Here is an idea I've been kicking around: Has anyone tried creating their own bubbles? I'm wondering if this could be done either by vacuform, or simply melting clear styrene over (or into?) a sculpted mold.

Ive never seen a custom bubble, ive seen plenty of outer shell bubbles 'rectangle' style that people recycle from food stuffs and the like.
The vacuform idea is very cool... i guess this may have been attempted but i dont know for sure. Its not the easist thing to do as it requires tools which the average person doesnt have access to. You would also need a bubble from every variant of hasbro fig that came out for the sake of the mold fitting, and if your like me, getting a bubble to fit around random parts, like a HEAVILY modified/puttied 'Bossman 1' fig, with a perfect hook arm and a sid left arm, it maybe more problematic. If you have... give it a go, post it on here, as i personally would like to see how good they are. I have been wanting to create bubbles for years now, or at least a shell, but i have never found the right size, or if i have, i wasnt thinking about how it would look surrounding a hasbro.

Depends on what paints you use, and in fairness, its trial and error. Also, hogan 3 is a lot different in terms of skin tone compared to Jake Roberts for example.

Hey guys...
I posted my own topic in regards to repainting Hasbros...
I read this thread and realized I don't know the first thing.
Can you guys recommend any types of paint, and I guess primer/undercoat?
Is the primer/undercoat necessary?
Thanks!

Great thread - really helpful and I think I may start trying to customise. I used to collect Star Wars and tried a few customs then.
Anyways...I have a spare Shawn Michaels Rocker so thought I could attempt a custom with him. Any suggestions? I thought Jeff Hardy maybe?
Any ideas on which head would be suitable!?

Your best bet for milliput is Hobby Craft, we have them here in the UK also. Its not a cheap place, but you can get everything from there, warhammer paints, sealers, brushes, undercoats, cloth, materials, clay, tools etc etc. www.hobbycraft.co.uk/cms/storefinder.asphave a look on the link to find your closest store. Its nice to see people still using this thread after all this time, awesome Dustin, AD's. Looking tight

If your not going to seperate the figure, you need to look at the head, seriously think about a face that it may resemble, in honest the rockers heads are horrible for customs, they are not the best to transform in to someone else. Possibly a Big Stevie Cool, not sure though.... although, you could sculpt a mask and make a lucha fig, like psychosis for e.g

in terms of hasbro customs im getting really mad with a guy called 'lee28lee' on ebay. this guy is buying customs and then as soon as he recieves them lists them at stupid prices, ie he will buy one for £1.50 then list it for £25. that stupidity kind of makes me laugh, but what really grinds my gears is that hes bringing down the customs market and selling on other customisers work on buy it nows which when he has a few of the same wrestler now kind of gives that figure a market value, which from a customisers view is not acceptable, i thrive off my work selling whether it being for £5 or £55 just to know that someone likes my work that much that they would pay that much money for it, but this guy is killing it
