Another one of these threads? Clearly the answer is yes from collectors, but no from MDT due to the failure at retail.

You're beating a dead horse here... MDT has addressed this numerous times already and it's not going to happen. Accept it.

If the MdT would make the ring not so dang big and limited some of the accessories then the cost could easily be 69.99 - 79.99. The 100 price point just scares people away.

I got mine for 60 at retail when it first came out. Also there were no accessories that came with it unless you include rope, skirt, and turnbuckles.

I don't want an RSR. I just want one around the size of the Hardcore ring that doesn't have springs.

I would like to see one made where it is not as big somewhere between the basic rings and the RSR If it was anymore than an inch or two smaller, it wouldn't be in scale. Another one of these threads? Clearly the answer is yes from collectors, but no from MDT due to the failure at retail. Yes yes yes another one of these threads! If the MdT would make the ring not so dang big and limited some of the accessories then the cost could easily be 69.99 - 79.99. The 100 price point just scares people away. It wasn't a hundred dollars. It was sixty dollars, then cheaper, because nobody wanted to buy it. That's why we're not going to see another one.

Lets see what we can come up with here Wfigs members RSR was jakks ESR was mattel so you are complaining to the wrong people if you want a RSR like the title says. That being said mattel has said numerous times it will never happen again.

I don't see why they can't do it like the Ecto 1 on matty collector. Where if the pre-orders don't meet the minimum quota they won't be produced.
That way we have to prove we want it before they waste their time making it only for us not to buy it.

I dont EVER see a new ESR coming out again. There is just not a big enough market for it. Only way I could see them consider it is if they did something on Matty Collector like they did with Castle Grey Skull. But I would like a new one as much as the next person. Im glad I got one when they hit big lots.

I think the only way we'll see it again is if they eventually give it a run at Ringside.
It "bombing" in sales doesn't make sense when most of us never saw it until it hit Big Lots. That leads me to believe that retailers themselves simply didn't want to stock it, so Mattel had no choice but to ship the rest of the units to Big Lots. It's pretty freakin' popular on here, and on eBay we can all see the prices that thing gets.
Put a new version out with updated logos and white ropes on Ringside, sell it for very reasonable $45-50. If ti does well, offer Smackdown skirts, then classic WWF skirts, etc.
Mattel has a market much bigger than when they started. We were told that Elites were doing extremely well straight from the source, so that gives me hope that in the future, they'll take more risks again. But if retailers don't want to even give it a chance, they'll likely have to try it online, if at all.
