With E24 recently being found by some in retail and last weekends ringside fest display previews this wont be a hot topic. I havent been on here much since the initial release E22. oh well....
Elite 23 Macho Man has really grown on me, it reminds me a lot of another favorite of mine DM2 Ultimate Warrior. Both figures are two of the most ambitious attempts Mattels has done as far as detailed attires and because of that neither one are 'flawless' which is rather unrealistic anyways. Considering the required attention to details, I think Mattel nailed both of them pretty good. Aside from a little attire discrepancies, I recall both having mixed reviews on the headscan. But for the match specific attires I thought the stoic warrior was perfect for his calm demeanor for the retirement match (true, his hair style is off a bit) and the savage hair/face captures his 'on his toes' anger/concern for the nude liz photo reveal.
E23 Savage nor DM2 Warrior are not the most accurate figure of either guys mattels has released but seeing other peoples collections those are 2 figures that really POP out and are must owns for Flashback/legends collectors.
Has anyone else warmed up to the E23 macho now that its widely available in retail?

Count me in. When I first saw the scan, I hated it. I'm a big Savage fan, but at first I thought the scan was just "off". Couldn't put my finger on why. A friend got me the figure as a gift (I was going to pass on it), and I'm so glad he did. It's really grown on me and it's a great figure. Now I don't feel there's anything "off" about it. It's just a different Savage face and it works.

Ive been warmed up to E23 Macho since I first saw protos. This coming from a guy who hasnt liked any other mattel Machos before (besides nwo and maybe dm) I had to have it from the moment I saw it. Now that I do have it I can say that its easily one of the best figures of the year if not in general.

One of my favorite figures from one of my favorite matches. The distressed, rage-filled, worn out scan is perfect.

I love it! I swapped mine onto the L5 Savage. Somehow got Elizabeth to sit on his shoulder for the post WMIV celebration....My personal favorite WM moment.

DM Series 3 Warrior is probably my favorite all round Mattel WWE figure, glad I have one MOC.

I've updated the belt to the blue globe after I took this pic.

If only that L5 Macho Man was in pink trunks it'd be a perfect figure. IMO the E23 headscan is the absolute best Randy Savage they've done. Blows the original and especially the nWo Macho Man headscan out the water.

The E23 savage is a must own to me. that attire in itself really pops in a collection

It's easily the best Savage head sculpt/scan ever, IMO. It's just a shame the hat and glasses don't fit.

marino13 That looks perfect especially with Liz to go with it. Nice touch with the custom fingers. I too agree that its the best macho head scan we've gotten.

I love this new head scan, the head scans before E23 look cartoonish to me
