After having the last two WrestleMania outdoors with XXX being indoors again,
I have to say, I vastly prefer having WrestleMania outdoors. For some reason, it just seems like it adds like a much more special, exclusive feel to the show compared to indoors.
On that note, kind of. I hated it when they went from stadiums back to arenas for 20-22. They make them nearly unwatachable for me watching them back. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but 20-22 definitely suffer in my opinion from not being in a stadium. I understand why XX was at MSG, but... eh. Imagine like... the spear into the flaming table spot from 22 in a massive stadium with 70,000 people jumping to their feet for it.
Anyways, What do you prefer? Indoors or outdoors?

Depends on the stadium honestly. Call me weird but for me the make or break of the stadium is the color of the roof, for me I LOVE when its a white roof like Georgia Dome and the Vikings stadium, unfortunately though Mercedes benz in NOLA doesn't have that type of roof.
What get's me mad when WWE does outdoor Wrestlemania's is I feel like they don't capitalize enough on it being out doors. I hate how they have the tent thing over the ring. I understand why they have it to prevent rain and if they ever have a HIAC match outdoors again. I just wish it was just a invisble tarp/tent and see threw that way you could see the sun light and stuff. This year though it was cool because they had the statue of liberty on it.
Overall though I perfer the outdoor Wrestlemania's and when I went last year it being outdoors made it 10x better for me. I think it gets the crowd more going adn excited having it outdoors because it gives the feeling ANYTHING can happen because WWE can't control the weather.

Indoors.
Most of the time in outdoor Wrestlemanias, the crowd sound silent because theres no roof to keep the sound in, so theres rarely any huge pops even if there is one in the arena.

I get that WM is the superbowl of wrestling and it has to be a bigger and better spectacle than the year before. IMO though having it in the stadiums EVERY year takes away from the importance.
After the first WrestleMania the first major stadium show was Big Event. It wasn't made to be a big show but gave off a PPV feel to it with 70,000 fans. It probably put the thought that they could have WrestleMania in a stadium. From WM III, it wasn't until WM VI that there was another stadium PPV. Then WM VIII. They tried with VII but that didn't work out but having it year after year IMO takes away from the feel of the truly big shows that feature a main event like Andre/Hogan or Warrior/Hogan or even Orndorff/Hogan.
I guess what it all comes down to is money because if they can get a stadium to fit 70,000+ people they will do it as opposed to an arena that will only fit 30,000.

I prefer indoors. Some outdoor stadiums look cool because they give the event a much "bigger" feel but like others have said w/ no roof there are hardly any big pops. I'm also a traditionalist and love the oldschool WM looks.

Well, I was surprised how low the sound came off at WM29 on PPV. It was so loud there. So definietly indoors.

Indoors. Outdoors takes away the crowd pops, plus the daylight at the beginning of the outdoor WM events just ruins it. Just feels like pre-show warmup matches when they're wrestling in daylight with little to no crowd noise.

Outdoors for the look and feel, but you can hear the fans so much better indoors because the sound stays in the stadium.

Wrestling fans dont get as loud as most football fans, you really need to be indoors to get that extra echo to make the stadium rattle. You cant get that being outside.

The only good outdoor crowd was at Mania 28, they were loud the entire event, from Bryan/Sheamus to Cena/Rock at the end. But indoor is a lot better for a PPV like Mania

I like the arena look but I think if they have the chance of closing a retractable roof they should (to keep the sound in)

Honestly, it doesn't really matter to me. It's all about the atmosphere they create, and that can be great both inside and outside. Regardless of whether or not there's a roof over the stadium, Wrestlemania crowds tend to come off quiet on TV because of the size of the place. It's hard to get 70,000+ fans in unison the way that might happen at a football game at the same stadium. With that being said, I don't think the trade off (going back to small arenas) is worth it, either, it's just something to deal with.

Doesn't really matter to me, although I wish Summerslam was outside. It'd fit the name and atmosphere so much better. I think it'd be awesome.
