Def want to see his early to mid 90s look with the American flag trunks. I think it's the most definitive look for his WWF run and also when he was champ. This would go great with yoko, diesel, purple taker, bret, etc. and so I'd rather them make a figure that can add something to what we already have.

Dear MATTEl.. thank you!. Please understand the USA WWF 1994 would be the best option, it was his biggest run in the business and that information comes straight from Lex's mouth.. the nwa version is boring simple and would not stand out in a package on a toysRus shelf.... just imagine the USA version would even sell to 9 year olds who have no CLUE who Lex is.. because he appears like a SUPERHERO awesome superstar wrestler reppin the USA!!!  the only selling point of a nwo version would be the nwo shirt.. otherwise his look is once again boring and only memorable to those fans from 98,99. obviously the wwf intro would be awesome looking as well..but not as appealing on the shelf to strangers which is probably very important in terms of sale.  who agrees ? I completely agree. When I think Lex Lugar, I think the USA look. And i can honestly say it's (IMO) the coolest/most interesting look. |

first off....this is the best news/post ever. I grew up in NYC. We didn't get NWA/WCW up there. It was all WWF. So my first memories of Lex Luger is The Narcissist gimmick. Cool entrance....but ultimately I didnt care for it much. But the whole USA, Lex Express thing. I was all about. Lex Luger slamming Yokozuna was the 90's version of Hulk slamming Andre. It was a big deal to my little 10 yr old brain.  USA/Lex Express/Allied Powers is the way to go. Four Horseman will not be complete without Flair. A WCW Lex....has no Sting or NWO Wolfpac figs to go with. (all of our NWO figs are based on the original Black/White NWO) NWA attires are all solid colors w/ no design. NWO Wolfpac is black jeans tucked into boots (like shield figs). These would be easier fixups. Plus i doubt you have rights to NWA/WCW belts. The hair for an Allied Powers/USA/Lex Express would be the same as a Narcissist version. But the USA look is way more detailed and would pop off the shelf. We could take a USA Lex and just acetone the flag design off and make are own narcissists. maybe u could make the USA versions hair slightly longer then it should be.......to make it easier to use for an NWA version? as far as our collections go: RSC Bret Hart, Yokozuna, Purple gloved Undertaker, Diesel, Mr Perfect (WM heritage based on his match w/ Luger), King Kong Bundy, Cowboy tassled shirt Macho Mans, Million Dollar Man. he fits in w/ all those figures we have already. Which we'll likely get more New Generations figs once yall finally make Razor Ramon & Doink. this. Perfect. Couldn't have said it better myself. |

I love the idea of the USA outfit, but I also love the idea of the narcissist outfit with a mirror accessory! Mattel could pull it off too! They could use that reflective foil-like material that's used with Barbie dolls to immitate the glass!

"Allied" Lex Luger had longer hair than "USA" Lex Luger. I think a long hired "Allied" Lex head would make a very suitable NWA Lex head. (for head swapping/customizing)

Voted for Allied Powers since the colors would pop and likely attract the youth demographic. Allied Power outfit could come with Made In USA jacket if not over budget with paint design already, but USA flag is more likely. SummerSlam 93 outfit (with actual flaps on tights and more/brighter gold) would be incredible. Narcissist would be my second choice with full body mirror or cape. All other options are, aesthetically, too boring and not likely to attract those outside of legend collectors.

This is awesome news! Thanks for not only sharing, but asking for our input. I think that the best choice would be either of his WWF gimmicks (USA or Narcissist) not only due to the interesting look/attires, but because this was what he was most known for. As of this posting, the combined votes for one of his WWF attires is close to 65% of the total voting.

His simple black trunks and white boots when he beat Hogan for the title in '97. Simple but it was a staple of Luger's look in the mid-late 90s.

I voted for Narcissist. I don't think he would come with a mirror, but not a bad idea, I just see that to pricey for Mattel to make. Maybe a cloth entrance robe with silver and purple attire.
I hope Mattel's next announcement is for the Hulkster?
