The Batmobile/Batman 2 pack is really nice.
Once the Batman 6 pack gets delivered I’ll have an extra Keaton, so I’m going to attempt to transplant a Mezco Keaton head onto the McFarlane body. The only thing that bothers me about the McFarlane is the thin neck. They should have had the cowl be all one piece. They’ve done it on other Batman figures, so this was a weird choice.
Just eyeballing it, the only issue I might have is that the Mezco bat symbol is smaller than the McFarlane even though the actual heads are in scale, so I’m deciding if I’m going to dig out the McFarlane bat symbol and patch the hole somehow like with a model putty, or I could attempt to cut the Mezco bat symbol off the head and work it around the McFarlane bat symbol.
Looking at the actual 89 suit, it seems like the McFarlane symbol is actually too big anyway, and they didn’t paint the trim, so I’m leaning toward digging out the McFarlane symbol, patching it, and then applying the Mezco head.
We’ll see what happens. I likely won’t be attempting it soon just bc I don’t have the time right now and I want to wait until I have the 6 pack anyway, but this is an idea I’ve had for a while.

That’s normally what happens when I have anything McFarlane preordered with Amazon. So I was actually surprised when I saw they had taken my payment the day before it was scheduled to arrive last week. |

Well hopefully it's that but I have been screwed over on about half my Amazon pre-orders, no matter the brand If it makes you feel better, my Batmobiles don’t even have a date after the initial delay - so I’d say I’m more likely to get cancelled. I very rarely have had issue with Amazon personally. It’s been a while and nowhere has been as bad as Walmart to me. Amazon and Target I’ve had occasional blips and disappointments but don’t recall any for myself in some time. |

Had to get my Batmobile from eBay which sucks but it's currently in transit and I'm looking forward to it, especially after PJ's photos. The Keaton likeness looks way better than I expected and I have no issues with the articulated neck. I know Nicholson is notorious for not letting his likeness out but it will be great to see if Joker, Catwoman and Penguin end up getting releases as well.
Also I hope with the announcement of the second Batman '89 series later this year they would consider the Two Face from the last book and the Scarecrow from the new one.
From what I see, McFarlane does majority comic book looks for DC Multiverse? Is this a possibility, do you guys think? What's the criteria for what gets picked and what doesn't, from what you can tell?

If they don’t release a Penguin Mattel did release a Batman Returns Penguin that might work. I’ll see if I can take a pic of him with Batman later today. He’s on the top left corner of this shelf.  |

I do remember that one. It would be great to see how they do it...to be honest I bought Penguin from The Batman as I loved that treatment but I packed it away for the move so I'm not going to be able to compare for a while.
Wanted to have The Batman Penguin, Dark Knight Joker and '66 Riddler as a mini rogue gallery but since the '66 Riddler is out of scale that completely throws me off haha. So maybe I'll just be satisfied with Batman Forever Riddler which seems likely after they announced the Batman & Robin stuff.
But if not I'd for sure go with Batman '89 stuff, especially if that book ever ends up having the Robin Williams-Riddler that never was.
