No more Benoit threads until the weird kids learn that murdering your wife and child is not Hall of Fame worthy. True, that is not Hall of Fame worthy. His great wrestling career, which is what most of us (if not all) know him for, is what is Hall of Fame worthy.

And when he decided to murder his wife and child, he voided his entire HOF worthy wrestling career. Flushed it down the toilet. His actions that one tragic weekend will forever overshadow his "great" 20 plus year pro wrestling career. And that's the way it should be. I never want the sick bastard on my TV again that's for sure. I don't want my kids seeing this man in the hall of famers list 10 years from now and asking me "daddy who's chris Benoit" because honestly he dosent deserve for any future generation to know who he is or see him wrestle. He deserves absolutely no legacy. And I couldn't be happier that he has been written out of history. Anyone who feels otherwise blatantly supports a murderer because the real man Chris Benoit isn't the guy we watched give diving head butts and cross faces every week, that's the character for television, the real man Chris Benoit is a cold blooded murderer and should never be remembered for anything otherwise.

Alright, brother, my intention is not to be condescending, so if I come off that way, I'm sorry. I looked at your profile and see that you are 20 years old. Chances are you have never been married and you don't have children. I'm a little bit older than you (29) and have presumably had a tad more life experience. I've been with my wife for 6 years and we have a beautiful 3 year old daughter with a son on the way. My family is awesome. I love them more than anything or anyone. There is nothing that I wouldn't do for either of them. You probably haven't been able to experience the kind of love that a father or husband feels, so you might not understand where I'm coming from. To have a father and husband betray the people that he has sworn to protect and murder them is the most disgusting thing that I can imagine. Two people who should have felt safe with him were betrayed. His son had posters of him on his wall and his action figures scattered throughout his room. He worshipped his dad and he was rewarded by being strangled to death. I understand what your position is now and while you're right, Benoit was phenomenal in the ring, I would like to have this conversation with you in 10 years or so when you have children. I think your prospective might change.

I dont know why they have shunned Benoit, yet still allow Jimmy Snuka on their air waves, mentioning his name and putting him over. Snuka killed a girl in his hotel room. Never convicted and its been a cold case for like 30 years now. But I heard they reopened the case in light of new evidence against Snuka. WWE, a company that puts people who rape and people who murder in their hall of fame, but you better not mention Benoit. FTR I don't think Benoit should be in the HOF, but it's pretty hypocritical to allow Tyson and Snuka in. It's also worth noting that Verne Gagne wasn't removed from the HOF after killing someone. It's all about publicity, promoting Benoit would garner a LOT of bad publicity.

Before this gets out of hand, Benoit being in the tribute video: Does not mean he is getting a figure Does not mean he is going to be DLC in the new game Does not mean he is going to the HOF next year.

I think your prospective might change. Not saying he should be rewarded for anything or not. I do think that he "betrayed" his family if he committed those sick acts. In fact, if you are able to admit he was phenomenal in the ring, I can even admit that he shouldn't be marketed and constantly mentioned because of what happened. What does piss me off is when people try to act like he never existed nor he did anything in the ring. Thing is, both, the good stuff in the ring and the sick stuff in his life happened.

It's so hard for me to understand why people say we support a murderer as if we were saying what he did was right. I, for one, have never said what happened was correct or should be forgotten. He did something horrible before killing himself AND he had a great wrestling career. Both things happened.

If you honestly can't see how Benoits REAL LIFE double murder suicide which he did as himself. The REAL PERSOn named Chris Benoit. Overshadows his SCRIPTED CIRCUS/SOAP OPRA pro wrestling career where he was a FAKE CHARACTER, just as real as Dr. Spock. . Then you're certainly past the point where someone can explain this to you.

He did something horrible before killing himself AND he had a great wrestling career. Both things happened. The two things are not equal though, are they? All the silly "Benoit shud b in HOF, stop ignoring him Vince he rulz!" type statements, by their very nature, are saying that murdering your wife and son is less important than doing some crisp German suplexes in a wrestling match. In reality, murdering your wife and son vastly overshadows any number of crisp German suplexes in wrestling matches.

What Benoit did was horrible but a lot of you guys are forgetting that the man was literally out of his mind due to years of head abuse from entertaining us, the fans. The guy had the brain of an 80 year old alzheimers patient from doing all the crazy spots that we, yes we, the fans loved to see.
Now I'm not saying Benoit should be in the HOF because what he did was a horrible, horrible act. I am fine that the WWE has distanced themselves from him. But I think its funny that fans, especially the IWC, criticize other fans like myself who still enjoy watching the mans work and discussing what he did in the ring when everybody was praising the man when he was alive.
If you don't want to discuss him that's fine. Just don't criticize the fans who do.
