UFC 169: Aldo vs. Lamas; Cruz vs. Barao

Looking good so far. I'm probably most excited for Cruz/Barao.

As for the FOX show a week before, I'm not sure what that will leave for that card. I will say though, every FOX card has at least been solid, and some completely stacked. So I wouldn't be too concerned. I'm thinking Cormier/Davis, Melendez/Grant, Lombard/Kim. Maybe even throw Machida on there.

...wow, what a great card! It's quite rare to have 2 title fights on the same bill - really looking forward to Cruz/Barao (hopefully, it will finally take place.) And Overeem/Mir is a must-win for both guys - Overeem's been so disappointing lately... he looked like a killer in Strikeforce. This is a good match-up for him though... he should overwhelm Mir with strikes.

I was so disappointed when I heard he got injured yet AGAIN. I bet he still wanted to hold onto the belt. I'm glad they FINALLY stripped him of the belt. That was a long time coming. You just can't sit out for over 2 years and hold onto the belt without defending it in that time. He may go down as one of the longest reigning UFC Bantamweight champions, but he wasn't defending it in the time he had it. That will be the asterisk next to his name in the record books.

I really don't know if he will ever come back. He seems to be VERY injury prone. Just when it looks like there might be light at the end of the tunnel for his return, he goes down with injury again. He's been out of action for over 2 years and that's a long lay-off. I think Cruz might just end up calling it a career.

Barao definitely deserves to be declared undisputed champion. He should've had that honor a long damn time ago. He's been fighting his ass off and defending the Interim belt while Cruz has been out. Without question, he's the rightful Undisputed UFC Bantamweight champion.

I'm so excited for Frank Mir vs Overeem. It's funny during his feud with Brock Lesnar I HATED Mir yet he would almost always win, since Brock left I started going for Mir and now he's always losing lol I hope Mir catches Overeems knees and subs him somehow

I also got Faber winning tonight

My God, I am SO in' pissed off right now, I almost can't even think straight. What a horse-sh*t stoppage that was. The majority of those shots from Barao were all blocked by Faber. Sure, he got rocked and dropped, but no ing way was he out. If it ain't the judges, it's the ing referees making bullsh*t calls and stoppages. You can't win either way.

That was THE worst stoppage I have ever seen. I can't believe Mike Goldberg actually called that ground and pound. That was the farthest thing from ground and pound since basically everything was blocked. Maybe one shot got through and Faber blocked the all the rest. I was furious when Herb Dean stopped that. That was the most un-justified stoppage ever, in my opinion. I feel so bad for Faber right now.

If I were in charge, I'd give him a rematch, just because that stoppage was SO bad. That's deserving of another shot when the referee blows it for you. Faber didn't lose that fight. Herb Dean lost it on Faber's behalf.

Nothin' we can do about it now. Herb Dean made the sh*ttiest call ever. That was awful. It is what it is. And it's bullsh*t.

And Aldo is still the greatest Featherweight ever. And Mir, it's time to hang it up. 4 straight losses. Wow. He can't cut the mustard anymore. He's done.

I am SO disappointed with that outcome in the main event. What a rip. Faber got screwed.

To be fair, he's earned this title shot more than any he's gotten since coming up from WEC. I won't deny that he has the UFC machine behind him and probably always will though.
