Was watching a video to do with Undertaker & Edge there, which is my favourite feud of all time; so I thought I'd ask you guys what your favourite ever feud is?

Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold from 1996-1997.
Easily. EASILY.
It's the feud that got me into wrestling and kept me there.

Looking through this thread, surprisingly, I don't think anyone mentioned Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart. Some great matches with true to life animosity. Not to mention, it practically spanned 2 decades, and although they didn't have THAT many matches, the ones they had were some of the best. Definitely near the top of my list of greatest feuds.

WM12 was a total snooze.....the layout of the match was destroyed by both mens egos and we ended up with 40 minutes of headlocks and a total crap ending that IMO made neither man look good. Survivors Series 97 wasn't anything to write home over either. to me its an eternal shame that these two never had a great match that cemented their rivalry.

This.
However, I think their Survivor Series match would have been greatness had we seen it all the way through. I know it was STIFF as hell.
I've heard conflicting stories about this match. I remember reading the match was only like 50% in when the screwjob happened. I also read that when Bret reversed the Sharpshooter was when Hunter and Chyna were going to run in along with the Harts eventually to cause a double DQ.
I wonder which is correct?

Survivors Series 97 wasn't anything to write home over either. to me its an eternal shame that these two never had a great match that cemented their rivalry. That is the only drawback to me. As good as their feud was, it could've been that much better. And the fact that it was so political and the real animosity towards each other is most likely the reason they didn't work together more often. As far as their matches go, I look all the way back to the ladder match they had in the early 90's, Survivor Series 92, and hell, even Survivor Series 93(even If Michaels was replacing Lawler). Their match at Wrestlemania 12 is one of my favorites, even though I could understand why someone wouldn't like it. At the time, it really felt like the 2 best wrestlers in the World were facing off for an unheard-of at the time, 1 hour match. And Survivor Series 97 felt like the perfect ending to their on again off again in-ring feud. It was a knock down, drag out(I thought the crowd was going to kill Shawn at one point) brawl that ended up being the most controversial match in history. Every match they had was different(if I could remember that far back, didn't the Rockers have some matches with the Hart Foundation? ) even though they had very few. Like I said, not my favorite, but definitely a rivalry for the ages that was unfortunately overshadowed by politics and personal differences. Yes, sadly, it could have been so much more......

don't forget,we had 2 major PPV matches between them cancelled:
1) Mania 13. was scheduled to be the rematch from Mania XII,this time with Bret regaining the Belt. we all know how that ended up,with Shawn "losing his smile"...
2) KOTR 1997. the remtach was next scheduled for here. but Bret's knee was healing slowly from surgery, and it ended up being HBK vs Austin instead.
when you think about it...they only had 3 PPV matches between them. Survivor Series 1992, WrestleMania XII,and Survivor Series 1997. that's astounding.
