Hey guys recently bought the Cell playset. (mattel one) and I was wondering how to shoot using it, would it be ok to have one of the sides open to see the action better? I haven't taken any pics using it yet but I imagine taking one through the cage wouldn't look very good. Any advice?

With the Cell you have to use creativity. Take one side off but dont make it obvious that there is a side off. Also use "aerial" pictures where it seems there's a camera on the roof of the cage. Also shooting at an angle through the (Open) door can work as well.

Agree completely with this, and the only thing I have to add would be to do one or two wide angle shots with the cell complete and wrestlers inside to make it appear that it's all there, a bit like what the WWE do. They have camera men inside the cell, which you would do by moving the panel, but occasionally show bits of action from cameras looking through the cell walls.

I would just take the one side off while filming but show the entire structure for the entrances.
