Did your TRUs raise the price for DC Total Heroes from $9.99 to $17.49? Mattel discontinued DCUC/Batman Unlimited Four Horsemen-scuplted figures because it was getting too expensive for retail, but then they put out a new line with less detail and articulation and ends up at pretty much the same price. I dont get it.

I dont get it. Last I looked they raised it to $14. Can't blame Mattel for that though. The MSRP is $9.99 but I think TRU feels that they were selling so well people will pay a higher price for them so they (TRU) raised it thinking they will still sell, but that'll bite them in the @$$. My local store went through at least 10 cases the first couple of weeks, but since they raised the price they aren't moving nearly as well...and the last time I was there they had 2 Batman, 3 Hal, and about 12 each of Superman and Sinestro. Luckily I hear KMart is starting to carry them at the MSRP price. And I think they are on Mattel Shop for the $9.98. But TRU is crazy if they think the regular figures will sell for $18 when the Ultra figures on Matty are only $20 with extra heads and larger accessories. |

I have 2 stores one went from 9.99-17.49, They did the same on TRU.com and went up to 14.99. Matty is charging 20.00 for the Ultra figures which are worth it considering you get accesories and extra heads.

What was everyone's opinion on Virus Attack Mr. Freeze? I thought it was one of the most obscure figures Kenner ever made. Mr. Freeze's head looked like it could double as Zordon

I know the designer series figures are supposed to come out this month. Anyone know a more specific time? Like mid April or late April? I have them on preorder and can't wait to get them. I ordered Batman, Nightwing, Riddler, and 3 Talons.

I know this isn't the 60s Batman figure line thread but I went to TRU after a Dr. Appointment today and finally saw the Regular Joker I would have bought it if it wasn't $27.99 which is too high for me. Why does TRU have to Price gouge things? on a side note has anyone ever seen the DC figures that Barnes and Noble sells?

I don't know why they feel the need to do that, but my TRU had a case of '66 Bats yesterday. No Surf's Up Joker yet.

Progress, baby!  Got the rooftop painted. Haven't installed the magnets yet to hold it to the structure, but that'll happen soon. I want to add some little modular accessories to the top, I'm thinking a small water tower and maybe something else.  The lower floor is gonna be a lab setup, so I went with all gray. Once I get some materials to make the base, I want to make the interior floor have this plastic knitting grid stuff on it to give a nice metal floor look. I have a bunch of accessories for when the lab gets a little farther along. The ceiling/second floor both have those support beams attached by magnets, and the ceiling itself is attached to the main walls by magnets for reinforcement.  The upper floor is meant to look like a run-down, abandoned hideout-type place. I went with the hardwood floor look, with a wood beam for support. I really like the colors and overall feel of this floor. As you can see, I still have to finish making windows. I also need to make a few accessories, since there are holes on the smaller wall that I need to cover up (they're where the fire escape slides in, so I'd make something hollow and stick it over the sticks as camouflage in order to maintain total collapsibility. Coming along - gonna use this in some stop-motion animation at some point soon! I used the exterior in my Godzilla project that I posted down the page, but the interior wasn't painted at that point. Still, it's a fun project and I really like how it's coming along. |

I got the GOW figure for my brother actually, but as I was doing the photos in groups I had no other 'extraneous' figures to put it with so I thought it best to put with them. Lol |
