It was a helluva good week for my figure hunting (albeit expensive) as I received three packages, two from RSC and one from another seller. Figured I'd take some pics as some of them are new to us all!
The Real American, Antonio Cesaro from E23! This is a great figure made even better by the jacket I received earlier this week. I understand Mattel cutting the coat for the budget, but it would have been sweet to get it.
Cesaro takes off his coat in preparation for the bout. Great detail on the back as well!
Out comes his opponent, from E22 and someone who actually got to have his coat as an accessory... Damien Sandow!
Turns out it was an imposter! I swapped the heads as I'm displaying the basic with the robe and like to have serious heads on my Elites in my fed. "Only Elite figures allowed in the ring... You're welcome!"
Even having it in my hands, I still like the bigger one better. The smaller one does appear to be a darker gold (although it may just be less faded than mine). I'll display it with my basic Cesaro.
Wait a minute... Here's a surprise! It's another former US Champion, JBL! I feel like this is the forgotten figure from E23 but it was definitely the prize for me. Glad he came with the coat, hat, and towel instead of the belt.
Definitely not a fan of JBL's torso. In a perfect world he'd have the Bulldog torso or maybe even the Regal torso. But I understand these are idealized versions.
But wait! Somebody doesn't want JBL interfering... It's my other figure receiving this week... RSC exclusive Cactus Jack!
I don't like to say "This is how Mattel should have made it," but Cactus definitely looks better with the cloth vest (also from my order this week) and Barbie.
Cactus chases off JBL but there was one more piece in my clothing order this week...
It's Big E Langston! (Or at least his singlet). Never was a fan of Zeke so he makes a good surrogate Big E for now. They even sized it to fit the larger body for me.
Big Ending on Sandow! The Master of the 5 count appears to want the US title!
... but The Real American escapes with both belts! I do want to swap on some larger arms on Cesaro, and I think with that change and the jacket, he is definitely the best figure I've received this week.
I rave about Mattel as much as anybody on this board, but these are four of their best efforts so far, I must say. Just some minor additions make them great. And hopefully this version of Big E is only a temporary solution... Come on, E26!
