This just felt like a WCW ending to me. I think aside from Shield vs. Rhodes this weeks NXT was more entertaining.

I am watching the replay of the PPV now and that Rhodes/Shield match was great.

First ballet HOF'er. And to think he was told that he'd never make it in this business wearing plain black trunks..

I didn't order this PPV (thankfully) and from everything I've read it sounds like it was a total train wreck outside of The Shield vs. Rhodes Family.
For starters...why have Del Rio beat RVD cleanly?? Van Dam has already lost a hundred times to Del Rio since he's come back and beating him cleanly in his own match makes RVD look incredibly weak. If he's really going to be taking 90 days off, this was pretty much a terrible sendoff.
Axel retaining sucks. R-Truth is such an underrated talent and I wish they'd use him better. Axel has been a total disappointment ever since joining Heyman. There's just nothing about this kid that's even the least bit marketable aside from his family legacy.
Santino/Khali vs. Real Americans and Bray vs. Kofi...I mean, were these even feuds that were going on? I admit I haven't watched all of RAW the past few weeks and haven't seen any of SmackDown in a while, but both of these matches just seemed like complete time fillers with absolutely zero build behind it. Awesome, Antonio Cesaro spun Khali around and around. Are they seriously trying to turn this into a gimmick of his or something?
AJ vs. Brie...glad AJ won, I guess. I don't care even the slightest about anything that goes on in the Divas division. I'm also a bit confused as to how the Bella Twins just suddenly became face with no real explanation. Because Brie is marrying Daniel Bryan that constitutes a face turn?
Punk vs. Ryback - Glad to see Punk finally come out on top for once in this feud, but wasn't the entire build behind this match about how after Punk beat Ryback at Battleground he would go after Heyman that night? Did he even have any sort of confrontation with Heyman? This feud has turned into a complete disaster and I just want to see it end so Punk can go back in the WWE TItle picture. I'm guessing the big final payoff will be Punk vs. Heyman at Hell In A Cell or something so that neither Axel or Ryback can interfere. Hopefully, that's it after that. Heyman is being given crap to work with managing Axel, who has never been over, and Ryback, whose career died the second he turned heel after Mania.
Rhodes vs. The Shield sounded awesome, and I'm glad the Rhodes family won. Hopefully, they really do keep Goldust around because he's been just as over as Cody throughout this feud. I'm actually looking forward to eventually seeing this match, as it sounded good and it's one of the few (only?) storylines that I've been interested in lately.
Bryan vs. Orton was a slap in the face to everybody. I said back in September that they would undoubtedly drag this feud out way too long and the final payoff with Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Title would be too little too late because everybody's interest would've been killed off by then and that's exactly what's happened. I'm sure both guys put on a great match, but a double-DQ ending to a PPV main event is just a complete lack of respect for the fans that pay their hard-earned money to watch this event. This is why I only order, at the most, two or three PPVs a year anymore. They could've saved this for an episode of RAW or something. I don't know what else to say except it's a total money-grab move and unfair to do to the fans. Awful, awful, awful. I stopped caring about this feud a while ago and my interest is officially completely gone. Triple H sure knows how to build stars, huh?

Not the greatest show but better then Night of Champions.I got pretty much what I expected and know put a gun to my head and made me order.I thought the Rhodes Family .Vs The Shield was MOTN and possibly a four star match up,good in ring work and awesome crowd. They all went bat crapcrazy when Cody got the pin. While the to world title matches were good(three star range) and Punk/Ryback was about what I expect.Just hate the fact that AGAIN Ryback loses. In terms of big time match ups Ryback is like 0-11 or 0-12 now, dude looks like a complete jobber now that can't win the big one,the WWE really drop the ball on him.

Just got home from attending Battleground, and it pains me to say that I thought it stunk. The Rhodes match was great, but nothing else really did it for me. Bryan and Orton was alright I guess, but that ending totally ruined it for me.
I'm curious though, for those who watched it, what went on during that power outage? It was weird cause the power was still on everywhere except the stage.

I loved the Rhodes/Shield match. I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time. The main event was awesome up until the finish. The match never ended and I hate that. The bell still hasn't been rung.
As for the rest of the card, I wasn't blown away but I was definitely somewhat entertained(oxymoron?). When I think about other things I would have rather done tonight than watch wrestling, not a lot comes to mind. At least it brought me and my friends together.
All in all, there were a couple matches that blew me away and the rest just kept me waiting to be entertained. Glad Punk won. Loved the exorcist spider crab walk. Daniel Bryan is awesome and the Rhodes' match was main event caliber. I feel like RAW tomorrow could be pretty solid. And I have a girl that wants to watch it with me. First timer. So that's exciting. And she's cool. And hot. Boom.

I didn't watch the show either, but from the results this is basically how I feel. The Cesaro thing was a gimmick of his one could say in the Indy's so that musta been cool. Ending is just annoying for me, very annoying.

meh PPV, the Rhodes vs Shield match was the best part IMO
I hated the end of the WWE title match felt very WCW like to me, I mean I get that Big Show was sent to take out D-Bryan, and lost his temper with Orton but its starting to get old now, It sucks that there is such a gap between the last PPV and HIAC which is clearly the place Orton vs Bryan is supposed to end, the whole PPV seemed very unnecessary (other than the Rhodes match) and they've now over pushed the "Big Show rage" angle.

pointless PPV on paper pointless PPV in execution
i really hope the buyrates are horrendous for either this OR hell in the cell.....so maybe FINALLY the WWE will realize having 2 PPVs in a month is absolutely stupid
ADR/RVD was a fun match Rhodes/Shield was excellent Cesaro is amazing Punk winning was dumb....why does the WWE build feuds for 2 weeks then just have the eventual conclusion play out like that? so there's nothing to work towards. The ending was a great build to continue the story.....NOT for a $55 pay per view. leave the "teases" to RAW

If this was a special three hour RAW during a time when RAW was normally two hours, this would have been the perfect middle point ot building to a PPV in about three weeks time. As a PPV that cost 50 plus bucks, kind of a slap in the face.
Hell, even with the normal three hours to RAW, this could have just been a highly hyped/touted RAW and it would have been awesome. Would have built up to HIAC really well.

i can't believe any one is surprised with the ending to this show since this story was never about Bryan and always about Bigshow and Bryan is essentially a seat filler for WWE until the security blanket returns from injury.

It was weird cause the power was still on everywhere except the stage. First of all, I honestly felt sorry for those that paid their hard earned money to be there. Even more so than those who bought it on Pay-Per-View. It was nothing more than a glorified Raw, so it shouldn't have cost any more than that. In answer to your question, the screen went black and then the traditional color bars came up, signifying that the feed had gone off air. After a couple of minutes, the cable provider(s) put up a "technical difficulties" notice. Then it just sort of clicked back on. It was befitting of the train wreck that was unfolding.

I guess I didn't realize this last night but dam. What terrible booking in the punk ryback match. It was rybacks first big match as a Heyman guy. He needed that win so much more than punk. And he lost to a freakin low blow. Just all around crap between that and the wwe /world title matches last night. And I usually never bitch and complain about ppvs. This one was hard to watch though.

The main event went as expected except the ending. Great match and I'm interested in who's gonna be the champ now. As for the world title, I really think Cody should be the champ or him and goldust should be tag champs and have sandow cash in. I think we can all agree that we're sick of del rio.
