Official Batman/DC Figure Thread...

I picked up Hugo Strange and Batman/superman Fusion yesterday at Walmart. I did swap the Hugo Strange cape with the Adam Weat Batman before I took these pics.

No. It’s the Year 2/Hush Buck for Hugo.

I feel like Amazon changed the date on my Spinmasters 4" Batwing a minimum of 5 times. Got a new date for Oct 8-14 a few minutes ago.

I don’t think it’s a licensing issue. One of Mattel’s last DC figures was Kilmer in the Panther suit. Prime 1 Studio also did a statue of the panther suit recently.

I think the Sonar Suit gets more “favoritism” because it was the main costume used for the majority of the movies promotion, and it’s Kilmers most unique suit between the two.

Personally I prefer the Panther suit but like them both. I’m sure at some point Todd will make a Panther Suit, but he cheaped out with the Batman Forever wave by giving us a crappy repaint of the Sonar Suit. That was just a money grab to get Batman in the wave without having to tool a new figure.

PJ, did you find one in store or decided you didn't need it? I can swear I read they were in Target In June or July, but I never seen one.

Just decided I didn’t need it because the single cared figure came out as did the box set with Keaton, Bale & Affleck. So I canceled it and a bunch of Marvel Legends & Joes that kept getting pushed back. I can’t have everything all come in at once again like a few months back.

My wife and daughter took Benny to the vets to put him to rest. He stopped eating solid food on Friday. And then he stopped eating broth/lickable type foods yesterday. But at least he was still drinking. I knew it was time (this day was looming for over a couple years because he was really sick then. And they suggested putting him down, but I said we’d give it a couple days before I would even think of going down that road and to everyone’s surprise he responded.

Anyway I saw the writing on the wall, because for the last six weeks or so I had to give him medication 3 times a day for his heart. Which was 4am, noon and 8pm. The vet didn’t think he would survive to go through the bottle of medicine, but he fought this to have them have to refill the prescription 4 times. But yesterday he refused to eat so I had to put the food/medication on my figure and have him lick it off. But that only worked the first time. And his heart rate was very fast even at rest. So I knew he wasn’t going to bounce back again as much as I wanted him to. And he’d been trying to be by himself all weekend which is never a good sign.

This morning when I woke to give him his medication I couldn’t find him anywhere. So I knew where to look. He had buried himself under a desk behind a bunch of boxes. So I asked my wife to call the vets, but I couldn’t take him. (I regret that decision already) For 18 years he’s been my best friend and constant companion. Even on vacations I chose not to go on them so him and his brother wouldn’t be alone for the last 18 years. I think other than two overnight trips and one Thanksgiving where he had to stay overnight at the vets we were together every day.

Anyway I feel like I have been crying pretty much since Friday night. Anyway my wife said he passed instantaneously once they administered it to him. He passed at 5:20 this evening. Rest in Peace Benny. You were loved and you’ll be missed little buddy. I love you and now Shadow Knight Batman watches over you.
