So I guess this is suppose to be an upgrade to the Mattel belts? Sorry if this doesn't belong here.

Looks fairly good. Wonder how it compares to Mattels version.

Looks fairly good. Wonder how it compares to Mattels version. Yea, it does. I guess these are what they sell at live shows.

It's Unbelievable [Biggie Smalls is the illest]
-But yeah, isn't that just the Mattel Belt that they've been selling since the title debut?

The belts are different. Live Event Belt: -more accurate color scheme -smaller rubies -more spacing in between the rubies -dark outline that spells out "CHAMPION" (I believe this isn't raised/molded lettering, just screen print) -the WWE Logos on the side plates appear to be colored Retail Mattel Belt: -deeper color scheme -molded "CHAMPION" title words -has the "rods/separators" between the medallions, -faux molded leather "backing" under the main plate -WWE Logos are uncolored -rubies are bigger and bunched in closer -is bigger They both have their pros and cons.

Not too bad for a $20-$30 toy belt.

No. Its not a Mattel belt. The Mattel ones doesnt have fake stones. Mattel one is just 1 whole mold with no separate pieces.

Why are the strap lengths always awkward?

The Mattel version is better, just wish the strap wasn't so small on their belts.

I remember buying the live event WWF title, it looked nothing like the winged eagle belt. The IC belt was a little better, but I think it was brown!

Yeah, the Mattel version looks better. It looks more accurate even though it does not have the fake stones like how it is on this one and the unpainted sideplates..

Why are the strap lengths always awkward? To cover kids from about three years old to [whatever age kids stop wearing wrestling belts]. For a smaller/skinnier kid, you cut the strap down to where it needs to be. I remember buying the live event WWF title, it looked nothing like the winged eagle belt. The IC belt was a little better, but I think it was brown! Yeah, I remember the old title they sold too. The winged eagle debuted (I think) on The Main Event in 1988 when Andre beat Hogan for the title, but they kept selling the previous design for years. I bought one at a live event in 1991. At some point during Warrior's reign, they did the winged eagle belt for kids but I think that was only sold in stores, they kept hawking the old style ones at events.
