Don't feel so bad man, I'm a Chicagoan myself and even we don't get well stocked NECA sections. They just now started devoting actual spaces to them at the TRU stores, but it's as if they have 0 clue how to stock the things. They usually put out 2-3 different NECA guys at a time, and there's almost 0 consistency. I always get jealous watching people on Instagram who don't really collect the line post pics at their TRU, and you can spot a well stocked NECA section in the background. I honestly had 0 knowledge of the NECA line until a few months ago. I vaguely knew of the brand name, but over the years I had seen Predator/Alien toys at the store and really had no clue they were done by NECA. This past summer, out of the blue, I got curious about their product and purchased a Rocky along with the tech noir Terminator online just to see how they looked in person. I was absolutely blown away. Since then, my collection has exploded.

I agree the issue with the Bale Bats is largely the eyes. I passed on it. I prefer the suit from TDK anyway.
NECA is frustrating at retail. Their distributions is all over the place, even at places like TRU who actually get them. I honestly feel you either have to get the stuff online or have a local comic shop that does toy volume in order to keep up with them, unless you're fortunate enough to have a TRU that stays on top of it.
I love NECA as well. I've been collecting them since the start of the Cult Classics line with Draven and Bateman, and I've been in love ever since. The only real issue I have with them is how they dabble all over the place and don't go deep into very many lines. That's why I was so happy, but shocked, to see Prometheus Shaw seeing the light of day after she was canceled. NECA's Nathan Drake is probably my favorite figure of 2016. I'm not nearly as big of a fan of their real cloth style figures as I am their all molded 7" stuff though, to be totally fair. Stuff like Rocky and Alien from them is far superior than anything in the 8" clothed scale if you ask me. Their 1/4 scale stuff is insane, but I don't really collect figures that size.

I literally only have 2 NECA figures in my entire collection that weren't purchased online. And even those were doubles of figures I had already purchased through websites.

I feel like their distribution could be better but if you ask me how I couldn't tell you. Seems like some stores get some great stuff and other stores miss out which could be a store level issue. Also, I feel like the scalpers have figured out the value of neca figures. Anything that has sold out typically dramatically goes up in value.

I don't know how it is at other places, but at my local TrU (Nanuet NY) they get their Neca figures stocked by Neca. A couple times a month someone from Neca comes in and stocks the pegs.

I think they have a presence out there in that part of the world and california. I doubt it's very many stores that they actually have someone go stock.

My TRU used to have that, but then the reps stopped showing up. So now NECA product sits in the back for a while until someone from the store does it.

I'm beginning to think my TRU stores have 0 idea how to stock that entire section. They just fill empty spots as they open up, and don't keep brands together. You literally have to dig through everything to find what you want, since they'll have NECA stocked in 4-5 different areas. Today they had the newest Alien figures way in the middle, and the newest Predator figures far off at the end of the aisle to the right. Tucked in a random slot was a single Ash-vs-The Evil Dead 3pk, and 2 Nathan Drakes on the actual pegs. I mean I even found Diamond Select and Mattel Ghostbuster figures slotted in 2 different areas of the store.

It's because, I think, for the most part they employ people who could not give a about anything. Let's face it, the majority of people working in retail at the level of "stocking" are going to be minimally educated/experienced and thus minimally paid. Makes sense they would not give a .

They have stuff just stocked randomly any more. I can almost kind of understand not worrying about stocking all the NECA stuff together as they're different properties. You don't absolutely HAVE to have the Predator, Alien, and Ash vs. Evil Dead figures right together...but can we at least have all the Predator figures in the SAME aisle? I saw the newest wave of carded figures hanging in two different areas of the aisle on pegs...but the boxed figure (Clan Chief or something) was in a completely different aisle!?!

Evwn with all the stuff I've said about NECA I couldn't pass one of these up. Got him cheap out of box. Big Muhammad fan, definitely want to get one MOC now.

Even though I see them when buying Neca figures on TRU.com and their eBay page, I constantly manage to forget that they did those Simpsons figures. They look cool, but my wallet can't handle yet another extensive line to collect.

Have the Preacher figures been found anywhere yet? I haven't heard anything and they were not on necaonline.com's shipping calendar for Jan or Feb.
