLA!” When he gets down to the ring, he grabs a microphone and begins to talk about Dolph Ziggler. “After WrestleMania, I challenged you because you disrespected a man that I consider to be a legend and future Hall of Famer, Mick Foley. We did battle all over the place. On Raw, on Smackdown, in multiple cities and in multiple match types. Whether it was Extreme Rules or a Belfast Brawl, we beat the hell out of each other. After the Scramble Match, we moved to the Elimination Chase, where you lost fair and square fella. That wasn’t enough for you though was it? You had to do this.” Sheamus takes us to a video of Dolph Ziggler attacking him with a steel chair last Monday and costing him his shot at the WWE Championship. Before Sheamus can continue, he is cut off. Dolph Ziggler appears on the stage, with Vickie Guerrero flanked behind him. He has a microphone in hand and, as he has for the past week, looks like he means business. He starts by saying that the reason he hit Sheamus with the chair last week is simple. “I’m better than you Sheamus. I should not only be the number one contender but I should be the WWE Champion. I should have won it at the Royal Rumble, I should have won it at Over the Limit and I should have won the Elimination Chase. I am the best damn wrestler in the WWE and yet I have nothing to show for it!” Sheamus responds, “If you are better than me fella, then why did I beat you at Extreme Rules and why didn’t you win the Elimination Chase?” The crowd pops for this but Dolph cuts them off by saying that he needs to get his head on straight and focus. “Anybody can get lucky Sheamus. My sole mission is to prove to everyone that I am what I say am I and that’s the Showoff. You and me, No Way Out, one last time. But this time, we do it 2 out of 3 falls. I will prove, once and for all, that there is nobody better than me, especially you.” Dolph slams the microphone down and heads to the back, as even Vickie Guerrero looks confused. Sheamus has a bit of a smirk before he ends the segment by saying that he accepts the challenge. As we return, a recap is shown of the previous segment. Dolph Ziggler has gotten very serious about proving how good he is, and challenged Sheamus to a 2 out of 3 falls match at No Way Out. It has been made official as a graphic for the match is shown.
Backstage, Eve Torres enters the Divas locker room, to talk with Kaitlyn and AJ Lee. She tells them that she is a professional and there shouldn’t be any hard feelings or ill will between them. “I would like to give you more chances to one day be Divas Champion, like I have been. So tonight, you get a shot to impress me when you team up against the Bella Twins.” JOHN CENA DEF. BRODUS CLAY
Since beating the Big Show at Extreme Rules, Brodus Clay has lost some steam. He lost in the Intercontinental Title Tournament, to Show at Over the Limit and then again last week to Alberto Del Rio. Tonight, his fortunes did not change as he was beaten by one of the greatest Superstars in WWE history. John Cena, in an attempt to prove something to Jericho, made the monster submit using the STF. Michael Cole mentions that John Cena just won a match via submission, showing that he is indeed ready for the Submission Match at No Way Out. Chris Jericho is not in the arena tonight, allowing Cena to enjoy his victory in peace. WWE Champion CM Punk is shown preparing for the main event backstage when Alberto Del Rio enters. They have a stare down before Punk speaks. “Look, I know we haven’t seen eye to eye. You cashed in Money in the Bank on me, I won this title from you at Survivor Series. But tonight, we put that aside because there are two guys that we’re facing and there are future Championship implications.” Del Rio cuts him off, “Punk, I understand. I may not like you but I respect you and the fact that we both put being Champion above everything else.” They seem to have an understanding as we head to break. A promo airs for this Wednesday’s NXT. The first two matches in the Second Round of the NXT Championship Tournament goes down. Big E Langston goes one on one with Bo Dallas, while Derrick Batmen faced Damien Sandow! THE BELLA TWINS DEF. THE CHICKBUSTERS
During the third season of NXT, AJ Lee and Kaitlyn became best friends and their Chickbusters tag team has been a relatively successful one. However, Eve Torres’ plan to seemingly hurt them emotionally and physically worked tonight. They had a miscommunication that caused AJ to get speared by Kaitlyn. Brie threw Kaitlyn out of the ring and pinned AJ to win. The Bella Twins celebrate a rare win as Kaitlyn rolls in the ring to check on AJ Lee. As AJ is able to get to her feet, she shoves Kaitlyn aside and they get into a big of an argument. They do make up and seem to leave on good terms. Our cameras catch Eve watching on a monitor backstage with a grin on her face. Cutting away, Daniel Bryan is shown walking to the ring because our main event is next!
DANIEL BRYAN AND WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION WADE BARRETT DEF. WWE CHAMPION CM PUNK AND ALBERTO DEL RIO
A great tag team match to close out our show tonight. Because they were so good as rivals, Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk worked extremely well as a team. However, Wade Barrett and Daniel Bryan were a bit rockier. They argued on multiple occasions, as their bitter feud over the World Title from earlier this year came to light. The referee gets knocked down at one point, leading to Del Rio and Barrett brawling outside and through the crowd. John Laurinaitis walks down to the ring and gets on the apron, arguing with Punk. During this argument, Daniel Bryan was able to roll Punk up and pin the WWE Champion! Daniel Bryan celebrates the victory like he just won the WWE Championship. He even steps outside to grab the title and run around the ring with it shouting “YES!” Punk goes to get the title, and Bryan just drops it off on the apron and backs up the ramp. John Laurinaitis looked on smiling as his hope for a world where CM Punk is not the WWE Champion is looking more realistic by the day. Alright, here we go with Raw Supershow. Still sounds weird. A solid opening promo, would love to see CM Punk beat the ever living piss out of Big Johnny. A good tag team match set up for later on. HEY! KANE AND ZACK RYDER ARE BUDDIES! HOW DARE THEY BE PITTED AGAINST EACH OTHER! I like how they thwarted things, though. A triple threat match at No Way Out sounds solid. I expect Drew to keep the belt, though. Antonio Cesaro beating Evan Bourne was fine and dandy, would like to see The Real Americans get the straps. I feel like I've said that before. Well, anyway, that's what I hope damn it! A solid promo between Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus, two really impressive workers without the best mike skills. Anyway, looking forward to the two out of three falls match. Should be fabulous. #PushZiggler. I know you will, so, I don't know why I did that. Anyway. Moving on, lol Brodus Clay. Such a main event player, ain't he? Losing to John Cena was no surprise, especially via submission. Good build to Cena's match against Chris Jericho there. Punk and Del Rio. Awkward. The Chickbusters should really be called The Chickbuster. You know why? Only one of them really has bust. HA! HA! HA! So funny. Anyway, Eve is an evil bitch watching from the back as The Bella Twins win, ain't she? Finally the main event. I would complain about back to back tag team matches but I'm the nicest guy here, so. Plus, it was divas. Anyway, Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett getting the win was good for them and Bryan getting the pin on Punk is huge for him. I dig it. A good episode of Raw that was very fundamental building towards No Way Out.
