Could also set up With one of the "mystery entrants" being..... Triple H himself..... Not too sure about the Triple H stuff, honestly I feel he should step back and leave active appearances to rare occasions, especially in this situation. But yeah, it also makes getting a spot in the Rumble so much more important and could leave some mid-carders to have some feuds over the IC title and not clutter up the Rumble The "COO" in the Rumble could make for an interesting dynamic.... like, some guys would be afraid to go after him..... someone like Santino might just eliminate himself just to avoid having to fight him - someone else (like Bryan) could take the fight to him - and others, like The Shield, could defend him..... The unfortunate one who actually eliminated Triple H from the Rumble would then face consequences on RAW the next night.... setting that individual up for a good storyline.... If the other surprise entrant, The Undertaker, eliminated Triple H - Hunter could then find someone to end the streak at Wrestlemania as retribution.... that could be fun! Lots of possibilities here.... while I wouldn't want Triple H to win - it would be interesting to have him in the match...

It would be awesome to see the WWE Title up for grabs again at the Rumble, however it will never hold up to the '92 Rumble.

But the scenario I've laid out could come CLOSE.... they could really load the Rumble with a lot of star-power.... and having someone like CM Punk or Daniel Bryan "go the distance", even if they lose, would be HUGE.

I'd like that, but having nothing but screwjobs until January would be disastrous for WWE. What if the Champion gets hurt at TLC? The title would be naturally vacated in time for the Royal Rumble.
OR the title remains vacated until then, not up for grabs. The main events of Survivor Series & TLC could easily be grudge matches with no title on the line.
Not a fan of screwing the fans out of solid finishes for 4 months.

You're right, except for the fact that it does mean alot. Kinda why the top two stars are usually competing for it. In story line, yeah, it does mean a lot. But it's not like a Superbowl ring, or a Stanley Cup... It's just a prop. Kind of why two fake fighters are predetermining who gets it. But you could do that with anything in pro wrestling to try and justify whatever. "It's all fake so it doesn't matter anyway" doesn't justify an important movie plot point so why should it be okay with wrestling? Especially when discussing that's going to be done for storyline purposes.

Another way they could do it is have Daniel Bryan win the belt at HIAC and in the months after Triple H tries everything possible to take it from him, including having him defend it in the Royal Rumble. YES! Forget about vacating the title. Having Bryan go in the Rumble as WWE Champion and having to survive against 29 other men would be something I'd want to see.

The idea is good, but this idea would work if they did the WWE Title vacancy, like after Survivor Series, have a screwy finish at TLC, then have the WWE Title be decided at the Rumble. Right now, it would not work because one screwy finish at a PPV, it's alright, but to have screwy finishes in Hell in a Cell, Survivor Series and TLC, it would piss off a lot of fans and might cause people not to order the PPVs.
