I've gone a little NECA crazy as of late...tomorrow I should have hooded Colonel Stars and Stripes, foam Betsy Ross, bloody Carrie, and survival Rambo, with wave 1 Rambo and pre-blood Carrie on the way soonish (TRU's taking its sweet time on them). NECA has evolved so much in the past few years, it's nice seeing a collectible company putting out figures with so much detail AND articulation.
I tweeted NECA, asking what the odds were of them releasing a Big Daddy figure, seeing that Mezco dropped the ball and armored Kick-Ass looks SO nice, but they responded with "zero - licensing issues prohibit this figure from happening"
...I blame Hasbro and Ghost Rider for this.

Im gonna go NECA Predator crazy later in the year.....Im hoping that they guys from AVP get a shot too.some awesome designs there.

Blah, Colonel's leg fell off at the top knee pin as soon as I opened him. I haven't messed with NECA joints before, but I'd imagine the peg won't come out without a fight.

I got it apart, but the peg snapped when I tried putting it back in this morning, so now he's got a toothpick in its place. I didn't notice 'til last night that my Eisenhowers are slightly different colors. The one that came with my hooded Colonel is a tad darker and looks more realistic. Whether it be a running change or someone goin' a little crazy with the paint at the factory, I dig it. I've no idea what happened to my Survival Rambo. It had a tracking number, but now it doesn't show up on TRU.com. Hopefully it didn't get ruined along the way in a UPS truck, since there are a lot of winter storms going on here at the moment.  |

Yeah Ripley will be a must. I will wait for her Aliens figure though. Looking forward to adding Bishop to my collection too.

I wish I could walk into TRU and get him, but the only Neca my TRU ever gets are the Predator sets and all 2-Packs. Never saw any Rambo, Aliens (Singles) or any wave past 1 from Rocky at my local TRU.

I've been drooling over NECA's new Planet of the Apes line. I wish I had somewhere to put them! It's crazy how much NECA has grown in popularity. When I worked at Hot Topic 8-9 years ago, the NECA stuff was usually "that thing going on clearance next". I always picked them up when they hit clearance and boy did it pay off. NECA's Cult Classics and eBay helped me through my unemployment 2 years ago...in fact I think I was making more money then...where did I go wrong?

So...I got a little excited about the new Freddy and went and purchased a couple of 'em to piece together in order to make a complete "normal" Freddy in his later-movie looks (striped sleeves) before knowing how much effort it'd require to pull an arm apart to turn "Powerglove Freddy" and "one long arm and foot Freddy" into the look I want. Should I just be able to heat the peg up and pop 'em out?
